Hello, everyone and welcome to today's video, kindly sponsored by function of beauty i'll be getting into that later, but this video overall as a whole. It'S not that i never thought i would ever film this video in my lifetime here on youtube, i mean hey anything is possible, it's just that. I never knew that it would ever be requested of me, and it just brings my heart so much joy that you guys think my hair looks nice, especially lately i mean i just my lifetime. Hair journey has been a lot. You know it's been a lot of struggling back and forth as a little kid. I had straight hair for sure, but then, when the curls finally happened, i did embrace that, but then in high school you know the cool thing to do was straighten your hair. So i was always battling between my natural hair texture and trying to keep it straight, but just overall ending up being a bit all over the place. You know i've had it quite short quite long and i just have never been in an ultra super duper. Happy place with my hair until recently, i have certainly in the past few years struggled the most, i think, with my hair, purely because of female pattern, baldness thinning. All of that that's been a struggle, but i've certainly changed up my hair routine in this past year, and i do think it has made a huge difference and it's something that you guys are noticing too and, as i said just like, seeing you guys as compliments On my videos about my hair, it's just it's so nice to get a compliment on something that you really have never been complimented on in your lifetime. 30 years later, it's finally happening and it just it feels nice. So i am going to share kind of my experience with the curly girl method and also my non-usual of the curly girl method, but also my take on the curly girl method, because hey isn't that a great title to a video i'll come up with something better. But essentially, i had found out about the curly girl method years ago, and it was mainly, i think, through my friend veronica, because she has gorgeous ringlet curls and she was going on a curly girl method journey and also, i feel like some of you all had Recommended it to me - and you know i - i never really felt super comfortable with it, because, even though they say the curly girl method is for everyone, i feel like the main portion of the curly girl method is meant for people with very tight curls and very Thick hair, and neither of those things are me, i do have ringlet curls, but i also have waves. You know my texture is kind of all over the place and, as i said, i have very thin and fine hair. So a lot of the things in the curly girl method like wearing your hair up in a silk scarf and in a bun and using all sorts of oils and potions and lotions and not washing your hair for weeks on end - and you know i don't know The exact details, okay, but a lot of that stuff just isn't suited for my hair. It'S just not i've kind of through trial and error stumbled upon my own curly girl method and a lot of it just has to do with the products that i use and when i use them, and i guess how i use them so to start off, we've Got function of beauty, we've got shampoo and conditioner. This is a brand that i've wanted to try out for the longest time and i've been using it this past month and i'm kind of kicking myself for not trying it sooner. But you know it's a new year. New you all that stuff, so to kick off my new year, i decided to start trying a new, shampoo and conditioner, which is where function of beauty comes in. Essentially, they are a custom hair care company that is vegan and cruelty, free, which is amazing, and, as i said, it is ultra customizable to your hair type. It is why, on the bottles, you get to say your name, your nickname, whatever to get printed on there. So my stuff says function of cassie, which i think is so cool, so they've got a whole quiz that you take where you are able to tell function of beauty, your hair profile. So, for me, i've got curly, fine and oily hair and then your goals for what you want, your shampoo and conditioner to do for your hair, because shampoo and conditioner is there to help you. I wanted curl definition, a deep conditioning for my curls oil control. Replenish. My hair and also a volumize and then the fragrance i partially picked it because it's an amazing pun, but also because i love pear sense. So i picked perfection for my scent and you get to choose whether you want it to be light, medium or strong in scent, which i think is really cool for people who are more sensitive or not to perfumes in their products. So i just picked medium to give it a try, see how it is, and, oh my gosh, you guys it's so good if you like, pear scents. This is for you it's seriously so delicious and intoxicating an absolute delight. Oh and you do get to pick out the color of your shampoo and conditioner, so for my shampoo, i kept it non-dyed and then for my conditioner. I made it lavender. I just i thought it was nice to you know differentiate between them in the shower. When i don't have my glasses on - and so i can't see from far away - which one is the shampoo and conditioner but function of beauty is also always coming out with new scents and colors. So there will always be something a little different. You get stickers that you can decorate your bottles with and really like, i said, not only is the product inside of the bottles customizable to you, but really the outside is too, with your name and the stickers and stuff. So i've been using that shampoo and conditioner and i have definitely noticed a difference in the curl definition of my hair. I just think it looks real nice. I'Ve noticed my curls have just looked a lot bouncier since i started using the shampoo and conditioner. So