Hi everyone, my name, is maisha and i'm a sephora beauty director and today's video is all about leave-in conditioner. Now i did a video the other day that had a bunch of different types of conditioners, deep conditioners, leave-in conditioners, regular conditioners, but this is just leave-in conditioner, and this is sort of like a passion product for me because i have such dry hair. I would say everybody needs leave-in, conditioner i'd, say the only hair type that maybe wouldn't use a leave-in conditioner, someone with very naturally oily or super super straight hair that never really gets dry, that they have to wash quite a bit. But if you have any type of dryness at all, you want to pay attention to these leave-in conditioners, so the first one is one. I use pretty much every single time i wash my hair, try to switch it up a lot, because you all ask me what i use in my hair and i want to be able to tell you a variety of products, but this is something that has been Going on for many many months, this is from bumble and bumble. This is the hairdresser's, invisible oil heat uv protective primer, so they have a regular just an oil, that's really popular! You might have heard of that's a really lightweight oil feels really slick in the hands. This is a primer, so bumble and bumble. I feel like their primers. Just don't get the attention they need they're, so so great. So this is something that i recommend putting on in the shower anytime, you put a moisturizing product on when your hair is still wet. When your skin is still wet, it absorbs so much better. So before you get out the shower spritz this on your hair, it'll, just kind of like soak it in and absorb it as those water droplets absorb into your hair. So this has a super lightweight texture. I'M going to put quite a bit so you can see it has a little bit of a milky texture to it. It'S almost completely watery, but it has a little bit of something - and i use this as it's sort of you know, for as a primer before i put in my other products, my oil and my creamy products. So this is really great because it has my heat protection. So by the time i'm done - and i diffuse my hair - i don't have to add anything extra. My hair also tends to turn kind of like a reddish color in the sun. The sun can be quite damaging if you have highlights, or a certain hair color you're going to want to use something with uv protection. So it's great and for me i feel like this lasts until i wash my hair, but i usually will put this in every other day just to sort of re-up on that protection. It has six different oils, but you would never know it by the feel of it because it just feels watery and kind of milky. You can do this on damp hair. I feel like it works better, but also dry hair, like the ends of my hair. Get really dry, especially when i need to cut so just kind of spray it on certain areas or if i put a lot of product on my edges, i might rehydrate it with this, but one of my absolute favorite products. I look into bumble and bumble primers. They work great, is leave-in conditioners, so you'll find a lot of commonalities between leave-in conditioners. A lot of them have lots of hydrating oils that they put into formulas to make them super hydrating and seal in your hydration. A lot of them have heat protection and uv protection. Some only have heat protection. Some are a little bit creamier or thicker than others. So it's really going to be up to you, which one you prefer. If you know that your hair likes a certain oil or likes a certain ingredient, you might want to stick with that. Like i'll talk about pattern in a second that has sweet almond oil in it, my hair loves that and the only reason i know that is because every time i really like a product, i look at the ingredient list and i keep finding like things that keep Popping up like baobab oil and sweet almond oil, and i'm like oh, my hair - really likes that or my hair doesn't really react very well. So pay attention to your ingredient labels. They will teach you quite a bit so from jisu. This is the honey infused leave-in conditioner known for the honey that comes from their family farm, so this also has uv and heat protection. This also has baobab oil in it again, i pay attention to ingredients that my hair responds really well to, and i already used a lot of baobab oil in my hair at my routine already, so i knew i was really going to like this and, like the Hydration factor so it also has argan oil and vitamin b5, so it's a really great all-around hair product. It also has that signature scent that jisoo does really well, which is really nice, and you can kind of see. The viscosity of this is a little bit thicker. A little bit creamier, it builds a little bit more when you work it in it kind of dissipates to like a watery consistency, but same thing. I highly recommend putting on your leave-in conditioner in the shower. If you put on other products be after this, you can definitely also do that in the shower. If you want to, if you have super dry hair like mine, sometimes i do the entire hydrating machine in the shower. I have a speaker in there. I have a mirror in there. The whole thing it just kind of keeps my hair, wet and hydrated. Until i get all those products in there and i find that my hydration lasts longer throughout the week, you can use this to restyle. If you want to, you can use it on the ends, if you have a ponytail that has some creases in it put some of this in your hair, go ahead and blow dry, it kind of get that crease out, but it works really really well for. Overall hydration - and i can rub it in and what i like to do when i'm playing with products is see how well they kind of blend together. So i like to layer them in my hand, and if i get any like balling or peeling, i know i might not layer them the same way, but these are perfect. Just soaking right in so next up from whey uh is a really cool collab. This is the whey embryo mojave ghost leave-in conditioner, so they did this really cool collab with byreto and they're known for their fragrances. So this is one of their very popular ones. Mojave ghost it has a sort of ambrette cedar wood type of scent, which is really really nice and their fragrances are luxury fragrances. So it's an investment. So i like the fact that i can sort of try it out in my leave-in conditioner and kind of i love ambrette and cedarwood, and things like that. So this smells amazing to me. So if you've ever wanted to try mojave ghost, this would be a really great way to try it. So this has lots of nice oils in it, but it feels really lightweight vitamin b5 and it has heat protection. I would say similar a similar consistency to the juicy one, maybe a little bit thicker, but as you rub it in it is going to sort of dissipate into the hair again in the shower. If you never put your hair products on in the shower your moisturizing products, at least just try it, it makes your hair so much more hydrated and i feel, like your hair, just kind of accepts the moisture a lot more. So last but not least, is pattern. Beauty by tracy ellis ross - and this is the leave-in conditioner now this is one of our new black own brands and i'm not gon na lie about the entire line when it came out, so i'm super happy that sephora has it now. So this is a line that is for curlier coilier, maybe like a wavy type two. If it's a little bit coarser a little bit drier um, it's a thicker consistency. I like super thick hair products, because i have very coarse hair and it's high porosity, so it can just drink all that product. You can kind of see it's pretty thick, it's not moving at all on my hand. Now this has a ton of moisturizing oils and ingredients, and things like that. I'M argan oil, avocado oil, sweet almond oil. Again, i love sweet almond oil. It works so well for my hair and it also has a little bit of biotin and aloe. So it has all the moisturizing ingredients. Curlier hair tends to be a little bit drier and the reason why is let's see, let's think of a weird metaphor, because i'm good with those. So if you were, you know, delivering a precarious package and you had to go down a street you'd probably want to go down the street that was straight and narrow versus a street that was windy and twisty and had all these twists and turns so. The oil at your scalp is the same way when you have straight hair. It'S probably why your hair gets super oily super straight. The oil falls right down down to the tips your hair gets really oily when you have curly hair like mine, especially with all these different curl patterns. I have going on that oil. You know going on this journey of curly coily twists and turns, and it rarely ever makes it to the bottom of my hair. So i have to add oil in to sort of supplement for that, so the curlier or coilier hair is you'll, find that the more moisturizing heavier products tend to work better for you, my last wash day again, i switch it up to try new things. I put this on first in my lco method. This is my my leave-in and then i did my cream and then i didn't oil on top of that, and it was great um and it just my hydration lasts a lot longer when i seal everything in with a leave-in conditioner and put an oil on top And this has a nice scent - i like my nice scent, so this is kind of a neroli patchouli type of scent, but it's really subtle. I don't like things in my hair that are a little bit too pronounced fragrance wise, but it feels really really great and again coilier here curlier here, if you're a type 2, which is a little bit more wavy um, if you have coarser hair or drier hair. This could definitely work, or you could just spot treat with this. If you have really dry ends, maybe from some processing or some damage, you could put it just on the end. You could put it just on certain areas like the nape of my neck tends to be really dry. I don't know why. Maybe because i sleep on it but super nice consistency, super super creamy and your hair just drinks it up. So that's it again. I think leave-in conditioner is great in almost everyone's hair, routine. It'S like going without moisturizer most people. Don'T even do that at all. They need a little bit of moisture a little bit of help. So let us know in the comment section what your favorite one is, how you like to use it. I feel, like you, all, learn a lot from each other uh in the comment sections and you help each other out. So that's always nice to see. SharonDJohnson515: Aveda Nutriplenish leave-in is my go-to. It is unmatched. Viscous milky spray w/lots of emolients. Also love Smooth Naturals Perfect Moisture leave-in. It's a great cream leave-in without glycerin. I'm high porosity with fine coily strands.

