Hi guys welcome back to my channel and welcome back to another video in today's video. I'M gon na be sharing with you. Some mistakes that US wavy, haired girls, make and hopefully help you guys to change your habits and achieve better results with your waves or curls, especially if you are newer to learning how to take care of your wavy textured hair. It can definitely be a learning process and it can be hard to break those old habits. I do want to say. First of all, I do not strictly follow the curly girl method, so these are things that I personally don't like to do with my hair, at least not often because I do see a difference, even though, like I said, I don't strictly follow the curly girl method. There are still certain things that I do agree with and that I think, are bad for your hair. There'S also some things in here that maybe you haven't really considered just with the difference between curly and wavy hair, so we're gon na get into all of that. But first, if you do enjoy this video, I would love for you to give it a thumbs up and subscribe down below. If you have not already, you can also come join me on Instagram and Twitter. They are linked in my description box and we're just gon na go ahead and get into these hair tips. So one thing that I do want to start off with that is mentioned in the curly girl method, I believe, is dry, brushing your hair, so this could be something that you didn't even realize. Was it bad for your hair if you're not super into wavy hair care videos - and you may be just discovering this as your first one? I don't know that is a very common mistake, but it's one of the first things that I say to stop doing. If you're going to transition into getting more definition and taking better care of your waves or curls, because if your hair is already dry any wave or curl definition that you have has the chance to get ruined. So if you're running your fingers through your hair constantly or if you're, taking a brush or even a comb like a wide toothed comb and running it through your dry hair, it's going to completely get rid of all of your definite you're. Gon na be pulling and tugging on the hair, and it's really just not great for your hair, so I definitely recommend brushing or combing your hair. I personally use a wide tooth comb before you get into the shower or even while you have wet hair in the shower. I know some people say it's not great to detangle your hair when it is wet unless you're doing finger detangling. But for me personally, I find that finger. Detangling isn't quite enough, and I know it's the thing for a lot of you guys. So I do recommend using a comb or a brush, but I just recommend doing it before you get in the shower or while your hair is wet in the shower. Just because that way, when your hair is still wet and you're done, washing it and styling it. You can scrunch it get that wave or curl definition. It will dry that way, and then you want to keep it that way. You want to keep that momentum and, if you're brushing your hair when it's dry you're just going to completely destroy all of the coils or waves or definition that you had so the next tip is a very common one as well. A lot of people know this. One, but it is still very important, so I just thought I would mention it in case you have been doing this drying your hair with a regular towel. Honestly, I would say no matter what hair type you have, even if you have straight hair drying, your hair with a towel is not ideal, because it is very harsh and can give you a lot of frizz. One of the biggest things with frizz is using a regular towel to dry your hair, especially if you have wavy or curly hair. Like I said it's going to make a big difference if you start using a soft cotton t-shirt or microfiber towel something different like that. Just don't use your regular body towels to dry your hair because you're just giving it all this frizz and really damaging your hair when it comes down to it. So the next thing that kind of has a lot to it is the difference between wavy, hair and curly hair and how they react to heavy cream thick products. I wrote down some talking points here just so I could remember everything that I wanted to say and one of the big things with wavy hair that can cause frizziness where your hair feels moisturized, but it has limp, frizzy, look, it is built up and I think That a lot of people going back to the curly girl method who get into that and that whole method and everything if you have wavy hair, you know, think oh, I should use a co-wash um. I should use thick creamy products to give me definition, but at the end of the day that is going to cause buildup, it just is even if it's good for your hair. That'S why I definitely recommend using a clarifying shampoo, which is probably going to be a shampoo that has sulfates in it and if you follow the curly girl method, you're, probably gon na be like whoa, so fades evil. But you need to use sulfates every once in a while, even if it's just a couple of times a month to kind of get rid of that buildup on your scalp and on your hair that comes with using curly and wavy girl products, whether that's a thick Gel a thick cream, even if you are using products with any kinds of silicones in it, which I personally am NOT just like 100 % silicone free. I do use some products that have silicone that work really well for me, and you do need to be able to get rid of that silicone buildup that shea butter buildup whatever it is that you're using on your waves or curls. So that is definitely a big thing, especially if you have wavy your hair compared to curly your hair. You definitely want to work on getting that build-up. It'S like, I said it does create frizz and then also just in general, using thicker heavier like creams and butters. For wavy hair isn't always a good idea unless you're using a very, very small amount and spreading it evenly throughout the hair. I definitely find that it waves my hair down and doesn't give me the kind of bounce that I want. If I use products that are too thick for my waves - and that is something that I've learned since previous wavy hair videos, I think the first wavy hair video that I did was my routine. When I had long hair - and I was using like a Shea Moisture, curl butter or something like that - and it was a thicker product and people were recommending to use something lighter like a curl milk or a wave styler of some sort. So I think, switching over to lighter product or using a very small amount of thick products has helped a lot in keeping my hair, voluminous and bouncy. Because for me personally, I really like to have volume in my hair. I don't like flat waves, even if they're defined I just prefer to have you know some volume at the root of my hair. Going along with that, though, you don't want to be stripping your hair, you do want to be adding moisture back in when you are using a clarifying or kind of sulfate stripping shampoo to get rid of that build-up. You want to go back