Stretched + Defined Twist Out On 4C/4B Hair | My Signature Twist Out W/ Melanin Hair Care

Hey guys welcome back to my Channel today, I'm going to be showing you how I achieved this super stretched super defined twist out on my 4b 4c hair. So if you want to see how I achieve my signature twist out then keep on watching. So, first and foremost, I always do my twist outs the day after wash day, so I am starting on hair that is clean. Its moisturized and I've also added oil to seal in the moisture and it is completely dry. So I have my hair in 12 chunky twists and I'm gon na take some water and some Elenin haircare styling cream to style my twists. So I take out each twist and kind of work in sections that way, so I essentially spritz some water on that section and really just work that in making sure that it gets into all my strands. I do have low porosity hair, so I do have to work in water to my hair, because, if not it'll just kind of sit on top, then I take about a dime sized amount of melanin hair care and I apply that to a smaller section and I'm Gon na make my twist and then I essentially just twist my hair once I get about halfway down, I will add a little bit more just to make sure that my ends are nice and moisturized, and I just twist all the way down. I don't necessarily have a unique sort of twisting method. I do definitely make sure that I smooth my hair as I go down, but other than that I don't really twist in any sort of special way. But again you do want to make sure that your hair is dry, because this is how your hair will stay stretched and your twist won't shrink back up, and then I just do that over my entire head, but also every time I see you can see my Twisting method here I'm smoothing and then twisting smoothing and then twisting smoothing and then twisting down and that's kind of how I make sure that my hair is nice and elongated as its getting twisted. So this part is super important to ensure that your twists stay nice and stretched. I just take a clamp or like a giant clip when I'm done with each section and I'll pull my twists all the way down, and then I will clamp them down and that really helps to keep my hair stretched as it dries with the twisting gel of The twisting cream of the twisting butter in my hair, so this step, really really really helps your hair stay nice and stretched and elongated because as its drying, its drying down in that stretched state as opposed to sort of shrinking back up. So when I'm done twisting my hair, this is what I what it looks like. You definitely want to make sure you have a lot of twists in your head, because the more twists you have the more defined your hair is going to be. So I have a total of 62 twists in my entire head 31 on each side. Alright, so this is the next morning I just take some of my DIY hair growth oil and put some in my hands and put that all over my hair to provide some slip, as I take the twists out so that you I'm able to keep the definition And there's not a whole lot of friction. So when it's time to start taking the twists out I'll, go ahead and put my twist into two scrunchies, this just helps me to ensure that I don't miss taking out any twists. I kind of twist them in the opposite way that they were originally twisted and then put my finger through the top of the twist and then take the twists out from the top or the root all the way down to the bottom. And you can see that your girl has a good bit of definition and just look at look at how clean and define my hair looks like. But I'm going in haircare and I need to order about 50, more jars. That stuff works so well and also because my hair was dry. That is what helped give it a lot of definition as well. So this is what my hair looks like when all of my twists are taken down and just giving you a one more shot of that definition, because I just really I just couldn't get enough of it. Now I'm gon na go ahead and separate. I don't do a whole lot of separation just because it's gon na get bigger throughout the week, and I do have a video with my top tips for taking your twists out down to have a super bomb super divine twist out, and it goes way more into Detail so I'll leave that in the cards, as well as the description box, all right, so once I am done taking my twist out and separating them, I do like to style my twist outs and first, I like to put these little sort of mini Sufi. Swoops is what I call him in my hair and it's basically just where the part is in the front of my hair, taking some edge control and just like creating like a mini swoop. You know like when we were in middle school and we used to do like the big swoop, the Aaliyah swoops over our foreheads, it's kind of like that, but not over your forehead and it's like a super tiny swoop. So I just like put some edge control on that brush it down and then put like a little clip on there to make it stay and then I'll cover the clip with my hair. So it's kind of, like you know a little middle school high school swoop, but not really a swoop. But you know it's just real slick and it helps to shape my hair. So once I'm done doing that, then I'll go ahead and pick out my roots. To add some volume and yeah honestly, that's kind of it. I just keep on picking and picking and picking some more and you know I just continue to sort of shape it separate it where it still needs to be separated and yeah. That'S honestly pretty much it. That is how I achieve my stretched super defined twist out on my 4b 4c hair. So, as you can see, my hair is poppin its defined its stretched. It has body like she is she's, just beautiful.
