Today I am sharing my wash day routine, from start to finish, all under 3 hours. This is to show you that 4C hair doesn't have to be complicated and anyone can do it. I try to do this consistently for my dry 4C hair and the results are amazing. I am always left with moisturized, soft hair.

Despite the time it takes to film a video, this routine took me 3 hours to do. If you can spare 3 hours a week on your hair (and you don't have to do this in one seating), your hair will love you for it.

PRODUCTS USED:

1. Almond Oil

2. Kinky Tresses Shampoo

3. TGIN Deep Conditioner layers with Melanin Hair Care Leave in Conditioner

4. Melaning Leave-in & Twist Elongating Curl to style

What is your hair routine like? Let me know below. If you have any questions of requests, leave them down below as well.

Hi, you guys welcome back to my channel, it's your girl, Jen chieh, and I'm back for another video. A couple of videos ago. I posted a generic hair routine that you can use to kickstart your hair journey and grow some long, 4c hair. In today's video. I'M going to walk you through my wash day routine from start to finish and also answer some of the questions that you guys had in my last video. So if you interested and keep on watching before, we get started, make sure to subscribe to my channel for content just like this, and so we can build a community around 4c hair, self-care beauty and also follow me on Instagram, where I post a lot more content Around hair beauty and lifestyle, so if that sounds like your thing, make sure to subscribe and follow me on Instagram, okay, so my routine consists of religiously washing dipkin nope. I skip us that OH, my routine consists of pre, pulling washing deep conditioning, detangling moisturizing and sealing my hair, so five steps, and then I guess styling. If you want to include that as a step, it's the sixth step. So I'm going to challenge myself and actually time how long it takes me to do my hair routine. That was one of the concerns you guys had in my last video, where you were like. How long does this take you, Chad, do you do this every week, Jan? What is going on Jen? Well, I'm going to throw these questions and show you exactly how long it takes me to do my hair routine. So, let's dive right into pre booing alright. So we are gon na start with pre poo. If you watch my last video, then you know that is crucial. It'S important! I see it all the time I mean I guess it depends on your hair type and how you do your thing, but if you have Jai 4c hair, I would highly recommend that your pre-poo and one of the main reason why I pre-poo is because, first of All my hair is looking crazy. What is wow just wow as if I'm wetting myself like that out there I've done that to myself. Okay, so wait before we get into three four I feel like. I have to defend myself a little bit. My hair was twisted, as you saw from my last video, it was well. I have nothing but good things to say about the whole twisting experience and even the takedown process. It went really well too. I think it took me like three hours to take all the twists out when you think about it. It'S not so bad. It really isn't a tap that you want to rush through anyway, so I took my time I took down the twist. Everything was fine and then I just left my hair in this twist for, like a whole week and half why uh? Let'S just blame corona, because I have not no one or nothing else to blame. I was just really not into mental space last week to take care of my hair, so I didn't - and on top of that I would go to bed without wearing my satin bonnet. Listen. Can we just keep this between you and I please so yeah? This is how you get this hairstyle. You know if you're looking for this, ignore your hair for like. Are we gon na have, after a protective style, guarantee you get this? My hair is extremely dry. It'S probably mad at to the back is what it is. I have to be gentle. I have to take my time with my hair right now, because you know what I have no excuse and I've really just been ignoring it. So I should I should do what it do. Anyways, let's go back to pre point. One of the main reason why you want a pre-poo is because I'm hydral fatigued, okay, pause. What is hydro fatigue. Hydro fatigue is a damage that occurs to the hair fiber from the repeated process of expansion. That'S when your hair is wet and contraction, that's when your hair dries technically wetting. Your hair is not a bad thing, but when you do it over and over and over and over, it can eventually lead to damage. So I got this image of Google and you can see at the beginning how your hair is and the cuticles when the water gets in contact with your hair. It travels inside the cortex of the hair fibers and expand your hair. That'S normal! That'S typically, what happens when you coat your hair with an oil before wedding it, so oil is able to penetrate your hair coat the inside when your hair gets wet. It does not take up as much water as you would have so that helps prevent hydro fatigue or the damage that could potentially happen over time. Yes, I don't particularly like coconut oil, but I guess you can use any penetrating oil for your hair, so you want to pre-poo put oil on your hair first before going in the shower before wetting it so that it alleviates the stress that you are going to Put on your hair when you wet it, that's the reason why you want to pre poo, and it also feels good. You know when it comes down to washing your hair. Afterwards, your hair is not going to feel strip overall you'll have a better experience. So right now it's 613 and we're starting our hair routine. I'M going through my hair and separating the twists and taking out the big tangles that I can feel taking out some of the shredded hair and the main purpose right now is to coat my hair with an oil I'm using almond oil, I'm not forgetting my scalp. So I'm putting some oil on my scalp as well as coating, my hair strands, so that when I do end up going in the shower and wetting my hair, the oil would have binded to the proteins that are already in my hair. So that will prevent my cuticle from swelling as much as it would have if the oil wasn't there. Hence preventing hydro fatigue. Three points basically done, except that I missed a whole a whole strand. Okay, let me think that it's likely a little longer than usual, because obviously I've been ignoring my hair, so it's really matted it's in rough shape and any more excuses. I think that's it. So it is now 6:40 and I'm going to put my hair in one of these things or our grocery bag. To be honest, a grocery bag works a little bit better if