My Haircare Routine (I Got A Keratin Treatment)

I had this treatment done a few months ago and I have enjoyed how it transformed my hair. There are down sides to the process and after care that I didn’t outline in the video, including my hair feeling dry and damaged on the ends the day I had the treatment done. Since then, I’ve had a trim and removed 1/4 inch of length and my ends are decent. My hair still falls out, like, at a normal rate. At first it was so sleek and flat to my head which looked strange to me but was also cool, since I’m used to having a ton of volume. The wave in my hair has kind of returned over the months but the majority of my texture is straight and frizz free. I am hesitant to do the treatment again, because I think the second time around it could do some marked damage. If you’re interested in doing keratin, watch vlogs on the process, research horror stories and consult with an *experienced* “keratin” stylist. Xo! Love ya

#hair

Hey everyone welcome to my channel. Okay, I'm bringing like old-school YouTube, vibes back, I'm doing a haircare routine. I'M gon na show you how I take care of it from dry to wet to dry. I have a lot of different steps that I take and I really like to take care of my hair, especially now that I have keratin in it. I will talk more about that in a minute. I hope you guys enjoy this video and seeing my hair care routine. Please give it a thumbs up if you enjoy and let's get started so now that I have keratin in my hair, it's pretty shiny and even if I don't wash it for like 6 or 7 days like today, for example, it hasn't been washed in like a Week the ends are really dry and the roots are really oily, but they're still like this luster to my hair that I wouldn't normally have at this period in time. So the first thing I'm gon na do before wash day, because it's definitely time for a wash. I'M gon na detangle, my hair. This is a very important step. I always detangle from the ends and work my way up where it's, even if the tangles or the knots are at the top of your hair working from the bottom up, make sure that you don't compound the issue and make it more difficult to remove. So I always work from the ends all the way up to the hair until it's completely smooth. When you do this before you get in the shower, you eliminate, or at least reduce the risk of breakage when you detangle your hair post shower. That'S why I always do this without fail. It'S super important one thing. I'Ve started to do more, religiously, as always use a treatment. I either use a mask or something like olaplex. This is a take-home product that you can get at a salon. You can get this at a beauty supply. This is really great because it's like well it's patent technology. I believe that actually goes into the hair, shaft and repairs broken and damaged bonds. So if you bleach or dye your hair or if you have really damaged hair, this is a product. That'S actually like scientifically proven to repair the bonds in your hair, which is like amazing. This has definitely become like the Beauty Blender of the hair care industry. It'S a staple in all professionals, kit and that's why I of course love to use it because it works really well. I leave that in my hair for 10 minutes, rinse it out and then it's time to move on to shampoo, I feel like I have always struggled with this step. It'S just so hard to get like my entire scalp clean. So I try to really work on spending extra time with the shampoo and really massaging the scalp and from all angles as well. I'Ll. Go up underneath the hair from the side from the top and really try to get all of it onto my scalp and then pull it through the lengths of my hair, I used to only apply shampoo to the roots of my hair because I figured that is Like the oily part, that needs to be cleansed - and I didn't want to dry out the length of my hair, which is changed completely now - I actually shampoo from root to tip and I really really latch up the rest of my hair, because I want to remove All of the build-up and hairspray and product that's been on it for the past week, when you do that, you remove all of the stuff. That'S dulling your hair down, so my hair has become a lot shinier, since I started doing that. I'M gon na really like pamper myself, take my time with my shampoo massage it in this is like a thing that makes me feel emotionally cleansed as well. When I wash my hair, I just feel fresher. I feel like I've really taken care of myself, so I really enjoy this process and then, of course, they followup with conditioner. Nothing special. I just make sure I add a lot of it to my hair so that it's completely silky and smooth, and I just feel like what this routine. My hair is really transformed and it's become the kind of hair that is like shiny, and I never thought that I could be that person, but I'm that person now, I think, I'm getting there. Okay. This is also not a step that I always do. I'M just brushing through the hair to detangle it, but keep in mind your hair is the most fragile when it's wet. If your hair is super fragile or prone to breakage, just avoid that entirely. Okay, now I'm just unraveling my hair towel. I always use these soft towels in my hair because they're gentle and they don't cause any breakage - I'm gon na use a little bit of a conditioning mask something that can be left in the hair and won't weigh it down. This is gon na protect from the heat that I'm going to use and add some hydration, which will help make my hair feel and look soft. So I got my keratin treatment done and it has really changed the way my hair looks and feels, and it's changed. The texture it removed the curl from my hair. This treatment is not permanent, but it definitely does last at least six months for me, and my hair has become much softer and much shinier, but since it doesn't have curl in it, it takes way less time to do everything. I did this for my lifestyle because I was spending so much time, detangling my hair and I was experiencing so much breakage from you know. If I spent. If I skipped one day of not detangling my hair, there would be so much hair falling out, which was just stressful, and I just didn't have time to maintain my curly hair. That'S something I've always struggled with. I just feel like one thing when I got the keratin treatment done by the way, I'm just like casually running a straightener through my hair. It'S really not as precise as I used to have to do it because it's already really smooth and fairly straight. So I just do this casually section the hair and like go for it. I just think that with curly hair, it's like something I've always wanted to like represent in some way, because I have curly hair and I want to make people feel confident about it. But I've never really achieved like a nice relationship with my curly hair and I felt like I was kind of like letting people down by getting keratin. But at the end of the day, I'm really happy with this and it makes my life so much easier and it makes me feel good about my hair and it's growing healthier now. So I feel like this is a good treatment for me, but I definitely think there's like a lot of things to look into when getting keratin, so I wouldn't recommend just going for it. You have to make sure that your hair is healthy enough to do it because it is damaging, despite the fact that it makes your hair look so much healthier, it's kind of strange, but I'm really happy and I'm happy to share this hair care routine with you Guys, I hope you enjoyed it. This is my hair and I think it's only going to grow, healthier and like longer and I'll just get more health on the ends of it, which are still a little bit damaged, but this is this. Is me I hope you guys enjoyed. I love you guys. Thank you so much for watching I'll, see you in my next video bye, bye,

