Hi guys welcome back and welcome to my channel. My name is brianna and today i'm going to take you through my that girl, self-care routine, i'm going to give you my updated long, hair care routine, my shower routine skincare routine and how i plan out my journal. So without further ado make sure to like and subscribe and let's get into the video good morning, everyone welcome to another 5 a.m morning. I need to get all my ducks in a row today, so we're starting bright and early. As you can see, my room is an absolute disaster. I could barely walk across the carpet, so i'm just trying to store it through everything. Right now i have a bunch of boxes, clothes papers, receipts and mail, just everything scattered around and it really needed to get cleaned up and what better time is there to do this than when you're on the verge of like a manic episode, my environment is always A parallel of what's going on in my head, so it was the absolute first thing i needed to tackle before getting on with the rest of my self-care, routine. Okay, i can finally see the carpet it is about half an hour later from when i started. I still have that one big box to open with you guys later on camera. I also have my book corner to clean up and my vanity, so i think i'm gon na start tackling that next, so lg actually sent me this monitor. Thank you lg. It'S called the lg dual up monitor and it's specifically great for content creators like myself, because of how you can edit vertically it's nano ips and 28 inches. I think i will need some help from my dad to set this up. This is for all the different wires, and this is the actual monster, so it'll just be vertical like this, and it's literally like razor thin. Oh my god. I think i might actually make this my primary monitor. So i'll probably set this up later today and then next, i'm gon na get started on my nightstand, because my books are all over the place. So, okay and the next thing that we're gon na do is just grab some starbucks because i need caffeine before we take on the rest of the day. Can i just get a grande iced matcha latte, with two extra pumps of cane sugar and almond milk? I get these from l'oreal because it has keratin and castor oil, which i really love for my hair, especially for like the length it's just so long. I also need to shave my legs because i haven't done that in i don't know like years. I also need a exfoliating scrub and also a sheet mask. The korean ones are the best okay. Now, i'm in the kitchen and i'm gon na make some breakfast, i'm probably gon na do eggs, but before we get into that, i'm gon na refill my water bottle and take my daily vitamins. You guys have definitely seen this before and i've gotten a lot of questions. My vitamins are from care of and they're. So i'm gon na get on that right now and i'll talk to you guys after my session. The next thing that always makes me feel better and refreshed is doing my in-depth, shower and hair care routine. I know i'm addicted to watching, like those shower tick tocks with the vibi lights and the scrubs, but i woke up at 5am, so it's only mid-afternoon right now and i don't own like 30 scrubs, so i just picked up a refill of what i usually use. This is shea moisture and then i just got a brand new razor but yeah we're going to take a really relaxing bath. We'Re going to read a little bit where i have some bath salts. I have some lavender soap, so i'm going to put on a bikini and let's get into it, wait. I think i put way too much bubble bath stuff. I usually sit in a bubble bath like this for an hour or like until the water gets cold, because i don't know, i just feel like it's such a waste if the water's not cold by the time i get out, i think i'm gon na soak and Read for like half an hour and then i'll take you guys through how i shave i'm gon na go in with this exfoliator scrub and then shave my legs. If you guys want to smell like pina coladas, this is it i'm gon na grab literally like this much i'm going to rub it all over my legs and don't forget to do your feet. I swear adding foot care to your self-care routine. Just like brings it up another notch, because when do we ever take care of our feet anyways, i just exfoliate my arms, because i don't shave them or anything. Okay. My legs are literally so smooth and moisturized and ready to shave. So let's do that. This is getting real personal, so this is the razor i'm going to use for my legs. It'S brand new. Now i don't actually use shaving cream to shave. My legs, i usually just use conditioner. I usually do this in the shower when there's running water, i'm just going to shave in the opposite direction in long strokes, there's just something about having shaved legs that makes you feel like you. Have your life together always move slow over your knees, because that's where i used to get the most nips, because the skin would just be like wrinkly. If i was like standing straight, i haven't just bent a little bit. Anyways life update, guys i'm going to korea. Yeah i've been planning. This trip for approximately two weeks. Isn'T a lot of time at all, so there's gon na be a lot of like packing preparing and as we film right now, i'm flying out in 10 11 days, which is really scary, because i've never flown by myself. So i'm gon na do like 10 to 12 days in korea and australia for two weeks to see some friends that i have there honestly there's been so much stress and like behind the scenes for me to like actually leave the country. What i'm most worried about is losing my luggage, like people, have been posting like flying off and seeing your luggage not make it to the bottom of it, and that makes me want to put everything in a carry-on. But i just keep thinking about how hard that's actually going to be because korea and australia are in different seasons. So i need to pack accordingly, but i don't even know how it's all going to fit in one carry-on but yeah i'm going to be going all over