you're not using a grocery bag you're missing out, but I'm trying to look cute on camera. Okay, it matches my pajamas so we'll live our hair for 20 minutes and up to 12 minutes I'll meet. You in the shower all right so we're in the shower we're washing our hair. I like to let the water run through my hair first just to rent it out and also continue the detangling process, and also when it comes down to shampooing. I only put it on my scalp and just drag the lather down the strands of my hair. I don't think it's necessary to put shampoo directly on your strands and when I do so, my hair tends to be drier than usual. So I avoid it, and I typically just make sure that I rub my scalp with my fingers and not my nails once that's done, I rinse it out following up with a deep conditioner, I am actually trying a new one. I'M trying the melanin hair care line in this video, but I also have the tgin, which is my favorite dip, conditioner, it's almost down, so I figured I would just finish it off and also use the melanin leave-in conditioner because it says you can use it as A conditioner leave-in conditioner deep conditioner, it's a multi-use product, so I'm going to put it to the test. But at that point my hair already feels a lot better. I'Ve taken out most of the tangles, so it feels fine and I'm able to finger detangle some sections. It'S 808. We free food wash dip conditioned. So now I'm going to sample my hair rinse on the deep conditioner moisturize seal and style. It'S not that much. I was actually going to use my tangle, teezer brush, and so many of you guys are like that. Thing'S shredded my hair sooo. That was a little dramatic but we're basically gon na put that aside for a while, okay, we're gon na be using a good, ol white toothbrush. You know. Sometimes you don't need to be fancy with it. You just need something. That'S gon na get the job done and not shred your hair. So that's what we're gon na be using. My hair has been deep conditioning for about 40 minutes now, my basically showered in this skin. Here I washed a shower honestly what it comes to like wash natural here. You know what I mean. You know once you wash your hair, there's like hair everywhere, actually collected them here that fell in the shower. Show you guys how much I said it and that's how much hair came out mine. Do we still have anything we'll get, but, as you notice, we've been slowly detangling now, I'm here throughout this entire process, so that the same feelings not so hard. So basically, each one of these twists most likely going to split into depending on how hard it it's like something like this is probably gon na try to get away with the tangling it is. But okay, I have to tell you something, though, that melanin leave-in conditioner. What it has it so much flip, I love it every I would put in the thing, but I'm not sure, with new conditioner, and then I will put it on top. I was like it just feels like so like moisturizing and has so much like. Maybe I've found another leave-in conditioner that will actually work for my hair cuz. I'Ve only found one living condition of Ellie like in my entire. I don't know hair in Germany and that's the amo natural living condition there hey so far. I am pleasantly surprised with it and then, like it, you technically wasn't singing like it's going to be too bad. My hair feels really good. I like this feeling I'll show you how much hair that I love. I hate thinking boss, because it's basically here that that includes some hair that I lost in the shower and just pulled it off together, but it doesn't have the hair, though I lost one egg, free food, that's still in the other room, so it's 834 and now All I have to do is bring this out, so I rinse my hair in the sink, because I don't like going back and forth from the shower going out and going back in the shower. I don't really like doing that. So I just runs out the deep conditioner in the sink alright, so it took me a little time to set up, but here we are my hair's, been in this little wrap for about 10 minutes or so, and I think I made up a mine. I want to do a kiss and crawl. I don't want to show you guys the process, because I want to make it a separate video, but basically I'm gon na be using the melanin hair care, I'm so excited. I obviously use the living conditioner in the shower and loved it, so I'm gon na be using this one to set my hair. All I'm going to do now is literally just twist up my hair, so it shouldn't take me too long, maybe about half an hour. Oh and my hair feels really good. It may look a little crazy, but it feels amazing. Am I the only one who like dread, washing their hair, but then, when I actually do it, I love it. Like I sing along in the shower I put on music. It'S like a whole self-care thing, but then leading up to that. Sometimes I really dread it. So I'm done my hair's twisted it's protected. It'S tucked away. It feels soft, it's so moisturize, oh, and this is ed. This is my wash day routine. This is what I do. Typically, when I wash my hair, everything is exactly the same, except for the part where I style. Sometimes I do twist. Sometimes I go into a full-blown protective style, always 9:14 Lily took three hours. I should show you my hair ball. This is all the hair that fell out of my hair, alright, so hope that you guys enjoyed this video. I hope that it gives you a little bit more insight as to how I take care of my hair. What I do step by step and honestly it really doesn't take that long. If you dedicate three hour a week to your hair, you will see significant result and your hair will flourish. I guarantee it and of course you have to cater the routine to your own hair needs, but I think if you really take the time to care for your hair, weekly or at least bi-weekly, you should see significant results. Comment down below. Let me know your hair routine. What do you do differently? What works for you? I am always always happy to have conversations around hair, so leave a comment down below. Let'S continue the conversation, if you have any questions, let me know I'll be more than happy to answer them down below or make another video. So if you have any other videos idea, let me know - and I know you have a bunch of questions on this hair honey, but that's a topic for another video so make sure you subscribe. So you get all the details later, but I'm gon na say well dead; okay! Oh that's! Okay! Okay, oh honey! This! This hair, this hair - I don't know if it's because I've been cooped up in the house for so long, but I'm just so excited anyways. Thank you so much for watching and I'll see you in my next one

