Five, what up beauty gang so, as you guys can tell by today's title, i am showing you guys how i prep my natural hair for protective style, but not just any protective style and probably not the protective style you guys are assuming, because you know i know, I'M team wig season most of the time, but i'm actually getting my hair did for my birthday trip coming out real soon. I ain't gon na tell y'all just yet what hairstyle i'm getting but just know it ain't wigs. It is a protective style. So therefore, today i'm going to be showing you guys how i prep my hair for it with the help of tangle teaser, shout out to tangle teaser for sponsoring today's video, i will be using their new tangle, teaser, naturally curly hair brush, which specifically was designed for Naturally, curly and corny natural hair, so aka 3c to 4c. This is for our hair types. Ladies, i'm super excited to try their new tangle teaser out as well as just wash my hair. Prepare it for this trip this vacation, i'm about to go! Oh y'all, even ready for the looks honestly anyway. I didn't ramble enough, so let's go ahead and get into this video all right beauty gang. So, as my og's know, first step is to go ahead and drench. My hair after my hair is fully drenched. I go ahead and apply a plethora of conditioner to help my hair with this manageability and slip. As i begin to detangle my hair now i have sectioned my hair already into four sections. This is me working on the first section, as you can see. I did add a little bit more conditioner to the section and smoothed it through my hair before creating this very first subsection. As you can see here, i start with finger detangling, just making sure the product is through my hair and the section is pretty detangled, but then now i'm going in with the tangle teaser, naturally curly brush, and this is in real time you guys. I wanted you guys to see how smooth it makes my hair and that's because of the brush's short teeth. It smooths the cuticle, leaving my hair frizz free now after i'm done thoroughly detangling the subsection. As you can see here, i'm going to go ahead and two strand twist that section away and continue the same exact process on all parts of my hair. So again here going in with the tangle teezer, naturally curly hair brush. As you can see, i started from the bottom and worked my way up to the roots, which leaves each section with a super smooth, fully detangled finish so again, as you can see here, i'm two strand twisting the section away, and i am done already with the Back of my hair, i just want to show you guys my og's. No, usually, i have way more sections in the back of my hair than this, but today i was able to work with bigger sections because of the tangle tees or naturally curly brush. It covers way more hair and can handle dense sections so moving on, i'm going to just show you guys one or two more times. I was really impressed personally by this brush, starting from in and working my way up to the root again. This is in real time, ladies and gentlemen, it is just gliding. Through my hair, like with ease and y'all know, i have thick type 4 hair, so this was. This was a dream for me personally, i'd highly recommend it to anybody who has a similar hair type as me, or just that density like have a lot of hair on your head. This is it's this now last time. Look at that glide look at the glide and look at the amount of section that i am gliding this brush through y'all. It'S incredible honestly! So, just like that, i am already done fully detangling. My hair put it in chunky sections now it's time to go ahead and rinse it all out. Once i'm done rinsing out the conditioner i go in with my pantene gold series, moisture boost shampoo, y'all know this is my staple shampoo that i love to use because it doesn't strip my hair whatsoever. As you can see, i am going in making sure i definitely get to that scalp and the roots and stuff. Obviously i said i am going into a protective style, so making sure that scalp is clean is a must. Now i'm going to go ahead and rinse out all that shampoo, then when that's all rinsed out it's time to go in with a hair mask. This is a protective style we are prepping for so it is very necessary for me to make sure that my hair is well nourished and taken care of prior to putting it away for a while. So, as you can see here, i'm actually thoroughly coating the section by running my fingers through it and after i feel, like all the strands have been coated, i go ahead and two strand twist the section away. I continue the same process all throughout my hair. This by the way is not me re-detangling, my hair, my hair is already detangled. This is just me making sure that all the strands get thoroughly coated in this hair mask basically on some no strands left behind type energy, so i am pretty heavy-handed when it comes to this process as well, once i'm done applying the hair mask to all my Sections, as you guys can see, making sure it's in the front back all over i'm going to go ahead and ponytail, we'll