in and deep conditioned moisturize your hair, not deep conditioning can be a big mistake. I think I don't do it enough personally, but I think it's great to do a hair mask a couple of times a month or once a week. I just think it's great for your hair and then you can go in once or twice a month even and just remove it that builds up with a clarifying shampoo. But for me personally, I have lightened my hair and I do use olaplex as mask before I get in the shower and wash my hair, and I find that that really helps to repair my hair, and I know it's not like a traditional, deep conditioner. If it's not meant to be used on wet hair, but it does make a difference in how my hair heals after having lightened it, because that is something that I have been doing lately. You can't really tell on this lighting, but I have light in my hair and it makes a big difference to be using something to replenish it and help repair it, because it is not perfect right now, it's not at its best, but it can be. But I personally have fun with my hair I like to do things that are different if I feel like straightening my hair or heat styling it if I feel like lightening my hair or doing a different color, something fun. I'M gon na do that, and I think that is also important is to not let your self stress too much about it, because I know that people can get really intense about curly and wavy hair and have all of these rules kind of like the curly girl Method book does and for me personally I just don't stress about it too much. I like to be able to enjoy my hair, and let me know if you guys want me to do a video on, like all the reasons and break it down, why I don't follow the curly girl method, because I know I did mention the curly girl method In my first hair care video when I talked about all the different rules - and I think that a lot I've learned a lot since then in the sense that to just not stress too much about it, because your hair is gon na make it through. If you're still taking care of it, even if you decide to straighten it every now and then or something so yeah going back to what I was saying about, conditioning and moisturize when you're here, that is also really important. You just want to have a nice balance. There I think, it's cool to even do like a DIY hair mask. You can look up DIY hair masks for curly or wavy hair, and I think it's really fun to do that. Just kind of like skincare a face mask um, it's kind of pampering and relaxing, especially right now. In these times it's good to do some pampering for yourself. So I think the last thing that I wanted to mention is how you're applying your product so, for instance, with wavy hair, especially raking your product through your hair and really like finger combing. Your hair, while you're applying your stylers, can actually really pull on your waves, and this is something that I need to get better with. Myself is really just smoothing the product slightly over my hair, like even doing the praying hands method. If you have seen that and then just scrunching the product into your hair, really well, instead of trying to comb it through your hair and really focusing on coating every single strand, if you are applying your hair when it is still damp or wet and you're really Squishing that product in when you're scrunching you're still going to coat all of your hair and get the product throughout all of your hair. So try not to focus too much on combing or raking your hair after you've already washed it just to keep that definition there. I think also that if you do have a very light wave pattern, let's say you have to a hair. It can be better to wait until your hair is just damp to apply your products instead of doing it when your hair is sopping wet, because it can really weigh down hair and make it look flat and not give it the kind of definition that you want. I think you just have to kind of be careful there with the type of hair type that you have and how you're applying your products just play around and kind of figure out what works for your specific hair type, because at the end of the day, we're All different and our hair is all different and our hair is going to react or respond differently to different products. So there may be a product that I really love that you don't. Even if you have the same hair type as me, I do find for me having shorter hair with waves is different than having longer hair. I'Ve done both, and so I know the difference like, for instance, with shorter hair. I find that plopping doesn't work as well, especially if you have two short hair, as short as mine, because when you push it all to the top of your head and you tie it up in that t-shirt, the back pieces can really get flattened and you don't See the same results as you do with long hair, so there's definitely different things with short hair with long hair with wavy or curly hair girls with really curly hair are obviously going to be able to do a little more when it comes to raking products through The hair or adding a lot of product we're us girls with wavy hair, have to be a little more careful in that sense because it can wear hair down and give us less definition. I think every hair type is beautiful, obviously, but sometimes I do wish that I had gorgeous 3a curls, because that is truly my dream. I think 3a hair is just absolutely beautiful. Obviously, every hair type is beautiful, but for me personally sometimes I think maybe if I just wore my natural hair color and I didn't lighten my hair and I followed all the curly girl method rules perfectly and all of these things that I would be able to Have more definition and more curly hair, but at the end of the day, I'm not the kind of person that can fix so strictly two rules like that and never ever stray from them, because I do like change. I do like changing my hair. I, like cutting my hair. I, like dyeing my hair. I can't really stick to the same look for years and years at a time because, that's just not me, I just love playing with my hair and kind of getting creative with the look. So I think it's just great to be creative and do it works for you and I'm gon na stop rambling. Now, because this video is getting really long and we have talked about all the points or the main things that I wanted to talk about. Hopefully I didn't miss anything. I didn't want to do an excessive amount of information in this video, so I just shared about five or six tips, but I do hope that this video helped you out in some way. Maybe you'll learn something from today's video. Let me know in the comments down below if you are enjoying the hair videos and if you want to see more of them, I would love to hear your thoughts before we leave don't forget to subscribe down below. Tabitha Gingerich: For everyone asking about an updated haircare routine, here is my latest one in case you haven’t seen it! https://youtu.be/SCIR-JsuZKI I may do a new one soon if enough things change ❤️ Edit: I did it https://youtu.be/papWMk2cyZI

