Hey guys so for today's video we're going to be showing you the perfect self-care hair routine, using two of aveda's high-performance plant-powered cruelty-free lines. So thanks so much aveda for sponsoring this video and let's get started so here's my hair before some much needed tlc. So, to start, i'm going to be using the aveda botanical repair line, which instantly strengthens and repairs the hair from the inside out. It has bun building technology that instantly improves the overall look and feel of damaged hair. So, first i'm going to be starting with the aveda botanical repair, strengthening shampoo, it's a creamy texture that cleanses without drying out the hair. It'S also silicone free and removes buildup pollution and excess oil. I definitely had a ton of build up before because i hadn't shampooed in over a week and this shampoo definitely delivered and got rid of all of the product buildup in my hair. This shampoo is also for all hair types and safe for color treated hair. I did shampoo my hair twice to ensure that my hair was 100 cleansed before conditioning next, i'm going to be using the aveda botanical repair, strengthening conditioner. This conditioner is great for all hair textures, it's lightweight, and it gives the hair the added moisture that it needs without weighing the hair down. It will also be a really good co-wash conditioner if you've been on the hunt for one that helps strengthen the hair. It also helps to fight frizz and is great for finger detangling. This step always takes the longest in my routine, in this conditioner made this step a lot easier, so this conditioner is also silicone, free and safe for color treated hair. It left my hair super soft and manageable, so next up is one of the most important steps in any routine, especially damaged hair, and that is deep conditioning i'm using the aveda botanical repair intensive, strengthening hair mask the rich formula. This also comes in a light formula. This mask has won a ton of beauty awards and rightfully so, because the slip and softness that it gives my hair is unmatched with two times the plant lipids. This mask lies through the hair like butter and has a beautiful silky texture with the most amazing slip. It has bond building technology that deeply strengthens and repairs the hair with the power of plants. It also protects the hair against any future damage with regular use. This mask is also safe for color treated hair and is formulated for medium to thick hair. So i didn't even use that much of the mask and as you can see, is spread throughout my hair beautifully. So i just left this in my hair for about 15 minutes. If you have more time, i recommend leaving it in for about an hour now, i'm going to take the aveda botanical repair, strengthening leave-in treatment. This leave-in treatment builds bonds at the core of the hair for stronger, healthier hair. If you're using heat, it also protects up to 450 degrees of heat, as well as protects against uv rays, that drought, the hair. It also smooths and conditions leaving the hair tangle free for styling and that's definitely a game changer in the styling process. Because if you have tangles, it can cause more breakage and lead to more damage, so each step is extremely necessary. So after applying the strengthening leave-in treatment, i went ahead and styled my hair with the aveda v curly curl enhancer, as well as the aveda flaxseed aloe stronghold, sculpting gel. Those are some og products that i used to love back in the day when i attended aveda - and i forgot how much i love them. So here are the results of my hair: healthier, shinier, stronger, curls, okay, guys so i'll, be using the aveda neutral, punish line, and this line is going to add intense, hydration and moisture to the hair and the main ingredient is pomegranate oil, which is rich in omega-5 And super nourishing to the hair. Also aveda's formulas - are cruelty, free and 100 vegan, so we're going to start with a nice good rinse, because my hair is very dry, has a lot of product residue and it's extremely tangled right now. So i'm going to give it a good rinse with warm water, starting with shampoo, i'm going to be using the nutraplenish deep, moisture shampoo, and this has a really creamy formula. The formula is vegan, of course it has a superfood blend of butters and oils, and it does a really good job at cleansing and replenishing the hair without over drying it. I love the shampoo and i actually went in twice to shampoo my hair because i feel like i really needed a double shampoo this time. Typically, i only do once, but this time i wanted to go in twice and my hair still wasn't super dry after it still felt nice and soft and manageable after i shampooed it twice. So i really love the shampoo so okay, so the next step is conditioner and i'm using the aveda neutral, plantage deep, moisture conditioner. This also has a superfood blend of butters and oils. It has a really rich formula, and this was the difference maker for me, because conditioner is an important step. This added a lot of hydration and it also replaced the deep conditioner step or the hair mask step that i would normally do here. But the texture was very rich that i didn't need one, and i made sure i worked it in on my ends mostly, but then i also went back in in section to make sure each section of hair got a good amount of conditioner. This step is very vital in the hair routine because it made it a lot more manageable. When i went in with the styling products so make sure you focus on the conditioning step, mostly because that's going to be the biggest difference maker in your hair, routine and plus, i just love the feeling of lighting conditioner throughout my hair. It just feels nice and nourished, moisturized and hydrated, so love that i also let this sit for about five to ten minutes in my hair, and you can also use this conditioner as a leave-in conditioner. If you have extra dry hair that needs, you know some extra tlc, but i obviously rinse this out after so oh moving on to products that i'm going to be leaving in i'm going to start with the aveda nutraplenish leave-in conditioner. This leave-in is super lightweight. It has a nutrient-powered superfood complex, which means it's hydration benefits, don't come from chemicals or artificial materials. It also has a uv filter that protects the hair from the drying effects of the sun, which is super helpful for the summertime, and it did a really good job. At detangling my hair, it's also very hydrating and actually hydrates the hair for up to 72 hours. Next, i'm going in with the aveda nutraplenish daily moisturizing treatment, and this product did a really good job at locking in the hydration, of course, is also moisturizing, and this is great for hair. That'S in need of some extra tlc, it's very rich and nourishing, but it's not heavy. It'S the perfect texture for adding slip to the curls and slip just makes the hair more manageable makes. It feel super soft and it's the perfect prep right before your final styler and the final styler that i'm going in with is the aveda nutraplenish curl gillette, and this product turned out to be one of my favorites and a pleasant surprise. It'S really hydrating, but it did a great job at defining my curls. It also helped to elongate them and it didn't leave my curls feeling crunchy or hard, so this product gets two thumbs up because it was a pleasant surprise and if you guys don't know, i'm very picky with gels, but this one really made my day. So after i'm done applying all the products i'm going to let my hair air dry and once it's air dried, i'm going to go in with the aveda neutral, plenish multi-use, hair oil, just as a finisher. My hair was already shiny and defined, but this oil has a nice concentrated blend of oils. It wasn't greasy and also added a little extra shine to my hair. So thanks again to aveda for sponsoring this video and make sure you guys click the link in the description box to check out aveda.com and get your hands on any of the products used in today's video thanks.