Maria Ghioca: People coming for her in the comments need to realize that, at the end of the day it’s HER choice to do whatever she wants with her hair. Curly hair is not for everyone, it’s so hard to maintain and a lot of money and work involved. Some of you might love and accept your curly hair, some won’t. Like i prefer caramel ice cream over vanilla. Just get over it lmao

Tiffany D: I totally understand why you've gotten the keratin treatment. Having curly hair and trying to maintain it is the ONLY struggle. It's something I've contemplated as well. But I just wanted to let you know that you were successful in making others confident with their hair, and I want to personally thank you for that. Your still beautiful girl!!

Athena: From one curly girl to another: GO YOU FOR GETTING THE KERATIN. People without curly hair don’t know the struggle, time, and mental exhaustion taking care of curls can be. Anything to make your life easier and happier . I support you and love your vids!

ayame 吹雪: What you said about letting people down when you got keratin, that really spoke to me. I grew up with completely straight hair in a family that mostly had curly or wavy hair. And even though I found their hair beautiful, my sisters would like to straighten them and remove the curls. They said it’s because they were told straight hair looked better. I never understood why that was until I realized that having straight hair is much more well-represented in society than other hair textures. I grew up getting compliments for my hair and often got asked if I got treatments, and I was too young to understand the implications of that. I agree that curly hair needs more positive representation. But at the same time, I don’t want you to feel like you can’t do anything else with it. I think you absolutely have a right to do what you want with your hair. If you feel weighed down by the pressure of representing curly hair, then it’s no different from being pressured to have straight hair. Life goes by quickly, you should do what makes you happy and healthy. To anyone reading this, curly hair or straight hair or even no hair at all, you are beautiful and stunning! True beauty is always found in happiness and confidence. ♥️

Yolanda Davis: I recently got a keratin treatment (similar hair type to yours) it’s honestly the best decision I’ve made and my hair is growing much healthier and faster

Lauren Katie: Ultimately what matters is that you feel confident with your hair! It means so much that you wanted to help other girls with curly hair (myself included) but there’s also a point where you must do what is best for you!