those have been an absolute treat plus having my hair smell delicious, i mean, is never a complaint for me. So that is that and if you would like to get 20 off of your first set of function of beauty, click, the link in the description below start off with shampoo and conditioner, get your hair cleaned. And then i'm going to go into some clips here. Where i show you exactly the other products that i use and how i use them on first, a and second day, hair alrighty, so out of the shower here is what my hair looks like. I do not you know. I learned this a long time ago, but it's something that if you don't know you should know, but i think most people know, but just in case just in case you don't want to, especially if you have curly hair, you don't want to rub your hair dry. You just want to gently pat it and that's it. So that's all i do then, for fresh out of the shower hair. These are my current products of choice. I am, or i have been trying out rogaine for women, so i just i don't know how far i am on the can, but this is my first month of trying it. I think i've been using it for about a month now, but i just spritz it along my part line because that's where most of my hair losses and then i rub it in there make sure it gets on my scalp, easy peasy. It doesn't leave any kind of a film or stickiness or anything, and then i go in with some kind of a leave-in conditioner detangler. This is the not your mother's tahitian, gardenia flower and mango butter, curl defining detangler and since most of my tangles happen on the scalp area, i guess i think, maybe i don't know i spritz this around my scalp. You saw maybe five six spritzes and then i use my wet brush and just comb that through absolutely no tangles, i mean i really don't tangle up my hair in the shower too much and i do get the tangles out with you know my conditioner, when i'm Working that in so i usually don't have problems with tangles, but just in case - and i do like having you know a little bit of a leave-in conditioner and then my favorite hair gel. Is this aussie instant, freeze, gel 20 hour max hold with australian jojoba oil and sea kelp? I you know, depending on how long my hair is at the time right now. I use about that much it's an estimate. Some days, i estimate better than others, but what can you do so? I just rub that all over my hands and then i just kind of pat it along the top of my hair. I really reserve the most of it in my palms to use on the ends of my hair. I just really squeeze that in there and then i just use a fine-tooth comb and i part my hair about where i want it, and then i just brush the product through. I know i know, according to the curly girl method, you're not supposed to brush your hair period but uh. Let me tell you: some of us have needs, and one of those needs is to brush our hair, because if i just let my hair dry normally it looks not great i'll i'll put it. That way, i'm trying to be nicer to myself. You know, but that being said, it doesn't look great so now to really work that gel and everything in i just go through, and i scrunch a bunch, my hair, some people when you have thick luxurious hair, unlike mine, you know you could section it out, make Defined curls, that sort of a thing, but i have approximately not a lot of hair. So, like me, just scrunching like this: it's okay and i still get nice little little curls there and, as i said, just doing it on both sides, kind of juicing up at my roots, to kind of make my hair a little bit more voluminous at the scalp. You know just so that the gel doesn't make my hair completely stick to my head. I just scrunch this until it looks like i have curls going and then that's it i mean i really don't like. I said i'm not looking for perfection or anything here, but just a nice little scrunching and another thing. I know a lot of people that do the curly girl method swear. You need to blow dry your hair with a diffuser on the first day to really get those defined, curls and listen. You can i just personally try to use as little heat on my hair as possible. I rarely ever use any. I think the only time i use heat on my hair is when i'm at the hair salon - and i get my hair cut - maybe once or twice a year and they blow dry, my hair for me but um. Otherwise i am an air dryer all the way. I just feel like a it's better for my hair and b, i feel like i get good curls with an air dry. So that's what i do and you know as it's drying all every now and then give it a scrunch to encourage the curl a little bit more. But for now this is what it is and now about an hour later, we have the final result. Well kind of i know a lot of people say to not brush out your curls, but that's just how i personally like mine to look, i feel like it gives that semi old hollywood glam type of a wave look to it. I mean really it's all about how you like your hair, to look in the long run. I like it to look fluffy, and i also since this is where my baldness is. I just like to make sure i comb that out so that it doesn't have any gel or anything that's making it clump together and making my scalp any more noticeable. But that really is it if any of the curls didn't curl in a way that i wanted them to. I just go ahead and get my hand wet with some water and i'll run that through real quick and then try and rework the curl, try and re-scrunch it if it needs a little extra tlc and now you can swirl it up. But overall i just try to remind myself that curls are not meant to all be uniform and perfect. You know it is what it is. Sometimes you'll have a straight bit hanging down that's kind of annoying, but at the same time i just don't find that it's too worth fussing about. Let'S see that's a more pleasant curl in my eyes than what had originally