BE KIND TO EACH OTHER, PLEASE IGNORE NEGATIVE COMMENTS IN MY COMMENT SECTION, DON'T FIGHT. REMEMBER YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL AND I LOVE YOU. XXX

I'M actually showing you guys how to make my favorite diy at home, hair growth treatment, hi, guys it's mana here and today i want to show you guys how to make rice water, so the rice water actually contains lots of amino acids. It contains patera. So all of these things really strengthen the hair, which means that your hair is going to be able to grow nice and long and also make sure that your hair is shiny at the same time. So it's really easy to make. I did actually make a video about this before, but it left some of you guys confused with how to actually make it, and i know that there is a lot of confusion like on the internet online and in real life about how to actually make rice water. So all i can do is show you guys what works for me. I do have extensions in right now, but my hair comes down to here, so my hair is still pretty damn long. So if you like this video, please thumbs it up, because it really helps me out. Also leave me a comment down below. Tell me what kind of videos you want to see from me next time and now that you guys have done all of that. Let'S go ahead and jump into the video, so there are two ways that you can make rice water. So you can make plain rice, water or you can make fermented rice water and they both start off the same. So you're gon na need to start off with some rice, white or brown rice is fine. Organic or non-organic is fine, but just make sure that if you are using non-organic make sure you wash it even more thoroughly than you would wash organic so to wash the rice you're just going to want to rinse it in cold water. So you can rinse this. In a colander - and you can run water over the top of it, that's really easy way to wash it or you can swish it around in a bowl with water. Just to remove any impurities, remove any dust remove any chemicals that might have been used on the rice like in the factories while they were making it. Because you don't need that. I would always recommend if you're gon na eat rice wash it first, because it can contain a lot of this stuff, so once you've washed it you're gon na want to put some rice into a bowl with water, so to get the right ratio. I use two tablespoons full of rice to two cups of water, so it's kind of like per tablespoon of rice. You want a cup of water, so two tablespoons of rice. You need two cups of water. If you're going to use four tablespoons of rice, you're gon na need four cups of water, because this doesn't last for very long. You wouldn't usually want to make a huge batch of this at once. So this amount of rice water is going to be absolutely perfect. For that, so you just put the rice and the water in a bowl together, and you just want to swish that around you can also knead it with your knuckles as well, and that's going to really help the nutrients to seep out of the rice into the Water, because what you're really trying to do here is to get all of the nutrients out of the rice into the water. So you can leave that mixture together for half an hour and that will usually be enough time for enough of the nutrients from the rice to have seeped into the water. And it should turn a milky, cloudy white color. And that's how you know that there is rice nutrients in the water and it will definitely change the color of it and that's how you know so. You can go ahead and you can use that right away or you can use fermented rice, water, plain rice. Water is good, but fermented rice, water is even better ph level of plain rice. Water is higher than the ph level of your hair, whereas the ph level of fermented rice water is much closer to the ph level of your hair. It'S going to help seal the cuticles of your hair. It'S going to look smoother, there's going to be less friction less frizz, also fermenting. The rice. Water really helps to enhance all of the vitamins and nutrients that you found in the plain rice, water, like carbohydrates, called inositol, which really help to boost the elasticity of your hair and strengthen your hair. There'S also patera there's a whole bunch of vitamins as well, and all of these things are really good and they're really enhanced by the fermentation process. So the way that you would get fermented rice water is that you would need to leave it for a lot longer than half an hour. Usually 24 hours is enough time to ferment the rice, water. You might find it's a little bit smelly. So if you do worry about that smell, i mean it's not too bad. But if you are worried about it, then you can stick in some lavender essence or some orange peels. So i actually went ahead and i just grated some orange peels into the mixture. So after 24 hours there might even be a few bubbles if you stir it, and that really just shows you that it's fermented and then it's good to go. You'Re gon na need to filter the water. You don't need that rice anymore, and you definitely don't need those little chunks of orange peel. So what i like to do is i put the rice water through a sieve, and the sieve will catch the rice that will catch the orange peel and then you'll just be left with the cloudy white mixture, which is the rice water. So when you have that, stick it in the fridge to preserve it or go ahead and use it right away. So when you actually decide to use the fermented rice, water you're going to need to dilute it with more water, because this is pretty strong. Almost too strong for your hair so make sure you dilute it before you use it. So i do just want to talk about boiling the water versus not boiling the water, which seems to be where most of the confusion lies. People don't know whether they should boil it or not, and whether or not they can use the water from after they've just boiled rice to eat it. I personally don't do this because, from what i understand, the hot water boiling water can help the nutrients to move out of the rice into the water much more quickly than if you were to just leave it at room temperature overnight. But i feel like the window to have the perfect amount of nutrients is so small and it can be very, very difficult to actually get that right. If you leave that water for the full 10 minutes that it takes to cook your rice, then you really risk over boiling all of that nutrients. The nutrients only took two minutes to come out, and now it's been sitting in the water, it's been boiling. That can be too long and you do risk kind of killing that nutrients and wrecking any of the benefits that it had. So i feel like it's really difficult to gauge it's a really difficult timeline to get exactly right, so the easiest thing to do is just to leave it all at room temperature. Just make sure that you get that balance right like you, don't have to worry about. Overcooking, the nutrients - you don't have to worry about killing the nutrients so just leave it at room temperature for 24 hours, so that will do the same thing as having boiled it for two minutes without the risk of destroying the nutrients. So that's how i prefer to do it. I just prefer to do it natural at room, temperature 24 hours and then put it in the fridge to stop that fermentation process and preserve all of the goodness and all of the nutrients in the rice. Water. If you do have fermented rice water, it's a good idea to dilute it, because it's very strong, so you can dilute it by adding a little bit more water and just make that mixture even bigger and then go ahead and use it. However, you want to so i have three main uses for my rice, water. I use it as a pre-poo as a deep conditioning treatment and as a hair rinse and the way that i do that is, i put it into a spray bottle. So you just want to pour your mixture into a spray bottle and when it's in there, you can just go ahead. You just want to spray that onto your hair and make sure your hair is completely evenly covered and you can use that as a scalp treatment or you can use it as a deep conditioning treatment or you can use it as a hair rinse. So hair is my favorite way to do that and the way that i do a hair rinse with it is. I literally pour the rice water all over all of my hair when i'm done washing my hair and then i just rinse my hair in that, and i leave my hair with it on that's how i do it. I make sure that there's no conditional shampoo left in my hair and i rinse my hair using rice, water and it stays in and also i don't have to worry, about the smell of the rice water because i usually put in some lavender essence or some orange Peel, so my hair actually ends up smelling pretty fresh, even though it is completely coated in the rice water. So if you guys liked this video, please thumbs it up also subscribe, so you don't miss any more videos from me. Don'T forget to leave me a comment down below and tell me which hair growth methods. I should try out next time and if you have any more questions about rice water, then please leave me a comment down below and i'll. Try my hardest to answer it as like informatively as i can so yeah with all that being said, i guess i'll see you guys in the next video bye. You

