Hey everybody so today, i'm here with a video i've been telling you i'm gon na make for the longest time and i'm finally sitting down to make it. It is my hair update. So i have a few things that i want to cover in this video. A lot of you have been asking me questions about my no heat challenge. How did that go? What are my thoughts now that i've completed it? You were asking me about the rice, water treatment that i was doing what i think about that. What products i'm using now, so i'm going to give you the rundown on all of those things today. First, let's start with the no heat challenge, i made a video announcing that i wasn't going to use any heat of any kind on my hair for an entire year. I believe i did that like the end of 2019, if i'm not mistaken so all of 2020, i did not use any heat and then after that was over, i went a little longer than just 12 months. I believe i went 15 months after that. I straightened my hair and i did a video on it, showed you guys the results of that and i was really happy with how my hair was after i straightened it. It just felt really healthy. I was happy with the length and also my hair reverted right back to its natural state. I didn't get any heat damage, so that was great. As for the no heat challenge, it was actually so easy for me, i'm not the type of person that uses a lot of heat on my hair anyway, but occasionally i would blow dry occasionally i would straighten to do you know some type of style, usually an Updo like if i wanted my hair to be super sleek, i would flat on my hair and do stuff like that, but for an entire year i didn't blow dry. I didn't flat iron, i didn't curl. I didn't use any type of heat tools on my hair and to me my hair really did flourish during that time, and it was also kind of like freeing to take heat styling off the table that option for some reason. I don't know why, but it was freeing for me and there are just so many ways you can style your hair without putting heat to it. Like today i did my hair. I did like a flexi raw set curl, my hair, no heat, let it air dry took it out, put it into this nice little puff i have going on and so like. I said it was extremely easy to go that year. I really could have went way longer so all year, y'all were seeing me in this style and that style. I was always changing my hair up and i did not require any heat because some people they're like well. How do you style your hair, and i used to be like that too? I used to think like there's no way you can get intricate style or a really smooth style, or just a really polished style without straightening or blow drying, or doing something like that, and i'm here to show you guys. I'M living proof y'all see all the time that you definitely don't have to use heat. So if you're noticing a lot of breakage - and you also use heat styling a lot - please cut down on that - please cut down on styling your hair with heat and manipulating it. So much because that will really really help you. I did notice one drawback to my no heat challenge, and that is the fact that i started to notice. I had a lot of single strand knots and i'm not sure if it was just because i was looking at my hair more often looking at my hair more closely just to see if i saw any changes, but i definitely did see that i got a lot Of single strand knots - and that was maybe i want to say, like three or four months into my no heat challenge i started noticing. I was going through my hair and like there's a little knot at the end, so it could be related to me not using any heat in my hair or it could be related to just the styles. I was doing at the time i'm not 100 sure, but i did notice that so i wanted to tell you guys about it, but that was really the only drawback that i found with the no heat challenge. It was literally a cake walk, and now i haven't been seeing a bunch of single strand knots in my hair and i'm still not using heat like that. I'Ve used heat when i did my straightening video and i think i might have used it one time after that. But apart from that, i haven't been using it and my hair is doing swell yeah, i'm going to continue to severely limit the amount of heat that i use on my hair. I highly encourage you guys to try it if you're one of those people who is used to styling your hair with heat tools think outside the box come up with some ways that you can style your hair without using them check out my videos check out my Natural hair playlist, if you need some ideas and inspiration, because i have a bunch what else about the no heat challenge, i think that's pretty much it if you guys have any other questions, leave them below the rice, water treatment. Okay, so i did a video on it praising the benefits of the rice, water treatment and you guys - i really really do still stand by that video. I still do love using the rice water treatment in my hair, but it's just that i just couldn't keep up with it and at first i was like i'm going to be super consistent with this, because i really want to give you a true