More Info:

- It only takes me about 10 minutes each night to re-twist and five minutes to take down the next day.

- Videos on how I wash and twist my hair are below!

- If I were to work out I would re-twist my hair beforehand and wear a scarf.

- My hair does frizz during the day from heat but with nightly re-twisting I can stretch the style longer.

- The pineapple method doesn't work for me. This is all I do to maintain my styles (including braid outs, three strand twists, and flat twist outs).

Hi guys in today's video I'm showing you all how I maintain my twist outs for up to two weeks. If you would like to see how I achieved my twist outs, I will link the tutorials in the description box below I'm going to put Shea moistures extra virgin coconut oil all over my twists before I begin taking them down normally, when I first take my twists Down I have to go in with a pic to fluff, my hair just so we can shape my face. The way that I like it too, once I'm done with that. This is how my hair looks on day 1. Now, I'm back in it's night time. Still on day 1, this is how my hair looks after I was outside and heat for a little bit. So all I do to maintain my twist outs is re twist in larger sections. I don't read, apply any more product. I don't comb or brush my hair at all. I just resection it in larger sections and begin to twist. Here are the completed larger twists. You can compare them to how many twists I had when I initially did you twist out now. Let'S stay, I'm going to take my twists down without adding any additional products. This is my hair on day three for night two, I did the same steps that I did on night one and I will continue to do those same things which is just retwist. My hair in larger sections, without adding any additional product and without brushing or combing now it is day six and I'm going to take my hair down. It still looks super defined and super moisturized. It is now night six. I wanted to come back and show you all how I am still retwisting my hair in those large sections. As you can see, I've lost a little bit of definition in the back. If you want to, you can always go back in with your product and reapply. It and we twist your hair here, we are on day 8, I'm just going in and taking my hair down and, as you can see, my hair is much fluffier and thicker. I do prefer my older twist outs instead of the newer ones, because I just like the way my hair looks much thicker and fuller. It is now day ten I'm going to go back into that coconut oil and reapply it to my twist before I take my hair down on the final day, which is day 13, I'm going to untwist my hair, I will use a little bit of curl and Shine spray from Shea Moisture just to give my hair a little bit more shine because it is dry as it is on its last leg. At this point I'll see you guys in my next video don't forget to subscribe and thanks so much for watching

Ronitia Henry: I love this. Never thought to retwist because I’m lazy, but if I do large sections maybe it won’t be so bad! My twist outs never last more than a few days, but that’s mostly because I play with my hair too much!

DrenaDream: Thankkk you cuz that “pineapple” used to have me waking up looking stupid the next morning lol. I would instead retwist the same little parts I can’t wait to try bigger parts for day 2 and on!

Sadie: This method has saved my twist outs! Usually it’s like 1 or 2 day max and it’s frizzy and a mess. But I’m on day 3 and it still has definition. Thanks girl!

Cee Jay: Love this! Best advice I’ve seen so far on maintaining a twist out! I think I could do this everyday and be happy until my hair gets to my desired length! Thank you for sharing ✨

Amanda Franklin: I usually would just sleep on my twist out. I tried this method and it REALLY works! Great video !

Vegan Girl Tierra: Omg I didn’t know I was suppose to re-twist my hair every night!!!! Thank you so much for your video!! I will be re-twisting my hair tonight. Thank you.

Adriene Moore: This is so nice to see. I have 4c hair as well and personally, my definition will not last if I just pineapple or sleep with a bonnet. I was feeling like something was wrong because mine wouldn’t last overbite and I thought the extra manipulation of retwisting at night was “bad”. But you made yours last 2 weeks. I’ll try that. I’ve only ever lasted 1

poison_ivy: I'm so glad I found your channel. My hair has been natural over a year and I've yet to wear it out in a natural style. I'm not going to lie, I have a slight anxiety attack thinking about retwisting my own hair nightly because I've been going to a licensed professional since I was 12, so I have no relationship with my hair. But I'm going to try this week since I'm off.

Jessica Beee 9:23: *GIRL! THIS was AWESOME!! After a year of being natural, I finally achieved a successful twist out but had no idea how to wrap it at night. I even thought about sleeping pretty but now I don't have to*

Edmeeka Hicks: Thank you so much for doing this I struggled with maintaining my twist out pass day 2

mrsmc2612: This is amazing ! I love this. I finally found my perfect 4c girl!! Thanks so much!! This is gorgeous and easy. You made it simple but the results are amazing

Shuron Johnson: I will keep this in mind! I do tiny little twist on wash day for my twist out and wear them until I’m ready to take them out. The pieces are so small they look better as they frizz out so I can wear it for weeks without retwisting at all. I use pure oil to fluff the curls in the morning! Thanks for your video. Us naturalists need all the techniques we can try!

