#naturalhair #washandgo #washandgonogel

Hey guys today, I'm showing my watching go without Joe and I've been doing this a lot lately and it wasn't on purpose, even though flax seed gel takes like 5 seconds to make, I don't know, I just sometimes get really lazy and I don't want to make It so one day I was like you know what let me just do it without Joe. My hair is pretty coyly and defined as it is so just a disclaimer. My hair is naturally very coyly so, as I get out of the shower without any product on it, it has these really tight little pencil coils, which is why you see coyly definition, my hair, even without the gel you're, really working with your natural texture. Here I just know that a wash and go without gel is really going to showcase your own personal, natural texture, because you're not using any gel like aid to define or anything like that and whatever your texture is it's going to be beautiful and uniquely yours. I think a lot of people think that you have to have curls or coils in order to have a wash and go, but a wash and go is literally just washing your hair and going and there's no rules in a washing go that says you have to Have coils or curls, or you have to define you - can have a fluffy washing bill. You can have an afro wash and go. You can have a kinky washing go so whatever your texture is. This style is gon na really help you appreciate it as it is. I just want to put that disclaimer out here, because I know some people are gon na ask because you didn't have gel in your hair. How did you get your hair clean? But it's just naturally that way you don't have to have coils or curls to have a successful, washing go. Obviously, as you can see, frizz is inevitable and I really just love to work with it, especially with this look. It gives you a lot of volume and it's really pretty. I obviously did stretch my texture out. I'M just used to having a more length in my hair, as you guys might know, shrinks all the way up to like here, and you guys will see in the video anyway. I hope you guys enjoy this a jealous, fluffy, soft voluminous wash and go. This is day 2, which is my favorite day, because I get bangs and it's just free. This is my favorite day, alright guys, I hope you enjoy the video all right so to save time, I've already washed and deep conditioned my hair in sections and we're just gon na pick up a tutorial from here working one section. At a time I rinse all the deep conditioner out of my hair and I'm gon na lock the moisture in with my DIY hair oil. Did you miss it? I haven't featured this and so long. I'Ve honestly just been too lazy to make it yeah. I know pretty sad but yeah. We actually need it, for this washing goes down applying a generous amount to the section from ends to roots, and if you don't have all the oils for this mixture, you can just use one oil like olive oil. Now it's little lock all that moisture into my hair and that I rinse the section to remove that greasy feeling of the oil resulting in just soft moisturized hair next grabbing a creamy leaving conditioner and applying that all over the section from ends to roots all the Products are gon na be linked in the description box by the way and last but not least, locking in all that moisture from the oil and leave-in using your favorite butter ceilings, I'm all out of mango butter. So today, we're using my shea butter, cream and I'll link the recipe in the description box, for you guys to check out, and yes, the one I'm using today is made without coconut oil for anyone who's wondering. So I applied that to the section just squeezing it in gently so that I don't move any of the product and, as you can see it's a bit frizzy, usually a layer of gel gets rid of that. But since we're not using gel, I'm gon na quickly dunk the section under water to get the definition back without losing too much product. Alright, so now release another section and repeat: rinse out the deep conditioner seal with your favorite oil rinse away the top greasy layer of the oil. So your hair just feels nice and soft, apply a creamy, leave-in conditioner and then apply your favourite butter sealant cream to lock everything in if you find your hair gets frizzy, just dunk it under the water for a second to reset the definition. This section was actually not too frizzy, so I just let it be it's your choice. Alright, so grab another section and repeat this simple process. All over your head now, once I've styled my entire head, I grab a t-shirt and I just blot my hair by squeezing it gently on both sides to get rid of any excess water, and I've got these annoying little wild hairs. That pop up in my middle part, so I'm gon na tame them by smoothing them down with my fingers and securing them in place with two bobby pins, and I do this on both sides. Now I just hop under my hooded dryer for about an hour to dry on medium heat and when I get out from under the dryer, my hair is super shrunken and soft and very bouncy. Now I could leave it like this, but I'm gon na stretch my hair to get more length back and I've already made a ton of videos on how I do this. It'S called the banding method and I'll link some of my banding videos in the description box. If you guys want a detailed tutorial, but for this video it's just gon na be the cliffnotes, so I grabbed my hair and large section. I realized with a bit of water, so the hair is pliable. I seal that moisture back in with my shea butter cream and then I grab my homemade ribbon hair bands and I wrap them all the way down the section in order to elongate my hair. It'S a simple process, just smooth and pull the section as you go down again, if you want more details on this method, check the description box, where I've linked all my banding videos. So now, just repeat this, bending with it all over your head, and I have three sections on both sides for a total of six sections. I cover with a large satin, scarf and head to bed now in the morning. All I do is remove the ribbon ties and fluff out my hair. My should be more now. This is first day hair. It'S not my favorite cuz, it's kind of flat, but I still like it so to preserve this look, I just pineapple my hair at night and of course I have a detailed video on how I pineapple at night, which you can find in the description box and Here'S the next morning, so I just shake it out and style as I want. I love that the pineapple gives my hair so much more volume the next day, there's just so much more life. So, even though the front of my hair is starting to grow a little bit too long, I can still manage to make some bangs out of it. Nice, it's never gon na stop. I can help us, so that's my simple technique for an easy, washing go without the use of gel. I hope you guys enjoyed this tutorial. I hope it helps and I'll see you in the next one.