Jessica Porter: at first i was a little disappointed to see you got a keratin treatment. i have such thin fine hair and i would kill for beautiful hair like yours. i was upset years ago when carli bybel got that treatment too. but after you mentioned that it makes your life easier and it makes you happy, then that makes me so happy as well :) its the reason i stopped dying my hair, the maintenance was too much and it was further damaging my hair. glad to see you've found something that makes you happy :)

Nadine: I did keratin treatments too. After the 1st one, I was happy with the result. And I ended up doing 3 treatments. But after the last one, I realised that I was loosing lots of hair which had never happened before, even though I used to relax my hair for years. Even if it's called "treatment" it's a very harsh process on hair and hairdressers don't say it. So, everyone won't react the same of course, but this is not something I would recommend.

Kelli Sees: When I was wearing my hair straight, I loved having a keratin treatment! Really decreased my breakage and improved the strength of the strands. Just be careful with high heat use. The relaxing effect really is temporary but it makes it a lot easier to get heat damage and straighten your curls away completely. I’m happy that this is working for you and making your life easier. It takes such a long time to create a good relationship with your hair texture when no one in you family really interacted with it that way when you were growing up. I hope this can help get your hair to the place you want it

Ikram Rafi: I'm 19 now and I've been following you since I was 14, you've been a good inspiration for me because I have curly hair as well, I've watched how you strengthen yours with and without heat, I've seen your hair cear routine and tried to follow everything. I love my curly hair, but nothing was working for it. I've tried masks, creams, conditioners, natural remedies, sprays, shampoos, professional salon stuff, NOTHING worked, as soon as it would get fully dry it started to look like cotton. Many people told me that they would pay for my hair but I don't believe them, keratin was my only solution, I was REALLY tired of having to keep my hair up in a bun ALL THE TIME, I couldn't do a pony tail, I couldn't do fancy hairstyles, I couldn't do anything, just a regular ugly bun, not even just letting it free without touching it because I didn't feel like it. I'm so much happier now, I curl my hair anyways cause, again, I like it curly, but my natural hair just didn't work. Don't feel sorry or that you let down people because you got keratin, it's your head you do what you want, people just see a little part on YouTube, haven't you thought that maybe her hair looked good just for videos but then, when she would turn off the camera she had to put it up on a bun, or have it fluffy and big all the time? She also has soooo much hair, I totally understand her. If you are happy with your curly hair, I'm so happy that you found a way to make it look good and to fell good wearing it.

Bailey Moore: I love how honest she is. She’s always willing to try out things that other people are doing but if they don’t work out for her she lets us know and lets us know why. She isn’t doing it to please anybody she’s just trying to find what works for her

SunKissedTaeTae: I found her when she had curly hair and just fell in love with her hair but honestly as someone with curly hair as well it is so tiring to manage I don’t blame her for taking this route. Glad she’s happy!

Monicasmoda: Your hair is gorgeous! I would love to learn more about the keratin treatment, the pros and cons and why you got it. Thanks for making great content!

KamalianCiranoush: I knew this girl with naturally curly hair who had a keratin treatment done. It looked great, shiny and glossy, up until she washed her hair. After that, the curl started coming back, but it did not look cute, it just looked un-kept. I saw her again months later and she was complaining about how awful her hair looked... and to tell you the truth, she was right. Now, I don't know how committed she was to taking care of her hair and getting it back on track (considering she was also dyeing it), but what she claimed is that to her, keratin did more damage than it did good. I myself have naturally curly hair and ever since I learnt how to take better care of it, I'm starting to appreciate it more. Sure, there are plenty of things I could be doing better, and I agree with you on how time consuming it can be, but I'm super grateful for it. Not to say you're in the wrong for choosing to have your hair straight! I'm just glad straight hair has stopped being the norm as much as it used to be, and I appreciate you taking the time to talk about your relationship with your curly hair. :)

ninjareli: Can you please do a video about the pros and cons about the keratin and the process you went through on finding a trust worthy person to do it and also how the price range can be? Some people have quoted me 800 dollars and my hair is about your length and thickness. I got the treatment twice in my past and it never actually took my curl away and gave me what I was looking for. Thank you!! Your hair is gorgeous

l Gigi l: I remember when I did this in middle school. I would never do it again, but I’m glad it works for you! Moms are busy but that doesn’t mean they can’t pamper themselves .

deens: This was a seriously high quality video honestly thought I was watching a commercial at some point!

