Hey guys, I'm going to be straightening my hair soon, so one of the things that I do to prep it is the apogee two-step protein treatment. Let'S get started, I'm starting on freshly shampooed hair that I've separated into four sections. My hair is damp, but I haven't conditioned it yet we'll do that later, I'm going to start on one of my back sections and brush through it to make sure it's detangled, your hair might be a little bit hard to detangle since there's no conditioner in it. Yet so just be gentle with this step, the protein treatment comes in these little sample packs that are super affordable. It has the protein treatment on top with the conditioner attached to the bottom. I always get mine at Sally Beauty Supply, but I'm sure they're sold elsewhere to the treatment and the conditioner also come in larger bottles. But if this is your first time trying a protein treatment on your hair, I highly suggest getting the sample packs first, just to make sure that your hair likes it, because protein treatments are definitely not for everybody. Since the protein treatment itself is super liquidy. I like to put it into a squirt bottle and squirt it onto my hair, so that it's less of a mess, and I can also make sure that all of my hair is coated also prepare yourself for this smell, because it's no joke. But it's so worth it after. I scored a generous amount of the treatment onto my hair. I like to use my paddle brush to make sure that it's evenly distributed throughout my strands. Using a brush is optional. You could also use a wide tooth comb or you could just use your hands and fingers to smooth it through as well either way you just want to make sure that all of your hair is coated. After that, I just let the section hang there and I move on to the next section and repeat the same steps i detangle this section and then I saturate the section with the protein treatment. I work it through with my paddle brush to make sure all strands are coated, and then I let the hair hang there and move on to my next section and repeat the steps again all right. So all of my hair is coated with the protein treatment. Now it just needs to dry as it dries, the treatment will start to feel really sticky and then it's going to harden on the hair, which is exactly what we want. Also, as your hair is drying, make sure you don't brush through it any more and you don't need to clip it up either. Just let it dry, as is you, can let your hair, air-dry or to speed things up a bit. You can sit under a hooded, dryer or use a blow dryer, which is what I always like to do. Once the treatment is dry, your hair will be very stiff. As you can see here, my hair is shrunken up and if you are able to reach through your screen and touch it, it would feel hard and crunchy, which is good. That means that the protein has done its job and it's time to go rinse it out. You don't need to use any shampoo to get the treatment out of your hair, but I like to use the balancing moisturizing conditioner that I showed you at the beginning to kind of co wash the treatment out of my hair. After that, my hair is ready to be deep conditioned, so I separated into sections again detangle and then I apply my deep conditioner. I would normally reach for my diva curl heaven -- and hair intense moisture treatment, but it's all gone. So I'm going to reach for one of my other favorite, deep conditioners, which is the shea moisture, manuka honey and mafura oil intensive hydration, hair masque. I'M just applying that generously to each section of my hair and then I'm using my paddle brush to make sure it's evenly distributed deep conditioning after this protein treatment or any other protein treatment is a crucial step because protein treatments don't add moisture to the hair. They add strength, shine and reduce frizz, among other things, so deep conditioning afterward will bring back some much-needed moisture to your hair. After all of my hair is coated with the deep conditioner I like to apply two shower caps and either sit under my fitted dryer for twenty to thirty minutes, or I get my blow dryer and warm things up for a few minutes, and then I just let It marinate on my hair for a few hours while I do stuff around the house after I rinse the deep conditioner out, I put my hair in some kind of protective style, and just let it rest for a few days and that's it you guys I'll, be Straightening my hair soon and doing some fun videos with straight hair, so make sure you hit that subscribe button. So you don't miss a thing and until next time I'll see you in my next one bye, you

Leggs: I don't know why I always watch this before doing my protein treatment. It's like listening to "Mama said knock you out" before a big fight.

Mariah Hicks: This is hands down the best demonstration of the aphogee protein treatment that I've come across yet! Great video!

Kyla Durie / ctrldiary: I saw this video before I bought the sample treatment, and I always think of this before I start. I went back & bought the big bottles. I’m glad I came across it.. I use it once a month and it’s been so helpful for my hair! Thank you! Also, anyone who might read this.. be careful if you have scratches/open skin. It burns a little bit. I learned the hard way. So if you have a scratch anywhere on your neck or hands, wear gloves for your hands, and use something like a towel to cover your neck.

Cynthia Alan: I love that protein treatment for my hair I use it right after bleaching and it helps keep my curls from loosing their shape and it prevents breakage!

