Hi everybody welcome back to you tips for you today. I have some tips for those of you with curly hair curly hair is beautiful, but it's also more sensitive to dryness and curly hair has to be treated much more delicately than other hair types. Curly hair dries up. Quick gets dry quicker because the scalp oils that naturally come down the hair shaft to condition your hair often don't make it down that far. A lot of people think that curly hair is very Corson and hard and thick, but it's really baby. Fine and soft, most of the time very soft hair, so some tips for you um. First of all, don't shampoo your hair too often, those of you with curly hair should really try to limit your shampooing and washing your hair to once a week now in between, you can rinse your hair and use a moisturizer or conditioner on the ends to keep It nice and soft and manageable, but shampooing it too much is just going to create dried out. Frizzy, hair, okay you'll also want to use as little heat as possible. If you can, air drying is always best. It'S what brings up the curl. So if you need to use a blow dryer be sure you get a diffuser device that goes on the end of your blow dryer and you and it kind of, looks like a big round attachment and it goes on the end and it keeps the heat away From the hair but distributes it in such a way that it keeps the curl in the hair, another tip that I have for you is when you come out of the shower or you just washed your hair. Don'T rub your hair just tell put the towel around your head and then, if your hair is still dripping, you just kind of gently scrunch it a little bit like this to remove the excess moisture you don't want to be rough on the hair uses little products As you can, moisturizing products are good, leaving conditioners, but not too much because you don't want to weigh the hair down, don't want to. You want to allow that natural curl to to spring to life and to come to life. Now, if you're, looking for a hair, stylist be picky, cutting curly hair is really an art and its really it's very it's much very much a specialty so do try to find a stylist who specializes in curly hair, if you're having trouble - and you see someone on The street and you love their hair, and it's so much yours ask the girl where she got her hair cut and then she'll tell you and you can go to that person and when you go to the salon, be sure that you have a consultation. First, sit down: let her look at your hair when it's dry without products in it in stylish as she can get a good feel for what your hair is like, or he, if you have a male stylist and they can determine what's best for your hair before You wet it down and the types of cuts that work well with curly hair. Well, you don't want to go too much into the curly hair and cut it up. You want it to be more on the natural messy kind of styling way you can cut into it a bit and add some layers. That'S always nice, perhaps around the face or at the ends, but you don't want to cut into it too much. You don't want to disturb the natural the natural fall of the curl, and even, if you're, for those of you that have wavy hair, the same principle goes. You want to make sure that when you have a haircut that you start the haircut where the natural wave folds like if you have wavy hair and it's long and you want long layers, be sure to pay attention where your natural wave begins. Because if you cut too short, you're going to lose that natural wave and you're going to create a situation where your hair gets pooped out or it behaves irrationally and you can't style it at all and for really curly hair like we're talking about try to avoid Those blood shortcuts, because then your hair tends to just really poof out straight, so longer cuts work better for really curly hair. I think there's nothing prettier than long curly, ringlet type hair and again you can keep it controlled by cutting some layers into which you don't want to go crazy and never have a razor used. Your hair so tell your stylist no razors, because it's just going to contribute to frizz now, of course, in the summer months and times like that, your hair can be subject to more frizzing. So what you can do that to avoid that is to use a little bit of an anti-frizz serum and of makes a nice one. It'S called intense, anti frizz and just put that on your hair, when you need to try to calm the frizzing down. Also, when you do your use, your blow-dryer, using a cool setting, will help that and anybody who has hair that's prone to frizzing using the blow dryer on the cool setting when you're done drying, your hair will close the cuticle and it will help minimize frizzing. I do it as well, so if I'm blow drying my hair and I'm you know considering myself finished, I will bloat. I will hit my hair now with the cool setting to to close the cuticle, and so I can avoid frizzing as much as like. So I hope those of you with curly hair will find this video helpful. It'S definitely a specialty hair area, like I said, you're going to have to seek out a special stylist who will work well with your hair, and if you, you know, if you walk into a salon and you sit down in the chair talking to the salon, stylist And you just don't feel comfortable with her she's, not letting you feel like, or he is not letting you feel comfortable or like they're understanding what you want. You know move on, don't don't don't stay or just say you're going to think about it. You want the right combination of your personality and their personality so that you find something that really works for you and lots of times. Bringing in a picture can be very helpful and then you can ask them. Will this work for me because a lot of times we love a hair style, but it just will not work for us and you know: you'll want the honest opinion, because you don't want a hairstyle that you have to work so hard to try to mimic it On your hair, because you're just going to fight an uphill battle, and that's especially true with curly hair, you have to be very careful with that. Hair wearing curly hair, as i said longer, is always beneficial because the weight of the curve of the of the hair, especially if coarse curly hair, will help to keep the hairline flat and straighter. If you want - and you know, if you have a few curls that didn't curl up and they're kind of unruly - can always take a little curling iron and just wrap it around for a second and pull the hair out and just give that little curl a little Boost so I hope you have found this video helpful over those of you with curly hair and I hope you will subscribe, because I have a lot more videos to come thanks so much for viewing - and I will see you soon but by now