Lana Summer: HOW TO ACTUALLY USE THE RICE WATER https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x9vPG0WuVfo&t=116s

Maya S: Quarantine got me finally wanted to take care of my hair

Ambra wood haven: anyone here from corona quartantine trying to get a glow up for school next year ? no ? just me ok

Jacqueline Sawbo: I do use rice water for my hair three times a week, and I am seeing a great improvement in my hair texture and length. Great video Lana. Thank you

Ritu Choudhary: Everyone in the comment section tryna hide rice water from their mums and me and mum applying it for each other cause we both getting bald together

Rhianna: her: buy rice me: *laughs in 2020*

a.୨୧: I’ve been using this for a month + sometimes adding a small amount of coconut oil to my hair while damp I will say that... 1. You don’t see a immediate result right away it takes time 2. If u have a family member who’s used to eating rice at least once a day ask for their water. I do that with my mom, they will think it’s weird but beauty can be challenging 3. Just wait man you’ll see that soon it won’t be too slow

Honey tea: Me: *Sneaks to the kitchen and quietly gets rice out the cupboard* Mom: "wtf are you doing with rice?" Anyone else doing this secretly?

giyann: Rice water works. I had passion twists in from february 14th until march 23rd. The first 3-4 weeks consisted of me leaving my hair alone, not putting anything on it. But those last 2 weeks I saw more improvement and stronger hair growing from my roots. In a conclusion I grew more than an inch and a half, some parts I grew 2 inches.

carlotta: So I’ve been trying rice water for 6 weeks now once a week and It really works! It makes your hair so soft and shiny My hair grew 5 inches!!!!

