Hi guys, my name is michelle and i create hair makeup and lifestyle content here on youtube. Today, i'm doing a review and a demo of the arata hair cream and the hair gel. So if that sounds like something that interests you then keep watching. So i'm gon na style, my hair now and i'm gon na rush through this a bit because you've already seen how i style my hair. It'S exactly the same. Please note that today i deep conditioned because it's been so long since i've deep conditioned and my hair really really needed it so yeah. That is the only difference between this review and the other reviews that i've posted on this channel. So keep that in mind. So i'm just getting my hair wet and i'm going in with some leave-in conditioner, then i'm taking the arata hair cream, which is a styling product. This is what it looks like i'm only taking this much and then i'm forming my curl clams as usual, gel leave-in conditioner now. Lastly, i'm just going to take some more gel about this much tilt, my head to the front, touch my hair and scrunch okay. So i'm gon na plop keep my plop on for 30 minutes. Then air dry, my hair, and be right back alright, so my hair is completely dry now i have to scrunch out the crunch all right. So these are my results. Now, let's talk about the products, so first we have the arata hair cream. Now this is a styling product. It is moisturizing as well, but it would be wrong of me to tell you that you can use this without a leave-in conditioner. So now, with the arata products, i definitely noticed that there was a learning curve and let me explain what i mean so for the first few washes i used just the hair cream and the gel and my results weren't that great what i noticed was when i Was using too much of it that my hair was feeling very weighed down and greasy, and when i was using too little of it, my hair was very dry and didn't feel moisturized. Then i decided to use the product in conjunction with a leave-in conditioner, and my results were much better, so i would say that definitely use a leave-in conditioner if you're styling with these two products. Now, if you have type 3 curls, then you will love this product, whereas if your hair is wavy, you might not like this product. So much so i have wavy hair and i have high porosity hair, and that means that my hair can tolerate some heavier products. But if i use too much of this, then my hair feels extremely greasy and extremely oily. So what i would say is if you're a wavy girl, even if you're high porosity, you can totally do without this product. But if you have curls, which means, if you have type 3 hair, then you are absolutely going to love this product. But if your hair is low to medium porosity, i would say that you could skip this product. You don't need it in your lineup when you're styling. Another thing for me to note is that when you're emulsifying this product, then a little water is really nice to mix in with the product. While application i've tried using this on its own, which means to say that i tried to emulsify it when it was dry and it did not help with the spreadability of the product. So keep that in mind now the gel this gel initially gave me so many problems. Now. Let me explain why whenever you're using new products, there is always going to be a learning curve, so i was using this gel mixed in with a little bit of water. I was emulsifying and then i was applying, which means that i was using very little gel and that did not work for me. My hair had no bounds, it had no flare, it had no body no volume. So then i tried upside down styling with the gel and again i used some water with the gel, which means that i was using too little and that did not work for me either. My results were no different. My curls were extremely limp and felt very soggy and soft. So then that led me to believe that maybe i have like a moisture overload, so i skipped out on the moisture started using protein products in conjunction with the styling duo, and that did not help either. I did the upright styling that i usually do. My results were not great. I finally decided not to mix the gel in with any water, and i saw if that made a difference, and that absolutely did keep in mind that i have high porosity 2b hair and my density is medium. Now. Also, keep in mind that this gel, i would say, is in between a three and four hole. So it's not quite a three it's a little harder, but it's not a four either it's a little softer than a four. Now. What you need to decide is what kind of a curly girl are you and what are your preferences when it comes to your results? Do you really really enjoy glossy beautiful definition in your curls, or do you prefer some texture, some volume, you don't mind frizz as long as you have that nice line main head, this gel will give you the former, which means to say that this gel is going To give you beautiful definition, your hair is going to be extremely glossy. I mean the moment you use a gel without alcohol and you look at the gloss potential of your hair. You are going to be astounded now. We all know that the enliven gel that i use has a bit of alcohol in it right, which is questionable when it comes to whether it is completely cg or not. Now this does not have alcohol, but the results that i get are also a little different with this gel. What i get is beautiful definition, extremely glossy curls. The curls are extremely soft. I don't have too much frizz on top. That is there, but when i do have some frizz and i use a gel with a little bit of alcohol, then that frizz in the crown area makes it easy for me to fluff out and give me some beautiful volume. Generally, i'm used to taking my hands into my hair and doing this, and it generally perks up my hair and makes my hair really nice and big. I can make my hair go from here to here. If i had a gel that had some alcohol in it now that might be your preference or you could be the kind of curly girl who does not want any frizz at all and just wants definition. You do not care about volume at all. You only care about beautiful curls, you don't mind if they look a little limp as long as they're all together and they look nice and manageable. Then you're happy. If this sounds like you, then you will love this gel, but when you're using this gel, it is not reasonable for you to expect your curls to last till your next wash day, if you're washing after seven days, which means to say that, on day, two and Day three, your hair is not going to get bigger. Your hair is not going to get more