bun it bun it away alrighty gang, so i am freshly out the shower. I left the mask in for about 30 45 minutes. I am loving the way my hair feels it feels very soft, it's not like super moisturized, but it doesn't feel stripped and that's what i am going for so now, i'm actually going to switch it up. This is the first time i'm gon na actually try to stretch my hair heatless stretch, my hair prior to getting it put into a protective style, so i'm gon na actually use these chunky sections that i made add like some styling cream a little bit oil to Put that moisture back in my hair and then braid it up so that it will be relatively stretched. So i don't have to put as much heat on it because my oh geez, no, i recently had dang hair just splattered me in my face. I recently had um issues with my hair. My curl pattern: there's a lot of videos on my youtube channel if you're interested in actually finding out all this transpired so far with my hair. But a big thing i was added about this year is limiting the amount of heat that i put on my hair, not saying that i won't end up blow drying it, but for now i would just like to stretch it and let it air dry. So that's what i'm going to go ahead and do oh. It feels so clean like squeaky, clean and soft. I love it. I want to make sure the sections are like really really really detangled, so that when i take the braids out ain't, no fufu stuff going on where snags and tangles and all that stuff is. If i didn't do what i'm about to do so, i'm gon na go ahead and speed through this process. It'S pretty self-explanatory to lego, even though i did say self-explanatory, which i still think it is. I do want to make sure. I just explain to you guys what in particular i'm doing here now, as you can see, i'm using the tangled teaser, naturally curly brush and going from end to root, but now once i have it fully detangled, i make sure that i focus in on the root In particular, i want that to be as smooth as possible and obviously very detangled so that when i take it out and use my blow dryer to just make sure it's fully elongated for this protective style that i don't have any issues any breakage any anything. So once the entire section is smooth and detangled, i'm just gon na braid it away and that's the same exact process, i'm gon na do for all the sections in my hair. Oh so i am completely done. Braiding up my hair, i know it looks like i went a little heavy-handed when i was little. I definitely went heavy-handed, but that was intentional because i'm going to allow my hair to air dry for a good 48 hours, maybe a little bit more. So my hair should be fully dry by the time i decide to stretch my hair out a little bit more with a blow dryer just a little bit, because you know i got ta, get the cranks and stuff out, but for the most part my hair will Be stretched so the goal was, it will be to use as minimal amount of heat as possible. So that's why i decided to be a little bit heavy-handed, so my hair gets very nourished and moisturized and it dries in there by the time i decide to actually blow dry, because usually i don't like blow dry, my hair with a lot of product in it. The last step to this routine, my oils y'all, already know my og's already know it: ain't, no protective style prep without the oils. In particular, i'm gon na go ahead and add a little bit of jamaican black, castor oil to my edges for shelf a show and then also just all over the braids that moisture locked in there. Then i'm gon na go ahead and add the other og oil. In my part, so as you'll see, i'm gon na run it down the back, run it all in that kitchen area back there just kind of trying to oil, the crap out of my scalp and obviously also promote healthy hair growth in the process. Again, i'm going to allow my hair to air dry for a couple days so that oil will seep in my hair, my scalp and dry up by the time i needed to as well so yeah, i'm gon na go ahead and let all that moisture just do What it needs to do, but that is all i have for you guys. I really hope you guys enjoyed this video again shout out to tangle teaser's new, naturally curly brush this. This junk not only sped up my wash day routine, but also made this process extremely easy. For me, y'all know my og's know i have very thick hair. It takes me hours to do and i feel, like i just breeze past this whole entire process. Thanks to the tangle, teaser, naturally curly brush. So if you are interested in checking this brush out for yourself, there is a link in the description box below that you can go ahead and click on, so you can get your hands on one and hopefully speed up your uh wash day or styling routine as Well so yeah i'm gon na go ahead and give you guys one more 360, so y'all can see this hairstyle is actually low-key, really cute, but yeah you guys. That is all i have for. You guys really hope you guys enjoyed this video. Please don't forget to like comment share subscribe. If you are new cause, beauty cake is clearly linked. Let me get extra okay and until next time, guys bye,
