I Tried Luxury Black Owned Hair Products On My Type 4 Hair | Kandidkinks

Hey guys welcome back to my channel it's Lexie and today's video is a product review. I asked you guys on Instagram. First, because you guys are product junkies and I will do the tool in the next video or like to answer that or whatever I'm gon na do, let me get to it. Okay and I actually bought two of the tools so I'll be giving one away and I'll do another video on the other, so just stay tuned to my channel, because we're giving stuff away we're reviewing products were acting a fool. The video this video is going to be a demo review, detailed flexi situation all about Rio. Gio and their specific line reviewing today is the curl charisma line. These items were sent to me in PR I'm still gon na do what I'm gon na do and I'm gon na tell y'all. You know the good, the bad, the ugly, like everything that I felt about this collection, what I would buy, what I loved, what stood out we're gon na get in to that. So I don't know this. I actually found this out when I did a little bit of research after receiving the products that Rio de Janeiro's black-owned. How did I know that Burgos black-owned it's sold in Sephora and it is actually the fastest growing haircare brand in Sephora right now, I'm happy. I'M very happy, I'm always happy when I hear stuff like that, it makes me very hopeful and very proud, and all of that, so my hair looks really good. I think that I think that's clear, but if you guys know me, you don't have to get into it and if you don't know me, I'm gon na get into it and you should subscribe from now. Cuz we're gon na get into it. Okay, so starting off, I have some footage of me actually doing my hair in the shower, because back there has been a mess for about like a month good two months now and I finally cleaned it out so we're back filming again in my room in my Spot that I created for filming we're back here, but I recorded me washing my hair actually in the shower and getting all you know all that. So here's the clips of me washing my hair in the shower. I use the charisma rice amino and avocado hydrating shampoo. So this collection has no sulfates silicones, no parabens, and the brand itself is supposed to be very clean and just like good for your hair, with good ingredients for your hair and less of the crap, and you already know. I love me - a good clean product. The first few ingredients are water, sodium coke oil, isolate donate lower. My two propio bethany and glycerin cooking might appropriate hydroxy, salty nat glycol distearate. The list goes on. This specific shampoo is supposed to be hydrating now. What I will say is that my hair was cleansed. This is a shampoo that you grab when your hair is dirty, like your scalp, your shaft, every part of your hair is like from braids or from a weave or from a way like your hair, is in need of cleansing. You grab this, I wouldn't call it stripping, but I went a it's not stripping like it's right there like it's, really cleansing my hair felt very, very cleansed and like like squeaky clean, if that makes sense. So I would not use this if my hair is semi dirty or if my hair is semi needs me wash like you know, but I would use it when my hair is dirty dirty, but definitely not like on a weekly basis. I felt like it a little bit too much of a cleanse cleanse cleanse for me and my personal taste. So there was that some people like for their hair to be like clean, clean, clean and if you do like that, then that shampoo it'd probably be good great amazing for you. So my hair was like okay now what's next, we need something we're clean okay, so I went ahead and I applied the charisma rice amino and shape curl defining conditioner, so it has no sulfates no silicones and no parabens woody woody wool. No, I love me a good silicone free, conditioner. Okay, I live for it. Good silicone, free, conditioner, okay, so the first four ingredients are water, setup, alcohol, sterile alcohol, glycerin, Brassica, alcohol, settle esters and the list goes on. So this conditioner is in fluid right, amino acids and shea butter to hydrate and maintain healthy-looking curls tomato fruit. Ferment extract help to promote consistent confirmation, enhancing the vibrancy and texture of each curl. So when I apply this to my hair, okay, it's softening up my hair. It'S cool whatever, within about a minute or two minutes. My hair really absorbed this product like it really absorbed the conditioner, and I was like oh. This is what we're talking about like. I was really really surprised by how soft my freakin hair felt it felt insanely soft to the point where I was like literally 180, from how it felt before it brought back moisture. We punished my hair made my hair plump and my hair felt good. Okay, like I actually would have time to recommend this product, so then I actually took a shower. I let the steam from my shower, help the parts penetrate into my strands. If you don't feel like steaming, your hair, you know with the steamer shower steam is always an option and I actually use it more often than you would think so. I did take like a 1520 minute shower and I let the steam you know get all up in through my hair strands and it made my hair even softer. So when I rinsed out the conditioner, my hair felt good and my hair was so soft and what I said they define my curls. I don't really. I don't think that my hair looked any more curly than usual, so I wouldn't really claim that for this exact Nisshin er, but my hair was soft. Moisturized conditioned all of the above. This machine actually I'll be using this for sure on foreshore on a for short, I think so I hopped out of the shower, and I went in with the Brio geo curl, charisma, rice