Hey everyone today we're talking about this here it is, it's called new wash by hair story, and this is a non-shampoo which does it all it cleanses your hair, like a shampoo, does it conditions your hair like a conditioner? Does it also means that you can maybe use less of it as in go longer without washing your hair, or you can wash it daily, and it does say that, and it also works out to be cheaper than your general, shampoo and conditioner, because you're not using A conditioner okay, so, as you can tell from my sarcastic tone, I did not have a very good experience using this at all. Now, it's worth noting that my hair is oily and it gets oily daily. So I was interested to try this especially the Deep version which is for oilier scalps, because I thought well. This would be great if it works that way. I wouldn't have to wash my hair every single day. So here's the thing this comes in 236, mils or eight fluid ounces and it costs you about 44 pounds at least that's what it cost me. So what you do is you wet your hair and you use one of these, which is the hair story? Scalp brush? You don't get it free, you have to pay for it and it was around about 13 pounds 10 to 13 pounds. I think so you apply this product which really to me, looked like a conditioner and you massage it through the hair. You use your scalp brush to really go through it. You leave it in place, do your other bits and Bobs, and then you rinse it out and voila your hair is glowing now. It says it can take a few uses or a week or so in order to see the real benefits of this so the first time I used it. I decanted all of this into a pump and I have to use five pumps - and I do not have hair down to here and after I'd massaged it in and done all of that and rinsed it out and every day on my hair, I would use either A wax or a gel and a dry shampoo, that's what I put on my hair after I'd rinse this product out there was, it was filled. My hair still felt absolutely vile. I ended up using another three pumps and rinsed it all out, dried it and it did look fine. It didn't look the same as it would with a shampoo, but it didn't look dirty and there was no product residue in there. So all in all the first use I used seven pumps, the Second Use, which was the day after my hair, was greasy as ever the day after the same as it would be using any other shampoo. So I had no choice but to use it, but I was hoping that, as time went on, I would be decreasing the amount I would use this, so I had to use it again again. I used four pumps this time, which seemed to work this time and again you know I got it all out did the scalp thing and all of that, but every single day my hair was still greasy. I finished using it last night and this entire packet, 44 pounds lasted me nine days nine days. So if I was to use this indefinitely, it would cost me a couple hundred pounds a month in order to use this now. Here'S my hair the day after so it is greasy and like and just like it is every single day. This made no difference. The thing that did make the difference is the fact that it cost me 44 pounds for something that lasted a little over a week. Now I don't know if this is any different truthfully than just you remember when, when hair care, I don't know if it's any different to that. I have no idea personally, I think this is just a conditioner. That'S how I feel about it. In fact, I could probably get the same result just using a conditioner from Asda here in the UK for a couple of pounds, but if you've used this, let me know now what is interesting is I bought with it three other products. I bought the hairstory powder, which costs a start, an astonishing 30 something pounds. It was so expensive for basically a dry shampoo and you can't see this, but I can holding it up. It is less than half full, so it could have shrunk it. Let me get a um. Let me get a little mirror here right, so I'm going to show you you're supposed to aim it towards the kind of root area of your hair and it kind of comes out. If you just shake it and you're supposed to give it a bit of Welly and what it does, is it magically restores your hair and helps with the grease and the oil, and, as you can see, it's really not done that at all. You have to use a bugger load on greasy hair like mine, so I'd actually have to do it through the roots of the hair, and it makes it feel really really like. I can't explain so dry, it is, you know, really really dry and for that kind of money I know it's a dry shampoo, but for that kind of money I would expect it to do a little bit more for two pounds or three pounds: bastised Batiste. Sorry, the the dry shampoo, so much better. You know this stuff actually does do its job and it the only thing about it is it stinks. I hate the smell, but that instantly does the job and voila your hair looks cleaner and I use the light one and what you don't see on camera here is, if I was to film this outside my hair is actually very fair on camera. It comes across really dark, but it is not so again feels like The Emperor's New Clothes to me. I also bought these two products: lift and undressed. Now both of these um undressed is a sea salt, shampoo and then you've got the lift, which is a lifting spray use with a hair dryer. I believe now, let me say both of them look absolutely fine. The lift did a really good job of adding volume to my hair. The only negative was it felt very, very dry afterwards, and the undressed was great as a sea. Salt really good products, but for 30 something pounds each. I won't be replacing them because they're just too bloody expensive. That is my hair story review I mean I just I I don't get it and if you have used it and you think it is, you know amazing, you know you. Let me know because for me it just was an incredible letdown and I can't justify spending another 40 quid 44 45 pounds just to do another nine days or so, if that of a product that just really did not deliver, it really didn't. I honestly truly believe if I just used the conditioner, I would have got the same if not better results than I did from this product. What I do use on my hair and have continued to use. I have a very oily scalp and very itchy scalp. That is, can get very flaky and it's disgusting, this product costs exactly the same price. Almost. I think this was 45 pounds that I got it for um. It'S the scalp shampoo, it's a thousand mils, and just so you know you can buy this almost in a thousand mils and it's something like a hundred and 44 pounds or something like that. It'S really really expensive or this for a thousand, and I use half a pump of this, and that is enough to clean my entire hair and scalp. I also don't get any dry, hair or flaking, I'm now using it in my beard as well. Since I have major troubles here with dry skin but yeah, just not good, not good at all, if you've used it and you love it. Let me know, I checked out all the reviews, and but every single review is really positive and it was all from you know. I should have known it was all from companies. You know the the big glossy companies I use this and it just transformed my hair. I didn't transform mine, that's all I'm gon na say on the subject. I did not transform mine. I was left not impressed not impressed at all anyway. Thanks for watching see you all soon. Let me know if you've tried it or when or any of those other. You know scalp non-shampoo, shampoo, cleansing things um yeah. Let me know thanks for watching, see you all soon bye,