volume, you're going to notice that you lose a lot of curl definition. So if you only care about your day 1 results and you want to leave it open and the rest of the week, you want to try different hairstyles, and so you don't want your curl clumps to be robust and intact. Then you will really enjoy this gel, but if you're the kind of curly girl who prefers texture, you prefer that how do i explain this? So this gives you beautiful definition, but your hair looks very tame. If i had to compare this to the enliven gel, because i want to speak from experience right, if i use the enliven gel, then my hair looks a little more textured. It gives me much more crown definition. I'M able to shake out and fluff out my roots and make my hair look really big, and the enliven gel is something that will keep my curl clumps intact from right from day, one to day, seven, sometimes even day nine. I can absolutely stretch my wash days out and it's not gon na make a difference, whereas with this gel you are gon na have beautiful tame results on day one, but after day, two and day three, your curl clumps are not going to be so robust and Intact they're going to break down, but there is a benefit to that. If you're like, i said, if you're the kind of girly girl who likes experimenting with hairstyles - and you don't like your clumps to be super tight and together and you want to release them so that you can do these beautiful hairstyles, then you will really enjoy this Gel now, how much of this gel do i use on the packaging itself in the directions? It says that use a generous amount of this gel for results. So, as indicated, that is the best way to use this product. This gel does very well, if you're, the kind of curly girl who does not want frizz when i use this gel. These are the best results i get with regard to frizz. The frizz is controlled to a very, very, very great extent. In fact, i'm sure you'll agree that this is the least amount of frizz that you guys have seen me with on this channel, so the cream retails for 5.99 and this retails for 6.99, so essentially 600 and 700 rupees each. But i got this in a combo deal and i think i spent 650 on both. In that sense, it was a steal. Errata keeps having deals on their website and on instagram you'll find a lot of ads for when they go half off. If they go half off, then i would say that the gel is definitely something that you should try once in your curly girl journey, see if you enjoy the results and then decide if this is a keeper or not, arata is completely cruelty free, and that makes Me really happy. This is also indian made, which is fantastic. They are one of the first girly girl brands that came out in india. Now you already know my thoughts on the cream, which means to say that it's a great addition to your routine, but you can skip it if you don't have tighter curls, if you have type 3 hair and you have tighter curls and you really need that help When it comes to styling when it comes to hold your curls, but you don't want a result, that is extremely dry and you want something that gives you nice softness, but it is also heavy which means to say this is a heavier product. It does very well to style. Your hair gives you fantastic moisture. The moisture potential of this is a plus. The hold is also pretty nice. Then this would be a great addition to your routine. The gel will this feature in my routine in months to come. Well, let me put it this way if i'm ever looking for results that are extremely defined, but i don't want any frizz. I just need my hair to behave that day. I need it to look nice and tame. I don't want big hair and i want extreme gloss. Then the gel is an absolute keeper for me, but on other days when i want volume - and i want texture because look i'm a curly girl - i want big, beautiful natural hair. Sometimes i'm not looking for just definition and like tame hair, because i don't want my hair to be tame. I want it to be all crazy and big and acting up, but that's just my preference. Your preference might not be the same, which is why look i'll always give you options and i'll. Tell you what i observe right so yeah, if you're the kind of curly girl who has high density hair - and you don't want your hair to always be really big in line main-esque, then you will love this gel the moisture potential. The gloss that this gel gives you is fantastic. It is not greasy once you scrunch out the crunch. You'Re left with beautiful soft curls they'll be extremely shiny, they'll be extremely moisturized, they'll, be extremely tame. The definition will be a plus the hold, while it's drying will be fantastic, which means to say that you know this is not like an aloe vera gel the gel. The hold of this gel is far superior, so when it's drying, the hair is not going to frizz up, even if you're a little rough with it, because it'll hold your curl clumps very nicely on day, one not so much on day, two day, three day 4., You will be left with some of the definition, but your curls will be very, very soft, and that might be your preference. If it is, then trust me, you will love this gel, i'm trying to be as real and as raw as possible, so that you know exactly what you get with these products, and hopefully i've explained myself well, and you know exactly what you're going to get when It comes to these products now i'm very inquisitive and i love to know what your results are, because of course we have different hair. So what my results are will be very different to what your results are. I'M extremely curious in knowing honest, real thoughts on these products, so if you've ever used any of these two, please let me know in the comments down below. I have a friend who also use the cream uh. She has low to normal porosity hair and she wasn't really happy with the cream because it really weighed down her head so yeah. If you're high porosity, then this might be an absolute game changer for you. So please, let me know in the comments down below. Have you used any of these products if you did, what were your results like? What'S your hair, like? What'S your density? What'S your texture, what is your girl pattern? I want to know it was a lot of fun trying out arata and i'm very excited to try out more brands. Let me know if you like this review, if this helped you in any way all right, i guess that was it thanks. So much for watching guys if you enjoyed my content, consider subscribing to my channel leave me a like. Follow me on instagram thanks. So much guys i'll see you in the next one bye you

