All right, hey, you guys, welcome to my channel so today, i'm just going to show you how i do my mini braids. It'S been a minute. I think the last time i've done my mini braids was like last october so and i just need a good break. Um for this memorial day weekend and a few weeks after that, so my hair's been freshly washed. You guys. It'S been almost 30 days since my last wash in my last wash. If you haven't checked out that video. That was when i did the wrestle clay mask, which i absolutely loved i raved about it. My hair came out this wash so incredibly soft again and i think it's because of that clay mask you guys. So i will put the link to that video right here. At the top and, of course down below in the description box for you, but make sure you check that out, my hair was so easy to detangle. It felt good. I also used to deep condition. I used the cpr mask from tgin that mask. I forgot. I had it, but i also forgot just how great it is, so i will put that down below as well and then i'm just using my new favorite tool, which is my handleless blow dryer blow dry, my hair straight for these braids for these mini braids. You don't have to add heat to this protective style. You don't have to add heat to do your mini, braids or mini twists, but i wanted to because i wanted the length of them and they actually last a bit longer for me. Whenever i go ahead and blow dry and stretch my hair, so that's what i'm doing here just on low heat. If you have not picked up this dryer yet make sure you pick it up, you guys it is my absolute favorite dryer right now, if you're still using the revlon paddle brush dryer, it's time to ditch it and pick this one up all right, y'all so just Finished blow drying and i'm trying to figure out exactly how small i want to go um. I think i'm gon na do like my braid and twist the rest. I don't want this to take all day, so products really quickly and then i'm gon na go back to shutting up and let this be a relaxing video. But i just got this new edge control from amazon and it's called the goyful gopul non-greasy natural finish: non-sticky strawberry scent. It does smell good, but it looks like this. You guys it does actually smell good. I used a little here, i'm like i'm nervous to actually use it on my braid braids like when i'm actually braiding, because i don't know if it's going to like leave a white cast or not, and i haven't tried it so rule of thumb. I'M never trying any new products when i'm actually doing a style. That'S going to stay in my head, so i've got my black panther edge control that i always use and i'm going to grab my gummy hair gel and i'm just going to do it that way. I'Ve been doing it for forever now, and then i have some moisturizer, i'm just going to use my tgin daily butter, moisturizing cream, just gon na use a smidge of that throughout my hair, and that's it you guys, i don't think i'm gon na do my braids Too small, though um we leave tomorrow, isaiah - and i i just isaiah and i are headed to um dallas for my nephew's birthday party, his fifth birthday - and it just happens. The following memorial day weekend. Darren'S staying here he's not going um, so we'll be gone for just a few days. Well, we're leaving friday, then we'll be back on tuesday, so yeah, i'm just gon na i'm just gon na start all right, y'all, so y'all know the drill. By now, we're just gon na do this in sections, but i wanted to mention this really quickly, because it's something i forget to tell you guys, i'm doing kind of like an off center part, because i've been parting, my head in the middle, so much literally for The past, like three or four months and i'm starting to notice like that permanent part and it's starting to get a little spacey right there in the middle, so i'm just doing the off center, so keep track of that. That is a good way to tell when you need to switch up your parts when your hair is start and already have low density, um, fine hair. So that is a like. I have to pay attention to that. So if you are the same as me, make sure you're switching up your parts consistently do, as i say, not as i do, because clearly i ain't been doing it so anyways, you guys just gon na part and start from the back um, i'm going to be Using my like a couple different um gels with braiding my hair, i'm using my black panther gel i'm using my gummy gel, and i actually used that gel that i just mentioned previously, and it did not give me a white cast. It does not hold on your edges, though, so if you have edges like mine that have a mind of their own, that's not for your edges boot, but it did really well for my braid, so just letting y'all know i did mix it up today and i'm Actually gon na do different, braids, um sort of kind of so i do a mixture of like i'll braid, for instance like this one in particular, i braided about two inches down, and then i twisted the rest, maybe the next row that i do right above it. I will just like braid, maybe halfway down then i'll twist, the rest and then maybe the row before that one i'll do a couple of just twisting no braiding at the base um. So i do mix it up and i feel like it just looks better when it's mixed up and it holds better because some of them end up getting. You know getting a little bit thicker