constructed or came out to be, and that's that that is my hair. For my day, one washed look to it doesn't end up feeling crunchy. It doesn't end up feeling sticky, like a lot of different products, will make your hair feel the function of beauty, shampoo and conditioner really just make my hair feel nice and clean. It still feels soft, but not in that artificial way. It just feels really lovely. You know - and i don't over - do the product, because you know in terms of gel and stuff, because my hair is so thin and fine, so just a light amount of it really does work quite nicely, and it will also help on day two. For when i revive my curls and can wear them on day two, so that's about it for now i'll see y'all when i see y'all next yes good morning for those lucky souls who don't wake up to cat butt in their face, you may have the privilege Of waking up looking like a goddess well, i am not one of said morning goddesses, but fret not and rejoice, because we had product in our hair left over from our wash day so for day. Two. We can revive this. We can make this into something better. With two miracle products, one of which will cost you nothing it's water, it's spray bottle! You don't need the spray bottle. I just think it makes life easier and then the aussie miracle curls curl refresher. If you can find this consider yourself blessed, but all i do get this hair, nice and wet, which hey this is one of the times where, if you have thin and fine hair, you can rejoice, because it won't take that long for your hair to dry, because You won't have to get it too, too, wet, or at least not as wet as those with super thick hair. We'Ll probably need to do. I used to be one of those people that would uh sleep with their hair up in a bun, because what is it called bantu knot, bantu curls. All of that i mean, if you have the hair to do it great, but i have found that sleeping with my hair up actually causes a lot of breakage and damage from hugging. You know, depending on how your head ends up, laying and how your hair ends up. You know it ends up tugging against the elastic and whatnot. So if you don't have much hair to lose, i wouldn't suggest risking it. But you know: if you want to live on the wild side, you do you, it does work for overnight curls. I just personally can't do it anymore. So, thank goodness we have refresh days so once the hair is nice and wet. I go ahead and i spritz in i don't know, however much i feel like some days. Maybe it's only five or six sprays some days. It'S like, however many i just did we don't keep score in this household, so go ahead, make sure you get water water everywhere, any chunks you might have missed just go ahead and use that tap water judge it in there and then once again pick your part And brush it through go ahead and scrunch those curls real good and with the power of time and editing there, we have it my second day. Curls are always better. I don't know the exact science behind it, but i mean better. It'S that's all subjective, but you know more ringletty. The spritzing of water helps to reactivate the gel that we had put in on day one hair, but my hair still feels nice and soft. I don't feel oily yet on my scalp, which is great. I do believe it has to do with the shampoo and conditioner being targeted for my oily scalp oily hair, because that's what i told them i wanted with some oil control or some help with oils, because my hair doesn't get very greasy very quickly. I'M just an oily skinned person in general, but then add that to thin and fine hair it just makes it look like i'm, probably even more oily than i already am. You can my other fine haired beauties out there understand, but yeah. What you decide to do with said. Curls is totally up to you. Some people would leave, as is i personally do some like jujin because, like i said, i have very thin and fine hair, and so my scalp will show through otherwise, but you know this is this. Is it, and that is that, my friends, i mean it's one of those things where i could go a third day and just use some dry shampoo in my hair, throw it up in a bun that sort of a thing or if i need to be somewhere And i want to wear my hair down and having it look nice and lush. Whatever the case is you know, i don't mind shampooing and conditioning my hair every couple of days. I know some people say for curls. That is a no-no, but i've just come to find when it comes to curly hair. Everyone is so individualized and different that if something in a certain method that says it's targeted to your hair doesn't work for you don't feel bad about it. You know just keep on trying out different products and methods. It certainly took me a long time to find, like my perfect routine, for my hair, i think things are always changing and evolving on our bodies and just the product market and everything. But i personally love the products that i'm using right now and have been using for months now. I highly recommend function of beauty to my family and friends, not only you know to get them online, but they're, even at target now, which is super exciting. So if you want to go in store to get it or to check them out, that is also an option, but you know i would personally recommend doing it online, because if you use my link below you get 20 off of your first set, so i mean Why not do that, so there we go. saffron fields: My MIL has PCOS and suffers from extremely fine, thinning hair with female balding but she has stick straight hair. Her experiences have been an absolute eye opener for me: she has really struggled emotionally and with products that don’t deliver. I’m sharing only to say there are other women familiar with your journey and we are a tribe! Keep sharing, it empowers others to not feel alone.

