My client has always struggled with dandruff and flaky scalp, and so before her color appointment, I had her come in a little bit early to do this treatment on her ship. First, I took a boar bristle teasing brush and gently exfoliated, her scalp, removing a lot of that flakes and buildup. Then I took the new biologic out boil and applied a few drops throughout her scalp, especially on the areas that she needed it, the most i massaged it and left it in for ten minutes, then I shampooed with the new salicylic acid, anti dandruff shampoo from biologic To the hair twice leaving it in for five minutes each then I used the biologics conditioner to finish it off, and we massaged it in and left it in for about five minutes, as you guys can see after her color service was done. Her scalp was amazing. It was completely clear, flake free and it just looked so healthy. So if you struggle with dandruff or flaky scalp, I would highly recommend checking this shampoo and conditioner this brand new line.

Lauren: The “after” should be shown at 2 days out.

ari ya 🎠: the fact that a hairstylist can’t even distinguish dandruff from flakiness caused by a dry scalp is scary

Bess McMess: Dandruff and flakey scalp are two very different conditions. Dandruff requires medicated shampoo and is technically a medical condition, while a flakey scalp just requires moisture. It’s disconcerting to see that there are “professionals” using the terms interchangeably.

Lali Debruk: Well after you’re washing your hair it look like always clean and the scalp too ,let’s see how it looks 2days later

micaela mitchell: Dry scalp IS NOT Dandruff ‍♀️

🎀 catgrrlz ♡: as somebody who suffers from dandruff to the point where most medicated shampoos don't even work on me and it's literally made me more self conscious about myself, it's kinda disgusting to see that professionals don't even know the difference between dry scalp and dandruff.

Ricarte Rivera: I would not want my scalp all scratched up before a color.

Joanne Chludzinski: My mother had really bad dandruff and was losing hair because she was on so many meds. I bought her some T Gel shampoo and she finished the bottle. The dandruff went away and eventually her hair grew back as good as new.

Sana Rizwan: I have been doing this for last 2 years, and we do it in sessions for someone who has reverting issue . One of the best treatment no doubt!

Amanda Walker: Dry scalp is not cured with a “treatment”. She needs better shampoo. Also dry scalp and dandruff are very different.

Its Me: When i was growing up this was always the routine on our hair every Saturday night. Scratch, wash, deep condition and hot oil treatment on the scalp. Washing it twice would dry it out tho. So simple but very affective.

Sarah Munoz: Hairstylists don't even understand skin conditions. Her scalp is gonna be flaky the next day, especially after getting her hair colored. ‍♀️

karla m: Shes a doll for doing this! I've been dealing with dandruff for most of my life and having a hairdresser like that would be a game changer. Always scared to go in because of my dander.

Jess12181: I can just feel how nice it is to have your scalp massage really good when you have a dry scalp!

Karen Marie Maxwell: My 13 year old has problems with a flaky scalp. We finally found a combo that works for her. And she also has a sensitive scalp too.

J W: I use to struggle with dandruff, but now when I wash my hair I put conditioner in (after shampooing) at the very beginning of my shower and I put a lot. I usually end up conditioning my hair for 10 minutes each time and it has completely cured my issue. I use avocado oil conditioner, deep moisturizing.

4_Flor: Aloe Vera is natural and it does the same thing... I use it in my hair every week and my ends look amazing and my dandruff problem... which was really bad at some point is gone

Vicki Grimm: If you look closely towards the end there is definitely still dry scalp. You can't get rid of it in one application process

ALI BABA: I HATE DANDRUFF I STRUGGLED WITH IT FOR YEARS BUT NOW I'M FREE FROM IT IT FEELS AMAZING

Amber King Martella: This is EXACTLY what my best friend and hair stylist told me to do and those products do work crazy well. I use the scalp treatment and the shampoo, the brush and omg the brush is the best and worst part. The brush feels amazing and works great but you have to either part you hair well or have someone else help, but I've been doing this for like 3 months and my scalp still gets some flakes and some itch when I go my usual 3-4 days between washes and that's when I know it's time to wash but it's not flaking everywhere and the itch is not lasting once I wash. Before I tried this I was using dandruff shampoo and it wasn't helping I was itching constantly.