Laurenn: i’ve had 3 keratin treatments and none of them worked permanently for my naturally wavy/curly hair. what did work for me was accepting myself the way my parents made me and loving the hair that’s been passed down from the women in my family for generations. granted, that took me nearly 7 years of straightening and constant self-hatred. i love my curls now. and i hope someday you can learn to too, or just continue doing what works for you and gives you confidence ♥️

Kirstine Eibye Elgaard Christiansen: Girl, I feel the same. Last week I straightened my curls for the first time IN YEARS, and holy hell, I felt beautiful. I love my curls, but I like it better when straight :)

Sára Czipó: I’m really thinking about getting keratin. I would really love an “aftermath” video. Like did it damage your hair? Did you get split emds? How long did it last? No one really talks about it that openly and i would want to know before i do it. Thank you❤️

Lamiah: I love your videos. You are like the sister I never had and I have two sisters! You give me so much guidance and you are so inspiring. Lots of love xxx

Ashley B.: Dear Alexandra, your videos are a level up from most beauty routines because you include the emotional self-care that goes along with physical self-care. I really appreciate your content! Thanks a million <3

Ana Andrea Xoxo: Gorgeous hair! I have been thinking about doing this too. After having kids my hair changed from slightly wavy to very wavy almost curly but I can't seem to master the curly hair. Love straight shiny hair right now❤

Lizbeth Garcia: The thing I like about you is that even if this doesnt work out for you in the long run as everyones saying, youll let us know. And youll give us all the deets on why it didnt or did. Youre honesty is what keeps me watching!♥️

Gabriella Ross: I Honestly Love and appreciate you and this channel for all the honest tips and help

Andreia Fernanda: I totally get you. I have curly hair and I know how stressful it can be to keep it healthy and shinny, so I don’t judge you for doing this keratin treatment. Even so, for me, straightening my hair problably will never be an option, since my hair tends to grow super quickly and I would spend a lot of money+time retouching it. Curly hair is beautiful but is not as easy as a natural straight hair when it comes to care

Inlivinkaylor: hey girl just a few tips: put you hair in sections when doing it especially when shampooing and conditioning. it'll help you to work the product in better. also, start using some deep conditioners and microfiber towels! they work wonders.

Galena: Honestly I wouldn't be disappointed one bit I'm happy for you and glad you did the most with all your curly hair videos too I'm getting mine this weekend my hair is same length and texture as yours ❤️ this helped a lot to educate myself about how to take care after the treatment loved this it's like you read my mind aw also please do more fashion videos ❤️

Zit Carmona: I have similar hair to yours, and I’ve been thinking a lot about doing a keratin treatment but have doubts because I don’t want to lose my curls but IT IS HARD to maintain You look so pretty btw

oana: It would be great to see a follow up of the keratin treatment, and how the hair looks like after a couple of months. Great video! Thanks for posting :)

Aimee Mena: As a person who’s always struggling with their hair and hair texture I feel you, especially the long routines and maintenance.

Jocelyn Muñoz: Girl i love it! I have curly hair and i completely understand, i also have a keratin and you gotta do what makes YOU happy and feel most confident i have a different keratin where i can still style my curly hair it’s just not as tight.

