Hey, I'm beat really want to be here, so they Foley into this video make sure you guys send in your post notifications. See you another five. Whenever I post a new video to my channel, make sure you guys are subscribed to my vlog channel, which is like this gon na be make sure you I hit over there and subscribe to that channel. Make sure you guys are following me on instagram my name's banks and follow me come on. Tik-Tok emmalegs thinks so you guys, I know y'all. Looking at my hair like what's going on, why did you blow your hair out? I know I don't blow my hair. All hair out often - and I'm sure you guys, have read the title of this video, so I'm here to do a update on my natural hair, so um April 2020 makes 9 years of being natural. For me, you guys I have a ton of videos on my channel about my hair journey throughout the years. Even when I wasn't on you too, I willing all of those videos in the description box below. Yes, you guys I've been natural for 9 years, a big chop, my hair, a number of times. If you don't know G, you know the story again, questions all the time and if you're new here I have chunder a lot because they write scissor happy and I like to cut my hair anyways. So that's this. I came from nine years natural like whoa time. Just went by so fast but anyways, so I know y'all gripped by the titles like what is going on, so y'all got to keep y'all updated on. What'S going on with my natural hair and everything. So if you've been here for a long time, you guys have seen the ups and downs of my natural hair journey. You guys have see if I'm here when it was super fine and yeah. I'Ve seen it now where it's a lot thicker and it has changed. A lot of my hair is completely changed. Over the whole 5 years, I've been on YouTube it'll, be six years in June July when I've been how long and on YouTube, but you guys have seen my hair change a lot in as of lately. My hair is really changing. You guys really different. I thought notice a big difference in my hair. My hair has changed with my age, I believe I've know. I'Ve talked to you guys about that in the past, because a lot of times we hear stuff like they can be hereditary, and I mentioned a past that mom has LeBron, hear things like though she was younger and as she got older, it changed. I'M definitely starting to notice that, in my hair my hair is growing a lot faster these days and I've just been noticing a lot of like changes in my hair. That thickness has changed. It'S still fine, but it's a lot thicker than it used to be. Also you guys know about four months ago I did my one-year update for my fourth big chop, I'm showing you guys my hair and everything and how my hair was thriving and improving. For my hair, I will link the video in the description box your as of lately. I noticed that my ends or snap crackling and popping - and I did not like that and I felt really rough and dry and I would think about my innocence. I still had some bleach on my hair. Actually you guys remember when my hair was short and I brought my hair well, I didn't cut all the color off my hair. What I did I'll link that video down below what I did was out: rinse my hair and gradually over time I planned on just you know: snipping the color out. Well, when I did the trim four months ago, I didn't cut all the color out and I don't know I'm pretty sure it's from the color but my hands or it's not crackling and popping whenever I comb my hair, and that was an indication to let me Know your ends are dry, as I don't know what and they're brittle. So you need to cut them in when I just recently did that video that braid out video my hands felt terrible and they were giving me a hard time when I was twisting my hair. They didn't want to say twist it at the bottom, so I was like okay. That is letting me know like. It is definitely time for me to trim out here. You definitely have to listen to your hair, because your hair will talk to you and my it was like a girl. You do not get these kinds of out of here. You are going to damage and ruin your hair, because you know when your hair is drying up drying this so today that can cause a breakage, and I didn't want that to happen. So I was like today. Enough is enough. I wash my hair blew it out and I cut off all of the ends and you guys will see that now. I could've did that while my hair was twisted, but I need to really get in there and see my hair, because I've also been having a lot of single strand knots on the ends of my hair and I'm pretty sure it's due to my hands being dry And brittle, like I said there was still a lot of color on the ends of my hair. You guys may not have been able to see because it's really saying it doesn't really pick up on camera much, but it was definitely there because I could see it. I was like, let me get this up out of here, because I am NOT going out there like this, so I know my hair has grown since the last time. I trim my hair, but I'm pretty sure I probably have cut off the limp that I obtained, but I don't even care because I know my model limp doesn't mean anything if your hair is damaged, you'll not be holding onto damaged and sweet because you won't tear Your hair up, okay, don't hold onto a limp, does not matter