norita norita: I was struggling with dandruff for a long time and it seemed like it was getting worse tried almost every shampoo with medication that they have at the stores, i even tried vinegar and coconut oil etc. And it was pointless then my dad told me to get medicasp shampoo at Wal-Mart or Walgreens and thank god my scalp is clear from dandruff and is being like 3 months now.

fentanyl54: been struggling with severe case of dandruff my whole life.. tried everything from "anti-dandruff" shampoo to soaking my scalp in a lemon juice over night yet, nothing worked. Only when I started using ketokanazole shampoo is when I started seeing result my dandruff is 97% gone. Unfortunately, the shampoo makes my hair super dry with bad texture. I'll take dry hair over a hair and scalp filled with dandruff.

mamapegg: You can also use apple cider vinegar as a rinse, after shampoo and it will get rid of dandruff in 3-4 uses. Fantastic & organic! Keep using to keep away flakes

Kimberly Patton: My husband has this issue with dry flakey scalp, but he also has it wherever there is facial hair ,on his eyebrows and in other spots such as very dry skin in his feet etc.My great great grandmother ,who was American Indian - full blood Cherokee - told me when I was around 4 years old to rinse my hair (then wrap with a thin cotton flour sack or thin dish towel) and sit in the sun for an hour or even two..but the thing she used as the conditioner was the "whey" she had left in her wooden churn after she and I sat on the porch while she dashed away & made the butter! I think she noticed a small area on the top of my scalp that my mother always referred to as "cradle cap"...not gonna lie,it's smelled pretty rank but it was never a problem again after our 2 week visit to her S.Carolina farm..The strangest thing that I will never forget her telling me was that after she was done /applied this to my head..that I was instructed to try to include as much unsalted sweet cream natural butter to my diet from then on and it need never come back. And I have, and have NEVER had any dry scalp, dandruff or such and I am 60 with skin that is neither too oily or dry... This is the same 4' 11 inch genius who also gave me an onion to cut in half and rub onto the wart (that showed up on my 6 year old hand one summer) and go in the woods and bury it- BUT to forget where I buried it.4 or 5 weeks later it just dried up and asked and fell off! The only thing she couldn't ever get me to do was get near that huge mean mule she had though!

Sato Saotome: It will work with any oil, ladies :) I have really bad dandruff and can control it by massaging oil into my scalp and leaving it in for as long as I can. It's great!

Butterfly girl: Selsun, actually helped me to be dandruff free. No more itchy scalp. But beware of removing jewelry before trying the Selsun. Don't wear any jewellery during the entire period of treatment (4 weeks) as it darkens the jewelry including Gold (mine gone black - 22 carat gold). The metallic fragrance linger for a while which is not pleasant, but it does it job perfectly

Tanya Gupta: I just got this treatment and I’ve lost all those white flakes. I’m using a certain type of oil and the anti-dandruff shampoo and conditioner on an alternate basis and it seems to be working just fine.

Daphne: My scalp looks like hers and I like to use a shampoo brush with soft rubbery tips to exfoliate my scalp while shampooing!

Rose: I had this too! But i customized a shampoo and conditioner from function of beauty and OMG i swear it was insane and really good! You can choose your hair goals and your own hair condition and simply get your own shampoo and conditioner that is perfect for your own hair. Using drugstore shampoo is definitely not good. I will never go back to drugstore shampoo. Can highly recommend it to those who want to have beautiful silky and hydrated hair

Witty Vixen: A lot of people don’t know the difference between dry scalp and dandruff. Dandruff looks really waxy, yellow and often times stinks. I always have to redirect customers to a different shampoo because they are using drying shampoos thinking it’ll fix their dandruff.

A G: I used to have really bad dandruff and it was because I was allergic to sls. Would look like a snowstorm every time I washed my hair before. Now I wash my hair once a week with an sls free shampoo and it's great

Maddy Mua: As someone who went to cosmetology school, it's against the rules to scratch someone's scalp. You're not allowed to do it with your fingernails, and you're not allowed to do it with your brushes / comb. This can cause infection. She also put product on it immediately after? That's an open wound... A stylist could get in a lot of trouble if they were caught doing this

Katie Ha: Tbh I tried this and it worked like a charm. Significantly decreased all flakiness!