Michelle Manuel: Hello Kittens! If any of you have used these products please please please, mention your curl type, density and porosity and leave a comment telling us what your experiences were. That way other curly girls can go through the comment section and gain a good understanding of the results they can expect if they have similar hair to yours. Let's help eachother make better informed decisions, product wise! ❤️

alina pai angle: Hair type- 2c, low porosity. This hair cream is perfect for low porosity hair as it’s protein free. I totally agree that it’s tricky to use. The cream requires a lot of emulsifying. I have used it with Giovanni gel (glycerin free) and it worked beautifully. As for gel, it just doesn’t work in high humidity. It was a bummer.

Amrapali Dasgupta: Long awaited video!! I got the cream and did not like the heaviness on my hair, but I get now that I need to mix it with water and apply a pea amount (since I have medium porosity hair) AFTER my leave in conditioner!! Thanks a ton for the video. ❤️ Would say it works better on hair that has been a bit trained already?

sim: Your videos had motivated me to start this method. Earlier I used to think it's too much work but you have simplified the whole process. Thank you so much!! Here again I was thinking to buy this product and you once again helped me to decide u got amazing curls ❤️❤️.

Anjani Sharma: Such a detailed video covering the tiniest details about the usage of both the products according to every curl type and desired results!!!! Loved how you explained everything

P R: New to your channel and I'm loving the detailed, honest reviews! My hair type is most likely 2c-3a, more on the 2c side I guess. The FMC moisture bundle didn't do much for me. Cantu curling cream weighs my hair down and I find the fragrance very off putting, gave me a migraine! I recently got my hands on the Arata cream and gel, yet to try them. After watching this review, I'm not sure if Arata will work for me as I love me some good volume! Bigger the hair, the better. Can you recommend a few styling products that provide volume and have mild fragrance?

Esther Simick: As usual, lucid and so helpful and easy to follow! Great video! And you look so pretty

Anonymus: I had already gone overboard with cantu products once, that gave me a dripping wet look So no, crown volume for the win :D but that glossy look can be good for parties though if used light handedly. Thanks for the review

Tanya 9189: I have type 2 waves and I wanted to start CGM and I bought these two already . I'll try them for some more time

KC: Such an honest review! Your ever increasing subs are going to love you for this!

twinklealices: I love the honest and detailed review Michelle!! Very well informed. Just one more suggestion- could you add in a point about the slip of the product

soumitabose1: My experience with Arata duo- On my high porosity type 2c 3a and 3b culrs with medium dense 24 inch length of hair i need a little more than pea size of the cream and two times coin size amout of the gel. It took me more than 15 to 20 times of usage to learn exactly what amout is perfect for my hair...Do keep in mind that emulsifying the cream is the most important step while styling with Arata or it won't give definition but weight your hair down..also Arata cream might feel very waxy if you are not using any live in conditioner/deep conditiong your hair, at least this happened with me in my intial attempts with Arata.