than others, and it gives me a little bit more volume over time and i still get to keep the length as well. I just feel like mixing it up, just works for me, so if you haven't tried doing it this way, try it try it out and see what you think. Don'T just braid it all the way down or don't just twist it all the way down. It still gives you a really long lasting result as well. I also like to braid the base too, because it holds my hair a lot longer. It keeps it nice and flat and it actually keeps my parts as they're, not even the best, but it keeps them. Looking as neat as possible too so, if you also haven't tried braiding your base, try it out and let me know what you think so, i'm about to toot my own horn, oh real, quick, because my hairline is doing fantastic. You guys i've taken a really big break from wigs and just pulling on it and just messing with it all that good stuff, because i did notice some thinning and my hairline isn't even thick to begin with um, but look at it. It is nice and full to me, i'm not getting that many um like gaps. I was so happy to see this and what i'm doing is working and what i'm doing is basically just living it along leaving it alone and being as gentle as possible and making sure it stays. Moisturized is key, you guys it helps so much to just you know, just leave crap alone. Sometimes that's all you got to do so. That'S what i've been doing. Don'T get me wrong. It is fun to do all the designs and all that kind of stuff, but honestly the more i'm on social media. The more i see, videos of these edges and all that kind of stuff. I get it. It'S creative, it's artistic! You want to do something fun with your hair, but these edges, starting to look like more like you know not like like it looks like bangs you guys, because hair your hair you're just pulling out your hair you're, breaking it off you're, pulling it out when you're Consistently messing with it, if you want to have fun on your hairline every once in a while, do it it's not going to hurt every once in a while when you've got something going on or you just want to do a fun design. Just switch up your edges a bit but consistently consistent, you know pulling on them, tugging on them, swooping, brushes and combs, and all that kind of stuff product it can wear on your hairline um trust me: i've been there. I'Ve done it um. I i've experienced it. So just kind of helping y'all out give me all a few tips here and there um so yeah. So i'm just gon na keep braiding up my hair and then clearly i am absolutely sick of doing my hair. You guys i was like ugh once you get started on like the side. You can't go back, there's no going back after that. You just you just in the trenches. You know what i mean all right, you guys so my braids are finished. I get. I did all of this in one day, this is actually the next day, so we are actually headed to the airport. After i finish this, so i am going to lay my edges down only using my blue legume jam right here. Typically, i will go in with my gummy edge control that i have right here or black panther or whatever. It is and do a little bit of both, but since i'm out and about running around not going to be in dallas till like super late tonight, i want my edges to stay. I'M just gon na go in with my blue lagoon. Trust me on this, but you do not need a lot. Also for my fine head, girls rock your braids rock, your mini twists, they don't have. No. Our hair is not as full it's not as thick and luscious or whatever you want to call it, but don't be scared, don't be timid, um to rock your hair. You guys see me rocking my braids, my mini twists and stuff, and they look stringy and i don't care. I don't care, because my hair is super healthy. It'S growing, it's thriving and i absolutely love this style. So if you have a low density like myself, low density, fine, hair, um type 4b 4c hair, like i do check out my videos, i will probably put one right here and then down below in the description box, they're not too far back either, but just tips That i have for you guys on hair growth, just maintaining your hair and all that good stuff, because i've come pretty far. I'M just gon na admit. I'M come pretty far and i'm doing pretty well with my hair, so um, i'm actually just gon na add a little bit of water. That'S what you see me doing right here and a little bit of my design essentials custard on the ends, because i was like. Oh man, i want a little bit more curl, but i ended up. You know braiding and twisting too far down. So that's all i'm doing here you guys and then i'm just going to pop my hair in a ponytail. I will probably keep these in, for i don't know how long as long as i possibly can, but for a few weeks keep in mind, you can do your regular hair care routine. You can go swimming with these. You can wash your hair, you can still moisturize deep condition, all that good stuff, you guys with this style, it's just such the perfect summer style and the perfect protective style as long as you're. Actually, you know still maintaining your hair, so that is it. You guys make sure you check the description box for all the details, products all that good stuff. Thank you guys so so much for watching and yeah. I will talk to you guys in my next one bye. You