Kaitlyn O'Hara: Your hair looks great! I have struggled with my curly hair too. Learning about the curly girl method really helped simplify the process for me. My hair's not perfect, but I feel more confident having curly hair with this technique. I hope that maybe it helps you too : )

Lyra Steiner: I've been thinking about getting a keratin treatment. My mom had one and it really looked great! The only thing that's holding me back is the fear of damaging my hair- people say that I have really great hair, probably because I never style it or use heat. The thing is, even though it's not damaged I just really hate the way it sits on my head. It's always too oily or frizzy or not quite wavy enough and it gets super tangly and messy whenever I try to do stuff with it- so I'm thinking keratin might make it more manageable and I might be happier with myself.

princess nicole17: I'm always so happy when I see you have a new upload! ☺ you could literally read the instruction manual to a microwave and id still watch you put so much positivity and love you put into your YouTube channel and it shows, you spread happiness to all your subscribers plus my hair, skin, nails etc are very grateful for you teaching me how to look after them.properly thank you for everything and old keep them coming! Xxx

BlackThornRose127: If your hair is extremely oily and full of product build-up, you should cleanse before applying Olaplex #3, otherwise you may end up wasting a lot of it, as it won’t penetrate the hair properly, and it’s not cheap. *Pro* *Tip* *for* *washing* : Doing a double cleanse using your shampoo can be extremely beneficial, and is considered the proper method by hairstylists. The first wash should be focused on the roots and rinsed through the ends to remove the oil at the scalp and most of the product build-up. Once you do that, you will find that the second wash will be much easier, the shampoo will lather easier, spread through the hair much easier, and you won’t have to do as much scrubbing, which can cause a bit of breakage.

kanpeki: I got a keratine treatment almost a week ago after seeing another video of yours where you mentioned it. Now I can't stop running my hands through my hair. It's so smooth and silky and it barely tangles so I can wear it loose all day (before it would tangle very easily and I would mostly wear it in a pony tail). For me there was quite some loss in volume (I guess I have much finer hair than you do), but the benefits are worth it imho. I hope the chemical smell will go away with time, though.

Shams Bakli: Same here i also struggled with my curly hair my entire life then decided to go for keratin treatment and it did amazingness to my hair! The fall out decreased and it's shiner and healther !! But as you menchined,, you shouldn't always go for keratin

Our Kentucky Home: Keratin treatments were LITERALLY the only thing that has let my hair grow without breaking off. It grew six inches in a year and a half which is a lot for me

Kaitlyn —: Curly hair is hard to maintain! I could never keep the knots away when I had long curly hair. I recently cut it short and I’ve been loving it. Layers and fall a little above my shoulder. If you ever change your mind, short curls are easy to maintain :)

B Mejia: I understand you ! I have curly hair and to be honest it has always been a burden to me. I got the Magic Sleek keratin on oct 2018 , I have been using miracle 10 + keratin shampoo and live-in conditioner... I'm super happy. Hugs from NYC :)

MelissaLorenzoMakeup: I feel so good after watching this video. I also have curly hair ( thick, a lot of hair and super frizzy and heavy) I love straight hair. I think is just my style. I love how easy my day gets when I get my hair straight. I’ve tried HARD to make peace with my curls (and even everyone compliments my curly hair )but I simply think it doesn’t compliment my face, my style, my height... At the and we have to do what makes us happy and simply decide which things we can change (in a healthy way) and do what we believe is the best for us. Love you

Manar Al Rubaye: You are the first youtuber that I started watching. I was so in love with your curly hair and it inspired me to stop hiding mine and actually know what to do with it. Either way, I still love you and I love that you feel confident with your hair like you made me feel with mine. It doesnt matter whether its curly or straight, only how we feel does. So thank you for being my inspiration

corn in your poop: We have very similar hair curl, and my strands are SUPER coarse especially as I age. I just did my own treatment for the first time and did my first wash last night and omfg it is the BEST thing I've ever done for my hair! I used to get the Copolla one done about 7 years ago and it was awesome but the price was too much for me to maintain after moving to Vegas. Hair care tech has really improved since my last pro keratin treatment. I was honestly scared to do it myself but it actually rained today and I was able to walk around in the drizzle and no frizz! I would never be able to do that before, even if my hair was in a bun with an umbrella in hand! I didn't even use a flat iron today or last night after washing. Just a round blowdryer. I'm in love lol and I can't wait for a 2nd treatment. I just hope the 2nd one takes the curl away even more.

latoya griffin: I work in a hair salon, great tip; towel dry your hair before you condition This helps conditioner to really soak into your hair and actually work!

its.caroline: Yessss im so glad you made this! Im going to use a lot of this in my routine!!! Thank you so much!!!