bmw8913: Just spreading information- I’m NOT saying you need it, I’m NOT suggesting you should be embarrassed or self conscience about it- I’m just passing along information I recently learned because I’m a huge Christina Hendricks fan. If you feel like experimenting, there are some BEAUTIFUL hair pieces and wiglets for women. Christina Hendricks has super thin fine hair, and she ALWAYS uses them. I swear they look FANTASTIC. I didn’t even know she wears them! I’m NOT saying you need it. But I think it would make for a fun video seeing Cassie living on the wild side lol

Steffi P: Try flipping your head upside down and scrunch and you will get more volume on top. The brushing out flattens it. You can brush it and then flip it upside down. I never use heat, always air dry. Brushing and combing once dry is a no no for curl pattern and adds frizz. Obviously you do you, just some curly suggestions. I have loose waves but only brush before washing.

adalia ortiz: I also have thinning hair on my part and my aunt also deals with this. For Christmas she bought me a hair makeup palette that is honestly really cool. It’s basically like brown eyeshadow that I just dust lightly around my part to give the illusion of more hair without much fuss. Thanks for discussing hair loss!

Rebecca Romine: Tip for fine curly hair: it’s important we moisturize our hair with deep conditioning, but try using it prior to shampoo and conditioner. This way you get the benefits from the deep conditioner without the weight.

Annaliese Taylor: I have androgenic alopecia and my hair is almost identical to yours at the scalp. I've been using the L'Oréal magic retouch spray on my "patches" and it has been a game changer! I can't live without it now.

emma8547: Your hair looks great! The only change I would try is to part your hair on the opposite side when it's wet and then, once its dry, flip the parting to your prefered side. It might make it look even fuller on top.

Caitlin Elisabeth: Even with a coupon code function of beauty is way too pricey for shampoo and conditioner

Jenna Chiddy: Loved the new topic! I think you should wear your curls without brushing them out sometimes for a different look.

Bren Deary: I use a hair pick or wide tooth comb to get out the tangles. A brush breaks up the curl pattern that's why they tell you not to use it and it's what causes frizz. Also if you get any new growth with the Rogaine that hair will become minoxidil dependent. So you will have to keep using the product. Otherwise you will lose the new growth. :(

M C: I personally loved your hair after you refreshed the curl. I think it looked good before being brushed out. If anything I think just brushing through with your fingers could be a good in between

Whimsy & Cheer: Dealing with thinning right now. Haven’t pinpointed why yet. But just knowing there’s others out there helps! Also love this soft makeup look on you!!

Nagmerrie: You aren't alone Cassie. I have exactly the same hair than you ..though my hairloss and balding is a little worse than yours ! It's devastating ..and it all comes down to covering up and making the best of it.

Emma Saucier: Your hair looks great! I love how fluffy and soft it looks :) you're beautiful! As always, love your new content. Loved the old content too but change is always nice. Especially since you're still being yourself but just trying out new ideas :) stay well

jesskathan: I'm sure you've looked into this before, but I experienced hair loss from anemia. (I was a vegetarian at the time). I'm not suggesting you stop being a vegetarian, but you may want to get your iron levels tested. Just a thought! Thanks for sharing your routine. My best hair tip for curly hair--don't brush it unless you hair is wet. :) Always enjoy your videos!

Princessdreyaa: First thing is always apply product to your ENDS!!!! Getting oil and all that extra heavy stuff will cause build up and create an oily appearance. That could also be why your shedding more. Proper hair maintenance is like skincare not like clothing or makeup!!

Tasha Lafortune: Be careful with the pH of the products you're using in your hair. A pH that is too high can cause brittle hair and perpetuate hairloss. An ideal pH is 4-5. Most shampoos have a a pH that is wayyyy too high. Test the pH and change your products if they don't fall in the ideal pH range. Also, a carbon filter for your shower helps a lot. - from one *recovered* fine hair girl with hairloss to another

Heather McD: I LOVE how honest you are about things about you. Waking up to cat butt in your face is a problem for me too lol. My furby likes to pat me gently on my eyelids cos she has worked out that’s the quickest way to wake me up. The feeling of claws on my delicate eyelids is better than any alarm clock.

ke. m: Pro tip- you can use eyeshadow on scalp or hairline in the spots where your hair is thinning.

piptig: Your hair looks beautiful Cassie :) I brush out my wavy/curly hair too! I don't mind losing definition and prefer the easy going look it gives to my hair. The cgm is a good starting point but the rules aren't set in stone. Everybody's hair is unique and not everyone wants the same look. It's important to pick and choose the things that work for you and to just have fun with it!

ale: Have you tried adding the products to SOAKING wet hair? Like before you even grab a towel? You’ll end up scrunching out most of the excess product but the water traps in water like a humectant. My hair is fineeeeee af and I have several patterns. The detangler is adding weight to your roots. I would say your hair needs a water based/airy foam, followed by a small amount of gel. Don’t “fluff” your roots until it’s 100% dried; my roots are flat too but I sweaaaar, just wait until it’s dry THEN juzzzz it up lol.

Dani Hyde: Have you looked into the “Wavy Girl Method”? It’s based off the curly girl method but recognizes the fact that there are different needs. I’ve learned heaps especially from a dedicated Facebook group.