Niki Sarmah: Mistakes: 1. Dry brushing 1:19 2. Towel drying 3:12 3. Product build up 4:00 4. Too much product 5:49 5. Deep conditioning 6:58 6. Product application 9:37 Edit : wow this is the highest number of likes I've ever got. I love you all.

Kissmyaxe: Notes: •Dry brushing; bad for hair, stop doing, ruins curls. Comb with wide tooth comb in the shower. •Drying hair with regular towel; not ideal because it’s harsh and causes frizz. Use a cotton t-shirt or microfibre towel •Product; build up (thick products). Use clarifying shampoo with sulphates (Waveyer hair rather than curly) •For wavy hair don’t weigh it down with thick products. Use lighter products like a curl milk/ wave styler or use a small amount of product. •Don’t strip hair; make sure to moisturise hair. Do hair masks and don’t use sulphates too often. •Application; for wavy don’t rake because it pulls on the waves. Smooth product over hair and scrunch. If you apply the product when wet and are scrunching you will cover all hair. (For 2a apply product on damp hair)

Anna Burns: I just recently started brushing my fine hair again after 15 years of not. I am very happy that I started again and I don't see any harm in doing it before I wash my hair. I am gentle with my hair, no breaking and it feels so good. I think some of the curly girl rules are just that...rules and nothing more. I will continue with the brushing. Some days I wake up and my hair looks horrible, so I brush it and mist it and scrunch it and it looks SO MUCH better! I was afraid to brush my hair because of the CG rules. I'm glad that I broke the rules. Everyone's hair is different, no need to be stuck in legalities.

Lucy Moore: It feels like no matter what I do, whenever i wake up my hair looks like a birds nest and needs a brush! How do you get round this?

carolinefreak: Finally, someone giving tips on wavy hair! Any of my attempts at the usual CGM stuff have failed. Now I can see it may be because it's aimed more at curlies than wavies... THANK YOU!! Subbed.

Miri: It makes me so happy to finally see someone I can actually relate to! Most of the wavy/curly girls have much longer hair than I do and it’s so refreshing to get to know how you treat your shorter hair :)

Mae: My hair is similar to yours and this is so helpful, I've been using so many heavy products and not clarifying enough and it weighs down everything. This might be saving my waves and curls! Thank you!

