Disclaimer, i give my most honest review of these products. I am not a hair specialist. I can only state how these products have worked for me. I'Ve been using them for about a week now, even after editing, this video, my opinions, change over time on some of these products, i decided to hold off on uploading this video to try the products for a longer period of time in different ways, so i can Have a complete review. This is why some of the voice over portions have updated opinions. Please check out natural 85. Her channel and products will be linked below. Thank you for watching i'm literally about to try melanin hair care, because i need my hair washed. I have been just prolonging it and putting this off, and so this is what my hair looks like i finger detangled it i'm gon na get in the wash wash it in twists and basically give you my first impressions on the product. What is up youtube? It'S your girl nacional back edition and you're watching my channel. So without further ado. Let us just hop right into the video. So today i'm going to be reviewing natural 85's hair care line, which is melanin, hair care. She came out with the first item a few years back and recently her items became available in ulta beauty stores, so i decided to just buy it and order it off of the ulta app online. So it was great because also it's having a 20 discount sale, where you can get every item for 20 off well with exclusions. However, mullin and hair care was a part of that sale. So i got all these items for 20. I only paid 80 of the full retail price so that also really enticed me to get the items background um my hair. I am 4b 4c. I feel like i'm more 4c than 4b, but um. I know that that whole hair typing system can be a little tricky i'll, just say, 4b4c, so that i can be as accurate as possible. The first thing i am looking at is the melanin hair care african black soap, reviving shampoo. It says that you're supposed to apply it to wet hair. Well, it's a shampoo, i'm so stupid. But yes, and it also says that um, you drag excess on the length of your hair to cleanse your hair strands and rinse away. No sulfates paraben, silicones mineral oil, phatelates, formal hydro, well, whatever this is none of that. I really like the nozzle of this shampoo um. It helped me get in between the strands. So it's like this nozzle. I don't need. This is not a makeup channel. I need to be doing all of this, but the shampoo lathered very, very well, on my hair a lot of times. It takes me a few times to scrub it up in there for it to start lathering up it lathered very well. It gave my scalp this tingly sensation and i felt like that was the peppermint in this. So i had this like tingly sensation going on, and i really like that. I didn't even use a lot of it, but i didn't need a lot. I have a lot of hair. Let me just cut to a clip of a previous video on my channel, just showing you how my hair be, and that is not even a clip of my hair, fully stretched out. My hair is curly in that video, so ma'am. I even use a lot of this. It went through my hair strands. I love this and um in the video that i'm cutting to you'll, see or hear me talk about how i, like the shampoo. I really like the way the shampoo felt. I like the way. The shampoo lathered and i like how it tingled in my hair, i really really like the applicator, so that's the first product on to the next one. We have up next, the melanin multi-use softening leave-in conditioner, so i'm just gon na say my hair didn't like it. I wanted to love it so bad like i was trying to make my hair love it because i was so excited and i didn't want to look for another conditioner. I just wanted this one to work, so i didn't have to go back and make a return to ulta, because ulta does allow you to make returns. If you don't like a product, even if you open the product, which is sorry ill. No, don't love that love! Ulta we love ulta for that. Yes, yes, ma'am! Thank you um. So i used quite a bit of this. My hair felt i'm gon na say this a lot in the recap: videos that i will probably show you, oh also disclaimer. For those recap - videos, i'm looking hella busted. My lip is like as dry as my scalp like um, it's giving me very uh, unkept unprepared, tired yeah. Please excuse! You know. I look like a bum in most of these videos so like let's just not act but yeah um. For some reason, my hair just wasn't taking the conditioner. Now let me give you a backstory of my hair. You might not really care you might care. I don't know, but my hair tends to not take to products immediately like i got ta kind of coax it a little bit and be like come on. You need a little nudge. I have been trying this product for two three days and it just it just wasn't working for me. I really really wanted it to work because not only was i'm trying to i'm trying to support like a youtuber that i actually really like, but this is the first time i've ever supported. Like a youtuber with my my coin, my hard-earned coins, so i was so excited because i really felt like she was selling a product that she uses herself and that's one of the things that really enticed me to buy her products because it's