Riddhi Beriwala: Very informative and detailed as always... Would love to see a review on Ashba leave in and gel :)

vandana sikder: I have the same hair texture and whatever u said I absolutely agree, even I have noticed that. Can you please suggest the products that keep the curls for longer time, coz I also don't want them to be tamed either I want full, fluffy puffy volume ❤️

Himani Belsare: You’re awesome! Also I love your hair! <3

Alisha Thomas: Emulsifying the cream looked like magic!!! Maybe this cream and enliven gel will give good results , did you try this combination? I am almost convinced to get the cream and not the gel because I am sucker for volume , my crown is super flat on day 1 so, I like my day 2 hair more actually because a little frizz gives me volume at the crown

JESHMA JAYAKUMAR: Such detailed review ❤️

Greeshma ghosh: Wow..this was a super detailed video. So helpful

Poonam Swami: I'm here because I bought these products but wasn't sure how to use them

Anshul sharma: Finally my search has ended up with ur channel... superb videos n great explanations... Kudos ❤️

Soulzoid_stream: Brilliant review! Thanks sweetie❤

Avanshika Saini: Really informative... I always struggle with my curls but it was nicely explained..nd yeah... your voice is just BEAUTIFUL!!❤️

Anuradha Sant: Yes have used and am using them. U r right, it's wonderful day 1 and then post that u lose definition and get a lot of frizz if don't refresh. I have abt 3a kind of hair. Which other curl cream, leavein and gel do u recommend?

Tina: As usual your hair looks so good.. The products too seem to be good

Pooja Navale: This was really helpful. I was going to buy it but I have wavy hair. Can you plz suggest some after wash hair oils?

Ramya Tanikanti: Best review ever ❤️

Shravni Verkhedkar: This duo just did not work for me. I have 2b/2c hair type. The first time I applied it on damp hair. It felt like it has sucked all the moisture from my hair. My hair became extremely dry and for the same reason I had crazy hairfall. I tried it again on dripping wet hair it wasn't as bad as before but wasn't extremely good. I get there same results from using enliven conditioner along with homemade flaxseed gel. Additional the fact that your review won't be accepted on their website if it is below 4 stars is disappointing.

veena vijayan: Awesome review ...thanks for being honest... Pls suggest a leave in conditioner for a frizzy hair... Am planning to use gel alone... So do I need to apply leave in conditioner before gel?

kid 28: I permed my hair recently and i am confused whether to use curly hair cream or gel or both..Also if you can recommend me the go to products

Preetikana Biswas: Will it work on weavy , medium density hair ? Will it give medium curl ?

srijita bhattacharya: Compare this gel with fix my curl gel please !

Arwa Mahesh: Which leave in conditioner did u use with this arata combo

Dini Kadam: Which leave in conditioner do u use??

Swathi J: Thanks for the review! I have straight hair. I don't use any products for daily styling. But if I want a styling cream to style my hair on occasion like for a bun, can i use this? Coz without any product my hair is too sleek to be held up.

Seema Tiwari: Looooooovvvvvved it . Also have you stopped using the denman brush? I also had a query about the enliven gel. Is it to be applied in the same quantity as the arata gel?

Parul Sharma: Fabbbb!!!! Keep up the good work!!! Very well explained.

Amit: I am a guy with straight hair, I need medium hold and some shine as well. Which of the two should I use? The cream or the gel?

shalini gupta: Which leave in conditioner did you use in the video?

Rashmi Singha: Can I braid my hair after applying them for giving high definition curl ?

Sauradipa Roy Choudhury: Girlie girl...lol But l truly appreciate your honestly and this honest review. Keep going ...

Sophia Barua: Hallo maam..can i used in my wavy hair..plz reply

g surya Kavya: Very helpful video btw

Arwa Mahesh: Hey thanks for the video ....if Arata isn't a great option for wavy hair...suggest a leave in conditioner and a gel for type 2wavy hair .....also your bathrobes are so beautiful....where do u get them fr om ❤️

tejaswi teja: My hair is wavy to curly with very less volume. Can I use it to increase the volume??? Please reply

Pooja Vegad Mekhia: Mam I am ur just new followers.. live the way u explain everything... I have dry n wavy hair... after seeing ur transformation I also want to try it once.... But literally worried so much for using so much products on hair as I do use only shampoo.. conditioner... n serum twice a week.... So I really want ur honest opinion.. That does this kind of product increase hair fall or graying of hair...?? N also wanna buy product 1st time... so which product to buy Pl reply... A

Tejasvi Reddy: Hi @Michelle I am confused about my hair porosity, without conditioner my hair feels rough, not manageable. When i apply conditioner while washing, after that serum on wet hair, my hair feels lively. But very next day, my front hair looks as if it lost moisture while da back hair looks fine moisturized. Also i do workouts, lot if sweating in hair, bcoz of which my hair needs everyday wash. My hair curl type 2c - 3a Not yet started CG process. Please suggest me shampoo, conditioner, whatever needed for my hair

Namrata Popat: Heyy Loved the video ; thinking of starting cgm for my hair could you please help me out with what leave in conditioner you used kn the video?

