Hey girlfriends, I'm Bianca, Rene and you're watching beyond grenade today and today I am partnering with uLTA Beauty. I am part of Ulta beauty's, meaning of beauty campaign, and, if you ask me, the meaning of beauty is rocking your natural curly hair. So what they have curly or wavy hair. It can still look beautiful without having to straighten it. It can be a little complicated, but that's why I'm here to help you out now when you go to Ulta. Obviously the possibilities are endless with products and services, but I'm going to help narrow down the best product to use on your curly hair. Now I recently went to the Ulta Salon. Yes, Ulta has a salon in the store. I didn't even know that you have to get past all the curly hair products and then past that there's a whole salon to get your hair cut colored. Whatever you want to do - and I just got these new fabulous bangs giving me way more volume, more shape and some more life to my curls. So, thank you also for this amazing haircut and today I'm going to give you the top 10 curly tips and tricks to make your curls look perfect, starting from the top. Let'S take a look at this hair yep, it's washed, as you can see you it's pretty frizzy, it's just out of control and curly hair can be really hard to detangle yeah, it's kind of sucks, but there is ways to make it a little bit easier and I'M gon na use the Vita Coco coconut oil. My tip number one is to pre-poo. I know it sounds kind of weird, but all that means is to do something before you. Shampoo, sometimes shampoo has some harsh cleaning agents that kind of strip the natural oils of her hair, but it's not adding some extra moisture like using coconut oil can help keep that moisture in your hair and this stuff is like the most amazing detangler ever. You actually could just do this on your dry hair, we're gon na part your hair in sections. Let'S just start with this little front piece right here, so I'm gon na grab a good amount, don't be stingy, it's just coconut oil pretty affordable and I'm just going to look at that easy detangle the side not so much this side, just glides through so you're Gon na continue this throughout your whole, so now I'll completely detangled everything is so much easier to work with. Now you can get in the shower and rinse it out or you can leave it on for about 20 minutes and make it more of like a hair mask, but coconut oil is going to give you hear so much more moisture and shine. Now I'm going to rinse this out or we're gon na move on to shampoo, now that I've washed out all of the coconut oil it's time to cleanse. So my tip number two is to always use a sulfate-free shampoo. One of my favourite shampoos to use is by Shea Moisture. This is a Jamaican black, castor oil, strengthen and restore shampoo, and I love it because it has apple, cider, vinegar, apple, cider, vinegar is another thing, that's great to help with your scalp, so it's not itchy or dry, and it just works so well now, usually I Wash my hair in the shower without clothes, I know I'm a wild one, but today I'm gon na show you right here right now. When applying the shampoo, you really want to focus on your scalp, giving you a nice scalp massage. This is going to help stimulate hair growth, and it's also going to get rid of any product build-up that might have been building up throughout the week. Now that my scalp is feeling nice and clean, let's rinse this out with cool water tip number three is to use a silicone, free, conditioner or deep conditioner. So this is the not your mother's matcha, green tea and apple blossom. Nutrient rich butter mask now with the mask it can either replace your conditioner or you could use it up to your condition. If you need some extra moisture today, I'm going to be using this instead of a normal conditioner. I love this one because it smells so amazing, so I'm literally getting a lot and we're just going to drench our curls in this mask. So once your hair is soaked literally soaked in your mask you're, just gon na put this up and away and let it sit for 20 minutes now that my hair is clean, de-tangled and conditioned it's time to dry it and style. So my tip number four is to never use a cotton towel on those curls. You want to get a microfiber towel like this one right here so I'll, be using the diva curl diva towel anti frizz microfiber towel, because this is way more gentle on our hair and it won't create any frizz. While you try. My tip number five is