My name is Dana and I make curly hair videos to help embrace your natural curly or wavy texture. Here you'll find curly / wavy hair routines, product reviews, first impressions, lifestyle content, and more! I hope you stick around :)

Hey guys so today I am super excited to bring you this review. These products are super affordable, they are easily accessible and I have been really liking them lately. So today we are going to be talking about heritage by Mindy, McKnight water, just like that. For those of you who don't know Mindy is the creator of cute girls hairstyles the giant youtube channel, i'm sure you guys have heard of it. So she came out with these products, and i do have four of them here today to show you guys I have. I think another three products that I am currently testing all of these products are under $ 10. I believe the entire line follows suit. The four products that I have here are 790 for each and they are all available at Walmart or Walmart calm. The whole line has a naturally derived signature scent and for the life of me, I cannot figure out what the hell it smells like. It'S not back, then it's actually nice. It'S very pleasant. It'S light. It'S not anything too heavy or like a few more sensitive to scent. I don't think this is necessarily going to be something that bothers you. I want to say it's maybe like rose so first, let's talk about the Adam, my hair, gentle daily, shampoo, I'm looking down. I literally made an entire spreadsheet of notes because I am reviewing so many products at the same time and just needed something to like keep my brain and check. The claim on this product is that there is a unique blend of potent ingredients that cleanses hair of impurities and excess oils without stripping it. This shampoo is ultra mild, moisture, rich and perfectly safe for everyday use. It is sulfate free phthalate, free, paraben, free gluten, free mineral oil free. It'S also color safe cruelty free and it is vegan. Now these little claims are going to change on each bottle so, depending on the product, it may or may not be C GM approved. We have the list of the free of on the front of the shampoo, but I did put the ingredients of this into Carl spot and if you guys have never used that before it is really convenient. So if you're ever shopping in a store - and let's say you do follow the cgm method to a tea - you just you know: google, the ingredients of the product that you're looking at paste it into the curl spot generator, and that will tell you basically if the Product is CG friendly or not so the ingredient that this contains - I'm not gon na, bore you I'll just put at the bottom of the screen. If you guys are curious, but it's basically saying that this may be okay in small doses, but not everyone thinks that this product is CG friendly. So if you are someone who sticks to the curly girl method, exactly just keep that in mind. As far as the texture goes, this is slightly on the thicker side of a shampoo. I do agree that it is moisturizing, but it's definitely not the most moisturizing shampoo that I've used, which is good. I don't like anything, that's going to give me too much moisture, but I did like that this was very smooth and the fact that I felt like I could almost detangle my hair with it. So I did like that about it. I found that it did cleanse my hair nicely, it doesn't dry, it out, doesn't rip it and it's pretty easy to distribute through the hair, some shampoos kind of get like stuck in a clump. If you have to constantly keep adding water and like really working it through the scalp, this is pretty easy to use it's fast and it gets the job done. I think, if you are someone who likes more of a traditional shampoo as opposed to like no poo or a low poo you'll, really like this, it is, I don't want to say basic, but it kind of is in a way like nothing stands out. So much that I'm like, oh, my god, I have to buy this, but I think if I ran out of this, I would repurchase just because it is a good basic shampoo to have let's go ahead and talk about the conditioner. So I have here the SOS, deep, moisture and restore conditioner. You do want to mention that this line is actually pretty extensive, so there are a few different shampoos conditioners. There'S a hair mask. So this is not the only shampoo and conditioner that this line has so again on the front of the packaging. Here we have the free of list, so this one is free of SLS and SLDS phthalates parabens glue in mineral oil. It'S also color saved cruelty, free and vegan product is not curly girl approved because it does contain Tibet. The cone, which is a silicone so on the back here it says SOS, is a deeply penetrating conditioner for thick curly or coily hair that provides intense hydration volume and rejuvenation for those weak and damaged strands. You'Re, thirsty, hair. Well, thank you. So when I pump this out, it was a lot thinner than I expected it to be, and it almost felt like a pudding consistency so relatively thinner than other conditioners that I would generally gravitate towards. Do you really love how this leaves my hair and I feel like a lot of people are going to say? Well, it's obviously the silicones in it, but there's something about this. It doesn't seem like it's sitting on top of your hair, which is what a traditional like silicone product will. Do. It actually feels like your hair is getting moisturize like from the inside out, which I really love. I mean I don't know. If that's actually what is happening, but I know that my hair is incredibly soft and shiny and manageable without being weighed down when I use this, so I'm actually a really big fan of this. My thinking is that if you do have hair that needs like a lot of hydration, I don't know if this will necessarily scratch that itch, but you couldn't give it a shot. They do make a hair mask. So if you're, not someone who generally likes to use like a daily conditioner, I remember when I was transitioning for my hair being very unhealthy, because I would wash my hair so infrequently just every time I showered. I would pretty much just use a hair mask. Okay, now, let's move on to the strength, training, leave-in, conditioner pudding. I know I said that the texture of the conditioner was more like a pudding. This is actually thicker than the conditioner. This is more like a custard to me almost like a pudding flash custard. This is not curly girl friendly, it does contain genetic owned and this product cleans perfectly formulated for thick curly or coily hair. This rejuvenating leave-in restore softens and tangles your overworked tresses, while controlling frizz. So you are left with the main you can sport proudly. So for me, what I notice that it does, is it really helps with frizz it smooths, my hair, it does make it really manageable and it adds a nice bit of hydration. It'S nothing. That'S too heavy. I definitely thought it was going to be a lot heavier than it was because of the consistency. I also really like this because I can use it on days where I want to stretch my curls or I can use it on days where I'm wearing my hair curly. So I'm curly days I'll apply this as like. You know my moisturizing product and then top it with one of the other ones we'll be talking about in a second or on days where I just want to stretch my curls I'll, like throw a little bit of this in my hair, and then you know put My hair up, while it's drying overnight, if your hair is really really fine, I think that you may be better served. Checking out the. I think it's called light as a feather leave-in conditioner. So it's a leave-in conditioner, but just a lot later than this one. But if you have thicker hair, like curly or and more coarse in mind, I think this will make a good layering product for you and then last but not least, we have. I think this is probably the superstar of this whole review, and this is to the max maximum hold styling gel. Now this is the only one of the products that is CG friendly. All right, let's read the back here, is fierce styling gel is the perfect match for structured, looks with a long-lasting hold, eliminate, frizz, flakes and tack, while maximizing in your hairstyle. This is an extremely thick gel like it feels like it doesn't. Even it's like barely even moving when I shake it in the bottle like it is thick. When I use this on my hair, my curls will last for days my curls easily make it to day 3 with, like very, very minimal refreshing. Even before i refresh like the curls like towards like, like, I would say like here down up here, I think I wear my hair up a lot at night so, like my roots, can get flat, but the ends of my hair Wow, like the curl, is incredible And then, obviously, as you wear your style throughout the day like it holds the curls super well, it is not drying, it is not flaky, it is not like crunchy. It gives your hair a lot of moisture. Your hair looks shiny and soft, and I just can't say enough good things about this. I think this is a really incredible gel. Maybe, if you're looking for a replacement for the deep curl arc angel gel, this may fit the bill for you, because that gel is very thick and it's hydrating. This is even thicker, but I feel like I, like my hair - looks better using this. Those are all of the products that I have today to talk about my final thoughts as far as the products go. I think that this line from what I've seen so far and like other products that I've been using, I think that this is a really nice hair line. I would say that there are like no frills really it's kind of like basic everyday products, and I think it is great because you have an affordable price point. You have accessibility. I really like the way that the products make my hair look and feel really I'm looking forward to trying even more products from the line. There are quite a few products to choose from another video that I'm working on. That'S going to be out very soon is a Divakar alternative product video I've been getting so many DMS about. You know people who have been using deeper Krall previously and they don't know what products to use anymore. So I have been vigorously like scouring my cabinets and drawers to find products that I think are do pible or give similar results and or are just good alternatives. So make sure you are subscribe, so you don't miss out on that. I also have more heritage by Mindy reviews coming as always feel free to leave any video requests down below. Thank you guys so much for watching. I really appreciate your constant support and I hope you have an amazing week, a wonderful rest of your day. That was backwards. Who cares - and I will see you guys next time -

