Tonight is on here and today I really want to talk about how the way you wash your hair can really make or break it for you, if you're trying to grow it out. So I really wanted to focus on shampooing and the way that you shampoo in order to maximize your hair growth before we get on to the rest of the video. Please give this video a huge thumbs up if you enjoy it. That way, YouTube knows that this is a good video that people actually like watching and it will show it some more people make sure you give it a thumbs up. So I know that means then, let's get on to the rest of video, so whether you wash your hair is really important. I don't need to tell you that, and if you have ever dip your toes into natural hair care, then you know how important or washday and technique is. They were all quite conditioning. All the time and conditioning is really important, but shampooing is just as important. So I don't need to tell you guys to use a sulfate free shampoos. I know it's not for everybody. Some people do need sulfate, so the most part is solve it. Free shampoo is really important if you're trying to grow your natural hair out, because sulfates tend to be very drying which can lead to breakage in your hair, especially frizziness and dryness offer a sulfate free shampoo. Some of my favorite sulfate free shampoos, are from bumble and bumble can to carry care and closeness. You might find that these are also called cream shampoos or cleansing creams, and that's just because they don't lather up in the same way as a traditional shampoo, and that is because the sulfate is actually what makes it leather up. Unless you find something like the bumble and bumble and there's mysteriously found a way to make their shampoo a lather up, really really well without actually using any sulfate, so that one has to be one of my favorites. For that reason, the second thing that you want to do is make sure that your scalp is clip like a lot of people. Don'T realize this step when you're shampooing, you are cleansing your scalp. That is the main purpose of that. That'S because your scalp can often have a buildup or products grease and natural oil stirlitz we're all hyper things, and when all of these things, certain probably risk out that can cause itchiness for one thing, which is really really annoying and it can also attract your scalp. It can damage your hair follicles. I have a negative effect on the way that your hair actually right. Your hair can actually start growing thinner if your follicles are to clot up. So you will make sure that you've got a good, deep cleanse in your scalp. So take yourself, eight free shampoo or your one with sulfate. If that's what you need to use and apply that directly onto your scalp, don't worry about the rest of your hair right now, because when you come to rinse this out, it will rinse through the rest of your hair, and it will cleanse your hair on its Way out, the focus is always on a cleansing, your scalp and your group, my mask out. So if you guys have seen any of my other videos that I wash day routine or about my hair growth tips, then you know that I am a huge advocate for massaging the scalp. It is really really important because it's going to stim take a scalp is going to increase blood flow to the follicles, which brings in a whole bunch of nutrients and vitamins that your hair really really needs, like vitamin A and iron and a whole bunch of other Ones that we list right here because I can't remember them all of the top layers. So if you don't have time to sit down and do that in the evening, then you can do it when you're shampooing. That'S when I do it and if you don't do that, then you're missing a huge opportunity, regardless of whether it's a lathering, shampoo or not. You still need to work it in so that it can deep cleanse your scalp and the way that you would do that is by massaging massaging is going to get the shampoo to work. It'S also going to stimulate your hair follicles and it's going to get that blood flow coming, which is going to bring all of those essential nutrients. The most part is all knives all good. I really like getting in there. Kids in my couch setting called my nails to get a little bit weak and softened, and I get I prune hands if I'm in the shower for too long. So the best way that I found to both of those things most effectively is to use a Mac. Lodging brush, I got my one from vanity planet, it's pink! As you can see. I really want a peachy color one though, because that one is so much more me, so I might have to try and check that one out they've got a whole bunch of possible colors. This is also completely waterproof as well. So don't worry about me using it. The shower is completely safe for use in the shower and it was designed so that you could do that. So I like to use my head massager, because this thing actually vibrates as well. That means that you're wetting it even deeper cleanse and the massage is that much better. This thing is really relaxing and if you're, not careful, you will fall asleep in the shower, so be careful about that. I'M really kidding, but it does give you this tingly feeling all over your head, so you know that it's working and it does just feel really nice anyway. So I like to do this, even when I'm not in the shower, when I'm just chilling, I like to just run this over my head, so you can massage your scalp outside of the shower, maybe with a hot oil treatment or when you're just chilling whatever it May be, if you guys, are interested in trying out one of these massages then head over to their website. You will find that they are 40 pounds 40 dollars. I believe they may have a sale on right now and they may be $ 35, but either way. I'Ve got a discount code for you guys you'll find that in the link below, and I will try to lose that right here - that you guys can check that out. It will save you half the price on a massager, so go and check those out. When you incorporate all of these steps into a wash routine, you will find that your head is less itchy. You'Ll, also find that your hair tends to grow a little bit quicker. I notice that, after around about a month of incorporating all of these steps and the brush, and also you will notice that you don't have any flakiness on your scalp, I used to get really bad flakiness. I tend to do this once a week and I don't have any flakiness anymore and my hair growth has been improving. I really hope that you guys enjoyed the video. Please don't forget to give it a huge thumbs up if you did also don't forget to subscribe and join our Kohl Club. Mya Thompson: 4:00 I have the EXACT same one! And yes it works soo well I use it every time I wash my hair and I've grown like 2 and a half inches just within 3 months of using it

Kirsten F: your hair is gorgeous as always! for a little over a year and a half, i've stopped straightening my hair to grow long hair! my curls are similar to yours, but mine are tighter and i have a lot of shrinkage. so it looks a lot shorter than it really is i was wondering if you had any tips to really elongate my curls?

moreen kelly: look how long your hair has grown! you were my inspiration to go natural, and I cant wait for my hair to grow long since I cut like 5" off :( but I'm hopeful :)

Kendall Remington: You absolutely sold me Lana! With the discount code and the benefits of the tool, I just had to order one! I got myself the peach colored one, because that's more my style as well

Ash: Your hair is so beautiful it makes me wanna cry trying to grow out my curly hair I've stopped straightening it definitely gonna get a massage brush

Reservechic: Congrats on reaching 65k subscribers! As, your videos are always so amazing to watch!