update on how It works for my hair. What changes, if any, that i saw over a long period of time, but the treatment that i did. I let the water sit for a couple days and because of that, i have to like map out and really like plan on washing my hair, because the treatment takes a few days to be ready and then i can use it on wash day. But a lot of the times i just wash my hair on random days i'll be like uh. My hair feels a little dirty and i want to clean it or i'll be like i want to change my hair up. I want to do a different style today. So i'm going to wash it and start over so the rice, water kind of just didn't fit into my lifestyle and my non-hair washing schedule, because i do it so randomly so i haven't been doing the rice water treatment as much as i'd like to because by The time i think of it, i'm already washing my hair, so it's too late to prepare it in my experimentation, video that i did, i was using it once a week and some people in the comments were like that might be protein overload over a long period Of time you might want to slow down, so i was trying to stick to doing it once a month and i still couldn't stick to it because of what i just said. It didn't work into my schedule so now i am going to attempt to do the rice, water treatment at least every other month. I think i can do that because i really do love the way it make. My hair feel. It definitely feels like my hair is stronger when i use it. It definitely feels like my hair is even more manageable when i use it very much so easy to detangle. I really do love the fact that when i use the rice water treatment, i definitely notice a lot less shedding on wash days. So i can appreciate that and i do think that it is beneficial well, it has been beneficial to me. I haven't noticed any negative effects from it from using it thus far, so i will continue to use it, i'm just like trying to maintain some consistency with it. So that's the update on the rice, water. I still stand by it. I still recommend it. If you haven't tried it, try it out and see how you like it for your hair, see if it helps your hair to be stronger and decrease your shedding like it has for me now. As for the products that i use in my hair, my go-to products have changed from the last time i've done like a product video which was years ago. I believe so what i use - and i don't use a lot of things in my hair by the way, try to keep it simple. So what i've been using on my wash day this right here melanin. This is the african black soap reviving shampoo and the melanin multi-use softening leave-in conditioner. Now you guys have seen me use this in a couple videos. I used it as um. I use it a lot as a leave-in conditioner when i am about to do box, braids and stuff. I also use this as a moisturizer in between wash days so you've seen this before, but you haven't seen me use the melanin shampoo, but i use these a lot and i've been wanting to try this actually for a while, and so i went out, got this And i've been hooked ever since now i have used a couple. Other brands like in sponsored videos just to try them out and share with you the results, but the melanin, shampoo and conditioner. This is what i live for. This is what i spend my money on. This is what i always have so ever since i started this, i have been using it consistently and i really really really do love these two products and it makes wash day a breeze. Aside from that, i use olive oil in my hair. I love olive oil. I have some in this little bottle here um. This just helps to maintain the shine make my hair look really lustrous and olive oil is such a good thing to use in your hair. It makes my hair feel really really nice and it's all natural, so bonus points for that used it in my hair today. So that's pretty much. The only oil that i use and then the other staple that i have is edge control. I always like to slick down my edges, make everything look really smooth. I still use eco styler, like i've been using for years, but lately i've also been using this. This is called edge booster and this is a stronghold water-based pomade. So this works really well too. I actually used it today on my hair, so that's what i have on my edges in case you guys are wondering so i kind of alternate between the two, depending on what type of style that i'm doing. If i'm doing something where there's a lot of intricacy, i tend to use the eco styler gel. If i'm doing something really simple and all i have to do is lay my like my edges in the front i'll use. This smells really good. This is the cherry scent and i like that. I can just slick down my edges. It doesn't leave me any type of residue, no flaking, and it really holds my edges in place so yeah. Those are four things that i use on a regular basis: shampoo, conditioner olive oil edge control with those things i can be totally set. I can do most of my styles, the only other thing that i would use and that's only if i'm doing a curly style like today, i will use a mousse and that's pretty much it so five products