Julie Solorio cat monkey: Thank you! Absolutely the best demo. Quick, concise instructions, beautifully demonstrated, no annoying music. Perfect.

Alexis Kiser: This stuff works !!! My hair was so damaged that I cried and was so close to going in the restroom , taking a pair of scissors and cutting all my hair off . My cousin told me to try this , and I'm glad I did . I washed my hair with the aphogee shampoo for damaged hair first , then did the two step protein treatment and then deep conditioner. After using it my hair felt so much stronger and hasn't even been shedding . I just have to clip my ends so my hair can grow better . But I'm so glad i tried it ❤️

Nova B: i just did this about 3 days ago and my curls are back!! after years of flat ironing

Patrice: I used to use ApHogee years ago when my hair would fall out from the roots, but I was scared to try it again. This video gave me the courage to get it done. The tip about using the ApHogee conditioner as a co-wash and then using a deep conditioner at the end is golden. Without it the hair can still be a little hard. Thank you so much for this video.

Nicole Bau: Thank you so much for being so thorough, I feel confident in doing this treatment myself. Look forward to more of your videos!

brittonrs26: Thank you so much for putting this together. I am doing my first protein treatment today, and the tip about putting it in a spray bottle helped me out so much. I don't think I would have been able to get even coverage without it. I hope that will help bring some life and bounce back into my baby-fine wavy strands.

Phenomenal Curves: Your hair is so beautiful. Thank you SO much for this video! I'm going to look for the sample pack at Sally's tomorrow!!

she's gone now: Putting the product in a spray bottle is a really good idea. Thanks for the vid!♡

Tracy Allen: Years later your video is still the best Thank you for putting this helpful information out for all of us looking for the answers you’ve provided… For years to come

Paris Monroe: THANK YOU for getting straight to the point!!!! I really appreciate this

J B: omg guys, if you have curly, bleach damaged hair, try this!!! I bleached my hair for the first time to dye it purple and i was so upset to find out i lost almost ALL my curls, and all my ringlets. It turned into stringy, frizzy, dry wavy hair with 3 or 4 random curls. I love the color I love how it looked straight but I was really upset that i lost my natural curls which I just recently learned to love. Fast forward to me finding this product and obsessively watching youtube reviews and finally trying it. My curls are BACK! Practically as tight as they used to be. I've amazed and so happy :)

Dawn Ervin: I’ve been stressing about my hair because I have heat damage on the sides ‍♀️. Plus I’m still learning what my hair needs. I’m sooooo glad I found this video!

clarese burns: You did an amazing job explaining everything from step to step.

Keri Rodriguez: Thank you so much for this video! When I read the instructions for this treatment I was kind of confused but your instructions are so clear and easy to follow and now I know exactly how to apply this treatment. Just one question, do you know how often I should do this treatment?

Venus: I am going to try this for the 1st time after countless deep conditioners & treatments. Bleached hair is truly the devil Your video came up 1st when searching how to apply. Thank you for the video, straight to the point Your hair is healthy & so beautiful

Hella Black Mexican: This was a very informative video thank you so much girl, I'm definitely going to give this a try!

Downtown on 7th Avenue Handbag Adventures: So glad you did this video again. I use this protein conditioner after seeing your first video but I didn't know to do a deep conditioner after the protein conditioner. Thank you for this.

Betty Phillips: Professionally done video. You were right to the point and you gave instructions and it was just a very good video.

Vanity 7: I always watch this video when I do my aphogee treatment. Making sure I do it right ✅

Tiffany Haney: Wow! Your hair is beautiful!! I'll be picking up the protein treatment tomorrow. Thanks for the tips!

P. Mack: Hey beautiful, your hair is so long and gorgeous...Thanks for sharing, I'm so glad I came across your video, because it's been awhile (lol...like 10 years) since I've tried the aphogee products. It's time for me to make that trip to Sally's!

allureing8663: After watching this video I feel so motivated to do a protein treatment now. Thanks your video was so good new subbie.

JesusisLord777: Thanks 4 uploading !!!! U were very informative. Yes, protein treatments are very helpful and very crucial to the hair's longevity, growth, and health.

Jo julian: I had a nasty, dull, UN-curly 80's type of mess on my hands, like that dog haired chick in blade runner...lookin all static-charged and what not. I followed your routine to a T, and now-we're luscious again. That spray bottle tip, I think, is KEY. I bow to your efficiency and thank you many times for the pro tips *;)

Nurse 7Love: Girl your hair is a dream!...I just got the Aphogee set and now it makes sense how to use it!