Caitlin: I broke out in hives from this product ALL OVER MY BODY, I had to go to the doctor and they said the hives started on my scalp and the only product I used off my normal routine was this. This hives lasted nearly 2 months and I was on prescription strength antihistamines, completely miserable. Wouldn’t recommend this product to my worst enemy!

Ell Emm: This is always advertised to me on Instagram and I thought it looked like a scam. I see I was right! Thanks for letting us know.

BeeDee Lite: OMG!!! I regret it so much buying this friggin product. This made my rosacea and dermatitis worse! I have been taking care of my scalp for like forever and the moment I was scammed by this, I had falling hair, my scalp was so red and itchy and flaky, it burns so much and it’s just horrible that I can’t even sleep. This happened in 2020 and until now I’m still in pain. I regret it so much that sometimes I wish they go out of business. Lol sorry but yeah! So not worth it. ✌

Leslie Hatch-Herman: I tried Wen (the fig scented one) about 10 years ago. I have curly hair and I think it was marketed mostly toward folks like me. It didn’t work at all-my hair actually started falling out. On the plus side, I used it as a shaving cream for my legs and other odd bits, and it worked nicely that way. It was the most expensive but best smelling cream I’ve ever used…

pyrepir: Ugh thank you! I was seeing it months ago advertised on instagram. I’m an ingredient list enthusiast and after reading the ingredient list it made me so angry, that they are glorifying this pretty basic conditioner as something revolutionary new…

Veloci-jo: I haven’t tried this one, tried Wenn back in the day as someone gave me their barely used order. TBH it sounds in many ways like a co-wash which is aimed at curly and Afro hair, and that they’re trying to market it to everyone - which definitely isn’t going to work. Co-washing works for us Curlie Gurlies & Guys because we, generally, have significantly dry hair and scalp.... it’s also why we can get away with leaving it longer between hair washes.

Kimberly Ward: I used Wen in the past. My hair is thick, long and curly. Wen's directions were for you to section out your hair to wash etc. I found it took a lot longer to wash my hair and I don't remember being overly impressed with the results. I didn't use it long. I also find hair care products to be expensive. I can't imagine spending $200 a month or more just in hair care alone. And when most of the bottle is water anyway, it really feels like a waste.

Teresa Johnson: I feel your pain. I tried WEN several years ago and my hair came out in clumps. I used the correct amount of recommended pumps and after my hair came out, I never tried that product again. WEN products were part of a class action suit, but I don't remember the outcome of that law suit.

Stephanie MacKenzie: And now, it's time for some laughs and giggles: There were these two content creators who were so stupid (HOW STUPID WERE THEY?) they thought volumizing hair conditioner made their hair louder.