Danae190708: I can't thank you enough for posting about cg routine. People with wavy and low porosity hair CANNOT be strictly cg method, we need sulfates to some degree. You are absolutely brilliant. I wish this was talked about more. Silicone is not the only build up we need worry about.

dmn47: Yes to less product! One thing my hair does really well with is a leave in mask as a styler. I personally love the Garnier banana hair mask. I condition as nornal, rinse and then smooth and scrunch in more of the banana mask and my hair LOVES it. I get lightweight and defined and healthy looking waves and curls.

Red Rose: I have curly/wavy hair too and I find I need to do a proper shampoo step every wash because of how much build up I get. I use curly girl friendly shampoos but I find it so weird how little focus there is on clarifying in the curly girl method: it seems to be one of the most forgotten aspects! Really loved this video! Very helpful!

Zahin: You’re the first person I’ve heard that’s mentioned your bottom layer curls getting flattened by plopping - I also have short curly hair and have the exact same problem. How do you avoid plopping and still get curl definition?

Chrisa Spinou: I just discovered your channel and I'm glad I finally found someone with pretty much the same wave/curl pattern as me! Thank you for these tips, can't wait for more hair related videos!! <3

Kassie Johnson: Using a wide tooth comb in the shower while your hair is wet AND has conditioner in it works sooooooo well! The conditioner helps the tangles slip out

TrippNessa: I'm so glad I found your channel, I appreciate your videos a lot. I just feel like my hair is the worst of everything - it's not straight, it's only slightly wavy, it's not curly, it's just ugly, puffy and frizzy no matter what products (or lack of products) I use. I feel inspired to try your advice though, because your hair is very similar to mine but you've been taking care of it a lot better than me apparently. Your hair is so pretty! I hope I can at least get mine to look even just a little nicer, so we'll see how it goes. Thank you again!

Trinity Swartzentruber: I love this. I just realized I have wavy hair although my hair is very long ...I do the plopping and I was told to use mousse and gel but had some frizz. You definitely enlightened me and encouraged me and I can't wait to try what you said tomorrow. Love your videos. I am a good friend of Tanya and your brother Johnny. You are doing such an amazing job. More wavy hair videos for type 2a and 2b which I think I am

Laura: I'm glad I found this video! All the other curly/wavy hair videos I've watched are made by people with long hair. Since I have short hair, much like yours, my expectations for my hair are skewed by those standards EDIT: I agree that plopping doesn't work as well on short hair. (I think my curl pattern is only a 2A.) I've only attempted it twice (once with a t-shirt and once with a silk cap), but neither method gave me consistent looks. Right now I'm trying air drying my hair, and so far the results are better than plopping/sleeping with wet hair

Flower SafeHeart: Thank you for sharing things you've been learning on your hair journey and how you've been open to finding your own methods!

Kayla Jamieson: I cannot stop staring at your hair, it's exactly how I want mine to look. Length, curl, color, it's exactly what I want when I go natural curls. I've avoided my natural curls for 4+ years because of how much work they were to maintain, and the number of bad hair days was just so discouraging. So I've been heat curling them for years, but am thinking about trying to go natural again. This is giving me hope again.

Emily Urbanczyk: Tabitha! Today I used the tips from this video and your other videos and my hair looks so good! It’s never had this much volume before!!! (My hair is thin and tends to lack volume). Also my hair only takes thirty minutes to dry now opposed to two hours just by drying it with a cotton shirt!! This is going to save me so much extra sleep in the morning! Thank you!

emilywinters: Can you please do an updated routine with your short hair?!

t f: This is the second hair video of yours I have watched and I am thankful for you sharing these tips for wavy hair types, it's really helping me bring out my curls. I absolutely love your gorgeous hair, so beautiful and healthy looking!

Zahin: You’re the first person I’ve heard that’s mentioned your bottom layer curls getting flattened by plopping - I also have short curly hair and have the exact same problem. How do you avoid plopping and still get curl definition?

Clare Moore: Hair videos are 12/10! So hard to find 2B/C wave videos on Youtube and I find looking after waves is different than looking after curls! You're so informative and I think it's great content!

Veronica Mendoza: I’m so glad you mentioned the water thing when applying products, I never knew that it was ok to apply them when your hair is damp for more wavy hair, my hair is barely starting to transition and I always thought I had to SOAK my hair through before applying products but then whatever little waves I have never really stay, I’m gonna try this method now. Anyways my point is THANK YOU lmao

Anna G: Hi Tabitha, I've got quite long thick wavy hair and I'm finding knots in it just about every single day. Would you recommend using wide tooth comb on your hair daily? Thanks.