jrandjanet: This video was very helpful. I have never had curly hair, when I turned 35, I noticed my hair thinning out considerably and started getting random ringlets in my otherwise straight hair. I got my hair cut short in a bob to get rid of them and now Im pretty much curly everywhere but the curls dont form until after about 3 inches from my crown. Im a total triangle frizz head. The layering makes sense now, and I really am tired of flat ironing every day.

kimber01051972: Thank you for doing these tips. I have wavy to slight curly hair and my hair is thick and is course. People think nmy hair is dry by the look of it but is very soft and are amazed when they feel it.

nikkipuddin: Thanks! Us curlies are feeling some love finally!!

Kristiniskool: I have a question for ya. Whenever I try to curl my hair with a curling iron, the curls go back to being straight like 5 minutes later! Curls just won't stay in my hair. Would you have any idea why it does that?

SuperInspired: I have super curly hair and I was brave and got an inverted bob, but my stylist and I talked, she cut it a little longer than she would on a straight haired person. I looks cute straight or curly! You can be brave with your hair it will grow back.

Vegan Deterioration: I have extremely curly hair lol, U have great advice in all ur videos u kno exactly what you are talking about

BonjourBlooms: Fantastic tips! Thanks!

AndreaJuliet: Hi, I have very oily skin on my face, chest, etc...Does that mean I would have an oily scalp too? I used to be able to go days with out washing my hair and not looking at all greasy...but now if I go more than 3 days w/o washing its very very greasy & I think I start to get dermatitis (itch & flakes...) This is an off the subject question, but for oily skin, is NA-PCA spray (the one with aloe) a good moisturizer for the face? So many moisturizers break me out & are too heavy. Thanks!

Ashlyn Tsai: i have superr curly hair! this helped a lot thanks!

spike3leg: @brawyn777 I found out on a youtube clip (i cant remember the name sorry!) that if you put olive oil in your hair whilst washing it will get rid of frizz. It does work for me but only if i use it on all hair below the chin so it doesnt get greasy. I usually do it after rinsing out shampoo and i put conditioner straight on afterwards without rinsing. Hope this helps!!! xx <3

rileybrat: I have really curly hair and NOTHING works. It's really, really, really frizzy and so frustrating. I live in the Caribbean and it's so hot and humid. I don't wash it too often and I've tried sooo many different products but the frizz will not go away or even lessen. My mum used to be a hairdresser and I'v tried everything she can think of. UGH!

SKE1966: You know;;;Believe me I have long curly hair that is thin also. Most people straigthen their hair, but not me. My hair is free following. Thanks for the tips.