on my hair and i'm good. Anything else is just extra one. Other thing i want to mention in this video that i really love for my hair, especially if i'm wearing a style like this. This puff is a hair hook. They just help make the gathering process and the wrangling process like if you're, making a high puff or a ponytail or something like that, helps make that process so much easier. You can hold your hair together with one hand and just wrap it around with the other. When you're using an elastic band, your hair can kind of get those lumps sometimes because you have to pull your hair through the band, pull the band up twist. It around pull your hair through again and do all that it's a lot of like moving parts. But when you use a hair hook boom hold it wrap it around set, but yes, so far so good. My hair has been doing amazing. I did get some questions. I get this question a lot actually about diet and hair growth. A lot of you have asked me if i noticed a change in my hair once i change my diet, and i think i've answered this before in a video, but you know everybody doesn't see every video, but just to reiterate, i definitely do think that me going Plant-Based it did something in my body. It did something where, as though my hair started flourishing, as some of you know all of my life up until i was into adulthood, my hair was extremely short. My hair was always brittle. My hair was always breaking it. Never grew, it never grew past my shoulders. I always wanted to grow up my hair. I always wanted longer hair and it just didn't seem like it would ever happen for me. But after i went plant-based, even though i was still doing those like bad hair practices. My hair started to grow. I started to see length and i was like, oh my goodness, so that was really surprising, because i didn't go plant-based to grow out my hair, but that was definitely like a side effect that started to happen and then once i actually started caring for my hair. A bit better, i started to really see some fullness, because my hair was always thin just getting in more fruits and vegetables. Getting in a lot more water has really helped with my hair health. So that's one thing i do want to point out as well and let me just say this might be going on a tangent, but i really dislike the narrative that natural hair is so difficult to manage so difficult to maintain you guys, i'm going to insert a Clip of what my hair looks like freshly washed natural texture, no product in it. You can see that my hair is extremely tightly coiled. It'S very kinky. It can get tangled very easily. It can get really dry looking, but even with that, even with the texture that i have those tight tight coils, my hair is really easy to manage and back in the day i was one of those people who thought like. Oh, this is so much work. Oh, this is like too much. I need to just throw a relaxer in my hair, but really, if you find products that work for you, if you get like a regimen that works for you, keep it as simple as possible. Your hair doesn't have to be a chore. I actually look forward to wash days. I love washing my hair, i love getting in there feeling clean and fresh and my wash day is like the easiest thing ever i'm going to be filming my updated wash day routine. It'S pretty much the same, but i'm going to show you guys what i do with my current products. My current staple products that i haven't um put in a video before so i'm just going to give like an updated wash day routine. But it's pretty much the same steps and it works. It works so well to just lay a good foundation for whatever style i want to do so. I encourage you guys to like think in a different way approach it in a different way, if you're having issues with your hair dial, it back try to simplify what you're doing. Try not to over complicate the process come up with a routine that works for you works for your lifestyle and, most importantly, your hair natural hair can be just as easy to care for as any other type of hair, our hair is beautiful. Our hair is fabulous. Our hair is like versatile. You can do so many things with it, which is why i love having my natural essence. I really don't have any hair goals in terms of length, but i definitely do this year want to start trying new styles like styles that are unexpected. For me, i've been doing a lot of box braids. I'Ve been doing a lot of puffs a lot of curly styles, but i kind of want to step out of that and get more into my natural hair. Creativity, like i was more back in the day doing a bunch of different like intricate styles, so we'll see about that. But if there's any styles that you haven't seen me wear that you think would look nice on me or you just want me to experiment with. Let me know what those are in the comment section and give me some ideas, so i can like decide on which direction i want to go in, but yeah. If there's any other hair related questions, you have, let me know what they are, thanks, guys for watching and i'll catch up with you on my next one: peace.