Cheryl Bourgoin: I bought Hairstory after being highly recommended by a professional, and it was awful. I kept thinking it would get better with use, as the directions insinuated, but it just coated my hair and it took me awhile after I stopped using it to get rid of the buildup. It was a $45 mistake for me.

Kristy Freer: I started using Hairstory at the start of this year and I’m surprised with how much I like it. It did take me a little while to figure out how to work with it. I use the regular type on shoulder length hair and get an extra days wear per wash compared to my old shampoo. I totally agree with you about the dry shampoo- it’s horrible. And the fragrance is enough to give me a headache.

Fat, Fierce and Over Fifty Elizabeth Inman: I used to use Wen. Then my hair started falling out in clumps. I switched over to another co-wash I bought for about $5 in the African hair section. Perfection. But it’s only useful for super dry hair.

Terri Labeth: Finally! Someone with oily hair is talking about the struggle! I am not sure how this happened but I have oily hair and dry skin. I have friends that wash their hair once a week, some of them twice. They keep trying to get me to buy these products that should extend the time between washes that just never work on my hair. My hair actually clumps up and somehow manages to look worse with the oil that is making it do this. I end up washing my hair more because I am constantly washing out all of these products? I finally just tell my said friends that it will not work and I am not spending another dime. I wish I could go a week without washing my hair every single day, it would at least extend the color I have on my hair, but since this is my reality, I just move on. Yes, products to take away my oil do not work and makes it feel dry and kind of plastic while at the same time clumping it together. Thank you, I feel vindicated now! ❤️

shabbydeb: Never tried this, but tried Wen. At first I thought Wen was good.... UNTIL my hair started falling out!! At first I thought it was hormonal. Finally figured out it was WEN!! I tossed every Wen product I bought. Joined the class action lawsuit, which didn't amount to much $$ at all. I am very cautious what I use now. Thank you Wayne, for this wonderful video/review!!

shores of freedom: thank you for telling this to people! and I hope the brand sees this. they should know that they CAN'T sell a mediocre conditioner for 44£ to anyone with a brain... nor a dry shampoo for over 10£ lol

Reneé: Thanks Wayne. I have seen some hairdressers (and other influencers) having codes for this product & stating how great it is. I trust your discernment more than theirs.I appreciate your honesty & will NOT be getting it.

Jayne Nicoletti: They asked me to be an "ambassador" without even sending me the product to try.

xXPhantomDragonsXxYT: I discovered Oribe a few months ago, its like magic, genuinely transformed my hair. BUT the price tag is insane so I try to use as little as possible. However it is amazing, I dread running out!

Andrea G: I remember getting Wenn in a glossybox back in the day. Felt and looked like I had washed my hair with conditioner. Have stayed clear of similar products ever since..

Aleigha: Wow! What a horrible product! How they’re getting away with charging so much for any of those products is beyond me. I haven’t even ever heard of this brand let alone try it, but I certainly won’t be trying it now. I don’t mind paying a bit extra for shampoo and conditioner if they work. Right. Now I’m using Matrix Biolage Color Last shampoo and conditioner and I really like them. I am not oily at all. But also not too dry. I only wash my hair about once a week and use the dry shampoo in between washes. I use the Batiste as well. I really like it. Sorry you wasted your money on those hair products but thank you for showing us and doing a review. I value your opinion and look forward to your videos. Keep on shining! ❤️

Mi Chelle: OMG! My stylist has started using this in her salon! I’m in the USA. I just use Redken or Pureology at home. I have very thick, color treated hair. I can confirm the greasy feeling of my hair by the day after my salon appointment. I cannot go more than 2-3 days without washing my hair. I wondered why things had changed. Thank you so much for this video! You answered questions I didn’t even know I had!

freya watson: It must’ve felt so good to go back and wash your hair with your normal shampoo

Kirsten Williams: I use hair story at the recommendation of my stylist who specializes in curly and textured hair. It works fantastic for me and other people with curls and texture. It's not meant for flat hair.

jessigreer: I used this for several months and my hair and scalp loved it. To each his own. I’m a product junkie so I generally move on even when I love something but I would use this again. I also have a very oily scalp and face. It gave my thin, curly hair a lot more volume after it got used to it. No, it’s not cheap but it’s not a trash product.