ahmad day: prepoo 3:35 shower/ shampoo 7:08 deep conditioner 8:30 detangle 10:10 styling 14:00

side to dw: i'm currently crying it's one of the few times that i see someone with real 4c hair and that is actually a lazy natural and have a realistic routine that's simple to follow i've never felt that represented thank you so so much, an overly happy teenager

Irene Willis: Looking at Jenn being consistent I love when you upload you’re one of my favorites love your personality girl

JnD Lewis: Watching"wash day" is so satisfying to me.

Empress D: You look stunning! Love the hair. My hair is loc’d but I still enjoy watching your videos. Keep representing for us 4c ladies!

Jordan: I recently have started my natural hair journey. Your videos have been SAVING me. I used to wash my hair "like Becky". I lost so much hair from the detangling process, it was such a matted mess. I recently washed my hair following this video. I pre pooed overnight. I washed my hair in SECTIONS and oh my gosh. Life changer. It helped SO MUCH. My hair was so soft from the pre pooeing and easy to detangle from washing in sections. As I did my two-strand twists, I didn't have to use my spritz bottle as much as I used too either. I love your technique and I plan on using it every time its time to wash my hair. Thank you so much Jenn!

A Sulli: I love the fact that you're consistent! I use this same routine. Thank you for representing 4c

Adenike Adedayo: Firstly, I love the fact that you keeping it so real showing how much hair shredded off and all. I'll be following you for more videos because my hair is stock in the same length which your hair is presently and you also have my hair type. Your routine is so easy to go with. Much love from me and keep smiling too♥️

perfectlycreated28: Lol, we're like children avoiding naptime. But when we finally lay down and nap, we are so happy

Karina R: Beautiful, I thought I was the only one that dreads washing their hair and looses a lot during their hair routine but after it does feels so good.