GeminiLotus♊️: Omg. I been using Aphogee since high school my hair loves this stuff. I've always had high porosity hair so my hair takes this treatment really good. It's funny though because it's always been expensive even when I was in high school but it's like the price is tripled since then lol

Chimera Chowdown: Thank you for this clear step-by-step

The Truth: Thanks sweetheart today I decided for the first time to do a protein treatment and didn't realize until I got home that it was for professional use but your video saved the day

Jennylee B: I’m about to try this for the first time and watching your video is really helpful! (Also your hair is GORGEOUS). Thanks for the instructions! Wish me luck!

Orchid: 4:20 when she said the deva curls treatment was all gone , i was like " gurl you better scoop that out" xD love your videos btw

Lenice: I am going to use the Aphogee treatment (my first time!) tomorrow and I had to come back to watch this again!

Tanesha Collins: Thank u for making a great simple video. I liked how you used the hand dryer vs a sit under dryer, because not everyone can buy one

Michelle Scales: So I use to do this years ago and it worked so good. I had Covid in April of this year, afterwards I had shedding really bad. Then went to dermatologist, was diagnosed with CCCA, (no scaring)so I completely shaved my hair off. So, my doc recommended the steroid injections in my head. I opted out with so many ppl stating how they had lumps in their and the process. So I’m doing a natural process. This is apart of my part of routine and my hair is back and better than ever, there is other steps I take as well.

vickie gamble: Great  routine I also use that same hair mask once. I will be going back to it after seeing your routine. You helped me so much. We have the same hair texture but you have crazy length. I LOVE IT.  Maybe I will get there in a year.

Lavonya Antrice: This is a great video. Lately I have been shedding and having breakage on my hair. I dyed all my hair back black, I had about 2 inches of blonde left. I feel like every since I did that( and its not the first time i have done this so Im confused) but I feel like that is what is causing the extra shedding and breakage. So I have been trying to find products to help with that. I dont recall people saying this product helps with shedding or breakage util I heard you say it. Either way its is worth a try. Thank you for the video.

Opinionated Scents: Back again to watch as if something has changed. Lol. I just have to watch this before I do my protein treatment... every single time.

Manouella DK.: Hello thx a lot for this stunning video ! I’m about to try this for the first time ! I damaged my beautiful after a first time bleaching them! Never ever again . I do a home made treatment too when I can like using : oils ( avocado peppermint Coconut grappeseed , castor ect …) + aloe Vera / banana / moringa powder . So my question is how often should you do this ? Every 2 weeks ? Once a month ? Thx in advance for your replies . Xoxo

eledek: Exactly what I needed was wondering how long I should have the treatment in my hair, since the package dont say it. Thanks girl u saved me. Nice video, and you are so cute.

Sara Adam: brilliant video, very simple, easy to follow. clear instructions

Destined2bGreat: I'm so glad you used this correctly. there are some YouTube's that show them placing their hair in buns when they brush the protein in.

IAm_Goddess369 💚👁: Hey girl.. loved the video. Im used to using Nexxus protein tx's but I'm interested in trying this product now. Few questions for clarification: 1. Did you used 3 packets of product in order to fill the entire spray bottle enough to evenly distribute the product in your hair? 2. You co-washed with the moisturizing conditioner, but did not shampoo again? 3. After co-washing out the protein tx, you deep conditioned and sat under the dryer? 4. Did you use an ApHogee deep conditioner, if so which one?

Mary J Flanagan: I bought this at my new local Beauty supply store. This video is excellent! Thanks so much for sharing.

Keyia B: Quick question can you do this before you relax your hair? Or you do you recommend waiting a few weeks after?

Evie Viva: Hello! I'm not from America so I'm not sure I'd be able to find samples of the treatment... The two bottles are quite pricey so do you think the balancing conditioner is really a mandatory step or I can skip it ? Thanks a lot for this very informative video by the way

Their Manager: Omg thank you. Awesome demo. I have applied this in the past and always struggled because of the step 1. It’s so watery

ElegantPaws01: Thank you for being sussinct and clear instructions. Brava!!!

Jennifer S: Do you have to use a specific shampoo before the 2 step protein treatment? I’ve watched other videos that use the aphogee damaged hair shampoo or the keratin and green tea shampoo or just any kind of clarifying shampoo. I have clarifying shampoo as well as purple shampoo for my bleached hair. Can I use either of those and still get the same results?