Crazy4 Doxies: I bought Diva Curl thinking I could coax my wavy hair into not having to curl it every day. My hair was break off. Just snapping off. My hair stylist thought it was my Dyson Hair dryer and told me to stop using it. Well that is a pricey hair dryer and I love it. So I tried to figure out what I changed besides that. I opened my cabinet a few days later and saw the Deva Curl. I started researching it and sure enough there were tons of videos about the Diva Curl causing massive hair loss and breakage. I stopped using it immediately, kept using my Dyson and next visit to my stylist 6 weeks later, she asked what i did because my hair was so much better. I told her I threw away the Diva Curl and went back to my Lanza Trauma Treatment after washing and my hair was back.

Suzan Storm: The only "new" product I've recently tried is the K-18 leave-in mask. My hair is unprocessed, fine, white, and I'm over 55. I really like that I don't have to wash it out, it doesn't take much, and I can go longer between washes and my hair still look good. It is pricey though, and I've read of some people not liking it while obviously me and my friends do.

HadridarMatramen: My cousin is a hairdresser. I have listened to so many rants about haircare misunderstandings and misinformation. She rolls her eyes and groans every time two in one stuff is mentioned. Basic chemistry says it won't work, she tells me. Something about shampoo "opening up" hair fibres, and conditioner "closing" them again because they have different PH levels; one is acidic, the other is basic. They do opposite things, according to her, and you will never get the same result if you mix them. As for having to wash your hair every day because it gets greasy every day, she's explained to me that if you wash every day, your scalp will produce more oil, to keep up with the cleaning. If you just clench your teeth and tolerate the grease, and start washing your hair every other day, or every third day, THEN your hair will eventually stay non-greasy for much longer. As long as you keep washing every day, you will never stop getting greasy that quickly either. The more often you wash it, the quicker it will produce oils. I wash my hair twice a week now. Used to wash it every second day. And yeah, there was a long period where I got as greasy as when I washed every second day, but after a while, the oil production and scalp irritation calmed down. My scalp is healthier and, ironically enough, less dry now when I wash less often.

jay tay: That spiky massager thingy is in our local £ shop for ....£1

Danielle B: Co-washes are a no, no for your oily hair. Co-wash stands for conditioning wash and is made for curly/textured hair. The Melanin company makes a fantastic shampoo called African Black Soap Reviving Shampoo. The ingredients are GREAT and it’ll strip all of the gunk and oils out. It’s extremely clarifying, but with nice ingredients that are soothing to the scalp. I know because I use it. It’s a 16oz bottle, $24 US dollars and it’ll last forever. Just use a light conditioner afterwards. Good luck! Edit: I forgot to mention that I highly recommend you purchasing a fine tooth metal comb, such as a Nit comb. Work it through your hair while you have your shampoo on. You’ll be removing all of that dead skin from your scalp, drastically reducing itchiness. It works!

rebeccajanelove: I tried the palmers co-wash once which didn't work out on my hair. I think they're geared more towards people who's strands of hair are thick, whereas mine is thin and long. A lot of it though and it can get oily. I've found shampoo bars from bain & savon to have worked well for me (particularly the sea salt one). I've also enjoyed funkysoaps sea kelp and rhassoul clay one (managed to go 4 days without washing in a heatwave somehow). Before that I've used Korres and I still use some of there products today because of how more natural they are without being as overly expensive as other more natural brands.

A. Smwood: I love Wen….. it’s so hard to find and the price is outrageous when you do!! If it were available…. I would happily buy and use it ♥️ I have super dry/ long/ curly hair

Karen Kenney: As you were describing how you used it and had to rinse it out and then dry your hair, I just thought....same as washing your hair once a day! You just used this product instead of shampoo. What a rip off.

It’s me, Aimster!: I have used New Wash for a few years now (my old favorite got discontinued). That said, I haven’t used traditional shampoo for almost 10 years now. The transition to a “no poo” is much longer than a week. It’s really closer to 4 weeks. It’s almost like your hair goes thru a weird puberty! Anyway, I don’t use their dry shampoo powder and I can still go several days on one “shampoo” of New Wash. The larger package lasts me longer than the 5 months autoship. If you decide to give it another go, stick with it for at least one month. The other aerosol dry shampoos can get you thru the transitional period.