Julie: I have dandruff and oily scalp, I’ve tried head n shoulders, natural ingredients shampoo, coconut oil, and I find that tea tree definitely helps with the need to itch and flakes.

Brian Griffin ASMR: The thing is that I can just wash my hair normally and it will look like that .....until the next morning

George Bakhturidze: I was looking for one year and finally a quick and perfect video that works.

J Lop: I love how now its normal to suffer from dandruff... few years back it was not acceptable. I stopped going to salons after my first incident with a hair dresser. Ever since then felt so ashamed but no longer have some anymore

MariahG: I have dandruff as well. I've used salycic acid shampoos and they only made it worse. After visiting a dermatologist they were able to perscribe me a medicated shampoo(nizoral). Everything cleared up and it didnt leave my scalp feeling awful like the salycic acid. I would reccpmed your client to see a derm to help instead of scraping it out and using that shampoo.

Kathleen Tones: Never do a physical exfoliation and chemical exfoliation in the same day or right after each other! This could have definitely irritated her scalp and in a couple days made it even worse. Of course it looks clear and clean immediately after washing, but this could cause more harm than good in the long run.

Christi RH: Our son had severe dandruff. The pediatrician said to learn to live with it and manage it the best we could. Two treatments with undiluted DōTerra Melaleuca Essential Oil on dry, clean hair (washed afterward) and it never returned. That was 8 years ago. I would never trust another brand.

Lalo: I had this issue. I fixed it by washing with baking soda and conditioning with acv mixed with water and teatree oil 3 times a week. The other days I only rub scalp with water only. Been doing this for years and never had to purchase any other product or shampoo.

Dachdog: Or, soak with vinegar for 5 mins, rinse and dona deep conditioner now that all the product build-up is gone, then apply a daily conditioner. Beautiful soft hair. And clean scape with no fungus. Doesn't strip hair color either.

Bethany: I know this is probably awful for hair, but the only thing that helps my dandruff is twice a week messaging Cerave Moisturizer into my scalp before bed.

Gillian: I also have dandruff but I just use dove dandruff shampoo and its moisturizing too. I works just fine for me and my hair is super fluffy and soft after words lol

Michelle Saavedra: I have one tiny little patch on the back of my head that itches and gets flakey if I don't shampoo for more than two days. (I almost always do but I try to give my hair a break from chemicals a couple days a week). Idk if that is considered dandruff or something else. It's more like scaly and goes away as soon as I wash it.

HvH HorribleCSOGamerLives: I have the exact same issue, very flaky scalp and skin

Hadia Afzal: I had very bad dandruff. It wont go away in a day. Her scalp is still white which usually means the flakes will come back. It takes weeks at least to get rid of dandruff completely.

nelsongreen7: Secret is don't go to sleep with wet hair. Make sure your hair really dry. I try this before and it worked.

Suzelane Araujo: SENSACIONAL QUE MARAVILHA GOSTEI.

Little Brasil: I’m using Biolage R.A.W UpLift shampoo and conditioner for longer volumizing and i will definitely stay with this brand, it’s really cleanse shine and now i only wash once with little amount, with ordinary ones i had to wash twice. I’m searching reviews for other items from this company like live in.

Gina Sorrentino: Hi, cosmetologist here. Dandruff is built up oil, that turns from a liquid to a solid and proceeds to flake off. Yes, what she did above can help TEMPORARILY. For maybe a day or 2. However, you MUST stimulate your scalp & increase circulation by really scrubbing your scalp. We also sweat during the day, even when we are not doing much, the body is constantly shedding skin and turning over new cells.. You must exfoliate and increase circulation or the oil will continue to build up. When the built up oil is now flaking off.. It's clear that their is not much stimulation at all going on. Tea tree oils & other products that have amazing essential oils may aide in breaking up that oil and build up, but ultimately, your going to need to spend a few minutes in the shower scrubbing your scalp each time you wash your hair.

