OMG, it's finally here! I have been working on this product line for 6 long years and I am SO EXCITED to FINALLY share it with you all! Inspired by my DIY hair product recipes and the requests from my online community, Melanin Haircare was officially founded in 2015!
100% Black Owned - 100% Family Owned. We took ZERO shortcuts, and ZERO compromises, which is why this took so long. There are no investors, just my sister and I, and we built this from the bottom up, through hard work and perseverance.

Hey guys, I'm so sorry about my voice. I am getting over a cold and I didn't want to put this video off any longer. I know a lot of you guys want to see how the product works for the washing go. Unfortunately, this is what I sound like right. Now, I'm getting over a cold. So I'm sorry, but today I'm showing you a wash and go using the melanin hair care products, the twist elongating style cream and the multi-use pure oil blend was used. This is my no gel washing go. I'Ve showed you this technique before and actually in that video I did use the twist elongating style cream, but I figured I would just show you guys again, since you guys wanted a specific video for it. But if you're interested to see how it looked back, then it's pretty much the exact same thing but yeah again, this is a no gel tutorial. I really want you guys to see how the products work in my hair, the twist elongating style cream, is not a gel not made to enhance your natural curl. It'S a butter cream. So it's made to help you seal the moisture into your hair and as a bonus it does have additional moisturizing properties. So I like to use it in my wash and go to help seal the moisture in and if I am using gel, I will use it underneath my gel in this tutorial, I'm not using Jo, so I'll just show you that and I'll also show you my Washing go with Josie, you guys can see that it does work well with gel. This is my natural curl pattern stretched. I did do the banding method to get myself a little bit more length and you'll see that in the video. But yet here is my no gel washing go. I just love the movement, it just feels super light and airy. It just feels like hair, just like healthy hair. I use the oil as well and you guys will see that in the video too, but I hope that this video helps I'm so sorry for the wait on it, but getting over a cold girl. I don't know what the heck happened. I travel to DC for an event and, oh, my god, girl I learned to just travel. Where was I came from now on because I don't have time for this. Alright, I hope you guys enjoy. Also, I extended the free order for one more week, but I was sick and I told you guys that I was gon na give you the washing code toriel. I didn't think it was fair for me to close it without giving you the tutorial first. So it is going to close now on November 3rd, which is Saturday, so all the information will be in the description box. All the information for everything used in this video as well will be in the description box. So if you do want to order any the products, our merchandise you have until November 3rd for the pre-order to get your products first girl all right, all right, I'm done! I need to stop talking cuz, I'm gon na start coughing and say, but I hope you enjoyed the video and alright guys so we're gon na do this in steps. So, of course, step. One is to wash and condition your hair we're gon na pick up right. After I have deep conditioned and yeah, this is me realizing that I'm ashy as hell can't be having it. I'M rinsing the deep conditioner out of my hair and I'm gon na start styling my wash and go one section at a time. It'S just easier for me that way so, starting in the back. First, I'm unraveling one twist, which has already been nicely detangled in conditions and I'm giving it one more wrench, just to make sure all that deep conditioner is out and we're gon na move on to step 2, which is optional. I love spraying the section generously with aloe vera juice. This provides lots of beneficial nutrients to keep my hair and scalp healthy, and it also helps to close my hairs cuticles to seal in the moisture and impart more shine. Step 3 is a leave-in conditioner. I always use a leave-in conditioner before styling, my hair, the melanin twists, elongating style cream does have moisturizing properties, but it's not a leave-in conditioner. It'S designed to be a styling cream. So I like to make sure that I use a leave in conditioner, specifically designed to condition and moisturize the hair long-term, and I work that in all over the section next we're gon na add a nice buttery sealant to lock in all that moisture. I'M grabbing the melanin hair care twist, elongating style cream and you can use as little or as much of this product as you like. I like a medium sized amount and I'm working that into the section making sure to massage it into my ends as well. To help lock in that moisture, keeping them nice and healthy and then lastly, I do one last moisture seal using the melanin, hair care, multi use, pure oil blend and girl. This oil blend is so bomb I'm working into the section and especially the ends. It instantly helps to soften the hair, locking it all that moisture from the water and products and the best part, is that you don't have to rinse it out. It'S formulated to soak into the hair and be non greasy. So I just work that into all my strands and that's it. You'Ve got super hydrated strands that are moisturized, sealed and soft. If you want to add a gel to help define your curls. Now is the time I'm not gon na be adding any gel today and just FYI if you're not into washing, goes with a gel, but you find that you have a lot of frizz in your sections after working your product in from over manipulation, here's my little Trick I just grab a handful of water and I toss it over the section lightly just to get my curls to group together again and that's it now. I just repeat the same process to the next section: rinse out the deep conditioner apply aloe vera juice, which is optional work in your favorite leave-in conditioner to help moisturize work in the melanin hair care twist, elongating styling cream to help seal the moisture in and lastly, I work in a bit of the melanin hair care multi-use, pure oil blend as a final sealant step, locking in the moisture from all the creams, and it helps to soften a section while providing beneficial nutrients. If you're using gel to define your curls now's. The time to add it otherwise move on to the next section repeating the same process all over your head. I don't know yes, and I tell you and that's it once my hair has been treated. I gently squeeze out the excess water with a t-shirt and to tame my annoying little frizz ease that come in the front of my head. I smooth the hair down and bobby, pin it in place on both sides, and now I just let my hair air dry and inevitably shrink up yeah. So it's the end of the night and my hair is dry and shrunken before I head to bed, I'm gon na band, my hair in sections in order to stretch my natural curl and give myself some length back. I have so many videos about my banding method. So I'm not gon na go into too much detail here. If you guys want more info about it, it's gon na be linked in the description box for you, but I basically just take a giant section of hair Irie, more strides with a bit of water and aloe vera juice. So my hair will become pliable and able to be molded again just a tiny bit, not soaking wet I'm grabbing a bit of the twist elongating style cream and the pure oil blend, mixing them together, and I'm gon na use this to help lock in that moisture. Again and now I'm just wrapping my long homemade ribbon tie down the section to help stretch the hair as the curls dry and their new elongated shape, and I like to leave a bit of untouched curls out at the ends. So I repeat this all over my head: creating three sections on each side and yes, I am looking like a dr. Seuss character right now and then I throw on my science scarf and head to bed all right. So it's the morning at O. I am excited so I just carefully unbanned each section fluffing out the curls as I go, where all the hair is released. I just shake it all out and style how I want it to look that. I Thanks raises two and that's it guys. I used mine on dry hair to see how it is going to work, I love the consistency and it melted in my hair. One of my jars is not completely full. I sent the pics to your customer service department because I wanted you to know so that it can be corrected since that is one of the things you are most proud of.