IndiaBatson: Your hair looks amazing in this !!!!

JP: I just bought these recently. Was looking for products to replace DevaCurl and I’ve really been loving Hairitage ❤️

Alyssa Bernice: Your hair looks so shiny and defined! Thanks for this review, it helps a lot

Guera Cabrera: I love how short and informative your videos are. You only give the relevant details. You're my go to for product recommendations. Thanks.

Derrick Jennifer Watkins: Your whole look in this video is WONDERFUL! So natural and beautiful. Thanks for the review.

Heidi Brown: I used this shampoo for 2 months and started noticing increased amount of hair loss while shampooing. I was losing multiple fistfuls of hair every time I shampooed. I quit using this product and a couple of months later I finally started getting normal hair "shed" while shampooing. My hair has thinned so much from using this product. It's half of what it used to be. I would never recommend this product to anyone.

Livia Crews: I purchased the curl cream and I love it! I definitely want to get the shampoo and conditioner

Amber Contreras: Can we get a “how to grow your hair out” video?! Like how has your hair grown that fast?!

Jayneliz R: Just got mines today and when I used it I was in love ❤️ But.. the smell is a little too strong but once the hair dries the smell isn’t as strong, Besides that I love it

Opo Kami: My hair is transitioning from straight to curly..well wavey lol and I am new to all this. So a new routine is in order. Just brought the gentle daily shampoo, smoothing conditioner, curl cream and the gel. Hope it helps with the frizz. I got these because is is vegan. Btw, your hair is beautiful!

Kait Holton: The smell was way too strong for me, and I'm not normally super sensitive to scents. It smelled like axe body spray from back in high school. It didn't smell super strong when I opened the bottle, but it just stayed on my hair for ages and gave me a headache. Way overpowering IMO.

Paola Rossy: I literally saw them yesterday at Walmart, and now you’re reviewing them!!