HunToast: Thank you for this Tabitha. Very helpful and you seem very balanced in your views about hair which is refreshing :)

Karla Miranda: I'm so happy I found your videos. The first one I saw was when you had long hair and explained how you take care of your curly hair. My hair it's just a mess and I know it needs care and love. Yeah, I just wanted to thank you for sharing your knowledge and I'm going to start taking care of my hair, I just ordered a few things in Amazon that I hope can help me.

Melanie H: Can you show us tricks for waves with short hair? I think my hair type is more like yours but I don't know how to get my waves to comes out and not be frizzy and dry or weighed down and build up.

Tiana Odden: I recently donated all of my long hair and I found my short hair growing back super wavy and even ringlet shaped around my face, I just ordered love you curls products and tried plopping this morning, thank you for the tips! I definitely noticed a difference with plopping vs not plopping but I wonder what you do then?

Gayle H: I'm really excited to find this video because I feel like you're the first wavy gal I've found with hair that looks EXACTLY like mine- length, texture, and curl pattern all match to a T!!

Rima Ali: I’m on a journey to claim back my waves lol I’m sick of having my hair in a bun all the time.. I love wavy hair.. But I don’t know how to take care of it.. hence here I am!

Amelianna Ross: Thank you for sharing. It is a frustrating journey trying to figure out my hair. I've spent 25 years brushing my hair out and straightening so I must be patient as it does look like yours!

GDH Hayes: Before clarifying shampoo I learned to use baking soda which works fantastically for clarifying my hair. The method I use is simple: mix one tablespoon of baking soda into a cup of warm water and pour over my hair, in the shower, (starting at my crown so that is runs over my scalp) just prior to shampooing my hair. End result is shining clean hair. I only did this every few months, but then I rarely used hair products.

Laura Varela: After having COVID 19 I lost a lot of hair and the new one is wavy, too wavy in some areas.. it’s driving me crazy.. so far these are the best recommendations I have heard.. now I have to apply them and see if they work for me... fingers crossed

amanda.emily_: Just cut my hair to shoulder length so I’m thankful I came across your channel so I know what I’m doing with short wavy hair!

LogicallyBlonde: I have short, highlighted waves too and I find a lot of rules when it comes to cut and style are different than longer haired wavies and curlies. I can't do layers because it will basically straighten my top layer, I opt for an undercut instead to help with the volume at the bottom of my head. I also absolutely cannot plop and opt for microplopping instead. I also have to use a low poo about every other wash, I can't co-wash every time like curlies can. I do clarify but I'm perfectly fine with a CG approved clarifying wash like Kinky Curly Come Clean. My hair also really hates glycerin but I think that's more of a me thing than a wavy/shot haired thing.

Gloria Wagner: Enjoyed watching your tutorials, my haired turned wavy about six years ago and I try desperately not to use a brush to blow it dry curling iron or flat iron but sometimes it just looks like a mess, I stick my head under the water and start all over again

musicchick581: I think you're the first person I've ever seen with pretty much the same kind of hair as mine. It's also super oily. I'm interested in getting started in a hair care routine. I've never done anything with my hair and wear it thrown up a lot. Mine is medium texture and thick, just below my shoulders in layers. The top isn't wavy and it gets weighed down easily unless I keep it short. I think my hair is 2A-2C. I love 3B hair!

julie carbone: Yess more wavy hair videos please!

Studyingwithgemstones: Hi! Thanks for explaining! I just started the Curly Girl Method but am struggling. I have your type of waves for most of my hair but I do have ringlets in the bottom. Those are the only ones that stay, my waves to weigh down a lot. I suspect the Shea Moisture products (shampoo, conditioner, curl cream) I use. I do like the conditioner and would like to use that and the curl cream maybe sometimes (because it was so expensive lol). Do you think I can use a normal shampoo with those products? I wash my hair like once-twice a week.. I'm really struggling lol. Also would like some tips for lightweight products like maybe a mouse or gel?

shana ruth: This is great. I've been making some of these mistakes and wondered why my hair didn't look so great. Thanks ☺

CJ Fox: Really enjoyed your video. Been having problems with my short curly hair and how bes t to take care of it. Thank you for your advice and I look forward to watching more of your videos.

lauren s: These are really good tips!! Most of them I had to learn the hard way, since there's less info out there about styling wavy hair

K: OMG, finally I found a beautiful woman has exact same hair pattern as mine!!! I'm so excited, subscribed!!

