Hi, my name is Tracey Balance, celebrity hairstylist and owner of qualify, Tracy darlin today I'll be showing you how to save hair dye. Let me first say that when it comes to hair dye once the two parts of mix, you cannot save it. So you have to do it in the beginning, the first steps. So what you do with boxes of hair dye? It usually comes in two part: one: the developer and two, the color. What you'll do is open up the developer bottle and pour in a little bit of developer. Now you pour it in half and half so they have to be done in equal parts. So equal parts of developer, two equal parts of color. Then you pour in the color, make sure to seal the color back tightly and all you zoom putting on gloves and using a coloring brush is mixed the color in together and use it as necessary. Now, the rest, you store in room temperature back in the box that it came in. I'M Tracy. Thank you for watching, and this is how you save hair dye.

Elizabeth Flachs: I learnt this the hard way.....after dying my hair i kept the leftover dye in the bottle and left if. Hoping i could use it to touch up my roots when i needed to. Well, lucky i opened the bottle up slowly as it started fizzing out and i could literally feel the pressure. I'll be doing as you did in the video next time. Thanks for letting us know.

Gold Blonde: Thank you so much! I never even considered only mixing some of it, not all. What a great idea. Now I can do my front part line every couple weeks and still have some dye leftover for next time. Woo Hoo!

Crystal Jones: LOOOOVE this tip!!...especially with people who only want to touch up roots

iLoveSkinCare: Thanks Tracy! 8 knew you can save the dye yp7 did not use but I think since I opened it and may have left it exposed to air, gray color Wella 050 poured out automatically instead of rhe yellowish color but I mixed it with L'Oreals Oreror creme mixer volume 30 and it's extremely powerful. I sniffed it and WHOO!! It's still strong as day one

Ted MacFarlane: Wow that works because I don't have to waste a whole box of dye just to dye my eyebrows.

Healing Travelers: Straight to the point; excellent...thank you!✨

Velinda Kish: Thank you so much! I'm a newbie at dying and wasn't sure if I could save extra dye and developer! The manufacturer doesn't indicate anything about saving extra dye, and I keep wasting the dye I don't need! So glad I can start saving it!