Lauren Treadaway: I’m definitely trying this! It was super helpful I literally used to have to do my full twist out every night bc it would just look too crusty and dusty in the morning. Thank you so much! Keep it up

Tenneh Lissa: This is my favorite method for preserving a twist out

Kim Ban: Girrrrrrrrl! Thank you sooo much! I absolutely love your method, simple & easy. You’re hair type is like mine so I tried it & my twist out is popping! It’s actually worth twisting my hair out every night! Much love!!!

Kathy MahoneStreet: Thanks for the video! I have 4abc hair! I pretty much retwist my hair every night as well if I want my twist out to last for 3 weeks. I do mine in twelve big sections. I use CR cream gel. When I was relaxed I had to wrap my hair every night. So I don’t feel it is to much work.

Idreamofjazzz: I just took my braids out & washed my hair today. I have twists in at this moment for tomorrow’s bomb twist out lol this video came just on time.

Day One Shemuyl: Sister, I'm watching this for my baby girl, but after the FIRST 16 seconds of the video, I just HAD to tell you how much I love your beautiful, thick, strong, amazing, Goddess hair, with and without style. Absolutely beautiful. Black Power.

Nesha Jones: Omg can’t believe I’m just now stumbling over this video! I have the hardest time maintaining a twistout especially in Alabama heat! Thank you! New subscriber

Just-Nesha: Finally hair I can relate too 4C

earlene champ: Thank you!! I tend to two stand twist, keep it twisted for two weeks, only to unravel, wash and twist again! Never did a twist out. This video has given me that option. Thank you again

Camila Nkwenti: So proud of you for doing this video...I used to think these other utube girls were magicians!!!!... Girl your have no idea what you released me from. Plus I used to think I had to wash my hair every week. But nope. Ain't doing that no more unless it's itchy. So here I come with my two weeks twists...

Tina Billingsley: Beautiful! Thanks for the tutorial!

Deborah Tyner: Thank you for sharing, I was just tying my hair up without braiding it, and so frustrated that it wasn't keeping. I'll start doing the large braids like that at night to have better results. Your hair looks really nice. Thanks again.

Sha 'mazing: Yesss this is exactly what I was looking for! Thank you lol I’m excited now

BrokeGirl Magic: Thank you!!!! I tried this and it worked. On my 4 or 5th day I got so much attention from people of all races and ages about how pretty I am. I know it was because that twistout had got big and I've been doing aloe treatments that had it bouncing and shining

Camerson: Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for this video!

Lady T 43: Seems like it got better and better

Michele_Live And In Color: I looks even better as each day went by! Love it!

Iesha Carthen: Omg! The retwist method works! I am on day 4 and my hair is poppin! Thanks for this video!

Fisiwe Magwaza: Giiiiiiirl! Am close to tears huh!? Nobody knows how sad it is to lose definition like silly from day 2. You are boss

Shalonda Smith: Absolutely love it!!! We have the same exact hair texture

rockshock06: The best twist out hack in life ✨✨

Mary Jaber Nyiri: Thanks so much girl, for making this video this will save busy moms like me

chanel Joyner: Changed my life, lucky to have found this. Walking to with natural hair has been limiting me but this has helped out a lot. Thank you!

Kathy MahoneStreet: Your hair looks great, I maintain my twist out the same way.

Vashti Knight: this was insane !!! I literally said wow everytime I saw the next day result!

kdreama: I ain't got time to retwist every night I miss my twist out days tho lol

Sherri Bryant: Thanks so much for sharing this wonderful video. You are finally the first ut Uber I found that validated the way I feel. Everybody says don’t manipulate your hair so much but it my hair isn’t twisted and kept stretched over night it will be a tangled mess. I’m so happy I found your channel.

Shawnny Collins: Thank you so much for this video. It was much needed!!

Ashley Elizabeth: So helpful, thanks so much!

Kimberly Townsend: Thank you so much. This video has helped me out tremendously. I am a 2 month natural newbie. Needless to say i am very frustrated. But I will stay the course as I love my hair. I just haven't gotten used to the process. And...there are so many product recommendations. Overwhelming to say the least.

Quston Gelzer: By the end of the day I just don't have the energy, patience, motivation, desire, etc to twist my hair again lol. I need to do better.

reallyme02: The evolution of a twist out, very nice. I have to retwist every night as well!!

iam Jamela: This is beautiful!

meya Shavers: I love love love your video I've tried your method an it works wonders for my twist out. Thank you☺☺☺

Natisa Williams: Thank you I get so frustrated with my hair and I needed to see this to get motivated

TheOfficialBiancaMedia: I now know the trick. Retwisting in larger sections!!!! So helpful.