Annabella K.: You have beautiful hair! I’m just trying to figure out what to do with my hair. The bottom layers at the back have strong 2a-2b waves that hold up easily until next wash day (3-4 days) without me doing anything special, or even brushing or using a concentrator with the blow dryer. Unlike the front and top layers, which are basically straight, only clumping a little, and scrunching makes them look rather just untidy. I tried to do pin curls on them, but they don’t really hold them. I’ve never had wavy hair on my whole head, so I wonder if it could be any wavier at all. Watching all those curly-wavy videos I started to use SLS free shampoo and I feel the difference while washing, it isn’t as drying. Maybe my hair is a bit damaged despite feeling nice after conditioning. It does need protein, my fine hair becomes a tangled mess without it (mainly the wavy part), that one I’ve already figured out. Anyone had the same experience?

Lori Pohlman: Great tips here. Thank you. I would love to see how you achieve/style this look and a description of how your hair is cut (so it can be explained to a hairstylist). Thank you!

Katie Samuels: I really can't get away with not brushing my hair dry. I live in an English seaside down and the weather is wild! My hair gets blown into all kinds of tangles. My hair is around 2b and I'll lightly brush it with a tangle teezer and then spray with water and scrunch to get the curls/waves back. It doesn't create frizz for me but that is just my personal experience!

Jamila Taleb: Can you do an updated hair routine with the new products you’re using? xx

Deborah: Thank you for this . Wavy hair WAY WAY different than curly. Most of us can’t dump on all the products.

Reese Wilcox: Can you make a video that compares having short, wavy hair and having long, wavy hair? I have only ever had short, wavy hair, but I am considering growing it out, so I just wanted to know your thoughts on that!

Toni Grant: You are definitely right about wavy hair being different short vs long. I cut my hair off about 5 years ago and I never will wear it long again! I keep mine about your length or a couple inches shorter. I love you wear a side part like me too. Every other shorter hair channel I have found usually part theirs in the center. I have my stylist cut mine parted so if I try to mimic one of their hair styles it never acts right. I have been struggling with frizz since I turned 40 and I am about to go crazy dealing with it. I have oily hair until about 3 inches from my scalp. From that point to my ends is extremely dry. I have spent a small fortune on different products and used several different techniques and nothing keeps my hair nice past a day or so. I used to use mainly a cleansing conditioner ( not a co-wash) and my hair looked beautiful but I can’t find one anymore.

Laura S: Yes to this video! Every hair is different and it is not a sin to not follow the CGM exactly. How dare we! All hair is different because, all people are different. I have a mixed up combo of hair. Fine, frizzy, limp and dry. I do like to switch it up, whether it’s the length, color, short or curly. I think I need to listen to my hair.

Samantha Rose: Great video!! I have 2A/B hair & dont know what curly girl method is but I 1) spray my hair with water like 1x a day or 2x to help with styling(wetness makes waves come out) h then apply products 2) Shampoo once every 1-2 weeks with gentle Talieah Wajid or Creme of Nature shampoo 3) Deep condition every Saturday night with mixture of Koils of Nature + Miss Jessies + Mixed Chicks deep conditioner, Castor + Peppermint + Coconut Oils, & Sulfur 8 & Blue Magic greases and sometimes some other things. 4) After I wet my hair in the morning with a spray bottle with water + leave in conditioner mixture, I put on Miss Jessies or Curls leave in conditioner, then Curls Gelle or Ecostyle. I crunch it in, I don't smooth it on. 5) I never comb or brush. I jist dont like it. It works best for me. I just found out diffusers existed I am going to buy one soon!!

Candy Cottrell: Great video and helpful tips I want to try on my type 2 gray hair. I have struggled my whole life with my hair and styles that never were for my real hair type. This is liberating for me!

Dyah Indraswari: Glad i found this video. My hair is just looks like yours, not too curly but more like wavy. I tried CGM once but not really worked for me. Maybe i should try your tips!