Kate Makeup Looks: Crikey! OK so I’ve never got on with shampoo and conditioner in one. However, they are often good for cleaning makeup brushes. Not this one though, use cheapo Wash’n’Go Have a lovely weekend lovely Wayne! Lots of love ❤️ xxx

Julia Chmiel: i’ve tried it too, for too long, about three months. big waste of money, i had bought the 900ml bag. my hairdresser asked what i’d been using and said she had to wash my hair three times. the marketing really got me. half of the big bag just sits in the cupboard

5um0fMe: I’ve used Wen and I like it, it’s just really expensive! I have fine hair and it gets oily fast so I have to wash every day. Wen was basically like using a shampoo conditioner combo except when I use normal 2 in 1 they leave my hair too dry. So I like cleansing conditioners but they don’t cut down on how often I have to wash my hair. It just basically saves me the step of shampooing. I can get the same result from shampoo then conditioner plus a tiny bit of hair oil applied to the ends and worked through the hair as I comb it out. My hair breaks really easily so the hair oil helps me comb it out with less breakage than if I didn’t use it and I haven’t found that using hair oil makes my scalp get oily any faster. Thanks for the review. I’m back to using shampoo and conditioner from the drug store these days. Actually, I’m using Head & Shoulders 2 in 1 Green Apple scent and Garnier Fructis Grow Strong conditioner, which also smells like apples. I love this combo cuz my hair has an awesome apple scent and its much cheaper than Wen’s Kids Apple cleanser!

Amanda Nadolski: I’m telling y’all, Redkin has a new acid shampoo and conditioner with a finishing cream. It’s AMAZING. I have thin, fine , oily hair. I LOVE this stuff. Transformed my hair. I was an OLAPLEX user forever, but it made my hair break off…

Anlbe1: I tried this and felt it was simply a very overpriced rip off of the condition only method which I learned decades ago as a way of caring for long hair….. any light conditioner without silicones does it better.. and klorane nettle dry shampoo is vastly superior

M'Lea Coco: Wayne, that’s so weird! I’ve been using this for years. I have semi-dry hair (not overly) and I wash every day just because I prefer to. I don’t even use the scalp scrubber - I use my fingers. And a pump and a half of product. And it works GREAT for me! 1.5 pumps for my chin length hair and 2.5 pumps when my hair is past my shoulders. I get compliments on my hair and my hair guy always says it still feels like it’s in good shape. I don’t use any other product most days.

Jan Franklin: I did not have a good experience with Hair Story either. My hair never felt clean. I did like the Undressed but it’s out of my budget. I received the products at a hair class I took and was excited to try them, everyone was raving about this brand. I was extremely disappointed.

JABEYE: Honey no one can afford these products with inflation issues… I wouldn’t bother.

Kathryn Robertson: Good grief! That's ridiculous! Thank you for letting us know!

Christiana Kalaitzi: Thanks for the review Wayne...no way would I spend that much on something that only lasted 9 days!!

RocketMansDaughter: I used Wen for years, and although I didn't personally have any issues with it, I stopped using it when there were reports of hair loss. However, I haven't really found anything that hydrates my hair like that product (the more expensive 'seasonal' types, not the basic sweet almond oil), and I still have bottles left, so I'm going to use them up and also see if that will leave my hair in better condition. As info, I'm 61 with colored hair that is wavy when hydrated, but leans dry with the wrong products.

Juanita22: Tried it a year ago on the glorious reviews by my hairdresser. It has been sitting in my closet after 2 different attempts to use it a few times in a row. My hair is normal even though it is dyed. It like coated my hair. Never felt clean. It definitely was a waste for me.

RandomVielleuse: Wow. WAY over priced, even if it worked- and that scalp brush, or variations, can be found very cheaply almost anywhere. About oil/greasy hair- I know this sounds counter intuitive, but have you tried using straight jojoba oil as a pre-wash "conditioner?" I love it on my scalp and hair and often put it in the night before (and wear a cap to protect my pillow) and then wash it out in the morning. I've read it's the closest plant oil to our own sebum. I use it on my face nearly every day, massage it in thoroughly and then wash lightly with Cerave moisturizing face wash. It's a great combination for me. I have a dry scalp, though, and an oily face but it seems to help both conditions. Anyway. Love your videos! And your glasses are so freaking good on you! Seriously "hot professor" vibes all over the place. :)