to have an amazing styler. Your styler can make or break you having a good hair day. So I like to grab my diva curl art angel gel, the diva curl gel is also silicone. Free and you're gon na apply that much rub. It together and smooth it on to your curls. You can do this in smaller sections, but I'm kind of lazy, so I just do to break it through your hair and scrunch scrunch that curl definition. Now, since I now got bangs from going to the Ulta beauty salon, I have to apply a little bit more lovin to my front area now, so I'm gon na pull my bangs forward. Believe it or not, these are my bangs, and that is why it is so important to get a curly hair cut cut your hair while it's curly, because your bangs are actually this long, but at the uLTA Beauty Salons. They knew that at this point you can just let your curls air dry or you can use a diffuser, but my tip number six is: don't use a diffuser right away, let your curls air dry to about 85 % and then diffuse, so I'll be back when My curls are a little bit more dry and we're back now. My hair is about 85 % dry. As you can see, the curls are already looking very defined, but you might feel a little bit of a crunch just that cast, but don't worry, that's actually what we want. So, in order to get rid of the cast, which is my tip number 7 - just use your hands and scrunch out that cast that will leave your curls feeling soft and defined, and if you want a little bit more volume, you also can use the one and Only diva dryer and diva fuser. This right here is gon na, be your best friend. So this is diva curls, diva dryer and no does not look like your average dryer has this little hand or claw on here and that's because your clothes are gon na. Look. So good you're gon na want to get a little high five at the end of it. Okay, no, not really! But what this does? It actually gets right under your curls, and that is going to just have a nice easy airflow. So it's not blowing too much air on your hair, creating frizz! So I'm gon na put this on a medium fan, speed on medium heat and it's best to diffuse upside down and just keep flipping your hair from side to side. Now we're talking all right so now your hair should be completely dry and we already got some volume going on and now my curls are so soft, definitely not crunchy or hard at all. So that's why we have our diffuser in our hands to scratch. So now I want to get some extra volume using my Dian lift Co, and this actually is infused with almond and avocado. Oil oils are great for curly hair so that it doesn't get dry and the fact that it's infused than this pick has me really excited. So, let's make this even bigger, I like to go underneath to the roots and lift gon na lift this up, try not to disturb our outer visual curls, but just raise the roots. So this is my tip number eight to get more volume now, I'm gon na go back in with my fingers, go to the roots and shake it out, shake and lift and tip number nine is how to maintain your curls throughout the week. So it's really important to put your hair up in a pineapple pineapple is a curly hairstyle. That literally saves all curly girls, whether they're going to the gym or going to sleep, and I put my hair in a pineapple. I'M gon na be using this satin scrunchie by kitc Pro and to put you're in a pineapple. You just take all of your curls. Take it to the very front of your head, wrap it around once and there's your pineapple. Not only is it a cute hairstyle, this is going to protect your curls while you're sleep, because all of your curls are up and away and they're not gon na get any frizz while you're rolling around on that pillow and then in the morning you just take It out and all your curls fall right back into place and my final tip number 10 is don't wash your curls every day. One of the cool things about curly hair is that our curls actually get better throughout the week. So by day, two three four five. Sometimes even six, seven, your curls is going to look even bigger and better, and in order to do that, you can just refresh your curls using these same products and some water spritz, some water, a little bit more product defuse and you'll be good to go. So those are my top ten tips for curly hair. Thank you again to uLTA Beauty for partnering with me and you guys better rock those curls because look how beautiful they are. That is the true meaning of beauty. I'Ll see you guys next time, thanks for watching Bianca Rene today,