Jennifer B.: Jenn you’re amazing ! Thanks for sharing your journey with us❤️

Iva Mbilinyi: One of my FAVOURITE discoveries on 2020!! Love your content. So useful.

Yanick Eugene: I am so proud of you like your mom would be. I think you’re so smart and your videos are always very informative and on point. Your own natural hair results are a testament of how serious you take the challenge of researching, experimenting so we can reap the benefits. Thank you for what you do.

Alecia HW: I cut all my locs off almost 2 years ago because I moved from Jamaica to south Dakota 4 years ago and my waist length locs started falling out. Saddest time of my life. My hair is now the same length as yours and same texture and your videos are giving me life and hope lol. Thanks I just subscribed!

ware3: Yess, I cant deal with these 72 hour washdays. All I do is wash, deep condition, LCG with ors hair lotion and blue magic. Then I stretch it with braids and style the next day. I only prepoo when taking out a protective style. This method is great for my parents pockets because im a teenager. I have 4b with some 4c, medium porosity and medium density.

Tehilah Odjegba: Thank you so much! I am natural for 2 years and didn't even know that deep conditioning is necessary for my hair. This has helped me so much and I'm still learning how to take care of my hair. ❤❤❤

Shai Smith: My routine is pretty much the same ! It’s really simple once you get started lol..that’s usually the hardest part ! You and your hair looks amazing !

hazel just: This is the most relatable wash day I have ever seen and I've been watching natural hair videos for like a decade lol. Subscribed <3

VeraBun: Every time YouTube recommends a new black YouTuber to me I subscribe ! I want to see y’all win ! Great video

Paycontrolsthepunchline: I have never taken “hair routines” seriously because my hair always naturally grew, until a few weeks ago where my stuff started to really fall out so thank you for being the introduction to what I have to prepare myself for no sarcasm LOL

Bunnie: Your hair came out perfect! Melanin hair care twisting cream is the bomb so I’ll def have to check out the leave in. Another line that’s amazing is the Curls Dynasty products, they’re conditioners have so much slip (plus they’re owned so we gotta rep)!! Loving the consistency of your uploads, keep the videos coming!

a.d. W: This is my routine as well. It takes me about 1.5 to 2 hours. And like you. I detangle from start to end. I pre poo with an oil mix of Avocado, Olive and JBCO. I finger detangle from rinsing out the prepoo, during my shampoo, during my application of the deep conditioning, and then using a wide tooth comb during the leave in application of the L.C.O. method. Then I style. Its been working well. Lol. I have also been using the Melanin haircare line and my 4a/b hair loves it.

geegeethree: I love your routine. I wear my hair straight for 6 months and then curly for 6 months. After 6 months of wearing my hair straight, I forget my wash day process and always have to search for a new one. Yours is great! I love your visuals. And the process from start to finish is short.

Dominique reece: So glad i found you!!!this is so relatable I have armput length 4c hair and i workout 5 days a week, i usually tuck my hair away in 4 jumbo cornrowes but i want to wear my hair in styles more often i would like to enjoy my fro a little more but the sweat from the working out makes my hair frizz out in no time and i dont want my hair to dry out when i wear it out either, ive started to use eco styler gel, idk if that will help with holding the style but yh thats my dilemma, do you have any tips for fit 4c naturals?

Judy: I used to comb out my hair twice during my wash days. Once when detangling and once when styling (or setting the style). I'd have fist size balls every time Now I've learned once is enough. Thanks for the tips! Shout out from Ug ❤️

Food Allergy Friendly Kitchen: I chopped off my hair last summer and have neglected it since. Watching this has given me the motivation I needed to take care of my hair

Tiffani W: Wash day for me was 2 days ago..pre-poo (tahlia wajid) then wash, deep condition, rinse, style so almost 3 hours.. in your last video with the mini twists I said i was gonna do them and i did yesterday

Ipheey Obi: this process works well for me. i love this video. thank you jenn

Bestleoever89: Wow so I never pre poo or washed my hair while it was twisted and I followed your video and this is legit the best my natural 4c hair has felt in a long time ty

faith famodimu: Just stumbled on your channel today... I've watched quite a few of your videos by now and I'm motivated. My hair is about your length and seems similar in texture, but it sheds/breaks a lot and I'd been thinking of cutting it off. I'm gonna try some of your tips in my routine and the protective style challenge for the next couple of months to see if I can rescue my hair. That aside, I love your channel.