210leyla: Hi Dana. Do you use the gel in conjunction with the leave in conditioner? Or separate? Thank you for the review! Super helpful! ✨

Claudia: I appreciate you reviewing affordable products ❤️

Jess: Will definitely look into these products! I’m starting my curly transition with your videos! WHERE did you get that headband?! It’s so pretty!

Genisse Franklin: I just bought the curl creme and omg it smells very good!

Ariana Ocasio: I am so glad I found this video✨I am definitely going to buy a few of their products.

Floridameerkat93: The issue with Sodium C14-16 Olefin Sulfonate isn't that it isn't CG friendly, it's that it's a clarifying ingredient and isn't recommended for daily use.

Pau Olímpica: Thank you so much for helping me love my curly hair

goldie: When you do your Deva Replacement video, please give a shout out to Dippity Do's Girls with Curls Mousse as a Deva Foam Dupe. (If you've tried it of course) It works so much better and is such a wonderful product.

brytanny11: I just bought the hair mask! I thought maybe the other products were too heavy for me but my hair is similar to yours so I think I’ll try it out next time I need to replace products

Alana Johns: Really looking forward to your next video, I’m struggling to form a new routine without Devacurl

Crystal Patnett: Love the video! I’ll be sure to check this line out. Also, where did you get your headband from? It’s super cute.

Rose Buddd: That’s weird you said the to the max gel was super stiff and thick, I just bought one and it’s VERY jiggly and more of a light weight gel. It feels like water when I first dip into it and gets stickier with time

rockmom h: Wavy, thick hair: I need a deep conditioning so I bought the protein treatment didnt buy the entire line. Dont want to waist money if I didn't like it. Hopefully the protein treatment works.

Love At First Swatch: Yes! It smells like cinnamon and vanilla, with a hint of floral maybe rose?

Aleah Curtis: It’s gluten free it’s amazing

Madison Caudill: Hey girl! Can you do a review on the new Garnier shampoo and conditioner? (It’s like the same line form the Curl Treats) I just bought the conditioner because it’s super affordable!

Amber Wendt: I was just using like regular store stuff like pentene and my hair was so horrible dry flat greasy the next morning I switch to heritage and my hair is not only looking wonderful it seems like it’s growing like overnight it say within two weeks of use my hair has grown like half an inch.. i’m not one to like review products because I usually don’t have the patience to notice the difference but I have to say this stuff works wonders and it’s cheap it’s like the same price as any other shampoo or conditioner and you can get it right at Walmart. Truly the best shampoo and conditioner I’ve ever used in my life. I’ve never been able to take a shower the night before and wake up with my hair looking great I’m usually greasy with massive bad head this stuff is truly wonderful.

Patty Sofia Santoni: Love their products but I do find the scent over powering. I can only use what is rinsed off

Mandi M: Where do you get these headbands??? The one ur wearing here is so cute I want these !!

m_p_k: Super helpful ✨

Isabella Morgan: Do you know where you can buy this in Canada?

Jasmine Moore: Skincare routine please!

Kawaii Tama: Finally someone with similar hair type as me, plus same name❤️

Grace Carlander: Do you think the gel would work on long thin hair

Meghan Sauer: Are the other conditioners CGM approved? I want to try them but i still don't use silicones :/

Rodrigo F Mendoza: What is an amazing product for curly hair to tame the Frizz and keep it soft curly and not dry or crunchy. I’ve tried so many products but they don’t work and leave my hair crusty dry and ugly. If you Could please recommend me with any products it would be greatly appreciated. I’ve tried the shea moisture the ogx one and the Maui moisture and I’m currently using treseme the 7x flawless curls shampoo and conditioner. Any advice will help!! Thank you

JJinx: My roots get super flat but from my cheek bones and down is like BAM who let frodo in the house

Sophia Anise: With the shampoo, does it make ur hair feel “squeaky” if u know what I mean? Like how a sulfate shampoo would make ur hair feel?

Luz Tiburcio: is it really okay to use the hsampoo everyday though?

Lilyana Alvarez: Girl I think we have the same hair wow

Connie Gonzales: I have dry permed hair what do u recommend!! Thank you

Rachael Linn: My boyfriend says it smells like French vanilla ice cream

Justin McCurdy: Review their new new prodcuts. They make new ones every feb

Pasdenom !: Hey there :) I love your videos girl but I just wanted to warn you guys a lil on those products, even you Dana! I checked the ingredients list and it didnt look so good to me (according to my personnal knowledge) so I decided to check it out on the "Think Dirty" app and it appeared to be horrendous... As bad as Deva Curl Please beautiful don't use those products often, even at all if possible They may look fine at first but the ingredients are really poor... Vegan and cruelty free labels don't assure safe products unfortunately :(( Wishing you a great day (I am binge watching your vids lol) and I hope you didnt get my comment wrong, I just wanted to let you guys know about that❤

MagaliSurLaMer: I love the products, but that gel is so HEAVILY scented. It smells like men's cologne.

Devanie Calhoun: I find that it’s drying my hair out really bad

Sandía: I have the shampoo conditioner and some other things and I don’t know how to open the shampoo and conditioner

Ace Hardy:

Michelle: This brand is trash, and smells like mildew masked with perfume
