What why which, who and the five steps to using a hero, mousse, hello, hi? How are you i'm robin, welcome back or welcome to my youtube channel this little world right here? Is man from south if you like, hair product reviews, grooming, skincare, fragrance and videos like this very one, then chances are yes, you are going to love it around here. Please do press subscribe right now. Okay, episode 5 of my hair products guide series really a deep dive into the world of hair products, helping you find the best product for you and ultimately really helping to save you money i'll. Do all the testing i'll tell you the products that are going to work honestly now mooses? What are they generally? A mousse comes in a can, it might be called a mousse or it might be called a foam. It will be in a pressurized container, which will shoot out a little mound of foam or mousse into your hand. Another why? Why do you want to be using a mousse? Mousses are great for volume, thickening products, sea salt sprays are not going to give you the kind of volume that a moose is going to give you, and this was a hairstyle. I did with a mousse which you are going to see coming up now, who can use a mousse? Anyone can use a mousse if you've got fine high here. If you've got sort of thinning here, you can use a mousse, it's going to help to provide body. It'S going to wrap the hair and it's going to give it this really great structure to then go on and style. If you've got coarse hair, if you've got thick hair, you can also use a mousse and the five steps i'm going to talk about are going to help you do that also curly haired, guys hi. I salute you, we have it here guys and the sort of the way that you're going to activate it. You might use a diffuser on the hairdryer, but it's going to make the most of those curls. This is not about straightening those gorgeous curls out. It'S about making the most of it, which mooses to use. Now there are so many mooses i'm going to make a link down below it's going to tell you some of the best mooses that i've used, give you the best prices, but on manfromself.com i have a full section dedicated to mooses and if you click the link, It'S going to give you it from low to high price some of my favorites and it's a v05 one. It'S called a form, it's cheap, it's cheerful! It works, maybe slightly more drying. Um also bumble and bumble had a great one, full form thickening mousse, it's discontinued. The soft form mousse, not so great um, who else the macgyver one macgyver by evil, is the product i'm going to be using this video. I absolutely love it big, voluminous hair, huge volume and a mousse which i think is perfect evil as a brand. It'S also great around the 20 pound mark, sometimes cheaper. It will be on man from self.com um around about this sort of 20 plus mark, but i think it's very much worth it for 200 mils. Okay, i'm going to show you how i style with mooses musai, always five steps, and the first thing i would say, is start with damp hair step. One is to always shake this, because it's in a can it's a pressurized container so shaking it. It'S gon na ensure that it all comes out as it should. If you don't shake it, then you're going to get this shake shake shake. Second step is the amount you want, a small mound. You don't want a mountain, you want a mound, so something about that. It does grow, and if this is not enough, you can put more in start small work up step. Three is distribution, get this bad boy and get it into the hair all through the hair root to tip. Don'T just focus on the bits you think you're gon na have the volume you want it all throughout. If it's not fully distributed, you don't feel like your hair is fully coated. Then you can get a little bit more. A mound, not a mountain step. Four is to activate it, and this is heat activated, so using a hair, dryer medium heat fast speed is going to make that product work. It'S really going to get it, bring it alive and it's going to start to plump the hair and add loads of volume. Now it is at this point that you might think, oh god, what have i done to my hair, it's going to feel a little bit sticky a bit crispy keep going! You really want to get the hair starting to be dry, don't over dry it but start to get the hair dry if it does feel a bit, tacky keep going you're, not yet there or you've messed up my first few steps and putting too much but keep Trying also, while you're drying, it start to push the hair in the direction that you want it to go. For me, i'm going to go with a classic 2014-15 quiff, so i'm going to be pushing it this way, but you can go anywhere. You want. If you do have curly hair or it's slightly coarse, you might actually be kind of drying it more with the flat of your hand just to work with those curls work with the movement and work with the waves. But for me, and anyone else with fine fly away here or that just loves the volume push up. It'S huge right whenever i'm using a hairdryer whenever you're using a hairdryer always finish on a cold blast of air. I'Ve always said this. If you're, still new to this hey, come on press subscribe, cold blast of air is going to close the cuticle, which is the outer surface of the hair. It'S going to make it stronger. It'S going to increase the shine and it's going to allow you to move on to the next step. Okay, right step: five is finish: you might be very happy with how this looks, but this will for me anyway. This will drop during the day and if i put all this volume in behold, then i'm gon na want that volume to stay so finish, for me is all about using a styling product. I would tend to use something quite light, something malleable something it's going to be able to help build that volume so go a paste or a clay right, big big volume. Also as part of the finish and very much old school me. I'D always use a hairspray. Just because you've got the volume from the mousse, but mousses tend not to give you a great hold styling product might do, but a blast of hairspray is just gon na ensure it doesn't move, and that is that volume really that only a mousse could achieve. Thank you very much for watching hope. You'Ve enjoyed this one. I am loving doing this hair product series guide, um. It just really sort of takes me back to where this all began and reminded me of some of the fantastic products that are out there. All these products are on mamfromself.com, also, if you've missed any of these series. Before, as i say, this is episode. Five we've spoken sea salts, thickening sprays at pre-styling, we've also gone into kind of like just the three steps of hair styling next week. Moving on to styling products, which is going to be just so much going on, so i will link it in the cards. I think that's up there. Also, if you're still new to this you've still not quite subscribed, then hey come on. Please do press subscribe right now. The button is just there. There'S also movie suggestions down there stay with me and watch them and head to the product pages there and yes more in the cards up there. Until my next new video, bye-bye