Joan Nixon: Whenever I get my sephora notification I go right to it!! I look forward to listening and learning from you!! You helped my mindset during the pandemic!!! So, thank you so much!

Pauline Newman: Whenever Myiesha is on, I have my notebook out and I take notes while simultaneously adding to my cart.

Keisha Lee: I Love Myiesha, she explains any given topic really well!!

Lisa Anderson: My daughter is mixed, has thick curly hair, but it is silky, if that makes sense. She tries to wear it natural and down, but the back third of her hair shrinks so badly! If anyone could recommend a product, or 10, we would appreciate it. I love to watch these videos and scan through the comments for help. Thank you!

Zaire hart: I have very dry curly hair with my 4B hair but since using the pattern leave in conditioner it moisturizes my hair wonderfully and it’s like I gave my hair a huge glass of water to hydrate itself it’s amazing. And leaves my hair good for a long time especially on wash day after everything is done I like to put it in my hair as my last step after I detangle my hair again after everything is done with washing and conditioning my hair

Carol Cooks: Yay Myeisha! My favorite! Okay ready to learn, you look great as always! Love your hair!

Yvonne Hubbard: Love this especially because the season is changing here in NY. Great info, and great metaphor.

Monique Royster: Awesome! Would love to see Melanin Hair Care line at Sephora a great black women own line

Laurina Held: Has anyone else had a horrible experience with Sephora? I decided to take plunge and order quality products and leave the drug store behind. My order was sent in 2 shipments and first came with used products!!! Second shipment came with missing products and products that leaked during shipment! So mad and aggravated with such a well known company

Kirstin Piche: Which one would you recommend for very fine 3a/b, low density, high porosity curls? Thanks

Danielle Dupree: I have hair like yours,so this is helpful!!

Mary Elkhair: You're SO beautiful Myeisha! x

Venetra Roberson: What foundation are you wearing? Looks great.

Caramel Swatches: Why do you have such wildly inaccurate information in your shade finder, Sephora? Why can I put in a foundation that is Yara Shahidi’s color and the shade finder tells me the matching foundation in another brand is Lupita Nyong’o’s color? Y’all really want us to know gku think we all look alike, don’t you?

JustLiss: I needed this video much love