Kesha Petty: You look gorgeous Sis! I feel the same way. I really dread wash day BUT when it's done, I feel so satisfied. I have the Melanin Hair Care line but I haven't used it yet. I can't wait!

Tammy Johnson: You hair looks almost identical as mine! Great to actually find a relatable video ❤️

Latoya Gray: Yay I have the same haircare routine. I've been using the melanin hair care products for like a month now and I love it.

Jay Lewis: Your hair is amazing and your smile is captivating! Keep doing what you're doing. Love it!

just a random girl lol: when my hair will be long enough, *i'll wash my hair in sections* ° 7:00 apply shampoo to your scalp for each section . Make sure to use your fingertips, not your nails; Then rinse your hair (still put in different sections) ° 12:00 after having deep conditionned, gently detangle your hair with your fingers (to work out any knots). After you can use a comb (making sure that you always start at the end and make your way up). When the detangling process is over, rinse out the deep conditioner

Nikki J _23: It turned out soooooo cute! Your personality cracks me up! I too am a 4c girl and we pretty much have the same wash day steps, only I typically can go every other week washing and I usually Prepoo over night and I do an onion juice rinse after or with my prepoo. Thanks for sharing!

marracam: Your hair came out beautiful, it looks so healthy and I love your makeup!

Nkem Uche: So i have to say I love your personality. You have an infectious smile and so authentic and beautiful. I enjoyed your video . There is something therapeutic about watching a complete wash day video maybe because I always look fwd to washing my hair too because I'm obsessed with my hair. I'm a new subby

Golden: Jenn, first time seeing any of your videos. You are FUNNY!! Thanks for sharing your energy with us!

SOULFULLYPARIS: Thanks for the video! What's your normal "everyday" hair routine? Also, does anyone have suggestions for edge controls/gels that doesn't cause flakes after using it.

Dr. Thalia W: Loved this video. Awesome demonstration.

exclusiveop: I typically pre-poo with my deep conditioner, detangle while rinsing out the deep conditioner, wash, do a light condition, and style (I hate having to get out the shower to deep condition lol plus I never noticed a difference in softness doing it this way). Although these days, I detangle before I rinse out my deep conditioner and do my wash routine with my hair in loose twists. This method cut my time in half - which says a lot since my original wash routine didn't take more than an hour. It's willd. Also, I'm definitely gonna need the tutorial on your hairstyle:)

Danielle Nwosa: so informative!! thank you for helping us 4c girls out!

MRS. W.O.: Great routine. I do the same. The melanin products are wonderful for keeping hair detangled and moisturized throughout the week. TFS

ImOphelia: Yess! We have the same hair type on wash day my hair is so dry and shrunken by the time I’m done nourishing her she’s moisturized and FLOURISHING!!

MsNaturale Michelle: Jenn, OMG I was so happy when you pulled out that wide tooth comb!!! Yeay!! Sometimes the brush is not necessary. You can use it once in a while!! I am still trying to grow out my thin hair in the front from using the tangle teezer.

L. W.: Simple and straight to the point!

86Kera: An almost 20 minute wash day routine

Dee Reed: Very nice routine. I love your videos. My wash day is slightly different. I wash twice a month instead of weekly and in loose twists instead of loose sections. I don't detangle until the next day because my hair has to be 80%-90% dry, and I use my fingers instead of a comb. I don't prepoo because it aggravates my scalp. Wash day for me is 6 hours due to length and ridiculous volume. Detangling takes about 2 hours.

mhfmful: Your hairstyle looks great! You've got me on pins and needles waiting for the tutorial:-)

Tee JustTee: Yes, I dread it too. It's because it appears to be an overwhelming task; but when you take it in steps, and do something soothing or entertaining like listening to music, it becomes a joyful experience. I have the entire Melanin system too. It does make your hair feel like BUTTER.