Naptural85: Hey Guys! I hope you enjoy this No Gel Wash and Go! Everything mentioned is linked in the description box, including the makeup worn, XO! ❤️

Mini M.U.I.: "Whatever your texture is, it's going to be beautiful and uniquely yours", this is why I think you are one of the true Queens of Natural hair. That was so true and such a beautiful thing to say. You have helped so many women, may God continue to bless you!

Bunnie: How has this channel not surpassed a million subscribers yet?! She is literally the natural hair GODMOTHER! Everyone in the natural hair community can vouch for this, literally EVERYONE!

Lolade Fashola: I love how she expresses how every curl, coil, and kink is beautiful and unique

HeyOby: That yellow eye with that pink lip combo is EVERYTHING! Also, get this woman to 1 million subs. She really has been holding it down for the natural hair culture since like forever

Lorraine Goma: Thank you for reminding us that curl definition isn’t everything ! . I love the way your hair came out

Olissa La-Shaun: I really like what she said in the beginning of the video. I remember being upset that I could never wear my 4c hair as a wash and go because my curls wasn’t defined. Now that the weather is getting a little nicer I’ll attempt a wash and go. Wash & go doesn’t mean having only defined curls. Thanks for that bit Whit ❤️

Alix Giggles: Omg, if only my texture was as consistent as yours. My looser hair hangs long at the bottom and my tighter hair shrinks up at the top of my head. Whoever designed my hair layout was having way too much fun.

ABI'S CHOICE REMEDY: My naturally beautiful sis

taimatsuko: I love how fluffy it is!!!! Also, I love that you embrace the frizz. I think frizz is a beautiful part of our hair that really softens styles.

GEM Naturals: I'm slightly embarrassed to admit that I shouted, "Ooooooh!!" when I saw you uploaded a video! Your videos are always a breath of fresh air!! And it's wash day for me? Perrrrfect timing! Lol!!

BeautyntheKinks: I tried this Monday and honestly my hair feels amazing. My hair is still defined but very frizzy. 4a-4c. But i love it so much gel defines my hair but it dries my hair out so much. My hair has never felt so soft. So im here for it especially since summer is on its way

Antenia: You help us type 4 girls really see the beauty in our hair. Thank you

DopeNoLye: Thanks for sharing love! I’m almost 5 years natural and even though I feel like I’ve mastered taking care of my natural hair, you’re still my inspiration since day one in 2013 when I started my journey.

Milagros Milliner: Hi Whitney! You have beautiful hair!! I’m so glad you mentioned that a successful wash and go doesn’t have to mean defined curls or coils!! We all should love what our hair does whether it be kinks, frizz, whatever.

Kira Divine: Thank you for all of your tireless research and development. You have done so much to educate the natural hair community!!

A Curly Engineer: I actually bought the same leave-in conditioner, for the first time, a couple of weeks ago! I’m going to try this technique for a wash-n-go to give myself a break from gel, this week! Thank you so much for your helpful tips! Your hair came out great!❤️❤️❤️

Malcolm Wallace: The bounce and shine in your hair is everything. The perfect motivation I needed to layer products the way I know my hair likes

Darlene Means: WOW!! Is all I can say your hair is amazingly beautiful. Can you sometimes not believe that you have achieved this mane? I am 2.5 yrs in and I am amazed that my hair can do what it is doing. I am so in love with my afro. I cant stop looking at it, shaking it, talking to it. watching your videos tells me that the best is yet to come.