McF Iggy: Have you ever thought of clipping your hair at the roots while it dries?I heard that it really helps with volume;)

Kari Cummings: I love your hair, Cas! It's gorgeous! I'm a huge fan of the wave from day one personally but I am that unique weirdo who prefers the big poofy hair vs the slick ringlet curls. Love it!

catlover1965: I can't tell you how happy I am for you. I have been bald from chemotherapy AND have had alopecia off and on for years. My hair is thin and the emotional struggle is REAL. I can definitely see a difference in your hair and I KNOW what a good hair day *a day with hair) means. Good for you.

solidandsoiled: Hi Cassie! I have very similar hair situation to yours and I have been using this Thai hair lotion called Neo Hair Lotion and it has helped to regrow hair on me! Not sure if you'd be open to trying but do be careful of fakes if you try to buy it.

elines acevedo: Have you ever gone to a medical professional to figure out why you have thinning and hair loss? You might have an underlying condition you should be taking care of. My hair loss and thinning is due to autoimmune thyroid issues. I'm just lucky I started off with so much puffy hair, that at the beginning, I was relieved to have less hair cause it dried in less time and easier to style and manage. Now I'm scared cause I don't want to lose anymore! Please stop falling

Katiebug: A few tips. Brush your hair and part it before u add gel so u aren't wasting product. If it has already started drying spritz with water and don't brush your hair after u put gel in it and pull the little hairs around your face so they are straighter. Also it's probably not good for your hair brushing it when it's wet all the time.

Alexandra M: Cassie there is so much more ou can be doing to make your hair appear full and lush, you are seriously missing out!! You might not have a lot of hair but you have enough to really work it so it kills me that you aren’t taking advantage of that

Kelly McFarland: You are the first person I've ever seen that had hair nearly exactly like mine! It has been such a difficult journey to manage the thin, fine AND curly. None of the curly methods really work because of the fine thin part. I'm so glad I stumbled over your video! Thanks so much for doing it!

Jackie M: Thank you Cassie for sharing your hair routine with us ❤️❤️❤️

Louise Hill: This is the video I've been looking for ❤ I also have thin, fine, curly hair. I also suffer from female pattern baldness :( so super helpful video! ❤ Thank you xxx

Naomi Coles: Omg someone that has hair like me thank you for this, I have male pattern baldness (gutted because I'm female) so my hair is very fine (thinner than yours) and blonde, I'm currently trying the curly girl method but I've had to adapt it because straight away I realised it was not going to work so thank you so much for understanding what we go through and making me feel like I'm not alone xx

Alissa Ruiz: This is a great routine. Thanks for sharing. Also, I loved your day 2 hair before you did anything to it but it looked great afterwards too

Tea for two: Hairdresser here. Yes! Comb your hair! Haha... a coworker who has curls used a damp t shirt to scrunch the hair and allowed to air dry. Helps with frizz. Also... if you struggle with oil try not putting the leave in at the scalp.

Mrs Phil M.: Mane 'n tail detangler helps my hair so much. I’ve had stylists make fun of me for using it because it’s not a salon product, but it works so well for my hair type: thinning and straight. It detangles, and I feel like it makes my hair grow faster with less fall out. I’ve used it for the past 15 years or so. When I stop using it, within a few weeks / months, I always see a difference in my hair as it looks a lot thinner. I use Rogaine too. The combination really helps with maintaining hair growth and health.

BeautyWearsBoots: Cassie, you're kind of doing the curly girl method as "accurately" as most of the influencers. Only real difference is they mostly just "scrunch out the crunch" rather than brushing out their curls once dry. I really like swavy curly courtney, India batson, and curly Susie as creators with wavy/curly hair (Susie is also currently recovering from postpartum hair loss).

Jagen Phillips: Our hair journey has been about the same. I have been waiting ching you for years and I can tell you're newer routine has helped. They look great! Not all curls are the same, even on the same head

Krista S.: You are so right about each curly girl being different and having different needs and methods. I have found that wearing a satin bonnet while sleeping really helps with breakage, and also helps better preserve your curls for second day hair. If you prefer your more defined second day curls, don't brush your hair once the product is applied and your hair is dry on wash day. Instead, try hand scrunching your dried curls. You look lovely!

Cassie O: Love this!! Yes!! Your hair and skin has been looking fantastic lately!! I'm dealing with FPB and thinning right now. Big time.

stillglowx: your waves look so so soft here! i have 3a/b curls and cg used to work great for me (over the last 10 years - started when i was about 14!) but over the last couple of years has just changed and now i do better with a sulfate. curls n waves are so changeable!

Ashley J Kelly: Jaime French changed my life when she used the root touch up spray to cover a bald spot... I'm so much more confident after using that! I recommend giving that a try if you're interested!! Thanks for this video Cassie!

Mia: It's cool to see how people have a unique routine. I've been using Marc Anthony curl cream for years. Only thing I don't like is that it has dimethicone but overall It leaves my hair curly compare to other products used in the past and its affordable!