Maya Toney: Thank you so much ! Using this exact same method

Zadie Marr: @ 14:39 , Jenn you are NOT alone.. I'm both excited & exhausted at the thought of wash day coming up; excited because I looove being in my hair yet exhausted because it does take energy.

Lesly Makwavarara: Love the video, my wash day consists of rice water as my prepoo(Leave for 20-30 mins). I know I can’t call it prepoo but that’s what I do. Then shampoo, deep condition, moisturise and style.

Divineservent s: Routine on fine 4c slightly grown out TWA: - Shampoo + jojba oil - Deep conditioner hair mask - Leave in - hair butter - Curly custard to style Still haven't pinned down a good sealant - coconut and olive oil don't work for me ‍♀️.

Charlotte Roberts: I really appreciate your honesty of the products from someone that I have followed for years. You can't believe everybody who does these products reviews. I were very skeptical of buying her products but I might just give the product a try one day. Your hair came out gorgeous. Great !

Amber Harris: Hey Jen, I love your channel! What other oils can be used for prepooing?

Chara Harris: I don’t have 4c but I loved your wash day! You are beautiful I like to think of wash day as spa time for me. It takes me about 1-1.5 hours total. That’s ME time.

Belinda Cobb: Hey Jenn, I have the same routine. I actually love wash day though. My problem is I suck at styling and it doesn't seem to stay moisturized. I am waiting on my Melanin order hopefully that will do the trick.

Faith Yimfor: Finally found a YouTuber with dry 4c hair and a realistic wash day routine . And by the way you are soo gorgeous . Please can you do a product review on Cantu natural hair products ?

SheRea DelSol: You look absolutely stunning

Mel E: Love the results!

YamsMomma 39: Thank you for sharing your routine Jenn!! Beautiful hair! Do you have a video on how you achieved the style in this vid?

Alicia Walker: Lol I can relate. This is exactly how my hair looks right now girl.

Eileen Ward: Yes girl, I wash, deep condition, leave in , cream styler, once a week. My hair is still short, so I do love my wash day spa day. I'm told not so much when my hair gets longer . I hope I still love it. Be blessed

UTubeuzername: oving the consistent uploads, I understand how crazy life can get so it’s great to see these type of quality uploads.

Larissa Ariri: 14:29 it doesn't look crazy sis it looks how 4c hair looks after washing. Completely normal. Great video ❤️

H I D D N B E A U T I E: You’re absolutely gorgeous and I really enjoyed this wash day

🌺Bush Bae🌺: You’re so daggone cute! (No homo) I love how you are just YOU, showing us the good, the bad, and the ... not ugly, but ... it is what it is! You’re beautiful - glad I found you!

Sipokazi Pangwa: This video is so satisfying, I love my hair but I definitely need to stop neglecting it What happens the day after wash day? Do you unlock the twists and feed your hair with some products or do you leave the twists for a while? Which products do you use everyday?

PH Panda: Love the video . My son has 4c hair and he doesn’t even try to take care of it and me as a almost white girl I really didn’t even know where to start so thank you thank you thank you thank you!!! I hope he lets me help him

cathleen williams: I'm always excited when I have to wash my hair. It's me time that I dont get during the week

LastDays: Sis I absolutely LOVE your videos. Thanks for the tips and for NOT playing the typical ratchet ghetto music. YOU ROCK‼️

Vondradee Courtenay: You have convinced me to try melanin products. Love your hair. It is beautiful. Wash routine: Lately I have been going with natural products. Onion juice pre-poo. Rice water rinse after shampooing. I am working on stretching out my shampoo days. I used to shampoo once a week. I am now shampooing every two weeks. I am trying to get to 28 days. I also moisturize in between shampoo days with aloe vera juice and olive oil. Been rocking two-strand twist bantu knots for about 5 weeks now. We gone see what happens when outside opens back up.

xXMoonlightQueridaXx: The pre detangling part normally takes me close to 2 and a half hours...wash day in 3 hours. I am envious Jen