Eve Ciric: I have been using this for 6 months, I have fine hair and it makes my hair super full and shiny and encourages bounce. I use maybe 3 pumps and leave it in for a few minutes after massaging it through. I rinse way more thoroughly than with normal shampoo or conditioner. It doesn't fade my hair colour, so for me, so far, it's worth it

Barbara Robson: I got this product in a beauty box recommended by India Knight at The Times. I couldn’t believe the price, the packaging is rubbish, it was awkward to use with the cheap plastic cap which broke off. I have hair similar in texture to yours and I felt my hair was lank and hard to style. It went in the bin after 3 uses.

Clara: Thanks for letting us know Wayne I think it's better just to wash my hair!

Zoe Killing: I used to use Wen. It took almost a month before my scalp got used to the product. I also bought multiple small bundles of different scents/ formulas until I found what worked best for my hair. I have long hair and would only use it on my scalp. However outside of freezing spray. I don't use a lot of styling products. For me Wen worked fine but I stopped using it bc I had lost my job and it was too costly for me to continue. When I went back to regular shampoo, I had the same problem where it took a month for my hair and scalp to readjust to a different product. I now only wash my hair maybe once or twice a week. Again I had really greasy hair by the 3rd day but after a month or so of washing it twice a week, I find the oil/ph balance is different and my hair doesn't get as greasy at the roots. And even though i don't wash my hair everyday, I do rinse it in the shower under cool water every other day and that seems to help my scalp feel refreshed. Outside of a deep conditioner once a week and Bio Silk on the length of my hair, not the scalp, after washing or rinsing, I don't use other hair products except a freezing spray hair spray. Hair spray dries out my roots with so it tends to not feel greasy and helps prolong a less greasy but full bodied look. Point is, it takes WEEKS to a MONTH or two before the oils of the pores and the ph balance of the scalp skin balance themselves out. Only now with washing my hair twice a week can I afford to spend money on high end products bc I use so little of it and it lasts me ages. Hope this helps anyone with an oily scalp when trying different methods of washing and conditioning.

SerenaB: Thank you for this! Before you said it, I immediately thought of Wen. I too have an oily scalp and those conditioner and oil "washes" turn my hair into a grease factory.

Lisa Mac: What a gimmick I have hair to my knees so obviously this is not going to work but I can not imagine spending such a HUGE amount a money and not washing my hair properly (I do so every other day) with organic shampoo and it does not cost me 200 a month! I have also seen that spiky thing for a 99 cents in our local dollar store! Not sure why you would not just go in the shower and wash your hair Seems so much simpler in the long run then all that glop you have to massage through your hair! Some one is having a laugh! I also never use animal products or products that have been tested on animals NO one needs any of that

susanreedy29: Look at the ingredient list on their website...tons of oils! Highly recommend the ColorWow line, Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Wild Ginger line or Verb brand hair products.

Keely: You’ll laugh but I swear by vosene for my scalp, as long as you condition to put some moisture back in, it doesn’t dry your hair out too much. Also the best dry hair shampoo I’ve found is the Phil smith be gorgeous coconut, it genuinely cleans and doesn’t leave a white residue like some can.

Gail Carter: Thank you kind sir for this very honest review. Needless to say, I wont be trying this expensive "shampoo". Good day!

Queenmarie88: I love Wayne throwing the product down twice

Vivian S.: Wow I’m so surprised because another YouTuber who I really like, a hairdresser! - gave this product an amazing review. I didn’t buy it, but I considered it. Now - forget it. I trust you! But - I also trust her - so maybe it really depends on your specific hair. Hmmm.

Alex Gatto: My jaw dropped when you said the price! All of their "cleansers" have keratin in them, aka bone extract, aka literal slaughtered animal by-products so they've always been a huge "no thank you" to me. We don't need to be doing all that in 2022 ‍♀️

jdomakeup: I agree with you in this Wayne. I bought it a few month ago. Only was able to finish half the bag. It was horrible.

Cherry Metha: Wayne , you and Smith Deepak are my favourites and the only MUAs who I follow . You’re amazing Wayne and honest ! ❤️

Leonna Hofer: Wow that’s a huge rip off and an expensive one too. I use the honey treasures Garnia and it works great for oily hair.