JoJo: Great video. Yesterday I did the coconut treatment on my hair that I saw from one of your other videos. I noticed the difference on my hair. I wish we had all this information about curly hair back then as we do now. Your videos and others that I have watched have educated me so much on curly hair. Thank you so much for doing these videos.

Kristin S: Hey Girl, this video came at the perfect time. I send this to every new member of the sulfate free curly girl community. I just had a girl under my scissors that needed exactly this routine. Many girls I know do not know how to handle their curls. The technique to rake in product and scrunnch the curls back is as new as the products. Thank you very much for this video

Not sure what else to do but I hope what I have learned from your videos will bring some life back to my curls.

S Lopez: Ulta must have just started doing curly hair cuts because I had been going for years to ultra salon- where they would color my hair, cut my hair wet, and blow dry straight. I stopped going this year -toward the end of January- - when I began my transition to natural curly hair. It's good to know and I hope I find a curly friendly hairdresser/barber in Ulta. Thanks for the info it was helpful.

M M M: Saw your add with Ulta! Congrats, you're rocking it girl

gelasjams: I actually found a dupe diffuser for the deva dryer. It doesn't fit properly so you have to hold it on with tape, but for $10 It's totally worth it. Check on amazon.

Lauren Bennett: Would you ever review LUSH for curly girl approved products? I know they have a lot of eco-friendly, super natural alternatives for hair care, I just wonder which products would work for curly and wavy hair. It'd be really cool to see.

Ex WoW Gamer Girl: I got my hair worked on by a "curly professional" in 10/16/2017 they messed up my hair so bad from almost a year later still trying to recover. I have forgiven the hair stylist, but I would beware for people with curly to go to ULTA.

U Iriamuzu: My wallet hurts watching this. You, yes you curl friend reading this. You do not need expensive products for your hair. Let's face it, natural hair products are expensive and you run out of them hopefully a month and a half in. $40 something dollars for a conditioner and stuff, as much as I would like to try divacurl products, I can use that money somewhere else and I can get just as good results from lines like shea moisture and my taliah wwajid curl cream . Also, you don't need a name brand microfiber towel. I have a microfiber turban from target and it also came with a 2 in 1 shower cap. Love her videos but don't get discourage curl friends

tha Avi: I literally bought coconut oil right after watching this video ❤️❤️

Stela really: I don't have curly hair but I still like watching you ! I just love your personality. But my sister and mom do both have curly hair.

Little Miss Squirrel: you need to check out Giovanni Direct Leave-In Weightless Moisture Conditioner . I have 3B curls and this is the product that actually finally released my curls. The texture is interesting but it really works. 1st time i used it i didn't think much of it but then the next times i realised how beautiful it is. It's available on iherb so it's available worldwide which is a great thing as most of the stuff you have on your channel is kinda hard (expensive) to get when out of US. Especially in Korea :'(.

Ella G: Make this a weekly series!!!!

1FrolishiousBaby: I had no idea Not Your Mother's had curly girl approved products. I'll have to keep an eye out for that mask. Also, I am loving this background #snapfam #curlygirl

Victoria Mensah: Been looking for some new products and Ulta isn’t too far away ❤️❤️

Faith Valdez: I've been washing your videos for a while now and I really need some advice on how to protect my curls/hair from getting so dry from going to the pool. I do deep condition once a week and I wash my hair no more than twice a week. my wash days are usually mondays and fridays.

Harini Ogoti: I saw you in the Ulta flier thingy that I get in the mail and I was so excited! I squealed and my mom was like "What is wrong with you?" XD

Luz Vergara: Curly hair girl needs help after a bleach ! I’m a new subscriber ❤️ great video

sc p: I know you don’t like to use a leave in but I think it is essential for kinky curls especially with fall/winter coming up

Chyrrell Weekes: Congrats on the partnership with Ulta. You deserve it! Also, I DM you in Instagram but you never responded. Can you please, please tell me the shoe brand you posted to your stories a few weeks ago? You showed a few shoes that I fell in love and lust with, but I can't remember the brand. One was a pump with a bow on top. Thanks in advance.

Shortly after a beautician requested that I leave my hair to science in my will, I was put on a "No Wash" list and issued a restraining order permanently banning me from any salon in the world. But I'm happy to report that I've had decent luck with no-lye texturizing kits -- though I have to follow the instructions for virgin hair EACH time -- and I do deep condition with a cholesterol/olive oil cream and two shower caps.

Indy Nadeau: O just love this video, congratulations girl. I am already subscribed