Latoya L.: I was on the no heat challenge with you. It was easy since I don’t really use heat on my hair. To be honest, you’re the reason my hair is longer than ever. I started following you 4 years ago when I decided to transition over to natural. My hair is now to the middle of my back. I just want to thank you for helping me through this natural hair journey!

S C: You can tell Kim genuinely enjoys making content for us. Thank you for these updates!

marvinandjosh1: You’re so right. Natural hair can be so much easier than YouTube makes it. Once you find the right products and techniques, natural hair can be a breeze.

Tia: You know what’s my hair goal? Making “wash days” just a “wash hour or 2”. It can’t keep eating up my whole day/weekend like this, I have things to do.

Marcyl Gray: I love the support of other black YouTubers! I just started using the Melanin leave-in conditioner too and love it. And heading your rice water video again because I meant to start it but keep forgetting. So I feel that random wash day love. Thank you.

K La'jate: I loved the last part you said taking care of natural hair isn't hard. Set easy routine with products that work for you thats it. I haven't had a relaxer since 2006 and haven't missed it since.

Miss OverT: Honestly I’ve been watching you ever since I was about 13, two years ago, your ways of teaching me how to fix my hair really helped me! My hair has grown, but it’s still shoulder length which I like it to be I haven’t really straightened it yet, but might get a blow out sooner or later. But once I’m in college I feel like I should do what you eat in a day routines!

Joy Deja King: Love her hair and absolutely adore her positive attitude in this video. She looks so pretty too❤️❤️

KC: Can't wait to see the updated wash routine. The no heat challenge was easy for me too. Did it for 17 months.

Medina Anderson: Love this video!! Honestly when I comb out my locs and started wearing my loose natural hair, your wash day routine was the best. It was simple and easy to replicate and maintain. I wasnt overwhelmed with products and steps. My hair has been healthy and flourishing. Can’t wait to see your updated wash day routine!

Margaret A.: I did the No Heat Challenge alongside you last year and my hair grew tremendously! What I noticed was that I was having an issue with was my edges (protective styling definitely did a number on me.) I would love to know if rice water can help fill in the sparse areas near my temples.

Jeralyn Langford: To help with consistency, I’d recommend making the water and refrigerating it without the rice. Refrigerating the water without the rice will preserve it without continuing the fermenting process. It can be refrigerated for up to one week.

KIS4Beauty: Thank you Kim for being honest about the race water journey. I find it's hard to maintain a monthly schedule as well. I purchased the hair hooks years ago when you recommended them but I find that the hook gets tangled in my hair. Any tips?

Honeychild1623: Another great video, thankyou Kim! I came across your wash day video and i never left here! It was such a breath of fresh air to see someone with such a simple routine with simple products and really healthy hair. Thankyou for the PSA on natural hair, everything you said is true. I looooooove my hair and wash day, seeing my curls bounce is everything to me! :-)

Christal Williams: Melanin Haircare was a game changer for me. It works great. I literally haven’t used anything else in my hair besides diy areyuvedic oils, sprays and deep conditioners. I really was amazed that I had found products that checked all the boxes that I could use exclusively and not worry about buying or using anything else. I have given away most everything else I was using and stocked up on the shampoo and conditioner for me and my little.

Ropanzar Matthews: Love your videos Kim. We have similar hair type and so I have been following you from your entwine days. Lol. But I have gone back and forth with natural and relaxed hair. However being at the point of wanting to go back to relaxer this video kinda gave me a push to stay the course. Thanks. Question: Did you enjoy doing your hair when it was short? I am frustrated with my length. That has always been my reason for going back to getting a relaxer.

Yogi Neferititi: I've been using a mixture of avocado oil, grape seed oil, and rosemary. All organic. Crazy hair growth!!

Je Dan: Girl...I remember watching you long time ago. I just ran into your video and recognized your face. I know I have been natural for 12 years now. I was just 1-2 years beginning stages when I stumbled on your YouTube video back then. Plus you are a mom like me....with a 2yr old....congratulations. Very different now. Keep up the videos...please.