Phoene Oware: I have low density hair and love mini braids, but struggle with feeling confident with the 'scalpy' look. Thanks for doing this. Definitely a confidence boost.

Sharee Minor: Mini braids are tough when your hair is long. The take down is a nightmare

Princess: I tried mini braids for the first time because of you. I haven’t had the courage to wear them outside without a hat I’m really working on being more confident in my natural hair and seeing you do it just makes me feel so inspired. Thank you ❤️❤️

Mocha Fleur: I wear this hairstyle or twist under my hijab. It definitely has helped with length retention. I moisturize, deep condition, and trim my hair while they in braids. I take them down maybe after 2 months

shay b: Love doing this and let me also say.. Washing while the hair is in mini braids is a BREEZE! Definitely a nice break from the chao of detangling especially if you have fine, low porosity hair! Iykyk!

Philly Jawn Lolo: It's definitely important to switch up the parts. I just did my retie with a center part, to give my preferred side part a break. I don't particularly like middle parts, but it is necessary..

xoxox0011: Sounds weird but I love the scalpy look lol It makes it look more natural to me and neat. Your hair looks beautiful as always ☺️

YalaRosaé: Beautiful style but this would def just become locs for me tbh at that size and if I kept them longer than two weeks haha. This is actually one of the ways people used to start them back in the days in the Caribbean.

Shanika Corb: I just did mini braids in my hair as well at the start of the month. love it. Such a good way to get a break. Love the video .❤

Shaquante Williams: You're hair is sooo beautiful and loveee that you do not care how your hair looks in comparison to someone with high density head of hair. That is your hair!! And I just love it! I need to do a set of mini braids/twists soon!

Lakesha Todd: Omg having low density hair has been ruuuuffff for me. I love to see you embracing yours! Very inspiring

Keesha Williams: I used to do my hair like this, but I dreaded taking them out. They look nice on you. Also, I love your videos, very relaxing.

AugustLady77: I love it! You definitely inspired me to do mini braids instead of my regular mini twists last year.

Heaven Green: Pretty much wore mini braids for all of 2021 and my hair grew so much. I’d redo them every 4-6 weeks, no blowout. I wish I heard “just leave it alone”, about my hair, sooner! So much length retention. I also use a leave in cream and spray then lock it in with bees wax, love my Murray’s

Jessica Paris: love it i have tha same hair type...almost exactly. same length & erthang. I did mini braids like a week ago. 1st week they was lookin a lil thin & scalpy lol but they thickening up now and I love em! this my go-to cuz I aint tryna fool wit my hair at all this summer!

Star Cherry: Once I my hair got long I couldn’t want to do mini braids!! They last so much longer than the twist and stay much neater!

Kendra: I absolutely love this style! I've done it for vacation as well and it's perfect and no fuss!

Rit Adraille: I did mini braids once and never did them again ! The take down was time consuming and I’m pretty sure I pulled my hair out trying to take them down

Mia Katharine Myers: And this how I do my hair for the winter in Canada. This style grew my hair back long and healthy after it was badly damaged, and now I do it every year.

MOE Better TV: I have this same style in my hair! It’s been a week and I love a “lived in” look

CrazyNaturalPrincess: Absolutely loove it!!! Your hair is so healthy, thick & long! ❤️❤️❤️

Leila TOSSOU: O my Gosh, I love your channel! I can't stop binge watching your videos. I started my braidlocs journey because of your first mini braids video! I just left my mini braids in because I loved the way they looked and I was tired of relying on wigs and weaves. I wanted to grow my own hair with natural protective styles while still rocking wigs on special occasions!

kmariamv: To me this is the look of knotless braids without the extension. I love it!

Raconte-moi Alice: Omg you’re my hair twin: fine 4b hair. It gives me hope, I’m trying to achieve some real length like you. I’m subscribing

curvyvirgo83: I love it! I'm relaxed, but I love your videos and watch them all the time. Simple yet classy. Like you said, rock your hair. It's yours! Thanks for always showing us cute and easy protective styles I use them for my workouts.

ForbsieLaLa: My hairdresser dries my hair on low heat and I like that. We aim to dry and stretch out a little but not straighten the hair too much. This protects the hair more and reduces likelihood of heat damage. I am glad you mentioned that edges styling because a lot of people don't realize they damage edges doing that. I never touch mine because my edges are from a different planet and never cooperate.