Lamont Wilkerson: I'm so thankful for this comment section. 2 things... 1. If you have dry scalp DO NOT shampoo with dandruff shampoo, it is designed to dry out the fungus, which is Dandruff. (Hello, don't make your situation worse) 2. If you have real Dandruff you will be asked to leave, that bacteria can be worse than lice. It is basically athletes foot on your head. (hint... cream 2 weeks, thank me later) H.S. 9 yrs

rembrandt: Dandruff and dry scalp are two completely different things with different treatments.

India Coers: I do struggle and I use the hydrating shampoo and conditioner but I definitely am going to try this out !!!!

C K: I find I use an all natural shampoo bar with olive oil and my scalp has never looked better :)

Mary Gawronski: Please be super careful and make sure that a client doesn't have psoriasis. It presents similarly on the scalp, and some products can be extremely damaging or painful

Pupcicle: I didn’t use these products but I have the problem every winter. What I do to help a bit is using coconut oil and massage my hair and skull before washing. After 3-4 times I do it, it nearly nothing dry after 2 days

Miss Anthrope: I do this so my daughter. Took her to a dermatologist last week and found out it is a type of over production of year. It takes a prescription shampoo

Lacey Gonzalez: When I get a haircut I pay extra for a wash. It just feels so good when someone else washes your hair

Addixeast.: Thank you my dandruff is so bad I always scratch my head and I would get my head checked for lice but there was never lice

meghan wright: Dandruff is a yeastlike fungus called malassezia that feeds on oils on the scalp. The scalp will look completely different from just having dry scalp. Your client had dry scalp not dandruff. But also wouldn’t adding more oil to the scalp actually be feeding the fungus ?

Kyle 0: Salicylic acid in hair products is perfect for removing colour.

Mariah Lovely: That’s every time with any type of dandruff shampoo on my scalp looks beautiful after a wash, it’s always a day or so after when the flakes start. I always try to do the coconut oil conditioner on my scalp which works for a little bit but flakes are inevitable.

Rikavari: She may have demodex, it's way more common than you think. Diluted tea tree oil or hypochlorous acid really helps.

Imma the chopsticks that Jin always carry: Dandruff is nasty! It comes again after 1 or 2 days post shampoo ✋ and it's irritating.

Zane Versetti: I need this , my hair gets like that too in the winter

pretzel the pooch: I need this- 7 hours after I took a shower I had dandruff, and I scrubbed my scalp real hard

Gabby Hagines: I put tea tree oil and then rinse it out in the morning and then put some more but it's a tea tree oil leave in and then some Cantu argan oil leave in and I'm good to go! I also have very coily course hair also when I rinse i don't use shampoo just warm water and get the tangles out

Jayden Hunt: Ok, I just have to say this as a person who cares about hair. OMG NEVER PUT CONDITIONER ON THE SCALP!

Wolfxi 7: Guys can I just say that I don't reccomend this. Literally tried this and omg did my scalp look 10x worse. The dryness became so obvious I had to start parting my hair differently so that it wasn't noticeable. It literally left a patch of dry skin after trying this so please either just don't do it or proceed with caution

Ssh: I just used coconut oil, works great

Danielle Wilson: Getting my hair washed is why I get my hair did...lol Thats the most relaxing thing in the world.

Nwar_Grove: I suffer from a psoriasis on my scalp which causes alot of dandruff flakiness whatever you wanna call it it additionally causes my head to scalp and bleed however I've found that using the anti dandruff shampoo and conditioners you get dont work too well for me this lead me to find other things such as Palmers cocoa butter shampoo and conditioner it helps soothe my scalp and remove dandruff. Simply put it helps my scalp loose its itchiness the dandruff etc. And what I do to help remove the flakes ill get is using a nit comb the fine bristles help get all the dead dry skin out and away from my hair.

PlayaPleathe: Looks like any scalp right after it’s been washed/conditioned to me.