Adna Loy: Thank you for saying that about natural hair! I don't think it is any harder to take care of our natural hair than relaxed hair. In fact, if anything, it is easier because you don't have to worry about the harsh chemicals, etc. The issue is that people have to learn to take care of their own texture. If you have never done it, there is a learning curve and you cannot treat our natural hair like relaxed hair because it is different. I love my curls!

LuxurCr3 Tv: Yes queen I literally went relaxed a month ago just Bc I was dead ass over it n I literally went through a wtf phase the whole month it was cute but just as hard to maintain and then I glued tracks n and I haven’t done that in over 10 yrs it pulled my hair off I shaved my head I’m starting natural again as of yesterday no products no nothing but a oil until I have enough hair to decide witch products I wanna use maybe I should try it’s n see how it works out

Deshawnda Blackmon: Thank you for sharing your natural hair journey. I have used several of your techniques. I just finished the rice water and it helped my hair. Just wondering have you ever used hibiscus and fenugreek on you hair to prevent shedding? Have an amazing weekend

Teddi Marie: I love the Melanin Shampoo and LC, they have become some of my staples. The shampoo cleans the hair so good and the LC is moisturizing and multi-purpose. Love your videos, Kim

Jetaun Joyner: You are my hair muse for real. I love your hair, nails and fashion videos. Your the reason I started doing my own nails and now I will never go back to the shop because I’m getting that good. My hair is the next goal. Finding styles that I won’t get bored with.

Nika C: OMG, a hair talk vid! I luv this! I started watching you years ago for hair tutorials & inspiration. You're probably the only person that switched to more of a lifestyle channel that I actually still follow. I luv the food vids, but I get xtra happy when it's hair! Your hair truly has flourished over the years! I really like Melanin Hair Care, I haven't used the shampoo, but I use the conditioner, oil & styler on my 3 youngest babies & hubby's locs... it's def a staple.

Kitty Blagmon: I completely agree about your diet although I’m not plant based I’ve noticed eating more fruits and vegetables and drinking nothing but water have kicked my hair growth into super speed. I love your channel. Love all your videos may God continue to bless you and your entire family

Queen and Bear: Loving these videos! It's been 11months no heat for me. Going to the salon this week for a trim and blow out pray for me no heat damage

Erika N.: thanks for your content! i’ve learned that rice water should actually ferment longer than three days. most say at least a week and i’ve seen some reports that the Yao women actually ferment it up to 3 weeks. the longer fermenting time actually makes it more accessible bc you have have a batch or two fermenting at all times. lil tip.

Raechell Nichole: Great video! When it comes to growing healthy hair, it's really about keeping it simple!!

Kellionta' Mason: Great video as always!! You were one of the first people I started following on YouTube when I started my natural hair journey. I love to see how far your hair and your Channel has come. ❤ Would you ever consider using hair paint wax? Just something fun and temporary

Mama bear J: I definitely feel the same natural hair is so beautiful. You need patience and knowledge, with that you can do soo much, sometimes I feel like I’m the only one in my city who rocks it natural

Vr Man: I love the melanin shampoo and conditioner and the oil mixture. I have the twisting cream also but I don’t use it as much as the other 3 products. I have not done much with rice water but I found tea rinses reduced my shedding and stenghthened my hair so I include it in my routine before I wash

twiix boss: This is so me always complaining about it being so difficult to manage and time consuming. But thank u for the advice I'll be moving and talking different towards my hair...I also cut out all of my straight hair...went back natural from scratch and the rice water is really helping it to grow

Junior Chaves o Picasso de Yahushua: 11:45 Looking beautiful. Your hair looks so amazing. You are always on point. Simply gorgeous!

EBONIQUEEN 3447: When I developed the knots in my strands I trimmed my ends and that helped. However, I just had a birthday on November 3rd, a new chapter in my life and I cut off all of my hair. It’s short. I had similar hair to yours and about the same length. I really love my new hair style it’s very manageable. If I get tired of the short hairstyle I’m not worried because my hair grows like grass. I’ve done it before I just hate the in between lengths. God bless you

Napturalyours: Great tips. Btw, I have not used heat in my hair since December 2018. My hair is definitely healthier due to this.