Brittney Davis: If you dont want the straggly plait look, skip the blow dryer. Just let it air dry in big plaits for an hour or 2 and go straight to plaiting.

Michelle Rodgers: i install like.....i dunno 250-350 of these in my hair and wear for 2-4 weeks (braid the root and then twist)...game changer and its soooo pretty! i mist with water at the end then blow dry so my ends curl and they plump up a tad. you can really see how your hair has grown and become thicker over the years. <3

GEM Academy: Lovely. I use to always braid my own natural hair and I plan on doing so this summer

Peace Jewel: My Favorite warm/hot weather style! Our hair is so amazing! My density is actually medium/high and my fine strands still compact like yours in braids. but that length! Enjoy the trip to see the family! Much ❤❤❤ and safe travels

MiVidaBellisima: Not me thinking this was going to be a regular mini braids tutorial smh I should have known you would be dropping gems! The tip about braiding the roots and mixing it up, I will definitely try that! I have waist length high density hair and literally anything to cut down the install time I’m here for it

Kenya Denise: I can’t wait to try this out! I def have fine low density hair too. Can you share a wash day routine with these in?

Fasting My Way to Jenn: Your hair came out great. I love mini twists and braids. They are easy to maintain.

Syd Bey: We should make it a rule to do our hair like this and keep it this way until your int between time hits.

Doreen Yiga: i have had locs for 11 years but my hair type is just like yours loved watching your video❤ your hair is beautiful

Donna Stapleton: i just braided my whole head for the first time ever & no it was not as good profess & perfected as this! wow! u go girl! i was pretty amazed too, by ur length\shrinkage

Sapphire Truthe: This is so cute and creative!! I'm gonna try it!

Fine Natural Hair ROCKS: This is gorgeous! How do you take them down though, without breakage? I'd love to do this on my fine natural hair but I'm soo afraid of breakage!

Jeannine B: I envy your hair so much. It's so beautiful and the recoil is so amazing. I hope my hair gets like this at some point.

Alias: I’m wearing this style right nowww - add beads for extra swing , I’m getting compliments left and right

NeliaBedilia: low density hair is still amazing thanks for this reminder!

Melissa Ambassador For Christ: Love it I definitely will be trying this style on my hair thanks for sharing.

Sydney Geddes: I have 3C/4A hair and I’m petrified of doing these because my hair is thick and big in wash and goes and then super thin and stringy in twist and braids it’s so depressing. So hopefully one day I get over it and do this

Deanna love: Yes yes yes... I did the same thing around two months ago talk about comfortable style . My hair has been twisted for almost two months. Going to take them down condition my hair and retwist for another two months . If you live in FL you get it.

Tongele Cooper: You inspired me to try this on my natural hair.

Mo M-C: Very good advice!! Give your follicles A BREAK‼️

Shá Johnson: I've been thinking about doing mini twists, this vid was right on time.

D’Aviana Harris: I’ve been wanting to do this hairstyle for a whileeeee but didn’t think I would be confident in it or like wearing it without a hat so when ur video popped up on my feed I think that’s the universe sending me a sign to just say fuck it and do it! looks so good on u!

BanjoeFlair: Thoroughly enjoyed watching your video. I could never put in mini braids…#lazynatural. You look gorgeous. Thanks for sharing

Andrea V. Bello: This is my favorite hairstyle, i do it a lot, specially in winter or when im in crisis and want to shave my head

Tameka L: what I need is her skin care routine. It’s so smooth and even.

Basic Makeup Muva: I do this style for my girls every summer

Trish: looks pretty! love it!!

Cam G: Been using that blow dryer for YEARS. I love it, but it only last about a year or 2 depending on how often you blow dry. I keep buying it though lol

Chisom Anyanwu: I went natural because I wanted a thick 4c fro. Yeah I played myself lol. I love my natural hair, but wish it was a lot denser. These are cute, sadly I have no patience. I'll stick to twists

gr8cious1: I love it! I have fine, low to medium density hair too so I understand.

Valencia Robinson: Because of your other videos like this I decided to wear my hair like this. My hair is fine and thin so my twists look stringy but you help me to love it!