MsPoseyP: I actually really like this product, but I use the regular, not the deep. Deep is way too heavy. You have to rinse it longer than you’d think. I just use a cheap scrubby tool I got from the drugstore. The effect is second day hair, which I like.

Maureen Turk: I tried a dry shampoo - Klorane - and it burned my scalp. I’m not sure why as it is supposed to be mild. I don’t think it was user error (I didn’t get closer than the recommended 6 inches) and I have used other dry shampoos without issue. I just like to try new things once in a while. Not so much anymore! So I can commiserate with you when a product is hugely disappointing.

TizPutsPaintOnModels: I love this stuff. I have dry hair which is wavy/almost curly and I can wash my hair once or twice a week and it works for me.

OnAQuailTrail: I bought it too. I tried the Deep version also. It made my scalp line oily but didn’t condition the rest of my hair. I’ve gone back to Olaplex.

Monica Ricci: I don't know exactly how much 44 pounds is but it sounds WAY expensive for a mere 8 ounces of material! Good Lord! How does a product like this even come to market??

tWaS beauty killeD the beAst FaY: Wayne one of the things i *swear by to control oil* between shampoos is a *good quality* all natural purifying clay mask. what i do is warm up/soften the product by rubbing fingers together then briskly massage into scalp. the clay absorbs oil, inhibits bacterial growth, seems to encourage volume, exfoliates cells so hair shaft can breathe, and it *also clarifies* the scalp so impurities go down the drain with every wash. been doing this for years. i use L'Athene CLARIFIQUE but any good quality clay mask would work. give it a go.

cicely bega: I love the Sachajuan scalp shampoo! I used it every 3-4 washes and it has healed my scalp issues.

Lynda: Appreciate your honesty, love your channel.

Bridget Westerman: Thank you for wasting your money so we don't have to. (Seriously, I appreciate it!)

Sinéad Kelly: Yes I used this and was completely disappointed- did nothing good for my hair

Donna Engel: Don’t you hate bullshit?! This sounds completely dreadful. Dreadfully deceptive. As always, thank you for the honest review. ❤️

Kristi Jones: That sounds like Monat!! It made people's hair mat up and fall out! Lawsuits galore!

jackerty: At first it worked quite well for me but only if I left it on 5 mins before rinsing off. Strangely after several months it worked less and less well and I gave up on it. I too thought the dry shampoo was absolutely awful

Janelle Espinosa: So funny ypu didn't like it, I loved it, as does Trinny and Hannah Louise Poston. But it's the other way. The deep/to h is for dry hsir, the original is for oily hair. The brush,is great weather you use the product or not. Hannah has a YT video up on how to use it. It's really for longer drier hair.

Brandy Glenn: I was going to mention Wen. I thought Wen worked very well, but with long hair, I had to use SO much. It wasn’t worth the money.

Stacia Peters: I use this when I get my hair colored to help my color last longer. I have the deep version, but I have long, thick, curly/coarse hair.

Tracy Shaw: Hi Wayne. Have you tried the L’Oréal clay range ( pale green bottles)? My sons loved it in their teens when they had oily hair. They used the shampoo & dry shampoo, skipped the conditioner. It smells amazing, works and is cheap as chips.

Claudette Magaw: I used a friends ( WEN) it literally felt like my hair was greasy after i got done using it.... And she payed alot for it..... Guess what wayne,,, i ran out of hair shampoo. SOoooo i used DAWN- - !!!. It worked like a charm. And left my hair soft. & lasted for days.... I'm not kidding. I was soo shocked..... These expensive shampoos r not worth it. Needless to say,,, i won't b using the DAWN everyday. But,, it sure worked.... ( in a pinch) my story...... B- SAFE.....

Michelle Bowen: I feel that I’ve tried so many dry shampoos and have not been extremely happy with any. Sexy hair, too gritty, redkken…meh…do you have a favorite?

JMK: Love your honest reviews. Think they saw you coming on this one. Hopefully your nearly 4M subbies won't be helping this scam product thanks to your tip off. You still look gorgeous.