health of your hair meadow. So I was like. Oh no, no, I took those scissors and I went to town. I was only going to do a dusting, but I ended up doing full launch from you like. I just did a whole trim on my hair, because my hair was so like this grain me like the single strand knots were driving me nuts, like I mean literally driving me nuts, and I did get them out of it up like this. Why? I don't even care about the one. I don't care less about the one I just need to make sure my hair is healthy and y'all can see. I have a pretty did a really good job on this clip in my fam. I thought it's really even. I feel like there is still a little bit of color left on some parts of my hair, so I may have to go in and another for four months and probably cut the rest off now. I do have a video about when you should or shouldn't trim your hair um. I will link it in the description. Michael. I need a lot of questions about that. There is no right or wrong time to trim your hair. You have to listen to your hair. Everyone'S here, it's different. Some people may require trim a little bit more often because of Sheila's try not being dry because they may have colored a hair. You know there's a lot of reasons as to why you may need to trim your hair or that's your hair, but you can't really technically for the time stamp on it. But I talk about all that in that video. So if you are interested in that video make sure you watch that video, you guys cuz, I go really in depth in that video about trimming and things like that. But my hair was definitely talking to me Arius to help the overall. It'S just that those ends were just not getting it and I knew something was going on because the last time I slipped my hair down, I felt like a lot of pieces of my hair were like curling and, like kind of like that, my hands were doing This, like they were just all over the place like they weren't coming together. So that's how I also knew that I needed to go ahead and you know get my hair together. This is something new. I'Ve never really had to do this in the past, like I said before, I even got on YouTube. When I grew my hair out, I had pictures in a video check it out um. I went years without getting a trim and I never had experience and anything like this when my aunt is doing this social, especially I just trimmed four months at all so yeah, but I'm pretty sure with the color, I'm almost certain because back then I didn't have Come on my hair, so yeah, I went ahead and got my hair together because I was not playing with it, but overall my hair is doing really great. You guys I do have a boss by I don't even think you guys can see it. I do have a boss spot right here. This is the boss spot. It'S growing back and y'all can see the little peach fuzz I'll, put some pictures. It'S growing back my you're always falling out and that's why I'm starting to think that it maybe is a soft sweater. So I'm like that, I have like Ella, peisha, areata and next slide. If phones out gon na see your no kidding you guys it falls out once here. I'Ve talked about this before my shell falls out once a year and he girls back, and I don't even do anything to it. I got flipped black jamaican, castor oil on it, but it just grows back it so weirdest thing ever it always happens right through in the front, so can be the middle part right now, though, that's pretty much it, I just split black Jamaican, castor oil or now I'M not I've been getting a lot of questions on what I've been doing to grow. My here you guys, I have a really simple routine, I'm very simple when I, when it comes to my hair, because you got to keep it simple, that's what makes your hair grow. I do the life I do, while shampoo condition and under the loc method for the most part - and this is what I do you guys and I all myself look like to make a castor oil. That is really all I've been doing. I believe, back in February I started taking these I'm inconsistent um. I would typically only take these to thicken up my hair. These aren't really. I don't really see a big difference in the growth of money in my hair. These over here are skin and nails. Uh means by against refining. I don't really see a difference in the length of my hair with these um. My nails are pretty naturally grow long, but these make my nails go even longer and um yeah. I don't think it really works for my skin either. I just like to stay home to help with the thickness of my hair, but I haven't even been taking on Kristen's only so I can't really say if this has really contribute is y'all know when I did the update four months ago back in December, my one Year for a big chocolate day, my hair was already thickening up on this on. I was just trying to see if these are gon na like make it even thicker. I mean I don't know they could be working, I'm not hundred percent up. Then I'm not even since just someone taking on social knows well, um, I'm not gon na say take these for growth because I don't see any growth with these but yeah I'm in the past. I'Ve taken them a little bit in to thicken them up, but that's literally all I've been doing you guys, but you know it's up with your doctor before you start taking stuff, but I did not take those to