Afolabi Oluwatayo Faith: Hi Lana I always love watching your videos I and my baby sis have been using rice water for 6 months now And it's doing wonders on her hair But on mine it's just making it thick and dark Well that 2 out of 4 things I wanted. It's not making mine long But for my sis it's really working. Her hair was 4 inches b4 and now it's almost 10 but mine is still the same 4inches. Do u have any other recipes for hair growth that I can use?

kam: i'll do it twice a week and keep you all updated. i hope my thick wavy hair grows up well. i had cut it in february kinda to my ears and its half my neck now so its the perfect time to give it a shout. 1st day (yesterday) - its soft and didnt have much volume but i have a high and medium porosity so im not going to do it anymore for those days but it made my face feel softer and my redness got better a bit + i have some pimples so i believe im getting rid of them. i forgot to say that i noticed my hair's didnt change much imo but i'll edit if it has :) i dont expect results from first try so ✌ (im trying it for acne and hair growth) 3rd day use for acne treatment: my redness and pimples get better + my hair's length is a bit longer but cant tell how many inches! i havent used it for 3 days i find it quite cool tho and my hair hasnt overloaded with protein + i dont use it every day because of my thick hair. so the rice water helps but not directly ❤ try it out and it still kept my waves ofc~ honestly its very good for the hair and the but it shouldnt be used as regularly! my redness isnt that much and i didnt even use it yesterday. my pimples started getting better too ^^ im going to wash my hair again but it'll be in the next days and i'll tell you all how it is when its dried :> I FORGOT TO EDIT but i used it like 4-5 times a month and it worked!! + i added a quinine water and going to make one again. Thanks Lana ❤ btw the quinine water is good for hair growth too

Ana Antonescu: Mom saw me getting rice from the cupboard and she said: you can make the dinner for tonight. I-

Aisha Waters: Extremely informative and very easy to understand

Curly Elizabeth: Step 1 : Get some rice ! Step 2 : Wash the rice Step 3 : portion the rice in a bowl with the water . 2 tablespoons of rice + 2 cups of water . Per tablespoon , add a cup of water . Step 4 : Leave it sitting outside of the fridge for half an hour .... Or if you want the extra benefits ..leave it for 24 hours . Step 5(optional) : add some orange peels or essential oils to kill the awful smell if you have left it standing for 24 hours . Step 6: use as a deep conditioning treatment or hair rinse .

Holistic Beauty: I started using the rice water in my hair a few weeks ago and even documented the method on my YouTube. It really works and helped prevent breakage and my hair is much stronger.. love, love, LOVE this hair remedy!❤️❤️

Ayvanna Fierce: Thanks for the video! How much did your hair grow within a month? Where your hair become thicker too the scalp etc? And how often do you use it? :) is it better to leave it in for few hours or rinse like you did for best results?

Micah Murray: 7 million people are trying to grow their hair back...

kele6wele: Nice, informative and straightforward video, thank you :)

snel: Can't wait for the weird looks I'm gonna get from my parents for this

Elizabeth Shacklette: My mom watched me make this, teased me the whole way, and then proceeded to call it bull crap. The whole family tree is about to hear about this.

Clara Ellison: THANK YOU for including measurements! I’m going to try this today!!!!

Rachael Chuka-ogwude: Hello Lana. Thanks for the video. For the orange peel, when should it come? Is it after storing the rice water for 24 hrs? Thank you.

Ware Compairable: Thank you for showing this step by step. Excited to try this technique out!

