Hey guys today is episode. One of the DIY hair made series so today we're making a black rice care mass. So the first thing I'm gon na do is just fill up a saucepan with some water and then you're going to just fill up the bottom of the pan, with some black rice and you're gon na sit it on the stove for or I'm sorry on, high Heat and just let it boil while it's boiling, I just want to tell you guys that this rice is gluten free and the only ingredients is organic black rice, and this is also from Target and I'll link it down below. So this is five minutes later and XML. It'S 10 minutes later after I've had it on high heat and it's boiling. You can see the four minutes. Having is kind of a purplish color, because it's a black rice, so I'm going to just stir it up and I'm going to put a lid on top and then I'm gon na turn it down to a low heat. So now this is seven and ten minutes later and you can see the water's boiling and it's kind of like this foamy boil and when I took the lid off. This is how it's looking the rice should be really soft. That'S what we want. We want the rice to get really soft so that it can blend and mash well, so it can be nice and softer they here. So after that we're going to let the water water let the water boil out, but actually just leave just a little bit. You see here I didn't leave that much, but I think you should have left just a little bit so now you're going to pour your rice into a blender cup. This is to blend the rice to make the condition the hair mask, and then you want to add more water to see here. I should have left my water red. I had to add anymore, so I added in water and now I'm blending in a nutribullet, and if you notice that it's too thick, you want to go ahead and add some more water. If you can don't let too much water boil out, I will be using black rice in a future here. Man, along with another ingredient, so I'll show you guys what I mean by that, but you can see now it looks like I double the hair mass and so I did add a nice amount of water. So now you can see it's very creamy and that's the consistency we want, so I went ahead and put it into my application bottle. However, this is a mistake. I missed one step, which is strange because it did leave specks in my hair, so I'm gon na show you guys what you should have done. So I purchased a nut milk bag, and this is a bag used to strain things like this, and this is some leftover black rice I use after I was done this video, so this is actually speaking to the future, so I'm gon na use the nut milk Bag put it inside of a large container like this, a cylinder container like this, and then I'm going to pour in the rice a mess, and this is the step you would do right after you've blended it. So you will pour it into the bag and then you add some more water to the application bottle. Just to make sure you got everything out of the bottle, so you don't waste any of the hair masks and then you're just going to raise up the bag and squeeze until you don't have anything left and well. Actually, the only thing that should be left is the greens that cannot pass through the fine strainer. So this is a very fine strainer. It'S from Amazon and I'll link this one down below - and it's very watery also because I edit in that extra water water. But if you didn't add in there Shearwater it wouldn't be, this would rebut editing order does help with straining. So you can see these are the greens that are left from the rice that will not pass through the strainer. Then I'm going to pour the hair mask into the application bottle put on the lid and the cap, and this is how you should finish out your hair mix so back to the video. So now I'm going to wash my hair and I'm using one of my favorite shampoos. This one's from Carol's Daughter is linked in the description if you'd like to check it out and it has a nozzle, it's pretty cool to use and I actually cut the bottle, because this was like one of the seconds the last times would be using it. So I just wash my hair, I usually massage my scalp to wash it and my curls are looking so good, so I rinse my shampoo out with warm water over the tub and now I'm getting ready to apply the hair mask anta, see it's this different consistency. Without you straining it it's very fun night range. I don't think I'll have any flakes and I literally make cream it smells so good and you can tell it's creamy. You can tell it's pretty because my curls just months back when I put the treatment on so now we're moving on to a drier part of my hair, and you can tell it's dry because it's not as plump as the other curls and this breaks man. Just it's just smooth and clump my curls so well like I like not like a deep condition. I'Ve used before this was actually very hydrating and moisturizing to me, and it just felt like it was the best in the world. As you guys know, rice contains protein. So it kind of is a protein treatment, but to me having low porosity hair, it felt like this was a protein deep conditioner like it was really soft on my hair and made my hair very soft, despite the the flakes, not the flakes, but like the specks That I got despite those my hair was super soft at the end of this and my curls just clumped so well, the hair was a little heavy, because this mask was very creamy, so it will add weight to your hair, especially if your hair is longer and Also gets the Mel, the rice smell, very good, it didn't have a bad smell like I know, rice water has a bad smell after it's been fermenting, but this rice was in fermenting. We actually just boiled it, so it smelled really good, like ub were eating rice like in the kitchen smell good as well, so I just smooth it on. You can see it's just moving onto my hair and just forming ways and girls like this was really a great hair base and I think it's one of my favorite in this year so you're. The only thing I didn't like. What'S the specs and flakes that I got, but I showed you guys how to get rid of that and I will show you again in a future hair mask video, where I do use black rice with another ingredient. But now I'm done so now. I'M gon na give you guys my final thoughts, all right. Okay, so I just rinsed out the conditioner is my first thing in it. The first thing I noticed is that my hair was basically frizz free but see a lot of greens in my hair, which is not easy to get out, but my hair is full. So if I do this again, I would need to use like a mesh strainer. So that good rings don't get into my hair, but I suggest you guys use a mesh strainer and I mentioned the order one at a minute so that I can use it in the next video every Monday. I'Ll be posting. A DIY chairman check the comments for the playlist to catch up on any of them that you miss thumbs up this video and I'll see you guys all in the next video