Isabel Uchôa: Here's my advice: before I get to the shower I put some oil on hair (it can be coconut oil, argan oil, or olive oil) and when about to wash it, I brush my hair to detangle it (sorry for my English, that's not my first language, Portuguese is).

Charity Miltenberger: Ahhh! I feel like my hair could look like yours some day if I keep at it! Maybe a little less wave. I've been air drying lately since it takes so long to diffuse mine. What do you do for yours?

Zarrad Sana: Finally someone who's hair texture is pretty similar to mine ! Love the video ❤

Daniela Denuta: i have weavy hair, i believe same type as you and sometime is driving me crazy but to be honest i like the fact that first and second day is weavy and then change into other types of weave like and feel like i have 3 styles, sometimes even closer to straight so i believe is a blessing and sometimes can be a nightmare if you don t feel like to style it, hun you forgot to mention that the shorther your hair is, the better holds the curls but when is long, is getting more difficult to hold in place the curls because of the weight

User Name: I’m so fed up with my hair, it can’t make up its mind. Right after I wash it (using the wavy/curly method) I get 2a waves, and sometimes I get a couple of beautiful ringlets. On the second day they drop and my hairs back to frizzy. I’m tired of being unhappy with my hair.

Oriana Velasquez: Hey, could you give us some tips on how hydrate our hair? like masks, deep conditioners (natural or not)... Yours looks so shiny, soft and smooth, and I'd really love to know how did you archieve it because right now mine is just eh, frizzy and not soft or smooth at all. Just shiny on my first day of washing it:(

Lex: Anyone else has oily hair? I have some parts of my hair wavy and some parts are curly put I can’t keep the curls to stay during the night. My hair gets greasy the 2nd day after washing. Anyone have any tips on shampoos and gels/mousse?

Bridget Sattler: I love your soft curls! I have thick hair, with a slight wave & I'm gonna try to cut down on brushing my hair so much & see if I get better waves, bc I love waves/curls! But, I brush often to reduce frizz...I'll have to improvise.

Benjamín Salazar: you should do a curly girl + dyed hair routine-method(? so we know what things we can add in a curly routine

Bethany: What’s a good way to retain the wave after wearing up at the gym? What’s a good gym hair style that doesn’t totally wreck it?

Thabaat Ballali: I think amount of product depends on how thick you hair is. My daughter is a wavy but her hair is crazy thick and its pretty dry so she needs a lot of creme n oil

Gremlins x2: So glad you mentioned damp styling for wavies!! I know this was a couple of months ago, but do you remember what kind of lip stick you were wearing? Super cute!!!

Sherlyn Noble: pls stop hair stereotyping (straight and long) curly/wavy hair is so pretty ❤️ tho, am not against on straight and long hair. every type of hair is beautiful

Eva Alonso: These tips are so good for wavy type hair. Thank you!

Sally Ahmad: Thank you for being normal I love how comfortable you are

Donna Allgaier-Lamberti: I have wavy, silver hair and find it hard to manage. I need to keep things as simplified as possible. Spending two hours on wavy hair (vis curly girl hair video) is just not for me. Now that my hair is asilver I only need to wash my hair now once a week. Frizz is an issue for me!! My hair is wavy and using heavy mouse works best for me.

gabrielaa 000: Ah I love your hair!! great video. I am just starting my curly girl method and I have both wavy and curly hair and it’s as short as your hair. So I was just wondering how do you sleep without destroying its pattern? Do you have any tips of how to style it during the night, I can’t really put it in the bun as it’s too short and bits fall out:)

Ryn Dudley: You should try Viori bars to clean with.. CGM friendly and great cleansers. Environmentally friendly and I just loooove. The conditioner is SO good at detangling too, silky soft

Jensen Croughan: Absolutely loved this video girl!! Thankyou so much

Laura Elena: I have super thick and tangled hair so I have to brush it daily, I try to only target the knots but it still pulls my curls I wish there was an alternative without waiting to brush it when I wash my hair every other day

Carrie-Jessica: I love this video! I am a wavy that modifies CGM to make it work my 2Bish hair. Followed you over on Insta too.