Elderberry Jamz: I've been doing gel-free wash & go's for the past couple months and I love it. Today is wash day and I'm thinking about trying gel for the first time in awhile bcus it's supposed to rain all week and FL humidity is a monster.

April Denice: Whitney Your hair looks so amazing && healthy #HairGoals

Siinyx: I really love how you touched on the varying results some may get from a wash and go like this. It definitely set me up for a realistic expectation of my hair! You saved me today because I had hair paint wax in my hair that had started flaking. I had a date and had three hours to get ready so this was perfect, my hair came out so cute and voluminous!

From A to 4z: I don't usually do wash and goes because my ends knot, but I do them without product. I love the way that yours turned out! It looks so soft and shiny! Also, I've got to try that trick to make bangs!

Neileya Jones: The thing about the pineapple method is that since my hair isn't very thick it doesn't just fall like yours does. It sticks up in some places and I end up having to bobby pin it down Anybody else with this problem?

Debra Banks Cuadro: This reminds me of your "No Fuss Quick Summer Beach Curls" video except on that one you only use your oil. To this day (for the past almost 5 years), I do my wash n' go using that method. For me, it has been the easiest by far with consistent results every time! Thanks for all of your wonderful tips!!

J Lenore Budgets: Whitney, I absolutely adore you. You are the only you tuber that gets the privilege of ringing my bell!!! Lol (notification squad) I currently have a short TWA but have recently stopped cutting. I use most of the same products you do and they work very well for my hair. Now, if I can just get this protein/moisture balance together, I will FINALLY have my ultimate routine and it's all thanks to you!!! Keep up the great work!!!

F3MB0T: Curls poppin even without gel Watching this reminds me why I did my 2nd big chop after 10yrs natural lol. Wash n go on my fade/bald head is so quick and easy now lmaooooo

Alexia Gallien: Life saver! I’m a little discouraged about my hair length so I’m coming up with a regimen to help my hair grow healthier. So this video was so nice to help you fellow natural sistas

Tiffany Harvey: Thank you so much for this video @Naptural85! I love how you mentioned that we can have any type of wash n go whether if it's a kinky, coily or an afro wash n go!! I'm not a fan of my wash n gos but now I feel a little more confident to embrace my natural texture without having to put gel in my hair.

Annette Sinclair Silva: Just did my wash n go a few hours ago and went by your last video for it. I can never say enough of how moisturized my hair is!!! I do finish with Uncle Funkys Daughter leave-in and gel. It lasts for days!!!! Thank you for sharing thing this...love to embrace my frizz as well!!!

Asia Mmkay: Yes! A no gel routine! Our hair type is similar. Been watching for years. Thank for sharing once again!

copper paper: Looks gorgeous!! So bouncy and shiny. I am also really into this yellow eyeshadow and pink lip! A diluted Rhassoul clay rinse also helps clump curls without gel. ❤️

Vanecia Hidalgo: Omg did this with oil mixture (castor, avocado, and olive) Pau Mitchell’s generic leave-in and melted raw she’s butter. My ‘4c’ hair was moisturizer for an entire week!! Which has never happened btw. ❤️❤️✨

ChrissyG: I'm 8.5 months post relaxer and I'm transitioning back to natural. Seeing this video make me even MORE excited!!! :)

Julicia Rose: Your “flat” first day hair is my hair volume goals #TeamFineHair #TeamFlatHair Thanks for another great video, Whitney!

Nicole M: Hair Goals! ♥️ I’m trying to get my hair to about this length while it’s curly because I’m getting sick of this shrinkage!

TrishanaRenay: I tried it! While I was going through the process, I remembered that I used to get my hair done like this. It never came out right (too much tangles) because I didn't do these steps that Whitney does. Anyway, my hair was left in banded sections since Sunday night (today is Tuesday), I was worried about tangles as my hair tangles at the roots pretty easily. My hair is super soft, a bit frizzy but I like it and my roots are totally tangle free! I love it.