grow. My hair - I just want to let you guys know, God, did not take those about my hair. As far as my edges, I've always had fun and just the situation back in the day that happened, which caused me to lose. My hair, I mean I haven't, never talked about the situation on my channel. I don't know if I will, because it's such a negative story. You know I got into oxidation long story short someone pulled my hair. Doesn'T that situation I'm kind of like damage, my hair follicle, I'm sure, but I don't know if I ever tell that story, it's just such a negative, negative story and yeah it was. It was just definitely as traumatizing I experienced. This is my current state of mind here I feel like it has grown, but I definitely probably chopped the most of the growth off, but I already care because my stands were so bad, like they were giving me literally the blues. These are my ends. I said the color is really faint, but you can see that all the coloring - and this feels horrible - it is so so straggly and it just it's dry and just I'm gon na keep an eye on my hair and listen to my mare, see you guys. That is what you guys should be doing is listening to your hair for hair talks to us. I'M gon na tell you've been eating, my oyster, I'm not sure. If he'll drive it needs to be trimmed. If it needs this, if it means that if it needs this means that, because it talks to you, so you just got to be able to list that there was no secret to growing out for me. I don't have a secret. I'Ve always say you guys when it comes to your hair, it's not always the outside. You have to also work in the inside, so you have to make sure you drink on water, taking care of yourself taking your vitamins. Your hair may not be growing because you may lack some vitamins. You may have a deficiency so make sure you guys consult with your physician, your primary care doctor, even if you, if you suffer from Ella, pichia or LP, she areata, and you feel like it's getting worse or things like that. Please consult with a physician. I am NOT a physician, but please consult with a doctor, your doctor or dermatologist, or somebody, because it's not always the outer aspect as to why our here is, like you know, doing things that are crazy, like I have here that sheds a lot. My hair sheds a lot and I find that in his window it's lucious but he's been doing a lot better because I, the vitamins vitamin D deficiency, so I started taking vitamin B to help with the shedding also have little iron or iron. Some closure here it'd be brittle, so you know you got to kind of know your body. You have to know everything about yourself, your body chemistry, because it tells a lot about your hair. Don'T just always run out to the store and think you going by hair growth miracle product, and it's just going to help you. That'S not always the case, because you have to make sure you're taking care of yourself and turn the leak up on your regimens. Make sure you are taking care of your hair, make sure you're, moisturizing you're not overwhelming surprising and making your hair brittle and dry, and all this probability sure you are taking care of your strands is really and for and nobody's watch machine or hair routine is one-size-fits-all. All of our routines are going to be different. I just want to put that out there. I feel like people look for the perfect routine and you really just got ta. Do what works for you, but I probably don't do half of this of them. You know the natural hair community rectum is but that's okay, because what I do for my hair has worked for my hair time and time again, so I just continue to do what I do. I remember I got a comment from a girl. I blocked her. She was like well it's time for you to change your regimen, because I've been growing my hair, the same, I'm telling you and my hair as much longer than yours, well more power to your sister girl, but everybody's here. It'S different. I do have here that grows on the slower and it has now sped up over the year, so it is growing a little bit faster for me. You remember for me because everybody here goes differently. My mom cut my hair before my mom, like I started, run my hair back out. I will not be surprising. My mom here surpasses my hair by the summer. Her shots fast growing hair, and I bent my ear back out longer than she is, and I'm almost turning her hair gon na be longer than mine. Everybody'S journey is different who's. Not comparing your hair journey to anyone else. Got ta. Stop comparing yourself to people, it's okay! You can work on it. It'Ll grow, embrace your Charice. Your shrinkage, I embrace mine, y'all, know how I am. I don't care cuz. That'S the end of the day, healthy hair is all that matters. Okay, so yeah, I'm hoping I won't - have to trim my hair again for a while, because I think I only have a little bit left. So I might have to do another show in a couple of months, but I hope not hopefully or maybe a dusty, maybe because that's what I thought I was one of the day, but I just went ahead and did all a trim. It is what it is. I'M gon na go ahead and get out of here because I'm about to start rambling hope you guys enjoyed this video thanks for watching, and I will see you all in my next one. Bye,