Candice Famber: How do you minimize frizz with these? I have mini braids a shot and I was asked a few times if I was starting locs

Jewels Jewels: Yaasss I said I was going to do this today!!! It im in desperate need of a break. They look beautiful

🌻Sunshine🌻: I've tried this style on my 4a/4b hair and my mini braids stayed moisturised and neat BUT my roots became really frizzy, specially after washing them. I don't know what to do since I literally can't avoid wash day and I had to redo the braids often or wear headwraps to hide the mess

Jekemea Hargraves: Very cute. Love this style

ItsRashard: My middle part has SO MANY “fly-aways” and I figured that i needed to start switching up my part.

Just Joia: Funny because I was just saying to my sister I was going to do either braids or twist too. I just did a crochet style you did in the fall 2 weeks ago and now it's time to take them out. Safe travels friend.

Jeralyn Langford: Can you do a video on your wash day routine with this style? I’m always so hesitant and afraid my hair will frizz or unravel.

Gumbo Gumbo: wow your hair came out so nice! Thanks for posting....:)

Player456: I'm the complete opposite I have super thick and dense hair. If I do mini braids I'll end up with hundreds of them I'll still do them.. They just look shabby, the parts barely defined. I actually like the scalp look you got. Seems carefree but neat

Miss G: This is one style I'll probably never do - just thinking of the takedown gives me anxiety lol.

Ramoya Richardson: I love that blow dryer it got burned after 3 years, I got another one with a handle and its so difficult to use. Love the mini braids but can't do them that small.

Let's talk: New sub here, this is the first video I've watched. I love it

Mia Katharine Myers: Holy crap, your hair grew so much!

vegansimone: hi! you said 4b/4c can wear this style and do everything (swimming, etc) but will your hair shrink or will it stay stretched when exposed to humidity, moisture, etc?

Renee NO: They look lovely❤️❤️

Sandra Evadne: Any recommendations for type 3a/3b hair on mini twist and braids? My hair doesn’t hold the twist for long at all.

Talia: I love how you don’t have an intro just get straight into it I wished all youtubers knew how much we don’t care bout intro

Miss Kyra: This style is so cute but the take down is not worth it too me

Hlengiwe Nkosi: Absolutely beautiful

Mercy Agorh: How long do you keep them in for

hotbluflame2: So cute! But I would have to take them down at week 3 or else I’d have locs.

Asia Mmkay: That beautiful healthy hair

Rodgers: Been doing this since I was a kid Nothing changed

BubblePurpleCat: What products do you use for your blowouts?

Trin Juwan: Your hair is always beautiful

Lady Rose: Looks good on you!

VibrantImpulse: Finally someone with hair like mine.

Alex B: What are the full ingredients for that edge control? I can not locate the ingredient list anywhere and it’s not posted on the amazon store?

cassie campbell: This is gorgeous ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️xxxxx

Faith Walk: I can do this then throw crochet faux locs once i want to switch it. Thanks for the encouragement

dva: I do the same with my hair which is thin and I sure to braid it up

surigirl11: Finally somebody with fine strands but medium density! I think you have thick density cause I have medium density and it does noooottt look like yours haha. I get a lot of compliments when my hair is in a puff that it's full etc but I know how to fake it haha. Unfortunately a few months ago I put on a wig for the first time and when I took it off it ripped out my already fine babyhairs on the left side of my head. It has grown back but it's thinner than before unfortunately. Do you have any tips?

Healthy Parenting with Mfon: It's beautiful.

Tiarrea B Just Doing Me: Very beautiful.

Mama Bear: Love your channel!!! Beautiful style. Where can I get this dryer sis

Tavonnia: Love it

Cassandra Myers: How long did u keep them in? Do u have a vid showing your usual routine with them In?

Herute Amlak: hmmm im tempted... i usually shy away when its stretched cause it looks thin and i have a broad face but these actually look cute..

NOVELLA WILSON: Maybe I missed it but how long did it take to complete

Sandy Ware: Very cute!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Desiree Shaw-Stephens: Your hair is beautiful

L. Paige Thornton: thx for representing hair like mine

Maya Straughter: I have major breakage on my nape. For the past 5 years it just wont stay