Naomi Hoffman: Amazing! I’m an Aussie with just some wavy white girl hair and this really opened my eyes into just how different African American hair is to mine! Whenever I have seen women with hair like yours I had no idea it was such a process! I naively assumed that the hair just always was like that without any product and it was maintenance free! Also... if I put even half the product you use in my hair it would be a slick mess- prob even a quarter! Amazing!

Suellen Matos Machado: Que cabelo maravilhoso!!! Linda!

it's.jrenee27: I did this after watching your video and my hair came out so soft and it's still very defined but I dont use gel in it anyway it's just naturally defined and of course it has frizz in random sections. But thank you for your speech in the beginning I think some of us needed that

CocoB: Beautiful!! I love switching up my wash n go with a fluffy fro. It feels so good when the breeze flows thru my kinks lol

Paul Stuart: Embracing your natural hair is absolutely special and beautiful. I also appreciate it takes a lot of time and effort. I have total admiration for you

Godly Child: Gorgeous! Just started my natural hair journey this year and compiling my list of amazing videos like yours.

rose violet: I noticed that when I co- washed last night, my curls were ! Defined and coily with no product!

Sherry Davis: Hey Whitney! I have been a fan for the longest. This is my first post. But I do want you to know, I love all the advice you give. In my mind, my hair will be as long as your hair. Your tips are great. My hair is healthy. My stylist gives me compliments when I go in for my trims. Thanks again.

Pardesi Trotter: I recently discovered your channel and I’m obsessed. ✨ I’m Indian and my hair is wavy. But I’m still going to try some of the tips that you suggest which I think would work well for any hair type. I love how you incorporate natural products on your hair. Love your positive vibe and the content.

BossBabe: This is epic! I've been trying to figure out a way to use less gel in my hair so I am dying to try this. Thanks for sharing

Iyana Scott: I love the little speech in the beginning. That’s so true. Everyone’s hair is different and you have to embrace your own. You hit it right on the head like usual

TamikaD: I loved watching your hair under the water. It's so bouncy and healthy. I agree with you that your hair is much more healthy this time around.

Gabrielle Miller: Woah. I've always had that middle part issue and that was such a simple solution. Thanks Whitney!

Sun Spear: Your motivational speeches are always appreciated, keep them coming . I have always thought about a no gel set, next wash day I will experiment Thanks

Tonya: Wonderful video! I especially liked the beginning regarding wash/go and expectations. Wonderful message for our young sisters and brothers.

mslongtoes: you taught me how to love and take care of my type 4 curls 5 years ago, now I'm almost at waist length

Sarah Sims: Inspirational! Thanks for give me my next hairstyle!

Kimmie Latrice: So beautiful! Seeing nap in the shower washing her hair is just so calming....I love you girl!

prettyproblem16: Whitney you are so beautiful!!! Omg yes queen . I love all of your hair and makeup looks in this video. I'm 25 and I feel like I've been watching your videos since high school such a beautiful woman/journey. You are so blessed thank you for your videos ❤️✌️

hermit_artemis: I love the first day look actually, but this is gorgeous on you on any day for sure!

Tanya Williams: Absolutely Beautiful! Thank you for sharing. I've been thinking about a no gel wash n go.

Southern_K Brown: Hey Whitney! Love this, your hair looks great!

Natstastic J: I tried this last night and my WNG was BOMB!!! I used to wonder how much the putting the oil on then rinsing it off actually did for one’s hair (I’ll admit, it seemed redundant to me), but i just went with it... and boy was I rewarded for my “faithfulness”!!! THE BEST Fluffy, and ultra DEFINED wash and go I have EVER had in my life!!! Thank you so much!!!

Kesha Petty: Beautiful as always! I really appreciated your disclaimer in the beginning letting me know that I don't have to have curly coily hair to get a wash n go because I definitely don't have that type of natural hair and I don't use gel at all. I always felt that I couldn't achieve those results with my hair type. Thank you! I just may try it out now.

Live, Love & Learn Naturally: Love it! And the yellow eyeshadow look too xx

Surrenderingall: Ive been watching all your old videos to get my hair back on track after tons of damage and you are just blossoming into such a beautiful women although you have always been such a beautiful person anyway!

PixelatedTwix: Thank you for this! I don’t have a lot of time for gel applications. I used to watch another YouTuber by the name of Cynthia who did wash and go’s with conditioner only. I used that method for a long time and it worked great!

