One complaint that I’ve seen often is that fenugreek powder tends to get stuck in our natural, type 4 hair.  The grains are often coarsely milled and when used to create a mask or a gloss, they tend to get trapped within our strands.  However, did you know that it’s possible to mix fenugreek powder so that it doesn’t leave grit in your type 4 hair?  My solution?  Making hydrated fenugreek paste.

I've learned this method from YouTuber Bellezza Consapevole by Rozalia: https://youtu.be/qlN18cCiVDE

Is fenugreek part of your hair care regimen? Comment below with some of the ways that you've incorporated it into your routine.

Hi guys and welcome back to from 84z this year, i've been undertaking an ayurvedic journey with wonderful results head on over to instagram to follow my progress. Did you know that it's possible to mix fenugreek powder so that it doesn't leave grit in your hair hydrating? Your fenugreek first is the way to solve this problem. I learned this technique from another youtuber and it's made a huge difference to my ayurvedic formulations to start you'll need one tablespoon of fenugreek powder. You'Ll also need one cup to one and a quarter. Cups of hot water you'll be adding small amounts of hot water. At a time to the fenugreek powder, the goal is to slowly hydrate the fenugreek over time as the fenugreek becomes hydrated, it will start to release messy lodge and the mixture will start to swell. So, as you add, hot water mix thoroughly with a spoon every so often you can use a stick blender to help break up some of the lumps. This is key because you want your end result to be nice and smooth. Fenugreek is a wonderful herb for reducing, shedding and dandruff. It'S also believed to promote hair growth and prevent premature grain. This paste makes a great base for ayurvedic masks where fenugreek is required. This paste also mixes well with other herbs such as amla bring raj, brahmi and hibiscus, as well as other natural ingredients such as banana and avocado in between stirring and blending. It'S a good idea to leave your mix to rest for a few minutes at a time. This will allow your fenugreek powder some time to absorb the existing water and to release more messy lodge after your fenugreek has rested. You can start the process of adding more water and stirring by the time you finish, adding all of your water. Your mixture shouldn't be thick or lumpy. Instead, your mixture should be quite smooth and creamy at this point, you're ready to wrap the mix and let it rest on the counter for up to 12 hours. The next day, your fenugreek paste is hydrated and ready to use. The beauty of this paste is that it can easily be stored in the freezer. For later, use is fenugreek part of your hair care, regimen comment below with some of the ways that you've included it in your routine. TheJules315: Awesome video! I want to try this method as a mask or gloss, but I'm so curious...have you incorporated it as a leave-in or in your daily maintenance routine?

popcornxxx: I do a version of this with the fenugreek seeds. I put one-half tablespoon of fenugreek seeds in one cup of aloe vera juice and let it sit for two days. Afterward, I dump it all in my Vitamix (or high-performance blender)and blend it until it's creamy - adding more aloe juice as needed to get the right consistency. The longer you blend the smoother and creamier it becomes. I then add some oil (usually olive oil). An essential oil can also be added.

thehotness32: I use fenugreek and oil for a pre poo, fenugreek and hibiscus tea spray daily. Fenugreek is an all around wonderful herb