Maria O: I completely understand because I have unbelievable thick curly hair and it is extremely hard for me to try and maintain and take care of it but I am getting better at dealing with all of it. Also if you feel better than no one should stop you

Randi Douglas: No shade thrown here. Your hair is lovely. I had keratin treatments for about a year and my hair was very manageable and shiny. Problem for me was that I lost thickness and it just wasn’t for me in the end. Hope your journey is much more successful.

Thal Ethereal: Omfg yes. I feel u on all levels!! I live in Florida so u can even imagine how much harder it is to be a curly haired girl! I love u xoxox from Orlando Fl Thalia Torres ♥️

King Bunny: Wow your hair looks so much more manageable! Anything to save time in life, right?! Thanks girl you’re the best

Fifi B: It’s good to know I’m not the only one with a love hate relationship with their curly hair. Maintaining curly hair is a struggle for me but ur hair is beautiful! All hair types are beautiful ❤️

April B.: You look gorgeous no matter what, but you’re hair looks beautiful straight! I have naturally curly, thick hair and it’s a struggle to find products that help it look decent, not to mention hairdresser who knows how to cut it right. It’s a daily struggle, but I personally look better with my curly hair. It’s a personal decision and it’s your right to do whatever you want to do with your hair . Maybe you’ll decide to go curly again in the future and maybe not. Either way, it’s a personal choice and anyone who criticizes is jealous of how beautiful you are.

Mika Mika: You are an amazing person, and because of that, I feel the need to share something with you and the viewers. I know that you are a vegan and if you do it for the animals, is important that you know where does keratin comes from; animals, especially pangolins. If you guys google it, you will find that pangolins are the most trafficked animals in the world and are on the way of extinction. With much respect, using keratin or any animal product for an esthetic reason is worst than eating them. I hope nobody get offended and just be cautious and more aware of what came before the final product!!! PS: my english is not my first language, so sorry for any error.

sarah kristen: I recently got a Japanese straight perm which is more permanent than keratin, but kind of the same end result! I'm saving so much time and money now that I don't have to dedicate hours and use endless products to keep up with my curls! Waking up with silky shiny hair is the besssssst. It makes me happy and my life easier and I'm totally for any curly girl doing what makes their life easier !

Jessica Dean: Girl the curly hair community ain’t mad, it’s YOUR hair! CGM is meant to make our lives easier and make us more confident! If that’s not what it does for you, then you don’t have to do it!

margotfilm: i have naturally super curly hair and i straighten it a lot, i've been debating about getting a keratin treatment. i feel, like you said, about letting the curly hair community down. but my hair is my main insecurity and straight/wavy hair will just make me feel better about myself

Lillie quesinberry: Your like the helping mom that I never had so thank you so much for all your advice

MathandMakeup: Helpful to see what another thick hair girl does it's good to know I have thick hair too and it can be a lot sometimes LMAO thanks for your video loved it and your channel!!

Half moon: This video came at a very good time for me. I want to get a keratin treatment but I wasn't sure about it but after listening to you saying how happy it makes you, I've decided to get it as well.

Harinita Krishna: That's a good honest routine. I never had curly hair but I struggled with frizzy straight to wavy hair all my life, even now and I know it really isn't easy to maintain it although i love my hair. So if it makes her happy then why not? All the more power to her! <3

Maciej Walaszek: Alexandra. Thank You so much for Your tips. My girlfriend had a real problem with hair and you saved her. Now she has them long and healthy. I really appreciate Your effort of making these videos!

Hend: I trained my hair not to get oily after weeks of not washing it. I wash and style it every month, but if i were you and had to wash it regularly, i would definitely approach a treatment because it's less damaging than applying too much heat. At the end, it's really you and what makes you comfortable.