australia, because i have a bunch of friends in like three of the main cities. So i'm gon na go to perth first and then i'm gon na go to brisbane and then sydney of course, okay. I finally finished shaving up both of my legs and this bath really needs to be drained. So i'm going to clean up here and then we're going to go on to doing my hair care routine. So i'm going to use the shampoo and conditioner by l'oreal. My sister has hair as long as mine and she really likes this. I also use the jisu honey infused hair mask as you can see. It'S like half gone just to give the ends of my hair, some extra love and i use the skull massager by tangle teaser, just to get rid of any build up that i may have. The wash routine honestly hasn't changed that much, but i'll still walk you guys through it. So the first thing i'm going to do is wet all of my hair using lukewarm water, because that will help open up my hair strands and hair follicles and actually let the soap penetrate and then just using some shampoo. I'M going to focus this at my roots, because that is where all the oil is produced and so needs the most cleaning. When i rinse all the soap out, it will travel down the body of my hair and that's when that will get cleaned and a tool that i've been using for a while. Now is a scalp massager because like gets into areas where my fingers can't and always make sure to move your fingers or whatever tool you use in vertical motions, because if you shampoo or conditioner in circles, will likely cause tangles and then that leads to breaks. And then again, i'm just rinsing this all out with warm water and then what i do for my hair mask and conditioner is almost the same. I just ring my hair out, so the product can actually penetrate my hair and not just be squeezed out with the water. I take the mask up pretty high to like, where my shoulder is just to give the bottom two thirds of my hair, more love and then conditioner just at the ends. Where is the most dry because, obviously it's the furthest from my scalp and then this is optional, but i like to rinse my hair out with some cool water just to give it some more shine. Now we're gon na get into the rest of my hair care. Skincare body care, so i usually blow dry my hair 40 of the way and then let it air dry and that's when i just put in all my products as well for my ends, i use honey, infused hair oil - i just brush it through the ends and For my scalp, i use this ordinary natural moisturizing factor h a and that is basically it for my hair care, and this is how i style my curtain bangs. I honestly am still learning how i'm supposed to do it, but i take the blow dryer brush and roll it backwards, because this will make my curtain bangs curl inwards to my face and then, following my part, i'll split my bangs and doing the same thing. Taking the brush and curling the bangs inwards to my ears, just a rolling motion until i get it to how i like - and i kind of just have my hair frame, my face like that and my hair is mostly dry, though it absorbs all the oil. I put in next i'm gon na. Do my body and skincare together i use the serum moisturizing lotion. My body is pretty moisturized from the exfoliator that i use because it did have coconut oil, and i also always put on deodorant when i get out of the shower just so i can keep smelling good and while i let this soak in i'm going to moisturize My whole body, okay, this has been on for like 15 minutes, so i'm just gon na take it off. My skin feels super hydrated. Okay, we are finally nearing the end of this pamper routine. I'M just gon na finish up with some skincare and i'm gon na. Do the smallest layer of moisturizer, because my skin is feeling very hydrated already, and the last step, of course, is sunscreen. I'M gon na use this shiseido oil free sunscreen, because i do use active ingredients at night like retinol and aj and bhas, and this is also a little bit of makeup because it's tinted two lines of this blend that all in so that is my sunscreen. All blended in now, i'm going to move on to some action items like journaling planning my week. Maybe i'll get a workout in later. So, as i said earlier, i am going to korea really soon, so i have a million one things. I need to get done and i usually make this list online in notion or identity, but today we're going with a notebook. So i can carry it with me when i'm running errands and just physically check everything off. So i count this as a part of my self-care routine, because it's not packing for a trip, i'm just making a general to-do list of all my responsibilities, whether that's school work being a research assistant, chores in the house or running errands. For my parents, i'm pretty scatterbrained, so to-do list and time-blocking, just like with alarms on my phone, is a really great way to keep myself accountable and now i'm getting on to some journaling. If you guys have seen other videos of mine, then you would know that this is a huge part of my like self-soothing and self-care routine. I think this is one of my healthiest coping mechanisms whenever i'm spiraling, because i got ta just write everything down a lot of you have asked me about what am i supposed to journal. I don't know what to say and honestly just write that down literally whatever you are thinking just one way to really get into it. You just need to start doing the emotion and like building that habit. I say that all the time, just starting and being consistent in the first week or two is the hardest part, but i promise when you build the healthy habits or systems in your life, and you do them consistently. I have pretty serious depression at the moment and I haven't been caring for myself very much. I'm trying to grow my hair out but I don't have the motivation or energy to care for it. My mom is strict about what kinds of chemicals I put in my hair or on my face, the most I'm allowed to use is micellar water and shampoo and conditioner.