Darla Girl: I use apple cider vinegar... That's it. Then massage for a couple min then rinse. Then use whatever shampoo/conditioner I usually use on client. Also advise client to mix half and half shampoo and vinegar to keep up the work at home. Always works. I am a barber...45 years. Vinegar alkalizes the skin so it becomes problem free

Maddie films: Honestly if you truly struggle with oily scalp then start skipping shampoo to every other day. It might seem like it's getting worse but trust me it has to get worse before it gets better. Your ph will balance out and the oil will stop. Also use a sulfate free shampoo and drink spearmint tea

Wandering Soul: I just use tee tree oil mixed with olive oil in my scalp for an hour and wash it out and my scalp is fine for a long time

Payal Mehta: Is there a name for this salon treatment specifically to remove scalp buildup?

Gustavo Gonzalez: easy solution, buy head and shoulders use it once a day first week after that once every other day (don't wash your hair everyday especially with hot/warm water, cool water on your head always.) Also try to skip 2 days, its better for your hair but if the dandruff comes back then stick to 1 day.. If you're very athletic and sweat alot then goodluck but if you're normal then this should work.( works with flaky skin as well )

Adam Mercer: I do the same thing with a regular comb and above average shampoo. Clean and let heal. Same with my beard

Accio Bread: Unrelated question: what are your rings made of and don’t they get damaged when you use them while treating hair?

Sweet_T_Beauty TV: Please don’t do this especially if you need to lift the hair afterwards it can cause irradiation and you’re essentially opening up your scalp so you may even feel slight burn or be uncomfortable when chemically treating your hair cardnal rule is don’t irritate or scratch your scalp

Law Liet: Is massaging with a conditioner okay? I thought the conditioner shouldn't go anywhere near your scalp??

shortyylu: I need you to do this to me! I have dry scalp now. Since I had my daughter I’ve had it but it’s worse in the winter

evelyn: I have dandruff and I use anti dandruff shampoos and they work, some doctors recommend a anti dandruff and I bought it and I will try it! It’s medicated, I also use Head and Shoulders a top dandruff.

apurv raj: Just use curd with lemon it will never let your dandruff come again

Unknown: No matter what you put on the hair, after you wash it it will come out clean.

3sticksofunsaltedbutter: I wish we had this type of treatment cause our entire family was hit by the dandruff brush

Luna Melody: For me I just add baby oil and sleep with it. The next morning wash my hair good as new and much softer.

IMiss Mr.Kitty: She needs to put Apple Cider Vinegar in her hair, let it sit for 5 minutes, and then rinse it out after using shampoo. That will help balance out her pH and reduce the dry itchy scalp.

abeer and cats: scratching my dry scalp like this This is terrifying I can feel the irritation

jezdolly: I know she isn’t treating someone with psoriasis, but as someone with severe psoriasis this would be a huge no for me. Specifically the “exfoliation” at the beginning with the brush. That would cause my scalp to bleed and become red and irritated. And honestly if I tried to “dry exfoliate” my scalp it would snow for eternity. You’d never see the end of it... Sorry for the intense graphic. Hahah I just laugh at the thought of a hairdresser scraping my scalp only to realise they are making it even flakier.

Amrita: Just apply sour curd and leave for 30mins. Do it twice a week. Its a best treatment,

Lindsey Allotta: I went to beauty school and you are not supposed to exfoliate the scalp before a chemical service.. someone could have a bad reaction especially if they have sensitive skin. A chemical burn on the scalp will only make this problem worse.

Lea: Omg this hairdresser deserves a raise

N'Briez-C: Does this work for just insanely itchy scalp?

Clarion Clear: After hearing "biolage" about three times I felt like something was off and went to the comments. You guys don't disappoint.

Sugawara Kōshi: Me with flakey scalp for 3 years: **sees this** so you’re telling me i coulda had this problem fixed in one day, but i’ve been having it for 3 years-

Teganmxx1995 M1995: Hi, I have lupus and when I flare up my scalp goes exactly like this plus my hair falls out and i get scabs also. (Sorry for the tmi, horrible I know.) Would this still help? I've tried so much, vosine, head and shoulders, t gel l, coal tar exc ...

Is Az: Use olive oil & a pure olive oil soap to wash it out. Stay natural.
