Welcome to my channel, if you're new here my name is lina super glad to have you here, so today's video is obviously going to be my hair care routine. A lot of you guys have asked for this video. Honestly, i'm exaggerating it there, maybe like a few of you asked for it, so this video is dedicated to those few of you who have asked ask so i'm gon na be covering everything from how long i've been growing. My hair, my hair care routine, some tips on growth and keeping your hair healthy and obviously all the products that i use. I am not a hair care specialist. I got a degree in communications, not hair, so i may be wrong about some things, but this is personally what worked for me and obviously, what works for me might not work for you. All of us have beautiful different hair types. I feel, like my forehead, looks kind of huge right now, it's okay, it's kind of a look, really quick, a little history on my hair. I honestly started growing it really long since elementary school. It actually comes from a really funny origin history. When i was like five or six years old, my mom went and got my hair cut and for some god-forsaken reason she thought it was a good idea to do one of those mushroom cuts. You know those cuts that are like right here. I look like asian dora. You know it like traumatized me so much that ever since then i vowed to never cut my hair short. I remember as a kid i was so angry at my mom for cutting my hair so short, but honestly, looking back now, it builds a lot of character if you've never had your hair cut to that length, you're missing out, because if your parents did that to You too, as a kid we're stronger because of it, even when i'm like an 80 year old grandma, i'm gon na have hair down to my butt, because at this point my hair is like part of my personality. So it's not going back but yeah like everyone. I definitely made a lot of mistakes when it came to my hair for one i've dyed my hair before, like a few years ago, when i was going through it. Oh, my no god i don't know what it is, but when i'm going through it in life, i just want to do a drastic change to myself. So i dyed it a few years ago, and that was a horrible decision, because whoever did my hair messed it up bad! Oh my god. What is that? Oh, my god, what is that i've also dealt with hair loss? Growing up, i played basketball, and so i would always tie my hair super duper tight, high, ponytail slicked back with gel. It was so tight to the point. I had a headache and doing this every single day i noticed some hair loss. I also noticed i lose a lot of hair when i'm anxious or feeling really stressed so yeah my hair and i have definitely been through a lot. So i try to get a trim every six to eight months. I don't know if you can see, but i'm very overdue, for a trim. You guys don't need to comment about it. I know i'm gon na get a trim very soon. I have so many split ends right now, but as for how often i wash my hair not gon na lie, i wash my hair every one to two days, which is honestly more frequent than i want, but i do work out like five to six times a Week so my hair gets oily and it gets oily fast and having black hair. When it's oily, you see the oil, okay, fun fact: i'm super cheap. When it comes to hair products, i will not spend more than twenty dollars on a hair product. It'S just! No! Please ignore how dirty these bottles are. I actually installed dispensers in my shower, so i don't use these bottles. I just like pour it out in there and, as you can see, this is their repairing shampoo and conditioner. I get this as a set on amazon for like 10 bucks, so this is a sulfate and paraben free, shampoo and conditioner um. Don'T ask me what any of that means all. I know i think parabens and sulfates strips away the moisture in your hair, which i can definitely tell with this - is my hair feeling really soft and really clean. So i use shampoo and conditioner on my hair every other day or every two days and once a week i do use a hair mask my all-time. Favorite hair mask my yellow. I think that's how you say it: it's the rosemary, mint, strengthening hair mask and when i use it, i leave it on for like 15 minutes, and i wash it out, and this stuff leaves my hair feeling so soft and so smooth, and this is actually really Lightweight, i noticed with a lot of hair mask. It feels really heavy and really thick. Apparently, this helps with hair growth. This is my next holy grail product. If you don't oil, your hair already, you are missing out. Okay. Ever since i noticed a little bit of hair loss, i started oiling my hair like once or twice a week and i've noticed a huge difference. So this is the myell rosemary, mint, scalp and hair strengthening oil and it's super cheap. It'S like, i think it's like. Also dollars, which is great, save money, look better. What up you guys it's lena on voiceover, so i'm showing you how i oil my hair. I basically just take some drops. I add it into my hair kind of randomly and then i focus it and massage it. In with my fingers, i also take some extra and put it towards the ends of my hair for my split ends, and then i put it up in a claw clip and i leave it in for like 15-20 minutes. So usually, while i wait for it to sit, i try to do something productive with my life, so let's go and vacuum together. 20 minutes later, let's go wash our hair together, so i take it out of the cloth clip and then i start washing the oil out of my hair first, i just start off with water to get the oil out, but that alone doesn't help. So you want to use shampoo, i use like a quarter size amount and i massage it in with my fingers, and i focus this only on my scalp. I don't put shampoo on the roots of my hair, as i wash i let the shampoo kind of just rinse down my hair. Next, i take the myell hair mask my literal favorite hair mask on days. I use my hair mask. I don't put on conditioner. I only focus it on the middle and ends of my hair, and then i leave it in for 10 minutes, um all showered up and cleaned my hair still drenched um, since i have so much hair. If i leave it wet like this and walk around the house, it's like a mob dude. I will leave all the floors drenched, so i have towel dry, half air dry. I never blow dry. My hair. I don't even remember the last time i blow dry, my hair towel dry, just very gently - please. I don't know that much about hair, but i do know that you're not supposed to do one of these. You know this thing i learned through my hairstyle is that you are not supposed to do that when you shake your hair like that you're causing breakage in your hair. You know your hair is really delicate, so shoot your hair nicely towel dry just by squeezing out the water in your hair. Just so it's not like super damp, and then i take one of these babies right here. A wide tooth comb, if you don't have one of these, what are you doing you know? What are you doing? You need to get one of these because, like i said your hair's super delicate when it's wet, so this just causes less breakage. My hair is a little bit more dry, so now i'm going to take my wide tooth comb and just comb through. I go only like midway and i do the ends later and the reason why i do the ends last is because usually some of my tangles are in the end, and i want to be really delicate with my hair. I don't want to rip it out. I hold like the middle part of my hair and then i gently try to brush it out while it's damp, i use this hair food damage, recovery, hair, serum, it's made with hemp, extract and manuka honey. It'S selfie free, paraben, free and dye free i'll, be honest with you guys, half the reason why i use this is because it smells really good. I also did notice. It adds a little bit of a shine to my hair. You could also get this off of amazon, just a few extra tips on taking care of your hair, so first limit heat use on your hair. I personally love curling, my hair, but i only like to use heat on my hair, if i really have to other than that, i try to keep it natural or do some type of braid or some cute cloth clip hairstyle, because obviously heat damages the [ __ ] out of your hair second tip, if you are using heat, always use heat, protectant spray it in your hair. Before you use heat, wait, 10 minutes, let it dry and then you could use heat on your hair. This just adds that extra protective barrier for your hair, so that your hair doesn't get absolutely burned by the heat third, is to use dry shampoo, especially on the days that you're, not washing your hair. This stuff saves my life, because my hair gets super oily really fast. It helps you not have to wash so frequently. Fourth use some type of hair oil. This leaves your hair looking really shiny and moisturized. I like using argan oil, smells really nice. It makes your hair look, super soft and shiny and finally be patient with your hair and love your hair. The way it is something is so beautiful about the fact that everyone has such different hair types and hairstyles so embrace your hair, embrace your natural hair. Also, if you're trying to grow out your hair be patient with your hair, it does not grow five inches overnight. I hope this video helped if you have any more hair questions, leave them in the comments. I check every single comment. I love you guys so much