Robin James: Let me know what you think of the series so far!

Cristian Alèjandro: Comparing cheaper hair products to higher luxury brands would be another cool series. Great work by the way!

Amy C: Great video! I’m a woman in her 30s who has never figured out how to obtain volume in my hair. So helpful’! Also love your street style videos

Luke Coleman: Concise yet detailed and to the point. Rate the hair series, keep it up

barry maple: Love these and now going to try sea salt spray for my longer hair styles. Last time I just looked a mess hahaha cheers for the tips. Keep up the good work.

Keri / Bar and Bell Home Fitness: Thank you!!!! And I appreciate that you address different hair textures. I'm 54 and using moose for the very first time so this video was so helpful.

Jake Platt: Surprised you didn’t mention the Oribe mousse that you used at your recent haircut video. I purchased that mousse after watching that video and it’s hands down the best one I’ve tried.

NewTrollingGen: Always excited to watch your new vids! I have a question- after prestyling with a volumising cream, I apply my matte paste and my hair starts to get knotted, any advice?

Mrqueest: Nice vid! I don't know if anyone can answer this, but I've recently been trying a mousse, into a clay pomade, and then hairspray. It was working great before but this past week every day my hair seems to stay up for an hour or so, but then drop and never recover. I was wondering if anyone can help troubleshoot some problems as to why this is happening because before the problem wasn't this bad.

Max May: Some creators don't even bother with timestamps, but Robin here provided timestamps for every single part of the 5-step process.

Yassir Ak: I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!! I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL!! MORE THIS SERIES!! U HELPED ME THRU MY HAIR JOURNEY!! FOREVER GRATEFUL

TheDilCam: I live for your hair videos man! Maybe an updated best clays to use in 2021 video?

O U T C A S T: Thanks, needed this video <3 Any opinions about hair fibers?

JC Burgos: Omg Robin, I was browsing for hair mousse yesterday and now you upload this video. Perfect Timing! And great as always!

Fabrizio Oyanader Gallardo: Hi Robin! It's ok to use mousse and sea salt spray at the same time?

Rennaissance Bean: Hey Robin, I have longer hair, maybe slightly longer than before you cut it, I'm looking for volume in my hair, as it' sits flat, and looks healthy but....well flat. would mousse be the pre-styler for me still?

Maick.S: Hi Robin! I usually experience severe tug and pull with almost any products that I have used (Claymation, Moroccanoil texture clay and Gray Ghost), I have thick and straight medium/long hair. Do you have any suggestion? I usually damp a bit the product with water but that doesn't help. I bought Gray Ghost paste thinking it could solve my problem but that is not the case. Thanks!