Ruby Inferno: I used to constantly have my hair in tight ponytails etc., and my hairline ended up receding slightly, which never seemed to start growing back until recently. After using a weekly rice water rinse for about a month, the hairs around my hairline have become very noticeably darker, thicker, and longer. Also my hair generally feels much stronger. I pour the rice water over wet detangled hair, then I put some deep conditioner on top and let it sit for about half an hour covered in a shower cap/clingfilm and a t shirt. Then I co wash and continue with my routine (I co wash only, never shampoo). I would highly HIGHLY recommend this, especially if you have high porosity hair like me. However, if your hair is low porosity or otherwise doesn't cope with protein, you might find using it once a month or fortnight instead of every week suits you better. Rice water has been a miracle for my hair. I'm so happy with it <3

Vegan Raw Recipes: Finally someone could explain it better, I've watched many videos on how, and in this video I got it. Thanks , definitely going to try it out!

Bella G: This actually works, 2 days later and my hair's grown 1/4 of an inch. I can keep y'all updated if y'all want.

Aubree M: I need help! What do any of you who might read this comment suggest for me? And how do you think using this rice water recipe would benefit me the most? I have 3A / 3B type curl pattern, and lately my hair has been shedding and thinning out like crazy, I barely have any hair left.. it has all broken off and just terribly thin. It used to be long, down to my belly button back in July 2019 and is now just above my chest. It gets so matted and SO tangled it's like trying to comb out dreadlocks.. I wash once a week and deep condition once a week but can't seem to help it in any way. Helllllllpppppp. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE, much love!!

Anna Cox: Thank you for the information. Also it's nice to see young ladies doing good. Proud of you Ms. Lana like a grandmother which I am. Wish you the best.

Grace and me: Thank you for making this video it's really helpful

Evelyn Victorious Lopez: Thank you so much!! You answered all my questions. I actually use rice water on my face for the first time and it worked really well, I boiled the rice wasn't sure about how much time to boil it. I watched very closely just for a few minutes. And I am going to try the rice water for my hair. I'm going to let it sit for 24 hours thank you so much!! God bless !!

Chrizanne Human: I just want to know for which hair types (thick or thin) does the rice water help most with grow and to be more silky, because I have thick hair and I just want to make sure about the water before I start using it.

thatssojayah: I want to try rice water so bad !! I want to start a healthy hair journey. I have been natural forever but these videos have been inspiring ❤️

can we get 1000 subs with no videos?: as an asian, my mom would literally *K I L L* me if she saw what i did to the rice.

Gracie: you could also use it as a spray mist. spray it on your face before you sleep after you cleansed your face. And just air dry it. And voila! you'll wake up glowing☺️

Carla: You’re meant to boil the water and if you boil it with acidic fruit peel like pomelos or oranges it’ll be even more beneficial for your hair and helps with smell

Little Baby Herbal: I love your videos and I use the fermented rice water, I add lavender into it and it helped make my hair thicker again. I love your information so so much.

Laurier: I’ve always been wanting to do this but I didn’t want my mom to catch me doing it, but after my neighbours started doing it, my mom wanted to do it too so now we’re seeing how to

davienie rivas: As a biology student, I advice not to boil it because pepsin works at 37 degrees Celsius and if it is heated at a higher temperature the enzyme (pepsin)-which is used to break down the protein into amino acids and allows your hair to absorb the nutrients- is denatured/ destroyed so it won’t work. *And in rice water the phytic acid activates the enzyme after germination which is before it ferments*

well hello you loved, worthy and beautiful being: I’ve been watching a lot of people using rice water because I wanna try it, but they are all saying to not underestimate the power of rice water because it really works and one girl said that it causes friction? or something because it really is strong and I’m kinda scared about that. So is it actually ok for your hair? Or what are your thoughts on this? Thank you!

Tyresha Walker: How long can you keep the rice water after you make it?

C Foster: Awesome info, thanks for clearing up a lot of confusion.

Ragamuffin: What is the dilution ratio? A cup to a cup? A 1/2 rice water to 1Cup water. Please clarify. I’m dying to use this on my hair! Thank you for the tip!

wormie!: so hear me up, if you're already with the wet rice and can't use it now, let it dry a little then blend it 'til it's a powder. mix this powder with milk and let it sit for 1 hour, my mom does this all the time and her hair is waist length.