Ashley : I just started loosely following the CGM and loving the results so far. I just did my first ever co-wash and my hair isn’t even oily and I have oily hair. Everyone is different, find what works for you

Kelly Tomlinson: I have 2a waves and there are some curly-girl techniques that I really like. The “squish to condish” works great to add moisture to my hair no matter how I plan to style it. I love loading my hair up with conditioner and brushing it out with a wide tooth comb. And lastly, I enjoy the bowl method for applying product. It literally helps you distribute product all through your hair and that is always useful. I have lots of hair (I’d give you some of mine if I could, Cassie!) but it’s also a pain in the ass because when I do style it the curly girl method; I end up getting frustrated that it looks like a freaking rats nest. It’s also on the fine to medium side so too much product weighs it down. So I’m really stuck in a catch 22 of hair issues I love the look when I round-brush it but I know it’s not good for my hair to do it all the time.

Vain Glory: Just want to say, your eyelashes are on point! So glad to see a beauty influencer whose looks work with glasses!

CAROL ROE: Wow! Your lashes in this video look amazing! I also suffer from FPB and thinning hair unfortunately. It's a hard journey.

Bodacious Panda: Agreed. Everyone loves their curls differently. Try the LuS 3 in 1. I like it as my wash day. Leaves it soft and i brush out sometimes too! You might like it!

Claudia: I would say you have wavy hair not curly. But styling it upside down would bring much more volume to the roots. Also “plopping” the hair in a T-shirt is another way to dry your hair and add volume without heat

Jenna Losch McCallister: CG does NOT work for me, but one takeaway was the not brushing or combing. I just use my fingers to separate it in the shower. Thanks for doing this Cassie!

Lorfelf 0823: The things that made a world of difference for my curly hair is: 1. Put the gel product in your hair while you are still in the shower and your hair is dripping wet. 2. Apply the gel while your head is upside down and use a Wet brush comb to distribute the product and get any tangles out. 3. With your head still flipped upside down, use a cotton T-shirt to "towel dry" your hair. This stopped my hair from being frizzy! 4. Part your hair and let it air dry! Hope this is able to help some of my fellow curly girls!

Sarah: Diffuser 100% makes a huge difference for me but I only do it on cold when I have a special occasion

peaceful0732: I love using a root booster spray when my hair is damp. Then fluff up a little when it's dry. Maybe a wider tooth comb would work better than a paddle brush too. I would love to see how a curling iron would work in your hair.

Melissa Marcelloni: This caught my attention! I did curly girl for 2 years and for a while it was great and then suddenly my hair started falling out like crazy...I have no idea why. I gave up and put a kertain treatment in and it's come back thicker lol

Psychicdiva: I started using my Dyson hair dryer with the diffuser attachment - added in some moisture products - and a finishing curl gel by Dove of all ppl - and bam - my thin hair has great curls now! It takes time to train your curls. Do not touch it while drying - just flip your head upside down and diffuse away!

Rosalinda T: I don't use any gel on my hair, I use biotin spray and for my curls I use African pride moisture miracle curl cream it works great on curly hair! My hair has been thinning and this is what I use. It defines my curls wonderfully.

Krista: I initially started CGM then stopped because the lack of evidence for things just killed me! However, I do use some of it! Low heat, techniques, etc. I totally agree, we all have different hair! I didn’t realize I had so much wave since last year, it used to be quite straight!

Samantha friend: I love your hair it looks healthy and I can see the difference in the older videos to now it’s come so pretty and I am so happy for you

Michele Oakley: The CGM was a great starting place for information about products etc. I don’t follow it to the letter, too much time, too many steps. But using shampoo and conditioner without sulphates, silicone etc has mage a big difference as well as finding the right styling product, for me it’s using gel for cast then SOTC when it’s dry. I couldn’t go for long periods without washing ugh! I still was 2-3 times a week.

Meg: So hear me out... I used to have very thin hair. Lots of damage from years and years of chemical straightening and extensions ripping out my hair from the root. I had really damaged thin thin thin hair. I shaved my head... and started wearing wigs. When I tell you my hair has gotten thicker.. I mean it's gotten WAYYY thicker. It's worth a try....

Rebekah Booth: Your hair is beautiful! I have naturally pin straight hair and I’ve always wanted just natural curls like you ♥️ you look gorgeous!

Lucky9436: Fig waking you up like that is such a cat owner thing I don’t have curly hair but I also use the detangler you have, it definitely does work!:)

Brittany Nunley: Have you tried Loreal everstrong thickening with rosemary leaf shampoo and conditioner? It does help alot with my hair since my hair is thinning and this does works wonder but depends on different people hair. It can be found on Amazon, Walmart, target, etc. Thought I could help

Caity 1: Don’t even have curly hair and I love this video because I enjoy watching you! Can’t wait for the next upload! I love seeing you happy

Sara Torres: You should look into Opalex # 6 it will help with frizzy fir up to 3 days! It’s so good it’s been a game changer. I use it on my nephew hair that has natural curly hair and big difference.