MsGia2005: I really enjoy watching your videos because you are so engaging , authentic and the content you provide is so informative. You have inspired me to go natural. I have not relaxed my hair since December 2016. The information you have shared has enabled me to go natural the correct way. Keep up the good work!

Minx Zebra: this really helped me xxx thank you so much Lana ❤️❤️ I would really like hair like yours someday xxxxx

Mad Mom: I ordered two today!! One for me and one for my daughter

Becky Vaughan: Hey lana! Just wondering about what types of essential oils help with hair growth, i've try a few and so far not much luck! Thank you in advance! Love your videos it's great to get advice from someone with the same hair as me !! ♥️♥️

Gabi Burns: Just ordered my scalp massager! Thanks for the discount Lana!

Tabby Leblan: how do you keep your hair from frizzing up through out the day. I've tried different things and after about an hour of my hair drying my hair becomes super frizzy and my curls aren't as defined as they were before. I air dry and i use defining cream. Maybe it's just the humidity here though i do live in south louisiana

Clarizel Joy Jamille Gomez: Love your video! May I ask how frequent do you massage and shampoo in a week?

Alex Skibicki: Thanks for the tip, Lana. I was looking up how to use the shampoo brush and this helped me out.

cheri: hey Lana!! do you have any tips for unevenly stretched curls?? the back/top of my hair is so much shorter and tighter than the front/underside. it looks horrible if I wear it all down and I can't get it to wear the same style. I usually pull the longer pieces to the front but it's such a pain. when my hair is wet it's even length but when it's dry, different sections dry differently. sorry for the long comment, love your videos!!!

Kwana: Sulfate free shampoos that lather up still has one of the sulfates that are in regular shampoo but it's a good sulfate cause some people only feel that their hair is clean if there is bubbles btw I love your channel♥️

Alexandria Watkins: Love your videos I'm So happy when I get the notification

Enn Ess: What helps is deep cleansing the hair to remove any product build up which we all get on a regular base. Get baking soda with water in a bottle and use it in the shower before you shampoo. You will feel the difference, helps reduce hair oiliness and unclogs any hair follicles that are trapped!

JenViper: Love your videos!!!❤️

Christy Poulose: Short and to the point.

Destiny Thomas: Your hair is very long and beautiful and your also beautiful great video! ❤

Trish Pipkins: Yaaaaaaaay! I bought a lucky green one! I can't wait!

Rutuja Dicholkar: I'm suffering from hairfall since last year I just want long hair like yours

Yusra: I lose sooooo much hair on wash day. I wash once a week and keep my hair in a protective style the whole week taking it out once or not at all. I comb my hair before showers and deep condition. Then I wash normally and comb afterwards. I lose a shit ton of hair and I find my hair thinning. Help!

M*chelle M*chelle: omg omg omg your curls came out so wonderful ❣

Pops 27: Recently cut my hair a bit above my shoulders due to dye damage and I just wanna grow ittttt

N M: Would you say the brush helps to loosen up dandruff/flakes?

Poppin curlsss: hey Lana! I really need some advice so I'm trying to grow my hair longer again but the problem is half of my hair is ombre and I'm trying to grow it but idk if it will work with out getting the big chop can u plz help me !!! :):

everything that rhymes with ‘sappy’: Ever since your most recent video I wanted to know where you got you massage brush from?

Kevin PAZ: Is this good for thin hair

Robyn: Love this thank you!! I will be trying. May I ask where you got that cute red top?

Mary alsina: Your hair grows so fast

Amira J: I feel like i'm the only person that washes my hair in parts tbh it just makes my life easier because my hair is so thick but everytime i was these wash day videos they don't part their hair like what!?

SolelyVanessa: The hair massager is such a necessity that I don't have (yet) lol

Teababii1995: I love your hair!

slow_eater: 5:29 omg that hair density. i wantttt.

Calista V.B.P: how do i clean the vanit yplanet device, or change the battery? cause sometimes the water gets trapped inside the plastic screwey thingy and gets into the battery compartment and it doesnt work! HELP

Emily: it lathers because there are actually many surfactants besides the ones that have sulfate in them they all do the same thing though

W: i love ur curly hair

maryam diyar: Love your videos //first comment

Marie-Joslyn Mayhue: Do you have low or high porosity hair?

MisterTracks: Excellent video

Dayne Glace: I use sulphate free shampoos but for some reason it does not clean my scalp, it makes my scalp feel clean and look clean but when I run my finger on my scalp when I am done it still has dandruff and product build up and it I dont recognise that until i pass my fingers on my scalp..I only wash my hair once a week so I dont know if I have to wash it more, or if I have to like get a massaging brush to help or maybe sulphate free shampoos are not for me. So I decided to get a 2-in-1 sulphate shampoo& conditioner because I think it might be less harsh than using a normal sulphate shampoo, but I will also be using a deep conditioner and another conditioner. I love your hair