not like she's. Just a part of this huge corporation and she's just trying to sell something to you to make a quick buck. I really feel like she took the time to develop these products, which is why i wanted it to work so bad, because i know that it works for so many people, and i know that she put it out there because she tested it and it worked on Different hair types, it's just that my hair was in one of them and my hair was being really stubborn. My hair was just not having it and i was just like hair. Please thanks! Stop it. I'M not gon na blame the product because it works for some people and that's just how it is in the natural hair community. You find products that work for you and you find products that don't work for you. Some people might not like the way this product fares in their hair, but i loved it, but some people might love this and i didn't the thing about it was it just. I felt like it was just sitting on top of my hair and my hair felt like there was product in it. It doesn't it felt, dry and wet, and i don't know how to explain it, but that's just how it felt like in the video that i'll show you. When i cut back and forth you'll, see that my hair looks like there's moisture in there and technically. Water is moisture, so there is technically moisture in there, but my hair just felt so dry and stripped at the same time after putting this in there - and i really tried with this - i really did, but it just wasn't - working i'm gon na try to give it A chance to work in my hair, but right now my hair just feels rough. It feels like it's gon na feel crunchy tomorrow, i'm literally trying to get moisture back into my hair. So you can see like this. One is not is one that is from last night, where i just had conditioner and oil. It is so i don't know if you can hear it, but it's crunchy. So with this conditioner just forgot to mention you can use it so many different ways. I feel like, if i play around with it, maybe i can find a way it works for me. I tried to use it as a leave-in and it just didn't work as a leave-in for me, but it might work as something else, but i'm personally way too lazy to to try so many different ways like i'm. Just like all right. Listen. If i put the thing - and i don't do what the thing i want the thing to do - i'm just gon na just move on to the next thing. So that's just me being like. So this is where i have to interject again: um the product wasn't working for me at first, because i was using it as a leave-in, and my hair does take a long time to kind of adhere to a product. I feel like the mistake that i was making was that i was applying it to my hair wet and my hair doesn't like to be wet in the first place. So i decided to use it later on in the week as a detangler and as a moisturizer, by applying it to dry hair instead of applying it to wet hair, and my hair responded to that a lot better. So i think i prefer this combination over what i was doing earlier on in this video, and i feel like that's why my hair responded the way that it did so. I loki kind of went back on what i said about being too lazy, because my laziness for going to ulta overcame my laziness for just trying it another way. So i can say that i like that way, a lot better and in my opinion i actually the product grew up on me. That grew up grew on me. It grew on me. Look at these strands. Look at this, my hair. I don't know what it's doing. I don't know what texture this is it's i love it and i'm not mad at this. My hair feels moisturized, like i'm zoomed in because i look a mess, but this is what the conditioner cream and oil did to me. So am i returning it? No keeping thank you very much. Just look at how moisturized my hair is here. Try it out and see if you like it a different way with these twos everything her line. Has this experiment scent going on and honestly you might love it. You might not, but i started to get a headache a little bit completely unrelated, but the scent kind of wasn't helping my headache. My thing is, like i'm, really sensitive to smells so, like certain smells, if it smells too sweet or like if the smell is slightly too potent, it will make my head hurt so um that probably has nothing to do with the product itself. It'S just a me thing, so the scent is like peppermint type vibes and i like the scent it's just that after a while my head, i just i just didn't - i was just you know. Scent was great, but scent wasn't great for me. You know what i'm saying: that's what i'm trying to say now we're going on to the melanin hair care twist, elongating style, cream, yeah i've used quite a bit of it, as you can tell, because i really also was trying to give this one a chance. I feel like the product did what it said it would do. It says it makes your hair more manageable, reducing tangles and knots, and it says your hair won't be weighed down it's perfect for twist outs and watch and goes and it's an elongating style cream twist along getting style, cream and you'll, see in my cut back video That i say the cream did elongate my twists and it was lightweight and i used it to detangle um as well. So it is a little bit more elongated, so