Michele Patrice: I love that “length doesn’t matter, health does”

Miss Nna: The only thing that grows my hair is having braids in for 2 to 3 months.

Lannie Bass: Your hair looked so good after the trim. I’m inconsistent with taking those same vitamins. Like you, I didn’t see much of a difference with my hair nor my skin. My skin has actually gotten better since I haven’t been taking them. It made my chin hairs grow though.

SharronLovesYah: Your hair is growing. It is cute. Moisturize, moisturize and moisturize. My hair was brittle and breaking. I returned to Main 'n Tail shampoo and conditioner as well as the Blue Magic to seal my oil and moisturizer. I went old school.

QueenRa: I also think that women don't understand that being consistent with your hair will help with the healthiness and growth and drinking lots of water, exercising, and eating healthy. Nothing happens overnight, the growth of your hair takes patience and understanding.

NBB Ruth: My hair was feeling the same up to 2 weeks ago and I realised I've not been doing protein treatment for over 5 months. I did it and my hair revived, I trimmed and moisturised, curls are popping back

Tonya George: Hi Mona....I used to have that single stand knot problems, also. I started applying castor oil on my twists, from top to bottom, and let me tell you....I haven’t had that problem now for at least two years. I do wash and deep condition once a week, but the castor oil is my best friend.❤️

Yleeana: This helps so much my hair grew like crazy during quarantine, but for the past 2 or so months I have been have excessive shedding, no matter what I do my hair is just dry and brittle and full of single strand knots..... it is so frustrating ‍♀️

QuoiaTV: Love your channel! Some people don’t know this, but you shouldn’t trim your ends if you big chopped beforehand. Give it about 6months before you go. Edit: As long as you not using excessive heat and over manipulating

Alicia Riley: Your hair looks exactly how my hair looks Omgggg. Ok so I have the answer. I’m going to do this tuh day! I’m going to braid it up anyway. Thank you! You got a new sub

CanadianCgrrl: I am glad you are confident in yourself. You are so right: 'gotta stop comparing ourselves to others'. Stay healthy and beautiful!

Kenishia Green: My hair has a lot of single strand knots as well. It's annoying. It's growing normally but whenever I wash it, comb it, I am losing a good amount of hair. I take my time and I still get hair falling out. It's annoying. And yes, I do cut my ends more than I need to. At this point, idk what it could be.

S. M.: Even after a trim my knots and tangles still drive me up the wall your hair looks so healthy. Any advice on my 4d textured nape? NO edge control works my journey is a struggle lol.

P Davis: Love and appreciate your channel. My hair is very similar. I’ve experienced good hair growth with bamboo tea (when I was consistent I was drinking it 5 days a week). Didn’t really get any noticeable thickness, but it definitely helped with the length.

Alyssa Beyond Accounting: My hair has changed as well, I feel like my hair isn't as tight, like it has more of a curl pattern and it hangs a bit more. Even when I cut it and it grows out it's still the same.

Tiffany: Thank you for showing the before and after in one video. The video is well presented and I learned a lot.

QueenRa: That's funny I took those same gummies and I did not see any difference either. I appreciate you doing these videos, I am growing out my shaved sides and having patience is the best thing to have. I love how you trimmed your own hair I will be doing that as well because I am in the middle of growing out a color that damaged my hair and I am currently wanting to go back to my natural color for the health of my hair.

gorgeous wales: Hair looks healthy and has grown. Thanks for sharing!

Naturally Darkskin: Come on with all this new growth Miss Mona. I am loving the length of your hair but you can rock short, cut sides, medium, or long hair. With the medicine I take it stops my hair growth so I really like this and you always speak facts that’s what I love♥️

Beautifully Mastered: Sis some products that have saved my life are S curl no drip and Hawaiian silky gel curl activator have saved my life (the moisture is real)also protective styles... I got those tips from African Export she is no longer on YouTube but those products have worked for me tremendously!!

Paulla Flash: Thanks for keeping it real sis.

Bre McCoy: I gave myself a trim too hair twin, I had tons of knots. Healthy hair is more important than length.

Lolita St.Clair: Hello Mona I always enjoyed your videos. You do a good job on your hair. Keep your head up. Please have a blessed day.

Anthony Williams: I've noticed that some areas of my hair was shorter than others and now I'm wondering if picking it out everyday had something to do with it. Did it?