Shawn Myrelle: Made your african black soap shampoo. It was great and had really been helping my scalp with dryness. I made the mistake of letting it stay in over night. It was like a net over my scalp, but in the process of getting it off my scalp, I became comfortable with my shrinkage and realized I really like wet braids. I'm not as reluctant to get my hair wet anymore. Through the mistakes and correct things, Nap you really help us out.

Susie Redish: I do not like gel..so this is perfect!

Single and Saved TV: Love it! And I'm here for the simplicity of it!

Nomena R: I love the first & the 2nd day hair, all suit you so well

Jennifer Murdock: I'm always entertained by how much your hair bounces while you wash it!! :D My hair doesn't do that so it's fun to see yours do it

Maria Fernandez: I have been sharing the news of how knowledgeable you are. You helped me tame my natural hair back when I all I did is wash, condition, and detangle. I did not know about variety and hid my natural hair under wigs. I love the styles I can rock. Thanks to you. I hope you reach your million followers and then some.

Healthoverlength: If my hair turned out like this I’d never use gel thanks for listing your lippies

Esther Costa: Tem como curtir esse cabelo mais de uma vez? Perfeito!!! | Can I like this hair more than once? Perfect!!!

Tamiko Garner: OMG serious hair goals!!!! I just love your hair- the body, the fullness, and the coils:)!!

Sacha May: Thank you so much for this video I thought that I was the only one experiencing shrinkage when I try to do a wash n go but this video has helped me a lot thank you so so much

Evangeline Wtts: Pretty as all ways! I have been doing a no gel wash and go. So simple and easy.

Jewerly Suero: Love love loved!!!! This tutorial. Thank you!!!!

Godsgirl4shezie: Your hair is really coming back and better than ever! Hair care is definitely a journey. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of it!!!

Moongem: I love how she says, "Now this is first day hair; it's not my favourite, 'cause it's kind of flat." Meanwhile she looks like a radiant goddess with insanely voluminous hair. Anyone else with fine 4c hair have the same reaction?

Cheyenne Parris: Amazing results and you look absolutely stunning!

Yetstill: Thank you so much Whit! I am interested in seeing my curls more and I hope to achieve that with this method! Thank you so much again

Whitney Hughes: THANK YOU for recommending the high porosity deep conditioner. Changed my LIFE!!!!! Hair twin, so I trust your recommendations!!

SparklyTresses: You always have such great techniques! How many days do you get out of this type of wash n go? Thank you for all that you do for us natural hair ladies!❤️

Pamela Harris: Whitney your hair is so beautiful and thank you showing us your wash and go

MASHEEKIA: love the yellow eyeshadow. Everyone should wear their favorite color as eyeshadow! I think small pineapples with silk scrunchies would give you day 2 hair on day 1

Taylor Danae': I'm in love with this wash and go it looks bomb as usual

Reignann Powell: So inspiring. I haven’t worn a wash n go in years. But I’m gonna try again soon! ❤️

TrishanaRenay: GIIIIIRRRRRLLLL!!!! Your hair is glorious!!!! Making me want to cut all my hair off and start over lol.... I'm really worried about a wash and go on my hair without get as my hair tangles like nothing else. I don't use gel for definition, I use it to keep my curls in their little sections therefore minimizing tangles. I'll try it tho and see what happens. Looking for more low manipulation styles outside of protective styling and I'm willing to try this.

Dominique Guilford: Your hair looks so healthy & beautiful!!! #goals

Sheba Sow: This was super helpful!!!

Myesha: I have not used Shea butter in so long but this reminds me that in small amounts my hair loves it. Your hair is flourishing⭐️ and this makeup ❤️

pajamagirl123: Watching your hair bounce is kind of mesmerizing

dale underdue: Just love your ez wash and go! Just beautiful! Thank you!!!

The Jazzy Nation: As always, loved it. You always kill the hair videos.

Double✨P: Always admire your videos and was looking forward to purchasing your new product but found out yesterday from another influencer that the 5th ingredient is glycerin and I’m so glycerin sensitive. I’m 3c/4a and thin curly. Love your hair. I have to do mine everyday. It is a chore

MsBBpink: Your hair is too fabulous! Love it :)
