Thank you for visiting my channel, Elle Florence. I'm a Vancouver based lawyer by day, fashion blogger and business owner by night!

Hello, everyone and welcome back to my channel so in today's much requested video, I'm going to show you all of my steps to take my hair from greasy to glamorous, including how I style it and what products I like to use. One of my favorite tricks is to do an apple, cider, vinegar, rinse. Instead of a clarifying shampoo, I find that it's gentler on my hair and makes it really shiny. So if you want to know one of my secrets, that's it so I used that diluted and then my living proof shampoo, which actually really does help to keep my hair, smoother and cleaner for longer. This video is not sponsored. I have been really liking their products. Recently, those so that's a lot of what I use in this video. I also really like their deep conditioner as I do the macadamia deep conditioner and then the only leave-in product I really use is the living proof style extender which really helps to repel humidity. I'Ve noticed - and I use just a little bit of that and then I sleep on my hair, so that's another big trick of mine. I find that my hair is so much smoother, so you can see it's not too too frizzy the next day. So this was filmed the next morning you can see. I definitely have quite a bit of wave, but it's been flattened significantly from sleeping on a silk pillowcase. What I like to do is start off by smoothing out the bangs and adding some volume with a round brush. If I were to wear my hair straight, I would do this to all of my hair, but in today's video I'm going to style it curly, which is kind of like one of my signature, looks because I do it without a curling iron and with a flat Iron instead and it lasts for three whole days up to four days, if I use some dry shampoo as well and I'll link the one that I like down below what I then do is I use a little comb and my good old, really beaten up duties To curl all of my hair - and I love how bouncy this looks, I feel like it does damage my hair less than if I were to use a curling iron, and my hair just needs a quick touch-up the next day, because the curl stays in really really Well, that is partly thanks to my natural wave, but it's also thanks to the fact that it really gets sealed into my hair, which at that point is really really dry as well in a way, sometimes isn't. If I were to blow-dry it straight away after I've washed it, so I think this whole process really helps to just keep my hair looking nice, even in a wet humid climate like we have here in Vancouver. So I showed you quite a few different curls that I did through various sections. I usually do three sections and I take a pretty big chunks of hair whenever I go to the hairdresser and they curl my hair. They use sections that are about a third of this size, but I do not have the patience for that nor the time, and so I do really big chunks and even though each CRO may not be perfect. As a result of that, I think that actually adds to the look and makes it look a little bit less done and less prom like as well. I love how the curls kind of loosen over the next three days so that I end up with more of a kind of blow-dried loose curl finish. So it starts off being more bouncy kind of print curl looking and then it just ends up being something that I can kind of progress with over the next few days, and that really helps me out because styling my hair does take quite a while there's just No way around that, if you'd like to see my no fuss, no style curly, hair routine, I will link that for you down below it's a really pretty video I filmed in Hawaii. I do like my natural curl pattern. If I do a good job of using product and letting it air dry, but I don't love it if I sleep on it, and so that requires me to wash my hair every single morning, which I don't like to do with the time that I'm waking up In the morning and going to work on all of that, so this kind of like more styled curl works for me because it lasts three days and then I tend to wear my hair, naturally curly when I'm on vacation another trick of mine to get that volume That I really love is to use the Oribe dry texturizing spray instead of hairspray. I think it gives you a lot of the same effect in terms of setting the hair and get helping to repel humidity, but it gives way more separation and kind of blow-dried. Bouncy finish than any hairspray that I've ever tried. I will link the hairspray that I use down below, but I use it very seldom because I find I don't need it and then what I really like to you is to then add a little bit of product to the end. Sometimes I use a little more of this if my hair has some split ends and it's a bit more dry and a little bit less if I just want the scent and the shine, so my top tips are to take care of your scalp, the vinegar, hair Rinse works well for me with that, don't use more product than you need and sleeping on it and not processing your hair more than you need to also really helps to maintain both my style and the health of my hair. So that is it for this video. I hope you found it insightful. Thank you so much for watching and I will see you in my next installment on style.

Dolores Of Course: Thank you for the update! I really wish I could be one of the people who can wash their hair every few days. I have to do a head to toe washing every day or I can't stand myself. I do let it air dry to bring out the curl, so I'm not a complete monster.

Tia Evans-Snaith: Also!! Your hair when you first wake up is my everyday goals ❣️ effortless waves

Regina Oglesby: My hair is nothing like yours but the advice is so good: clean scalp and not overusing product. Princess Bebe bath bomber <3

Nicola Smith: I love the curls with a straightener - I can just never end up doing it on myself no matter how hard I try.

Katie Thomas: You're natural texture is so enviable!

Ana H.: Elle you are absolutely gorgeous! I admire your style, elegance and beauty!!!

JuneJupiter: Thanks for the video! I have a similar hair texture to you with a bit more curl, so this is helpful! How do you prevent frizz on misty rainy days? Do you have to redo your hair?

Thais Siqueira: I love it!!!! Your hair is similar to mine and I loved the way you stylized. Kisses from Brasil

Gloria Qiu: Your hair looks amazing even without the styling! Will go to see the natural hair routine. How to do the ACV rinse exactly?

Mary Callahan: Your hair is absolutely beautiful! Thank you for sharing!

Maria M: Another thought: I know you focus on Living Proof in this video, but it would be cool if you got a GHD sponsorship, considering that you've demonstrated the long lasting quality of their flatiron. Plus it'll be a great opportunity to finally get a new one :-)

social decade: i'm living for this look!

Kelly Brooks: Wow ! I always thought you used a curling iron . Fabulous results with the iron!

Rust and Ribbons: Super helpful! Thank u!

Amy: Your hair is really beautiful!

Sarah S: How long do you find that a can of the Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray lasts you? I'm trying to figure out whether the amount of use justifies the price. I find that even though I use Batiste Dry Shampoo fairly infrequently the cans run out quickly. Thank you for updating your hair routine! Would you please do a video on polished up-dos?

Maria Virgen Berrios: Gorgeous! Thank you for sharing!

Tia Evans-Snaith: Elle!! I need a silk pillow case review please. I been DYING to get one but I honestly don’t know any good brands or where to find them or even how to wash them properly. Could you please make a video about silk pillowcases ❣️

Hang Nguyen: Your hair is so beautiful!

g: yay so excited! thanks for doing this elle!

Roselyntina_3: Wow u r like a professional hairstylist ‍♀️ very beautiful

Maria M: Completely unrelated, but have you seen the Chanel Spring/Summer 2019 runway show? It would be interesting to get a reaction video from you on the pieces as they come down the runway. :-)

myra Longoria: Thank You beautiful

Samantha Parrish: I laughed so hard when she mentioned Vancouver as humid. Honey have you been to Alabama?! I swear in the summer you'll need a shower after going to the mailbox! Lol

Beverley Roberts: You've got beautiful hair Elle, and a beautiful dark colour too. My hair is similar to yours, naturally curly and a bit frizzy. But you are lucky to have thicker hair at the ends than I have. Never had hair straighteners but after watch your videos now thinking of getting some. One of the best products I have used is Secret Argan Oil hair serum, you can get from Amazon, in my opinion the best hair serum ever! Thanks for the video, always admire your gorgeous hair! x

Chi Tran: Hi. Love all your videos. Can you give a link to your comb?