Kiera Crockett: Not the snap, crackling and poppin'. I never laughed so hard at that comment u made but that made my night. The struggle is real when going through this natural hair care journey I thank u for your honest about this.

Easy Bakers LLC: I'm not consistent with taking my vitamins too. Your hair is so healthy I need to just my ends too bc its been awhile since I trimmed. Exactly listen to your hair. My mom hair grows super fast like super fast.. Great video How do u know the color is still there

Machella 123: Please don't take offense sisters. But let me help shed a little wisdom about our hair. One of thhe problem istreating hairy cosmetically. Natural hair trimming, greasing, conditioning and definitely praying are all great benefits for the hair. However the root problem to thining, breaking, popping of hair or alopecia is related to iodine deficiency. Related to thyroid. You can take iodine supplements. Try googling information. on iodine Iodine is also great for viruses, bacteria, and fibroid tumors. So if you got hair thinning, eczema, breast tumours. Then look into getting to the root cause. Then you will slay your Dragon ( I.e. problem) In addition are any of you familiar with dry skin ( we call it. "ashy" ) It is also related to iodine deficiency. Cosmetically we treat it with all sorts of different loitions, sprays emoillents etc. .You got to get to the root. This is also an iodine deficiency. Our hair don't like excercise. So don't keep it stretched out. Put moisture back in it. It's much thicker this way and it too stops the breakage as well. It is not meant to be treated like Caucasian hair. Not only this Yah is the God of life. So the term " dead hair, brittle nails and dry skin is is simply the lack moisture. and the root cause to not sustaining moisture is an iodine deficiency.

Kayla: Good video. I big chopped Jan of last yr. My hair has grown sooo much. But I don't really style my hair at all, I wear my natural Afro. Something that really helped me was Ashanti shea butter because I noticed right away my hair sucks everything up accept this. It keeps my hair and scalp moisturized.

Green Bay: I just got a trim looks so much better sis u right no health no length also I hear bentonite clay helps with single strands also Shea butter for dryness...

Sharina Davis: You did a good job

Being Dijah: This is what my hair looks like now (before you cut it), I almost have no edges right now I’m going to do a big chop though

t briggs: My daughter's hair is about the same and cowashing, grease and water helps the most.

Jahnae Wyatt: I instantly subbed. I have seen your edges. They look a lot like mine! I know I am late. In art school, this pandemic and all.. so stressful.

Pauline Mcclatchey: Your makeup is flawless gorgeous beautiful...wow loving the hair..❤️❤️

Tori Johnston: Alright alright Miss Mona! Keep up the good work.

taredo3: Your hair is looking good, have you ever thought about using the Dax Kocatah oil on your hair and scalp that grease is the bomb for keeping your hair healthy it stinks but I use it at night and it is dissipated by the morning. I also use the other Dax products and Bag Balm on my hair because it has Lanolin in it.

Beverly Erskine: That's true everyone hair is different , notice of a late my hair is real dry,but I think I am not taking care of my hair the way that I should . Thanks for the information

Nethania Pierre: I wish I can trim my hair. I did the big chop last year in July. I've never did a trim in my life and even before the big chop my mom never wanted to trim my hair she always say it's fine. I also don't trust myself in trimming my hair cuz I know I'll mess it up so I'm staying without a trim until I can find someone I trust to do it.

Mia Carter: I just learned about trichorrhexis nodosa where the hair shafts each of breaks throughout them. Not much info on it but worth looking into.

Marley Hill: I have similar issues with my hair but I keep working at it.

anita hunter: I love your channel. Your hair looks good. I had do the same thing when winter set my hair started shedding. I promised my son I will let it grow and it has about your your length my stylist is going to finish trimming the back. We have the same bald spot I use peppermint and vitamin E oil and its growing back. My hair texture is the same as yours and I need an good daily hydration can you recommend one low po. Keep those videos coming. THANKS

Miss Winnie: Very helpful, thank you.

Tiffany S Makeup: I feel your pain!