DTrainsWife01: Thank you queen! You and your hair are gorgeous!

Ren: Finally hair that I can relate to! At any point do you have to comb or brush your hair in order to keep it from locking? Or is that potential problem pretty much solved by retwisting and finger detangling every day?

AmazingDanis: This was so helpful!!!

ABM Gang Kaedan: love your hair. you make that look super easy.

Aurélie: Hi, thank you for the video, could this be considered as a low manipulation/protective style?

SagittariusVibez: I am trying this method tonight. I hope I have the same results

tj Tanner: I want to be able to get to this stage so bad!

"Art...Skill...or Submission?": AWESOME JOB!!! I love it!!!

Angela Goodbar: Thank You!!!! I'm new to the natural hair journey. I need all the help I can get. Appreciate you much.

arieithe: Yes!!!!! This is the video and texture I've been waiting for!!!!

Kay Seminomadic: I just leave my hair alone and I sleep on it as is. It lasts for a week. However, I keep my hair in mini twists for weeks before I unravel them in a twist out.

c00ki3m0nst3r69: I appreciate this video SO much ✨

Esme Harewood: Thank you so much. I tried it and it works!

Stacie Roberson Mason: Absolutely worked for me

tj Tanner: I need to try this! Gorg, 4C represent!

Elias n.: your hair kept getting better each day!!! i genuinely never thought to do this lol thank you

D K: TFS queen I do same thing, but I braid when redoing hair.

The Boss Up Academy: It works but then there’s still sort of a negative . Protective styling . If you have to retest every night that defeats the purpose of low manipulation. As we know with natural hair too much manipulation can cause beak far too. This may or may not be good for diff hair types . I’d suggest doing them even chunkier if your hair isn’t strong enough to handle the manipulation

Maygan Beckles: Oh thank you.  I'm going to try this method because my twist outs look great on the first day but once I go to sleep it looks like crap the next day and those mini pineapples don't work for me.  This looks like this will be a better method for my 4C hair type.

Soulful Sheena: TFS! I loved every single pair of earrings you were wearing!

Reggie Street: Thanks for doing this video. So many show what wash day is like. But never show how to keep your hair for the rest of the week,

Cheryl Hampton: Absolutely, the older the better and Shea Moisture products have definitely strengthen, healed my eczema and has grown my hair in the last 2yrs, your hair is Gorgeous

Solely Reviews by Tisha Starr: First of all, your hair is gorgeous! 2nd, my hair could never. Day one don’t even look nice as yours. Great video

Deborah Russell: your hair have grown a lot and is healthy. Love your videos.

Princess Milk Chocolate: Hi there! Do you still use the hair steamer regularly? If so, would you say It's good for 4c hair or no... ? I'm like a middle to low porosity...

Shenique E: Sis you are my actual hair twin☺️

Eunice Kayode: Does not applying any product also entail not moisturizing throughout the 13days? If I sprit my hair after two days while the twist is in bigger section will it affect the definition?

Adaeze Njoku: How long does the retwist take? Hopefully about 10 minutes

Jasmine Johnson: By this time my hair needs a good washing, I can’t go two weeks without washing my hair.

BloodMoneyHistory: This is super smart, thank you so much!!

Bre C: Ohhhh m gee!!! I think I’ve finally found someone who legiittttt has my exact hair type!!! Eeepppp!!!! You rock chica!!! Off to watch the entire catalogue!!

bleeka325: I didn't know people didn't retwist their hair at night

YVNGK1ngSAvag3: I did this method and it worked for 2 days but then my hair stopped stretching and it became less curly

MinnieLitty: Oh wow. Okay! Doing this now. So, you applied no oils or anything? I’ll play it by ear. Thank you so much!

Naomi Naomi: I know this has been 3 years ago but did you loose ALot of hair due to no products for several days and did your hair dry out? I'm trying a new method. Thanks

I Am Sharon: This method does not work for me. I retwist every night, too. The most I can get out of my twist-out is 4 days. Just proof not everything works for everyone. Nice video - thanks for sharing

k: "no additional products" my hair damage from bleach said no <3

Marquise Hunter: I never thought about this genius idea !!

keiya Mcmorris: Just what I needed to see as I have a twist out now and don't want to apply took much product

Dream Queen: You are a time savor with this video i waste a ton of time doing twist outs for them to only look good one day