Bree Shenanigans: I’m happy I found you!! I actually have 3c/4a hair but I’m watching for my daughter!! I struggle with her hair! I can honestly say I don’t know how to manage it but I’ve just spent over $200 on products (Canadian products GOODNESS THE SHIPPING ) just for her hair.. her hair has broken off, she’s had bald spots, severe knots, I can never keep her hair moisturized, it’s matted ALOT! I’ve cried over her hair (she’s 3 btw)... her hair is so brittle I can’t do braids anymore.. one day a braid was actually accidentally pulled from her scalp and it ripped from her scalp so easily because it’s so damaged... I use a spray bottle and natural oils and sometimes royal crown... her hair would be dry again before the day is over.. I’m using your routine and giving her iron and we’ll see how it works! She has 4c high porosity.. as she gets older, seems as though it gets worse.. it didn’t start off like this.. I’m trying

Gen E. Nova: Love her! Thank you for sharing ♥️

ByAriNicole: I love this video. I’m going to follow this exactly.

NicNacAttack: Thank you for sharing your routine! Hi hair twin! I apply selsun shampoo to scalp and conditioner to hair and deep condition. Then add a little more sulfate free shampoo and wash out in shower, retwisting sections like you. I apply the conditioner again before styling as a leave in. I only use OGX brand. I like the blue bottle argan oil conditioner for it's thick consistency. I use it as a deep conditioner with heat, leave in and moisturizer, on my skin sometimes too. JBCO too... I'm so glad we have YouTube to learn from one another. We should all also understand that while our hair is similar it's still different and has different needs. There are so many variables from person to person (health issues, diet, water quality, climate, etc). TFS

I don't wash my hair until it's been 3 months or longer. thank you for posting this video because I really wanted to know in detail how long it took you to do everything. i have a few questions to ask you and I hope it's not overwhelming. 1. are you going to upload a video on the makeup you did on this video because sis your makeup looks flawless 2. are you going to do more vlog videos 3. are you going to do a house tour (remember you promised us you would do that two years ago lol) 4. can you please teach us how you edit your videos because your editing skills are the bomb.Sis, you edit like it's your profession

Rosemary Vyslouzil: Thank you for the info the results are on point

Katrina Lisa: Great video girl. Well my hair is type 4b and i shampoo every other week and cowash every other week. When I shampoo I use a conditioner then a deep conditioner then do the loc method. When I cowash the opposite week. I use my deep conditioner and than do the loc method. And no you are not alone we all feel that way about wash day. Lol

Addie Cranfeild: I thank you so much for this video l have been searching for how to take care of my hair. I have had a perm for a long time and decided to stop getting a touchups. I was getting my hair Braided. But l want to learn how to do my hair myself so this video is the answer to prayers. I have been struggling with my hair,so thank you so much. I will continue to look for your videos. I have learned so much about my 4C hair my prayers have been so thank you again.

Dreu Moiten: I feel like this is just about my routine give or take the prepoo, I don't always do it every single wash and it has been working. When I just went natural I couldn't stand wash days because I was made to feel like it was a whole day/ weekend event and that's so exhausting, cutting it down to this routine has made my life much simpler and wash days more enjoyable/practical. Your hair looks good btw Jenn

Andreya Matthew: You are so relatable and gorgeous I'm loving your videos

Tiara Words from God: Can we get a skincare routine? God bless, Queen. ❤

Menstrual Cups Kenya: Subscribed at minute 2:05 because THAT is how my hair looks when i take a band out. All standing up and crazy like a sea monster. I was like yes! This is my tribe. Love your hair and your content.

Neosoul_prima: The entire line by Adwoa beauty is definitely a brand I definitely strongly suggest! The leave in, is so thick, buttery, and and paired with either the cream or gel are just bomb! Also sis I’m not sure of your porosity, But I definitely suggest adding that leave in while you’re in the shower and cover it with a plastic cap right after!!!! Once you let it sit for like 15 mins, it has penetrated deeper into your strands and I swear your hair will love you for ever!!!!!! I’m medium till low porosity, but try it and see if that works for you!!! I usually hop into the shower just for my rinsing of prepoo, then washing, and applying my deep conditioner. Then once it’s time to rinse, I do that and apply the leave in with a cap to let it sit while I shower. When it’s time to style I don’t have to worry about reapplying. all I do is just use my styler

THE HR CONER: finally....someone with my exact type of hair