Maumz and Family - Bawdacat: Could you do a hair growth challenge? (Especially during this time that we all have to be inside)

Charisma: Hey your hair looks great! Nice & healthy...I have a couple questions. They don’t pertain to this hair video, but the eyelashes video where you showed the lashes you purchased from the BSS.. I was wondering what type of glue you use which allows you to put the lashes on and take them off daily without damaging the follicle of your own eyelashes? I’ve never seen you remove yours, but I’ve seen several YT-bers just peel them right on off. It just seems as though it would ruin the natural lash follicle and make it harder for natural lashes to regrow. I want to make sure I’m purchasing the correct glue.. How can a person know if they’re over moisturizing their hair? Is there a certain thing the hair does if it’s over moisturized? I also use the Luster’s pink oil moisturizer as a leave in on my hair. My mom used to use it when I was little so I started using it again when I became natural, that along with LIV hair grease for my 4z crown.

kallie02301: Ok is it the pandemic? Are they adding more toxic chemicals to the water? The second the lockdown went into effect my hair started falling out. I can barely cover it up! ‍♀️ I got new hair vitamins, a shower filter and some hair growth oil. All organic. I hope this works!

MissH: For edges.....try beeswax(kuza)/vitamin e capsule(bust it open with pin)/ors temple balm.

Rash: Your hair is falling out? Are u vitamin D or iron deficient? I am , and it’s the same for me. I’m gonna start taking those vitamins and see if my hair grows back

Candyapplemomo: It does look a lot thicker. Definitely see all the changes your hair go through. Plz don’t get scissor happy again.

Cassie86R: Try using vaseline or blue magic on your hair that worked for me

MrsGoldie: My hair is exactly like yours!

Esohe Osazuwa: Good job girl you have said it all I am going to email you just look at for it please thanks

tattiana kaonga: What type of black caster oil do you use Mo?

Sandra Fairley: Love your video to the point

Good Vibes: I need to take sum vitamins but your hair looks good n its healthy n thick

Courtney Williams: Vitamin D & C, Iron, Biotin and Zinc to grow hair

kokolynn17: I enjoyed you talk to you about the Nature's Bounty. Because I take those and I've been pretty consistent with it and it does nothing for me my body's like oh this candy LOL because I see no change in my hair my face I do other stuff for my nails grow pretty long on their own hair nothing nothing LOL so I thought maybe it's just me and my body just doesn't know how to handle things

Latoya Shabazz: My hair is like that as well on the ends dry and brittle. And I cut the back like a undercut because it looked terrible. But I am also iron deficient so I think my levels are real low. I just started taking Megafood Blood Builder hopefully my hair grows better

Very KinkyCurl: Yeah when this ends look like that let them go. Mines did late last year and I got rid of them, glad I did.

Edna Togba: you are so beautiful! i love your spirit!

TRH: Good information...thank you

Sidonie Fafa: I can't stop looking at your nose. You glowing!!!

restless journey: Do you ever wear protective styles for more than a month?

michelle apple: i'm so pissed that I went natural. I wish someone would have told me its a lot of work...ughhhhh my hair has changed a lot. Yes with age your hair changes. Mine is dry dry dry and brittle. Can someone recommend shampoo and conditioner...please

Alexia Pratt: You’re sooo gorgeous

Ciara Myers: do you take iron pills??? Mine is low and my hair shed as well long pieces though

Ameika Gray: I have fine 4c hair also, is it OK to dye my hair?

Tammy Moore: You have good growth for a year!

plumper: We must be twins my hair is identical to yours

Ms.L Durden: Thank you

PreppyFay12: I’m curious do you use a lot of hair tools and brushes to detangle your hair? I’m trying out exclusively finger detangling my 4B/4C hair during the wash and styling portion and only using a tool prior to shampooing with a slimy prepoo like Just for me curl peace prepoo. Im wondering if tools are contributing more to my breakage and shedding.

UniquelyBronze: I just did a second big chop on my oldest daughter I’m thinking about chopping mine off again.

tracy f: sis...what kind of scissors are you using? Beautiful

Windlilly Lawson: My hair is just like yours

T: So many of my favourite YouTubers are cutting off their damaged hair... y’all need to stop playing in your hair so much

Adrienne Samantha: Your accent is very cool. Which state are you from? I am from the UK xx