Nicola Cummings: Great tip for reducing tangles. Don't flip your head upside down to wrap a towel on your hair. Twist your wet hair low and place the lengths on the top of your head then lean slightly forward and then wrap a towel over. Makes a huge difference x

Anuradha: I have started to use a silicone shampoo "brush". It's truly a blessing for people with long nails and can't massage well enough during shampoo-ing. It makes my scalp squeaky clean. You could give it a try too!

Misa: Every time I watch your videos I treat my body way better. You are such an Inspiration! ✨

Brookelle: Absolutely love ya growing up, my grandmother would tell me that brushing your hair while wet would result in breakage, and if needed, to use a wide tooth comb instead but this could either be the ultimate tip or a total myth haha.

Mel Rose: My hair is thick and long as well, and have always had a hard time shampooing. But using a shampoo scalp brush reallllly helps too. And gets all the build up off of the scalp.

Neha: What a beautiful soul. You're so honest and true. Thank you, girls and women need to see people like you more. ❤

Shikha Alyafie: Keratin treatment had ruined my friend’s hair. It was alright for the first few months but afterwards it started to look all frizzy, damaged, dry honestly you name it. The treatment only made her hair worse. Everyone is different it may work for you or it may not. Just my two cents!

dame delim: Gurl you're not letting everyone down! It's your hair, and I think your happiness comes first. Sadly I don't think Keratin will work for people like me with very thing hair strands and sensitive scalp (Keratin treatments are harsh and there are no organic substitutes for it as of the moment)

Zhaklin Vasileva: Ive got keratin treatment 1 month ago ive never felt so happy in my life i literally love my hair i adore it and i used to hate my hair my whole life i will definately do it again

Trish Pipkins: Your hair looks beautiful!! My hair HATES keratin. It's a protein and many hair types respond well to it. Not mine. So really be careful and make sure it's right for you.

Megan Hodes: This video was so helpful I think I'm going to consider getting a keratin treatment before going to college next fall. Also, your top is extremely cute <3

Melanie Rose: I have similar hair to yours and keratin treatments really do save a lot of time. I also don’t use heat tools as much when I get a keratin so I feel like it’s more healthy.

Kat: Thanks for this! I love having curly hair WHEN its cooperating, but I live in a very humid and hot climate, so the curls look great first day, then turns into a frizzy mess if I go outside.

Miamieen Almaleki: I got a keratin treatment and I regret it so bad it made my hair break and caused so much damage my hair used to be waist length thick black know I have bald spots bob thin hair I feel bad and so insecure I hope this doesn’t happen to anyone.xoxo

K bay: I have been getting keratin treatments for the past 4 years and my hairdresser tells me that there is no need for olaplex. Wondering if I should try it anyway. Keratin treatments are awesome and I'mreally glad you decided to get it done!

V: My aunt did the keratin treatment and her hair started to fall out,I would not do it,but I also understand why you did it❤ There's some times where I wanna get rid of my curls too,but after torturing it for so long I grew to love it❤ thank you for reccomending recovery products btw.

Geraldine Ramírez: I got a Keratin treatment 3 years ago and haven’t stop ever since, it’s the best, is way easier even to wash. You don’t have to straighten your hair as you did in the video, you could simply blow dry it with a brush and that’s it, cause if not, it’s going to get more damaged!

carefulcurls: I did a keratin treatment a few years ago and it didn't do anything but damage my hair more. So I decided to start the Curly Girl Method and I've been natural ever since! The transition is most definitely a struggle but it's so worth it

beep boop ily: Thank you for this video I was thinking of getting a keratin treatment for a while now. I do have a question though if you don't mind answering. Have you noticed any hair loss from the treatment? I see a lot of people complaining about that and that's kinda scary.

basma emad: I love latterly everything you do , you’re so helpful and unique ♥️ god bless you

Shereen Anwari: Please do a detailed video on your keratin treatment. It looks stunning!

Kenya.: So excited to see constant content! What straightener is that?

Sophia: Have you ever tried ACV rinse? I think it's one of the best tricks to do when you're experiencing dull hair. (Helps with dandruff too). It terrifies me when I see people shampoo like that lol, doesn't it make your hair more tangled? or is it just me?