Safiyah Nguyen: this is what my hair looks like! finally someone with this pattern! ayy

Anna: My problem is that, having veeeery long hair (up to the butt), I need to brush them in the morning and right before bed, or they'll do knots. That way my waves get destroyed what can I do?

Aylani Lopez: I have 2c to 3a hair but my hair is pretty thin and my curls only start like 3inches from the roots which causes my hair to lack volume and then I used to use Cantu cream without knowing that it was too thick so now I just use Marc Anthony Curl Envy Curl Cream and it’s amazingggggg and I feel like it’s perfect for both waves and curls bc it’s really milky instead of a thick yk like cream

Lucia Zuniga: Yes! A video for wavy hair and I love it , I have wavy , lot of hair and so happy wit it but I don’t know the right steps for taking care of , Thank you so much ☀️❤️

Valérie Morin: I am hypnotized by how gorgeous this hairbstyle is. You look fabulous!

galat1a: I have thick hair, I have followed most of the tips you mentioned (for years now) and I cannot get rid of the frizziness from the top of my hair... I dont know why the bottom layers have no frizziness and the top ones look like crazy. Whatever I do/use it doesnt help :((((

ZZ Crowe: Would love to see a makeup tutorial on your look in this video.

Maja Filipovic: i think i have pretty similar hair to yours (or at least how i want my hair to get) and i'd love if you made a video about your favourite products that would be so helpful!

Parvati Nair: Hey Tabitha, I feel I have the same hair as you but when I brush my hair wet, it starts breaking a LOT and when i do it just before showering, it isn't as much? Is there a reason for this? Should I keep trying wet brushing?

Eugenia Sosa: I will say, for me scrunching does NOT work because it creates a lot of flyaways. I have to rake it through and brush it to get everything to clump first. Some of you might have the same problem and raking could fix it.

Chezamoonangel AiEmma: I love your video, I agree I always use neem oil to detangle l. I detangle first with fingers then wide tooth comb then brush before shampoo. I am Nicaraguan Haitian American mix with black ethnic wavy/cruly 23 inch hair. I am in a hair growth and weight loss journey. Thank you so much for your tips. Not a lot of wavy hair videos so this was good. New subscriber

Charys Russell: My hair looks almost exactly like yours when my gel cast is dry - but when I scrunch it out the waves start falling out, and when I refresh my hair it only lasts for about an hour. How do you get waves to last?

Anj Quilinderino: I need to comeback here to thank you eversince I follow your routine I have been getting complements from friends

CD Moon: I could never get around the idea of not combing my waves after washing my hair. Itll be all tangled when it dries.

Shorouq Abdelhaleem: You’re so beautiful and your hair is so lovely <33 I have short wavy hair and I hope after I take care of it for a while it’d have the same definition as yours <3

DMAC Blueairwater: Hi Tabitha. Can you please tell me where the definitions for the different curl numbers and letters come from? Thanks! And btw your hair is gorgeous, as are you! Enjoy it! Thanks for these videos!

Becky Morrow: I have your hair type, which I think is ideal. I can wear it straight or wavy depending on the way I style it. My hair is longer right now, but I have had it shorter in the past.

Guadalupe Cristina: Question. The following day when your hair Is a bit messy, how do u acomodate it or brush it to make it look nice? Thank you

Camryn grace: My waves only last for a little bit after a shower and then when they dry it becomes not as curly. Also if my waves are good when I go to bed when I wake up it is not as wavy and my hair just is not a firings when it is dry. Any tips??

litkate: Great video, there should be a wavey hair method for us wavey gals

Emma Liz: Love your hair! I have wavy hair just like you, but it’s long. I have an urge to cut it because it’s a lot more time consuming than shorter hair and is getting annoying. I’m just afraid I wouldn’t be able to get good volume because it’s more thin. Can you do a video on how to make your waves look voluminous please?

OutOfTheKlosset: Some great tips, thank youuuuuuuu! I love your haircut btw! I'm soooo jealous. Lol my hair is grown out and I wanna cry.

Angel: Honey, you surely don't have frizzy hair! I have wavy, frizzy and can be curly! My question is what do I do when I wake up with frizzy tangled hair? I wake up this way every day! Some hairdressers can do it curly and some can't! I surely can't. I have always straightened hair with hot iron of course. However, now I am wanting to wear my hair curly. Thanks for any help!