Lucile M: i looooove how complete and instructive your video is

zee c: Omggg you literally explained everything soo greattttt❤️❤️

Kahuure Vetaapi: How long does it take for the hair to start growing

Secret Love: Plain rice water : Rinse rinse first. 2 tbsp of rise 2 cups of rise Leave it for 30 minutes. Then you can use it Rice 1 : water 1 Fermented rice water: Rinse rice first. 2 tbsp of rise 2 cups of rise Leave it for 24 hours. If you worry about the smell you can put some orange pella or lavander essential oil. Then take everything out once it’s done take the white water only. Then put some water on the water so it won’t be so strong. Put on your hair as a hair rinse or conditioner. Leave on for 15-30 minutes.

evangeline: I’m trying to glow up this summer!!! This girl said she would rip my hair out (braids) and that made me want to grow natural hair!

valerie •: i forgot to write it down from the first day so ill start from day 5 ( i used fermented rice water, i wash my hair and put the rice water on my scalp and my roots at night, braid it and rinse it in the morning ) day 5: my hair does grow longer and thicker but theres no drastic changes day 6: still no drastic changes but my hair became really smooth and grew abit day 7: became thick but still no drastic changes. definitely did grow from day 1 day 8 : i can finally tie a ponytail without any hair falling out! :)

Aankhi Bhattacharya: Rice water really helps in growing hair.. its a traditional method in Bengali Indians.. we use this.. and yeah most of us have really long hair in my family

Sharon Sunny: Ok guys I'm trying this tomorrow and I will update as soon as I can. UPDATE: So I put it on my hair on Tuesday night and left it on overnight and washed it off yesterday morning with shampoo and conditioner like normal but nothing really happened . My hair felt a little bit softer but it might have been the conditioner I'm not really sure Im gonna apply this again tomorrow night and see if any changes happen xo Edit: Ok I am really bad at this but I will fill in on the details. People do say that rice water is sort of like a protein treatment and if you overdo it, it could lead to a few damages so I stuck to using it 2 a week before my usual hair wash and to be fair there was no MAJOR hair growth but I have noticed that there was a little fast growth and my hair has been shedding less as well as my hair being more softer. If you want the best type of hair possible lets say for a day, then I would recommend applying castor oil and leaving it for 10 minutes and then rinsing ur hair with rice water and leaving it in for about 30 minutes and then rinse it off with nothing more than water and conditioner. This left an amazing hair texture and look for me!! xo

Sabrina Bennai: Hi Lana, I've been having big issues with my hair, hasn't grown past the top of my shoulders since 2013... I really don't know what to with it anymore, I've been watching a lot of videos and tried shampoos and products. I really want to give this a try. Do you leave the rice water on your hair until your next wash? What do you wash your hair with? Any recommendations? Please Tha k you. Very nice video

Eva Aller: What about boiling filtered/spring water first before adding to rice to leave to ferment instead of boiling the rice itself?

Julia Moreno: what happens after you use the rice water? do you rinse it with water and apply shampoo, then rinse? or is there a specific procedure for an effective hair growth?

Colombianixaxo xoxo: Having a HIGHER Ph than your hair is actually what helps to seal the cuticle and smooth the hair for less “friz”

Katie E: Imagine a kitchen in darkness at 2an Me: *creeps down stairs and opens box of rice* *opens drawer to get strainer* Drawer:creEEEEEEEEFJKSJDKE Me: *panics silently* Light turns on Mum: what are you doing Me: I don't know *holding container cup of rice and strainer*

christina & jose alvarez: Do you need to keep it refrigerated after you use some of it? Or do you leave it at room temp?

Monica WH: Also, do you have to wash the rice water out? How soon after applying it must you wash it out? What’s the longest you can leave it in your hair?

Alison Davis: Thank you Lana this helps a lot. One question. Do I refrigerate the rice water after it’s made?

The Girl That Sings: For how long can I save the rice water in the spray bottle? Like how many times can I use it?