amino and avocado leave-in defining cream. This has water poly, quaternion 37 rice extract hydrolyzed, quinoa, avocado oil, soybean oil, tomato food extract aloe. The list goes on so this product. It was very light, in my opinion, when I put it on my hand. It looked quite the fickle, look, look like whatever, but then, when I put it into my hair, it felt like a nice light. Leave-In. It was not as moisturizing as I'm like or as I'm used to so I end up having to use quite a bit of the leave-in to get my desired level of moisture, but, as you can see, the shine in my hair right now is out of this World so I feel like if your hair is finer than mine or more loosely textured the mind. You probably would like find this to be max moisture, but I'm a moisture junkie. So I like to have me a good, thick, thick gums, buttery leave-in, to provide me with like insane moisture, but I've had my twist in my hair for a good. I want to say three days I think today, cuz it's nighttime right now today was day three. So my hair is moisturize, it's like it's actually insanely moisturized. So I can't really complain about this. It was just lighter than I'm used to once I applied a good amount to the sections. The tangling was literally a breeze, so I would use this like. I would not put this under a gel and go. I would need something buttery and creamy to put on top that's what I did. That'S that's what I did so we're gon na keep on moving. I'M gon na keep on moving, so I went ahead on the rest of my hair. On top of the leave-in, I applied the Chia and flax seed oil custard. I feel like this is really what sets this look off, because definition is there moisture? Is there shine bounce all of it? It'S it's here, so the first four ingredients in here would be water, castor, seed, oil, etc. Alcohol that I wrote, elevates glycerin sorbitan elevates shea butter, a rice extract rice amino acids, and the list goes on and quinoa is supposed to be a thick rich and creamy moisturizing styling that harnesses the conditioning benefits of flaxseed oil, shea butter and the coil nurturing power Of chia seed and rice amino acids, listen, listen. This was balm. This was freaky balm like I, yes, okay, yeah! Yes, yes, yes, yes, actually saw one of my favorite people on the internet, I'm Gloria and she has done quite a few videos using this brand and I'm always like hmm. Her hair is poppin and her hair is similar to mine. So I'm always like no wan na try it. So I was really happy to get this stuff to my house and try it out for y'all, because they're giving us the option they're giving us the black-owned higher-end quality ingredients, options if you're interested in them - and I was interested okay. First of all, this entire line. It smells like linen like fresh linen, and I was here for it because, I'm always you know you always smell the flowers, the berries, the freaking chocolates, the like the food fruity floral scents. So it was, I don't mind them it's fine, but it was nice to have a fresh look. I was I was like sniffing the container. I don't. My hair doesn't really have that same scent right now. It'S kind of like faded away, but the park themselves smell good to me like 404, oh good to me, this line also comes with a gel and I was afraid to pile on leaving the custard plus a joke, because the custard is kind of like a jelly Texture, it's a mixture of a gel and a butter. My texture, in my opinion, I was afraid to add gel on top of it or like risk flaking right. So I actually did my entire hair with just the leave-in and the curl custard quail. Custard. Excuse me. I keep missing it wrong and then I did three twists over here using the gel on top. So this gel is the rice amino and quinoa frizz control gel, and it has no harsh sulfates parabens silicones a very light gel. If you ask me, because I applied it to like three twists right here, if my edges am a little bit actually, I put gel and edge control on my edges like two days ago. So it's just going through a little struggled I'll, go right now and worry about it, but um I put gel on these three twist sections, but it's not looking more defined in my opinion than the rest of my hair. So I don't feel like the gel. You know did much of a difference when paired on top of the other products. I was happy to see that there was no flakes, but it didn't have much more definition on the other side of my hair at all. They really stand out or have a crunch or anything of that nature. My hair itself feels like I used a custard like I used a jelly moisturizing product and I'm feeling like this is gon na last me a couple days. The moisture is there, it's very soft. It'S very defined like bouncy, like I have no complaints with my turnout at all. Before I go, I'm going to hop right in to my hair. Look! Okay, guys! I feel like I've messed it up just now! Oh well! Oh well! So before I go, I'm going to hop right into what would I spend my coins on? I got to do it, you're not gon na. Do it so out of these five products, I would definitely spend my coins on the a conditioner bomb and the coil custard bomb. So we already know when I say I'm going to buy something over and over and over or put my money up, it has to be bomb and those products to me stood out like crazy, but my hair looks amazing, so I really y'all see in the process. You see the results you see were working with. You see that we have all this movement and I am happy, like I'm happy to have a photo shoot tomorrow morning. So I was really putting like all of my trust into Brio Geo. By doing this review before a photo shoot and I'm actually so happy like look at like no bounce shine definition no flakes what else could I ask for let's go ask for it? I don't know.