Kaitlyn Blackler: I love this video, you are amazing! I have really long hair too and am having issues, this video started me on some good habits

Parvati Nair: Strange. I always wished I had hair as curly as yours and people with curly hair seem to have a hard time maintaining it. I guess the grass is always greener on the other side haha. You look beautiful as always ❤️

Tasnim Shadi: I did keratin a while ago, but I preferred protin (or however you spell it). I felt like keratin had way too much chemicals in it and it sort off ruined my curls. But then we have different hair. Honestly people that are mad about it are pretty stupid because it is not their business! I don't recommend keratin but it's your hair so..

Angela Melgoza: I feel you I have coarse wavy/curly hair and I'm almost 40 and I STILL don't have a solid hair care routine down. Thanks for the video

Ananya Das: Great hair routine girl. I am a mom to a toddler and I need to wash my hair in 1 minute.

Chloe Broom: Wonderful video! You did a great job filming❤️❤️

Vee: I do my keratin myself so that I can minimize damage or breakage. I'm a 3c curly. I use a spray in keratin called Keratin Express Plus. I do them maybe 3 times a year and only do 3 or 4 passes. I do that to keep the curl in my hair when it's wet. My hair dries so much more quickly and is more manageable since I wear it straight. If I use Keratin Research Forte treatment which is for ethnic hair, eliminates all curl, so I don't go that route.

One Girl, Many Guises: This video is so calming and beautiful

boxiebabe: Which Keratin smoothing treatment did you get? I've been getting them for years, but could use a change up because mine don't last that long. Thanks! xo

Lola Poente: I support your decision for having keratin treatment! I have curly hair as well and i love my curls BUT the struggle is real! I aint got time money neither desire to take care of my curly hair. Plus i like myself more with straight hair

slave No. 4028: shes just on another level. ..shows that you can be a successful youtuber without pumping out trashy, clickbaity cookie-cutter-content. Her editing, the impressively beautiful visuals.. You can really see that there is thought and work put into every second of it. Every sentence is important and worded thoughtfully. (And also she invests some money into them,e.g. example clothing.) I also really enjoy the voice-overs. sometimes its nice just seeing somebody talk but i feel like these kinds of videos are much more pleasing to watch and more interesting. It seems like most youtubers get lazy with their content since crappy content is apparently very efficient & gets many views with little effort. But Alexandria only seems to have grown with time. <3

Bianca: omg everytime i watch one of your videos i was thinking that you the perfect person in the world your channel had everything that a girl would need to know so thank for being on youtube because i have been using your hair product tips and my hair feels so soft and great

Julie C: I totally get that conflict between wanting to embrace and represent natural waves/ curls and wanting a routine that's quick and convenient or maybe just wanting to try a different look. Being half-asian straight hair is a beauty ideal in that culture. I had years of terrible haircuts because hair dressers would try to treat it like something it's not. Straight hair is also ideal in the U.S. too. In film/tv and ads you didn't see a lot of diversity in hair texture until more recent years. If curly hair was represented for a long time it was from barrel of a curling iron. Nowadays I get keratin treatments in the winter so I can dry my hair in a reasonable amount of time and in summer I'm wavy/curly. But ultimately it's just hair and if it's not hurting you somehow and you're not changing yourself because you've been somehow made to feel ashamed of your natural beauty or even your culture then you do you. Try every look you can if you like.

EmralltTywysog: I've struggled with my curly hair all my life. It used to be thick but as I grew older it gradually got thinner and I have a lot of breakage and I never used to straighten it often. When I was "always" straightening my hair it was once a week as I only washed it once a week. I've been wanting a keratin treatment for ages but the special shampoos are way too expensive where I live so I can't afford it. So I'm just living my life with my hair in a bun or straightened. People who don't have curly hair don't know the struggle. You look like you're a homeless person every morning -_-

dc technoblood: We absorb energy with our hair (as in our bodies) so when you wash your hair aka water goes through your whole body it carries the energy with it... For example when you haven't taken a shower for a longer period you'll start to feel more tired, more stuck up but when u shower the detained energy is carried away by the water makin u feel more refreshed and envigorated