Jorja Mete: Who's here cause they regret cutting their hair

rudo musandinde: This really helped thank you

Nm 096: How often should you use this for your hair to see results? I have a lot of hair loss and my hair is very long but fine/thin

Inesa Erdal: Hello! Can you please share how long do you keep the rice water on your hair?

OccCeeno1: Does it just grow hair that’s already there or it helps with balding/damage from chemicals as well?

zzzoeee: my sister trimmed my long hair today and i’m freaking out i need to get it back to where it was but healthier. Rice water does work . I used it when my hair was long and saw results the everyday!

Be_You_Tea_Blogn _: How long do you leave the rice water on your hair and do you wash your hair before or after? Thank you!

A H: Do you leave the spray bottle in the fridge in between uses and for how long can it be stored to keep fresh?

Vivaan's Royal singing and Dancing: Guys, this actually works! I never thought it would work this well... It grew almost an inch and that's progress! But I think we need to do it just for one week because if you're new to it just as I was, you still don't know if your hair type is really getting the help from it... So I suggest u just use this for a week or less even if it works as to not get any side effects. Let me tell you how I did it: Day 1-- Applied the rice water all over scalp, protect the root and tips, hair length by oiling (moisture) Day 2- applied (as above) left it for 3 hours, hair wash with a mild shampoo (I put the remaining rice water which was getting smelly on my hair directly and gave a small massage, and then washed it) Day3- made new batch of rice water, left the hair as it is Day4- Had to wash hair due to emergency, Applied the rice water+ moisture & let it stay. Day5- Spray the ricewater and let it stay Day 6- A bit of ricewater and lot of moisture Day 7- Spray the remaining ricewater and after some hours I wrapped up this challenge by a final hairwash... And Ta-Da!!! The results are amazing! My family was the first to notice the hairgrowth and the beauty it was adding... I was on cloud nine So guys just go for it.... Tip(as shown in the video): To remove the odour u can add some grated orange or lemon peel while keeping the ricewater to ferment. I grated lemon peel in mine and it prevented the odour for longer time... Lastly, just have huge confidence that your hair will grow and shower some love there gurl and appreciate your hair... After all its just a process... And I'm among the ones who regret cutting my hair damn short during this quarantine but this new look is really cool... Good luck...! :)))))

Kristine Joyce Borja: Aside from growing longer fast, does this make your hair thicker as well? My hair seems to be thinning and I'm looking for a natural remedy.

Julia Abel: Great video!! Went natural a little while ago, definitely trying this how long can I keep the rice water before it turns bad?

Julia: How long can you keep the rice water for in the spray bottle? Should it go in the fridge at one point?

Melissa Pacheco: How often do you use the rice water to make a noticeable difference?

Polly: 1_wash the rice w cold water 2_2 table spoons: 2 cups of water 3_crush it a bit for the nutrients till milky cloudy water 4_fermented rice water ph is much closer to your hair ph and 5_1 day, lavender and orange peels for the smell 6_filter the water to be left with the liquid only 7_throw it on the freeze 8_add water when using it bc it is too potent

John Santiago: I'm filipina, and we have plenty of rice from relief, so I'm definitely gonna try this!!!

gloybarra: Thank you for thoroughly explaining this. I'm so new to this & I cant wait to try this. Im trying to get my curly hair to go grow back long & healthy, I really damage my hair & it's grow slow now.

Raindropsofheaven_ Playz: Thanks me and my mom uses this and by the way if you have hair lose at morning you can massage your hair with rice water and again before you go to bed repeat it for 5 minutes

Straw Berry: I am going to try this I am having huge issue with my hair thickness, shedding, and thinning I am natural and pretty curly so I don't normally notice until my hair is straightening and then it's super thin

jenny gal: My hair has never been the same...its super strong and soft..thanks

Deidra Taylor: Very clear explanation

TehNerdable: Now that it's quarantine I can finally do this. :)

WWAD com: Does this support growth in areas of thinning?

Aril: Hey thanks for the video. Also I wanted to ask,can we leave it for more than 24 hours?Like a few days?

Elyana Smiles: I like the way she says "water" wota

kalah hawkins: Do you put your regular/usual hair products in after the rinse ?