Vega Lyra: Hi robin ive been binge watching your fragrence videos they're awesome and im interested in buying my first fragrence, im thinking something that gives off a dark and mysterious vibe, do you have any recommendations?

Luke: Can i add some texture powder into the mousse when prestyling?

Joenathan: Thanks this was a huge help

Arib bhai: Hi. Do i use the aveda thickening spray with mousse during the pre style duration

Karen McHugh: Luv you, great in-depth tutorials, keep it up! Also your eyes are amazing!!!

Agustus Hull: I use mousse daily and wash my hair about once a week(fine hair). Should I be wetting and applying it everyday? Or using a shower cap? I'm lost.

garry: Mousse for me is out cause in the eighties and nineties i used to use this in my hair but using this caused so much trouble with my hair so once i was 18years old i started using gel and wax cause i have dark hair and a double crown ontop of my head my hair is bloody way too hard for me to style so i do what i can anyway so thank u

mike corpuz: How long does it last to your hair?

Angelo Haritakis: Hi Robin, I don't use a hair dryer, can I air dry my hair and will it work?

Tina Tynnie: I love the way to you those you make when you talk. Thanks anyways i was getting pretty frustrated with my new mousse but thanks for letting me know i need to really really shake it to get what i want

Vinoth Kumar: I am enjoying this series

Christopher C: Robin maybe you could help me me . My hair is on the the finer thinner side my style is a slick back . I learned to stay away from pomades. I watched your videos and still am undecided on what product may be right for me . I’m looking for something with a medium to high hold with a little shine . I tried Hanz de Fuko but I feel like it wasn’t easily to apply and ending up ripping a lot of hair . I’m interested in a clay or paste just unsure . Also last question what hair spray would you recommend for finishing touches . Thanks robin always watch the vids godbless :)

MegaJodog: Do you know of any products that make your hair darker?

Vaideh Hadke: This is the first time I am so early that Robin didn't started giving out hearts yet.

Tina Battrick: Amazing I saw it on Instagram now I'm watching it on here

Adam k: is there a product that weighs hair down without looking wet?

Valentina: I love mousse for my curly hair

Amin N: Isn't bad when you apply the mousse on your roots ot it's ok?

augustya: Hey Robin ! Can we have the name of the Brand of the Hair Dryer you used in this video ?

Jealous Sphynx: yesss Mousse and some hair spray keep a bad hair day away

Tina Tynnie: Can you hint me on any hair products that can help my daughter's hair. Her hair is too light and scanty. I need it full and stronger

no288: Toni&Guy at 0:48 Can't NOT recommend it. When i started to use it my hair started to fall out. I stopped using it and everything went back to normal

Adam Smith: do I need to necessarily use hair dryer? I do not have one.

AYAAN SHAIKH: I am not styling my right now cause not going outside and aswell as lockdown in mumbai(India), love from india big brother

PHENOMENAL Siddique: Can I just go with wet look...means not drying after applying mousse

Bjørn Bjør: Hair Mousse is so 90's like.gel, did not use it anymore

Adrian Castañeda: Awesome video

Sunny Goodman:

T: I disagree, should put on roots not all over the hair. especially if hair if not thick. it will make it look greasy and worse. I know have changed the way I do it per a video I watched and is doing better.

Chicha Rones: Anything for people who have fragrance allergies? Plus I don’t like smelling like a flower.

Pauline Weir: You are so wonderful

Itachi Uchiha: I like to style my hair like that to sir can you give me a tip how to do that style sir

Tonaldo: Moussevideo on 2021! Oh boi!

Unbreakable Diamond: Girly stuff.

EZ James: You could put a little surfboard on there.

Aditya Chaudhary: Wgy do you make me remind of Edwin Jarvis???

Frank Bennardo: Why don't you have sideburns sir? Not liking the look. Men look better and sexier with the right length of sideburns