Janette Butler: I used New Wash back when it first came out. it didn’t have a scalp brush at that point. I HATED IT! I gave it a fair shake. it was horrible. i’m surprised they’re still in business. I recently tried Native shampoo/ conditioner, 9.00 a bottle, minimal ingredients and I kinda really like it

Phyllis Reklis: Wow! I had the absolute opposite experience with New Wash! Long thick curly hair and it has greatly improved my results...My hair is dry and coarse and this New Wash Rich is glorious! YMMV I guess! shiny. soft easy to manage hair for me! and still on my first pouch...

L B: Simplest (and cheapest) dry shampoo: corn starch. A small box from the grocery store lasts months, it doesn’t use excess packaging and chemicals or propellants and added scents like the stuff in a can, it’s incredibly absorbent and doesn’t leave white residue when dusted onto hair/scalp.

Grace Chen: Thank you for sharing, i am so glad i didn’t buy these products…. My friend has tried it and like you say, feels that it doesn’t clean well.

Katek: I love Batiste. There is another good one out there and I can’t remember the name. That was such a rip off and I’m sorry that happened to you.

Ragata Skata: Batiste dry shampoo is the best for the price ❤️ But I agree that the scent is too strong.

daphne coulter: Lol yep. We have the same hair except mine is mid back and super thick. I like you get so tired of washing daily that you get desperate. I can’t tell you how many different shampoos and methods I’ve tried. There’s one that I’ve been using for months now and still love it called under Luna. It really transformed my hair I hope you try it out. I went from needing to wash daily to I can go a week with the help of dry shampoo. Without it, about day 4 I need to wash again. It’s pricier than say your average shampoo but it’s very concentrated and wayyyy cheaper than hairstory and the like. I use the warrior shampoo and the serenity conditioner. There’s also lighter conditioner as well since you don’t need it for the length. If you try it I so would love to hear your thoughts! Hope this helps ❤️

stormet54: I bought and used one container of New Wash and it was crap! I used Wen for years and loved it. I use regular shampoo and conditioner now.

Meagen B: Hi Wayne. I use a co-wash for curly hair (Curlsmith and I love it). However, my hair is VERY different from yours. I have a dry scalp and dyed, dry hair - that frizzes if not really well conditioned. Curlimith is lovely and works really well. AND I only have to wash my hair every other or every 2 days. The complete opposite of your hair. My scalp and hair love this kind of treatment BUT I can only imagine this type of product is the nightmare experience that you have had. I'm sorry you had this type of experience. Be well.

Margaret Chiodo-Keller: Thanks Wayne, for your honest opinion on these products. I value your opinion.

Julia Kulikova: Are you sure you were supposed to use 4+ pumps? Maybe it was supposed to be just 1 or 2, and you just overloaded your hair with it. I’ve never heard of this one, so it might be exactly as bad as you experienced. But I was just wondering because I can’t believe it was intended for a week of use. My go-to dry shampoo is Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Advanced dry shampoo (it’s the newer one, but even the previous version worked well for my hair).

Kata Good: This is the only video of yours Im actually wetting myself laughing "I do not have hair down to here ‍♀️"my hair felt Vile" ☠ I'm actually lying needing resuscitated

Krisse K: I love the Budgie The Charcoal Dry Shampoo and it smels nice. ❤️

Claire Wright: That’s a lot of money to spend on a product and then it doesn’t deliver ,ouch that hurts.

No Wire Hangers: I love seeing your friendly face

Jan Kelley: Sounds like a cowash. I don’t believe this type of product does anything except give you flat, greasy hair with tons of build up. I don’t see how this type of product can possibly be good for the health of the scalp.

julie Kent: I'm the same. Hair so oily I shampoo every day. I used to hate hairdressers telling me I washed my hair too often and that I needed to only wash my hair a few times a week. Ok. Took their advice and only washed it once in 2weeks, so my hair could adjust to the new routine. The result. Hair so greasy you could fry chips on it. Scalp encrusted with thick sebum and so itchy I couldn't sleep at night. I kept up a new routine of washing my hair only twice a week. I swear they doll out this ridiculous advice after reading it in their hairdressing modules at College. Tried different shampoos, conditioning only the bottom of the hair, you name it. How did I solve my problem? Washing my freaking hair EVERY day. I still have to, and I'm in my fifties..

Watcher NT: I tried one of those co-wash things once, I mean literally on a single occasion, on my not-dry, not-oily hair. It made it feel like a bat shat in it. It went straight in the bin.