M Kamui: great video. thanks much :) just one question which i hope you see to answer. how many times a week or month do you recommend using rice water?

Tink Madison: This is awesome I'm gonna have to try this for my hair

sara storm: Found your page last night and absolutely LOVE IT!!! ✨

RiRiSmi: It's great it's working for you. I use fermented rice water as well for rinses but I would recommend people rinse it out. Obviously some people may not be affected by this but bacterial scalp infections are a thing. Leaving the rice water in your hair. It will continue to ferment in your hair, it will become a breeding ground for some not so nice bacteria. I tend to use the fermented rice water as a final rinse after I shampoo and deep conditioner. By that I mean after the deep conditioner I thoroughly rinse my hair with plain water to get rid of product and ring my hair out so it's damp, not soaking wet. And the I rinse with the rice water separately. I then leave it on my hair from 20 minutes to an hour. You don't need to go above that really. For really damaged hair the hour will suffice. Then just rinse it out and style as per usual. Your hair will still get the benefits of the treatment and you won't risk a bacterial scalp infection. I also only do this once a month. Twice a month if my hair seems to be a bit lacking but usually once a month. It's basically protein treatment. I see people doing it weekly and that's protein overload. You'll dry out your hair.

chioma lynda: You didn’t say how often you use this rice water rinse. Also leaving it on your hair can cause protein overload. Do you leave it on your hair until your next hair wash day? Can you explain further?

Amy A: I think tea tree oil is the best to add for the smell because you only need a few drops to smell it. It also makes your scalp tingling.

Rosemary Amaike: Thank you for this... I needed this. Am going to try it!!

avery lewis: Thank you so much this was very helpful!

Natural Kinky Curly―Marie: It doesn't matter if you boil the Rice for a Quick 5min Or for 10min before fermenting the Rice Water for 24-48hrs. The women who use it this way grow super long hair and achieve great results such as stronger hair fibers, increased hair elasticity, manageability, and Shine. This method doesn't destroy nutrients. That's a myth and also Biology students giving an Educated guess without any proof. It's a matter of Choice. *_There was a Research Article on this Method published in Journal of Cosmetic Chemists in 2010. An abundance of antioxidants, minerals, B vitamins, vitamin E were found in the Fermented Water from Boiled Rice used by certain Asian Cultures. Traces of Pitera, an anti-aging substance that promotes cell regeneration was also found_* in the fermented rice water. Pitera is produced during fermentation of rice water Boiled or Not. It's all about the Method most comfortable to each individual using Rice water rinse or Treatment.*

Nicole Bruce: Should you keep the rice water in the fridge after you strain it and how long does it last ??

Risus: Alright so here's my plan: I'm gonna use this method on an alternate day basis. I've also got a ripe-banana hair mask planned (I'll attach the link to it if anyone wants to know). The banana hair mask has been suggested for like twice a week, but considering the damaged state of my hair (and my mom's hair, cause I'm gonna do it for both of us) is a lot (dyes, deep conditioning, bad water quality), I'll do the banana thing for 3 days, the Rice Water thing for 3 days, and I'm gonna leave Sundays as a breather day. Mom and I wash our hair daily (with Shampoo, conditioner, and we lightly rub some Amla or Coconut oil when the hair are still damp), cause the pollution here is BAD and cause our hair are so used to it now that if we don't do a daily wash, the scalp gets TOO oily and the hair-fall is twice the next day Also, I'm doing this chamomile and lemon hair spray thingy (which is a DIY dye) every day on my hair (been seeing some lightening results without increased hair-fall (than usual. I get a lot of hair-fall), so I'm gonna have to time everything in a way that I don't put too much strain on my hair, but also do most for it. I'll try my best to keep y'all updated. For today, the rice would be fermented (24 hours) in the next 3 hours, and I've added lemon peels of 1 lemon cause Grapefruit was expensive and Oranges were unavailable. Amen to this hair care routine!

Star Woodley: 1.rice 2.wash rice (rinse in cold water) 3.put the rice in water(not the one u rinsed with) 4.leave it 4 a hour (the water will be white) 5.now leave it for 24 hors is a jar 6.if it stinks but orange pills 7.drain the rice