Marlju Sweety: That Sailor Moon sweater! Also: Your routine works great! Im gonna look for that Aussie spray and try it myself. Fingers crossed it excists in Norway...

Jaimee K: Brad Mondo’s Wave Tech was a game changer for my curls. It smells amazing, it leaves my curls looking amazing, I absolutely love it.

melissa fisher: I have VERY similar hair to you THANK YOU so much for this video! I also use the same 2 aussie products and love them! But I've never tried gel yet, now I want to! I use a curl cream in place of the gel, either an aussue one or Garnier. It works very similarly with being sticky! Definitely recommend trying that too, I think you would like it! I also brush out my curls for volume, the frizz only last for like an hour then they just look fluffy and more volumous! I tried the Rogaine but always forgot and gave up, let us know if you keep it up, I'm interested to hear how it works for you! I've also heard to use men's instead bc its stronger?? But no idea anything about it. Your hair is looking beautiful! You are so bubbly and happy and confident and it shows! ♡♡♡

Maryam Zamanian: Function of beauty is now available at target, so it’s not just online anymore. I’m so excited to try it when my current shampoo and conditioner run out!

Misaki: I've been on the cgm for almost 4 years? And it has not made my hair the beautiful curly locks that others seem to achieve. I'm so jealous when I see posts of people saying "day 2 of cgm!" And their hair becomes ringlets and no frizz what am I doing wrong. I haven't given up only because I want what they have but it hasn't worked at all. Gonna try switching it up now. Also have you tried sleeping in a silk night cap? I think I want to buy one cause bun at night hurts my head a little even though it's super loose.

Laura: I have seen many info about function of beauty that got me very interested, just need to see if its available in Europe! Your hair looks very beautiful Cassie ❤️ i love your curls, i do have straight hair myself and my biggest issue issue with it is how fast it gets oily thanks for all those tips and sharing your experience, another great vídeo! ✌️

LinzBelle: I actually researched this because my hair is the same is yours. I find a mousse works the best rather than a bunch of stuff that weighs the hair down. I only use devacurl coconut curl cream on my front pieces that are IMPOSSIBLE to control.

Tammy Buckley: Hi Cassie. Same, same and same lol. I truly wish I had taken the chance and bought function of beauty long ago. I thought it was to pricey, but honestly it’s not, considering what the product does for my hair. It’s one of the very few conditioners that actually help remove the tangles from my fine, long, wavy, unruly hair. I too enjoy the pear scent and I too did shampoo in pink and conditioner in purple, just in case I couldn’t see without my glasses . More times than I’d like to admit, I’ve used conditioner first on accident. Not fun . Well, thank you for a few new ideas that I’m going to give a try. And I’d really love to know if you feel the woman’s rogaine (hope I spelled that close) helped you at all. I really do struggle with baby fine hair, that likes to fall out from stress . Have a great night ✌☕️

Amber Micael: Have you tried a vlog style video? Super curious to your lifestyle and day to day going ons :)

Christie_ InStitches: I have thick wavy hair with ringlets at the bottom ugh! if I use a blow-dryer my hair becomes a mess so bad that it takes me for ever to brush the tangles out. I usually put my hair up with a soft scrunchie to reduce breakage as well. Great vid BTW :)

Marianne Campos: I don’t have the same exact hair texture as yours but what I’ve researched is that less products is the way to go with hair loss and certain ingredients can be clogging to scalp and stifle hair growth. Also I noticed when I switched to mostly vegan diet my hair and nails weren’t so great bc loss some of the collagen from animal products. Just trying to be helpful! Enjoying all the newness

Nancy D: I have a similar hair journey as you too, I watched your nioxin shampoo review and it worked for my hair. Hair is so complicated!!! Lol

grinspoongirl: Loved seeing your hair routine. <3 I've been trying my hand at the cg method the last...five months? I was born with naturally curly hair (thanks to Welsh nanna and poppa) and straightened the heck out of it growing up too. I use three products now - John Frieda dream curls creme, Coles brand organic care hair gel and I 'scrunch out the crunch' with a bit of argan oil. I'm seeing some improvements in curl pattern but I know it takes time! <3

Nati Zamora: Are you still using the iRestore helmet? Thank youuuu.

kayteelizz: I would love to hear how the rogaine works for you. It is so hard to find honest people when it comes to trying hair loss products!

Ajocelynn🧿: You should try the pears soap for your brows!!!! I got mine at the dollar tree and I like it so far!!

Julie Hill: Your hair really does look beautiful. I love the Aussie products too they work best and oh the smell I love it! I really enjoyed this video thank you!