Sinthuya Vigneswaran: finger combing is an option also you can use a wide tooth comb

XxPnuemaxX: Y'know what's a GREAT product for defining my curls? Paul Mitchell original conditioner, I use it as a leave in in my length and it's amazing. And super skinny serum helps my hair be really soft and shiny. It's kind of sad how straight hair is so, the norm now! I have a friend who has beautiful brown, long, curly hair, and she straightens it. I know it's a free country but I wanna like, give her a makeover =P

Kristiniskool: Continued from my last comment - I even put hair spray in it but that doesn't help either. On the other hand, my hair will curl if I braid it when it's wet. But my hair just will not stay curled with a curling iron. And the problem with braiding my hair while it's wet is that it takes forever to dry that way, and it gets more tangled that way. So I'd like to do it with a curling iron, but that doesn't work.

sarahthegr8er: thanks, some really good tips!

AquaCatClaws: hey thank u sooo much i luuuv these tips and i spent alot of time researching for my hair but this gives much more benefit ! =) on ur blog it said abt a product i could use ( my hair is wavy but it curls the wetter it is ) it was dove frizz control sumthing sumthing .. yeah is it light enuff for everyday use ? or will it kill my hair ?

chaitu2010: Your videos are amazing.

kahleensalazar: hey..thanks for d great video but should we comb curly hair??i have really curly sping like hair wich gets tangles when i wake up d next dat n removing it with my fingers well messes it up more..n i comb it wth a wide tooth comb instead but den d curls break n it becomes bushy n wavy..so i end up rinsing it again..also is oiling it before shampooing helpful?

sj1605: @YouTips4U thank u for ur response. Yea she's such a cute girl. But she wont keep anything on her hair so tying it is not an option unfortunately. I personally love the special fx silk drops for my hair even though its straight. Do you think that is ok to use on a two year old's hair? I have tried the baby detangling products. I hate them.

Emily Gregory: hi all, my hair is very curly, waist lenght, but, it is soooo fuzzy, does anyone know of any home remedies for getting the fuzz out of the hair, the hair serum for frizzy hair ia quite expensive,so i was wondering what else i could use, thanks, great day to all

Juan Baphomet: @YouTips4U Me too,Im a guy,My hair is wavish,Its like a little lower of the middle of my back, and sometimes my hair, gets DRY,And what I do is get 3 oil conditioner,And just massage it to my roots to my tips,And...I dont trim because I brush my hair only once a month...SO ...What do you recommend,ALSO,I wash my hair every 2 days,And,I use the garnier 3 oil,Am I doing right? What do you recommend?

Akamia09: I have curly hair... and I use shampoo everyday... O_o is there any other way to clean my hair without the use of shampoo? D: I wanna try not to use shampoo everyday, but I just don't like the feeling of not cleaning my hair using shampoo... ): please help... :D how will you know if it's a genlte shampoo? and yes, this is so helpful, once I get a hang of how to take care of my hair... I'll start loving it ... :) I hate my hair before... XD

kaylantgibson: this is very good info.

jlsasi: this woman is wise, i have very curly hair, and im terrified to cut it because not everyone is able to do it, they might cut straight hair nicely, but it doesnt mean they can deal with curly hair. Sometimes just to cut the tips of my hair they end up cutting so much that i lose all the length i have gained, and for me to grow my hair is extremely hard

Denise: Hi. Is Safe To Use Or Try Differents Products? My Hair Is Curly,Damaged & Weak

Michelle Bonnee-Clay: Water lily I have very long hair not quite as curly as yours. I wish it was. I use to be licensed as a hairdresser and curly hair was never actively sought out. Your hair does not frizz easily. If I pulled my curly hair apart mine would go very frizzy. I use to use Matrix Vavoom curly hair gel and it would get my hair as curly and ringlet perfect as yours. What products do you use? One thing; I use to live on the beach in San Diego, when I would go swimming my hair would dry soooo perfect. But a

Akamia09: @YouTips4U ... so shampoo is for the scalp? and conditioner is the the hair itself? O_o

sj1605: mY daughter is 2 and a half yrs old. Her hair is so fine and curly and frizzy. I have no idea how to take care of it. its more frizzy in the back. I have straight hair so i do not know how to care for her hair. please help.