Makeup by monisha bathija: Hi … I’m sorry if i missed it but can you please suggest a good leave in conditioner to use before the arata hair cream ….

Shandilya Rashmi: Which live in conditioner you used

Salman Khan Crazy Fan: Which leave in conditioner u use

Vasudha Lakhotia: Hi. Can we use it everyday?

Sujani Suresh Makeover: Can this be applied before using curling machine?

Lalitha Ranka: Hii Michelle have you used leave in conditioner twice as shown in the video

Anindita Chowdhury: I am using these products along with wow shampoo. After 3days wen am washing my hair its causing an immense haifall! Any advise?? Also its becoming frizy on day 2 only

Simrat Sims: Yeah true it makes the hair oily n sticky

hena k: Can we use it on dry hair ?

Saili Mohite: This Video Is Really Informative.. Please Also Review BBLUNT Curly Hair Products..

Devika Prasad: Please reply to this I'm having 2b hair type with nice beach waves. I'm planning to try CGM. So what I want to know is can I have occasional curls one the first day of wash and have my natural waves back to shape when I'm not using the product.

Simran: Heyy! Should we use curl creams on daily basis?

g surya Kavya: I don't know what my hair type is .. I think it is 2a .. I have bought it and now I saw ur review... So does the cream alone help if I use???

Vandana Reddy: How many day it will stay?

Pooja Prabhath: Brilliant review!! Cud u suggest me smthng that will give me long lasting defined curls but under a budget??

anusha t.s: Is it exclusively for curly hair sss

Anurima Das: ❤️

silji prakash: Hello ..already straight cheytha hair ill ethu apply cheyan okkumo

Stuti: Do you have any tips on how to form thinner curl clumps.

Shormistha: I have 2B hair. Oily scalp. Will it suit me?

praveena pillai: I have tried both of them.. Still have quite of it left.. Didn't like it even after trying it in so many different ways.. Guess it might be because I live in a high humidity area.. And both the products are quite loaded with humectants.. My bad.. Should have read the ingredients before purchasing.. My hair type is 2b-2c, medium to high porosity, fine and medium density..

Debalina Chaudhuri: Can these products be used on straight fine hair?

Kushi Ruth: Hey..hi..mine is super silky straight hair.. I normally use products for rough hair..like castor oil instead of coconut oil.. so will these curly products work for me..plzz rplyy

FathimaHanan.A anu: Can l use the gel to stick the baby hairs.....? If so ,for what time it will stay....? Can this be used for babies(1 to 2 age.).......?

Ayushi Kulshreshtha: So my hair is very confusing... Some are high porosity and some low porosity then my front section is 2c 3a curly while back is 2a 2b while some at the wide back are just 1c. And using these combination I don't know worked wonders for me. Now bear in mind... For extra hold and a little bit of fragrance , I always a second gel - FML hair gel cuz that has a good smell. So this worked great as long as I was putting less cream (once ) and two gels ( too much of it ) on SOAKING WET hair. If you put on damp hair- it's gonna leave greasy look. So low porosity hair it's aweosme. I found it better than enliven gel maybe cuz enliven alcohol makes my hair too much dry.

GifClips: Do I need to use the cream before using the gel?

Deeksha Jha: My hair is a mix of 2c and 3b and i am thinking to start my curly girl hair routine ..it look really frizzy and dull . Will you please suggest me some hair cream or gels ..

MyWorld: Which gel gives us more volume..pls reply

CANDYUMYUM: How many days does these curls last ?

Connecting History: share your workout routine

D j: Can pple wd straight hair use it.does it cause scalp buildup

tejaswi teja: My hair is becoming so crunch n too dry,, wat to do

Oliny Cardozo: Why you don't use a denman brush ?

Sudeshna Shome: Which leave in conditioner do you use?

ruba: So we need not wash the cream and gel I'm new to this please bare with me

Anupama Suna: Make a video on finger coiling plzzzz

Ananya Mohanty: Why does the hair gel feels sticky ? Am i applying too much ? Do i have to wash it ?

Aysha Sumayya: Can i use it daily ... i hav a frizzy half wavy hair ... can i use it .. i want my hair to be fulffy and shiny defined waves

gabooc:

diksha singh: Mam mere hair curly hai but valuem nhi to kya kare

sony umesh halwai: Aap apne baalo ko kaise tie karte ho daily and ja b aapko kanhi jana to kaise refresh karte ho mere hairs bahot frezy hai so 2nd 3rd day per unmanageble ho jaate hai pls hep