Jessie Borrell: Diffusing doesnt really do any heat damage cause it's indirect heat, you're not concentrating the air on your hair like when you're blowdrying it straight. You can also get a result like this by not combing it out when it's dry. Check out Swavy Courtney here on YouTube. She has loose wavy curls and it always looks shiny and fluffy after she's scrunched out the cast. Gena Marie is another good channel to look at. She has tighter curls than you but they're very fine and thin so some of her application techniques and so on might help you. Also, the CGM doesn't say you have to go long periods without washing your hair. It just is saying you should try and not wash your hair super often (which is true for most people not just curly-haired)

Little Duck: Hey! I would suggest you to watch Sarah Ingle's video on dry hair. She doesn't talk about dry hair only, but breakage in general and I think you'd find it useful

Cassidy stahl: You should try the Redavid curl cream! It’s life changing. The best curl cream I’ve ever tried!

Lainie Nicole: I have the same hair type. Curly/wavy, very fine and thin. Health problems have thinned it out a ton. Please update on Rogaine and maybe other kinds of hair growth things?

Grace: I have fine 2B/2C curly hair too, medium thickness. I tried the curly girl method last year, I found that my oily scalp wasn't getting cleansed enough with the combination of conditioner-only washing and sulfate-free shampoos. I remember having a higher amount of hair shedding during those months. I think co-washing and sulfate-free shampoo might work best for someone with a dry scalp. The few things I kept from the curly girl method are hair gel (my favorite is the LA Looks Sport hair gel), air-drying my hair after styling, and scrunching out the crunch once my hair dries. I was already using a microfiber hair towel before trying the curly girl method. Right now, I use Suave Coconut Shampoo and Conditioner, and it works really well for my fine curly hair!! I still need to wash every other day because of my oily scalp. I also use Tresemme Heat Tamer heat protectant since I flat-iron my bangs. I find that these products work really well for me, I have barely any hair shedding now, and my curls look great!!

rchiariello: My only suggestions would be to use a microfiber towel and apply the products upside down on SOAKING wet hair. I have learned so much from the channel Swavy Curly Courtney and my hair is getting better and better with each wash.

Joanna Miller: We are hair twins. I always laugh when people say to blow-dry, because it takes 20 minutes for me to air-dry to like 90%.

🖤 Danna 🖤: Girllllll, friend to friend, I wanted to tell you that I suspect you may have PCOS, like I do. It causes a million symptoms, but some of it is hair loss/thinning/male pattern baldness, weight gain, acne, etc. It's worth checking it out. I'm not diagnosing you, since I'm not a doctor. But, I'd be a major biotch if I didn't tell you to look into it. Sending you ❤️ from Seattle, WA.

lyss222: I very loosely follow the CGM. I also have thin, fine, wavy hair similar to yours. It took me almost a year of trial and error to find the products and version of the method that work for my hair. A lot of things are geared toward true curly hair and those products don't work for my hair type, they weigh it down. My routine is essentially using a lot of conditioner in the shower and combing it when it's wet, putting some light mousse on it, diffusing it till mostly dry (if I don't diffuse I have absolutely no volume) , scrunching it out once it's totally dry and never brushing it when it's dry, otherwise it just pooooofs But I went from basically HAVING to straighten it with a flat iron in order to style it to being able to just wear it naturally wavy and refreshing it for a few days. It's like totally different hair!

Paula Merino: Loved the video! I started the CGM and completly changed my hair, but I hace very thick curls so I ger what you say , it is not for everyone

Sabrina Hawk: Try a boar bristle brush for your final comb out, and a super wide tooth comb while it’s wet hair is super prone to breakage while wet

Passion for beauty: Idk if you will read this but it is recommended to change the part line of your hair as the hair gets used to it and it doesn't grow the same speed all the way so changing the part helps with the growth

Deanna Beasley: I'm a curly girl and I let my hair air dry. I pretty much do the same as you. Shampoo and conditioner. But instead of a gel. I use Eva NYC Rock a curl. And I comb through it after putting it in.. lol

KeepThe Trademark: Have you tried birth control for your thinning patches? I know for fpb related to conditions like pcos it can help

Marissa: Thank you! There is NEVER any good hair tutorial for fine hair like why must we suffer so! But I don’t have curly hair just pin straight and fine hair

Alicia Morris: I have thin, fine, curly hair too. I have pcos too. I don't like my hair either. We have similar hair Cassie. Same length and color too. My hair was beautiful when I was younger. I have never done curly girl method.

Homemaker Hobbit: My hair was all straight until about 2 years ago. I had a big fall out for about three months, then it grew back in curly and I haven't known how to work with it since, since it's half straight, half curly! Maybe this will be helpful. Thank you!

Olga Sebastian: Please be careful with Rogaine, it’s absolutely deadly to cats