i feel like the elongating cream, really did help with elongating my hair um, because it normally isn't as stretched as it is right now, right after i wash it with this cream, it elongated my twist. I used it to detangle and i felt like it was a pretty decent detangler. The only thing was the same thing like i was saying before my hair just felt so dry and i don't understand again. It was because i felt like i was using the wrong combo for my hair, texture and hair type, and i think i said it before, but i think the reason why my hair was so dry is because i was trying to apply all of these products. While my hair was very wet, my hair really does hate being wet, and that's why i kind of loathe wash days so the fact that my hair began to respond to the products days after after my hair was completely completely completely dry. I feel like has a lot to do with why the products were kind of um, not reacting to my hair, in the way that i wanted to initially. But now my opinions on the products have changed right. Is it something i'm doing wrong if it's like the way i was applying it to my hair, like i was watching videos on how other people were applying it to their hair and i'm following like even looking at natural 85's videos on like the products like because Whenever she would come out with a product, she would like make a video about how to apply the product to your hair, and i would try to follow those videos, and i would just i just felt like i wasn't getting the results that i wanted and i Had to remind myself that she has a different hair type than i do and for the people who are saying that it worked for them, they probably have different hair types than i do, and maybe the things that i like might not work for another person. So that's why i keep on stressing in this video that, even if you're watching this video to gauge whether or not this line will work for you, i would highly urge you to try it and buy it from ulta. So that way, if there's an ulta near you, you don't have to pay for shipping and you can still support her brand. Try out the products and then, if you don't like it, you don't, you can always return it for a full refund. The last thing was this oil: now the oil, i'm not too sure about the jurisdiction, is still out on this oil because i think that maybe i'm going to try it without any of the other products. I think i, the oil, is good i've. It'S lightweight. I, like the consistency of the oil. I think i'm going to hold on to this a little bit longer and try it again on on my regular, wash day routine and see how it fares there. The oil i feel like she says that it detangles softens and seals, and i did notice that once i put the oil in my hair, my detangling brush did go through my hair a lot more smoothly, so i do feel like it does. What it claims to do, i'm going to make a video dedicated to this oil in the future i'm going to hold on to it for a little bit longer and try to see it. I like that these products are huge. Some people might say that, because it's so pricey, it's not worth it, but i really feel like you're, really getting a bang for your buck. So i was in the middle of shooting shots with a snapchat filter of the products, because i thought her product packaging. Oh look at this back there i thought her product packaging was so cute and i wanted to get some shots of it to include in the video. I want to add that i love how her pack the packaging for the product. I really like it. I like that, you can see through the bottle, and you can see exactly what you are getting. Basically, i also like the fact that she signed the back of the products or at least on the back of the products her signature is printed. I think that pretty much wraps up today's video, please please, please take my review with a grain of salt. I really urge you to try her products for yourself, because you may really love them, and i've noticed a few comments on other videos and reviews before i purchased them that some people were saying that their hair also felt dry as well, and other people were saying. Like how their hair really loved the products and how it goes so quickly in their homes, so i urge you to try them for yourselves. My advice would just be to get them from all the time. If you don't like them, then you're just going to return them, but otherwise i think that basically concludes this video. If you made it this far, thank you so much for watching over here to not try fentanyl box because to make your own have a good day or now everywhere and peace out. I am out

F T: I tried the conditioner in the shower and it wasn't doing it for me and it doesn't give you much slip when your hair is already wet. Now I use it as a leave in on damp/dry hair. When I first apply it it feels like it's sitting on my hair but a few hours later when everything is dry my hair feels amazing. It's become a staple for me. I think it might be a porosity thing, medium to high porosity naturals seem to like it, like asia char. My hair reacted just like hers in her accidental twist out video.

Lynne McMonagle: You should check out fortified shampoo for fast hair growth.