Velicia Williams: The one thing I don’t like about the rice water . You have to use a hydrating shampoo and conditioner to balance your hair. If you do not you will experience hair breakage. Rice water has its advantages and disadvantages as well. I do agree that no heat will give your hair the appointment to grow and flourish.

Maud Anim: Girl I did the challenge with you and my hair grew to bra level over the 1 year

Dinah Fisher: I noticed that when you don't use heat your hair seems to tangle more. I think straighten out your hair once in a while really detangles your hair to a deeper level.

Tanya X: Congrats on the hair growth! I have the hair that grows regardless of whatever, always have. My hair is thick and long lol when I’m not cutting it. I have micro starter locs now and I’m super excited for this new journey.

Rony Babygirl: You always break it down so it is simple. I use the edge boost too. Good product. Thank you!

pee Jay: I love seeing her hair videos, I wish she could do it more often? I use rice water once every month, and I have been loving it...

Just Ebbs: I love Melanin Hair Care products and I’m so happy she is in Sephora now also. I love her hair oil mixture also.

L Bell: Thx for sharing! Glad your hair is doing so well. I know it's been out a while but can't wait to try the Melanin line. You always look great sis. Love the eye shadow.

Imani Cecelia: Great video! Thank you for the update! Can you try Octocurl and a roller set with larger rollers? You and I have similar hair textures and I would love to see how you achieve those two styles! Thank you and God bless!

Misha Char'Nay: Yes! I definitely agree with stripping back the routine. The 3 hour wash days are so not necessary lol

Marta Soares: Acho seu canal muito bom, poderia ter legenda em português

Sable 711: Thanks for saying natural hair should not be difficult. I think that's just another stereotype. I have so many friends who say that they don't want to go natural because it will be so difficult and so time-consuming. We all know that for years many products were not made for textured hair. Luckily we discovered DIYs. Why would God give us something that's difficult to work with? We were just robbed of the ability to learn how to manage our hair. Having gotten my first relaxer when I was in my twenties and having gone natural about 5 years ago, I just thought it was horrible trying to adjust to caring for my hair. I'm going to have to give up something in my life in order to take care of my hair and then I thought what did you do for 20-something years of your life? Wit I was never late for school or for work and I didn't wear wigs or head wraps for protective styles so somehow it worked back then.

Evita’s Light: Single strand knots for me is a result of my hair needing a trim or pruning the ends.

Jada Ony: I gave up the rice treatments too because it was tedious and the smell. But it did help with the shedding much more than tea rinses.

Queen Karla: Girl! I've been without heat for years and haven't gotten the right type of growth. I'm so frustrated ready to cut it all off! and i get alot of those knots too

Michelle Roberts: Thank you esp for the 'our hair is beautiful, our hair is fabulous part . Young black girls need a to see this. Love it

indria drayton: Coconut milk every wash day does the trick for strengtheninh hair for me because I like to moisturize my hair alot. Lately, I haven't had time to do it as much, both moisturizing my hair and the coconut milk so I have to get into the thick of things again.

Eisha Taylore : So simple of a routine! I wish I could lol.

Virgo's Corner: Thank you for mentioning the hair hook. I've never seen that & I will be purchasing this product. Your hair is so healthy & beautiful as you are . I'm on a journey to get my hair back to bra strap length. I have alopecia now & I'm having to adjust to knowing that my edges probably won't grow back .

Lilian Msigwa: I love your old videos of your natural hair when you hair was shaved at the back! Those styles look so stunning on you!

Michele Jones: You're always on point. Thanks for sharing Queen.

Jaaxy Jackie: Your hair is beautiful, I watched you grow out your hair, you are one of the few that still rocking the length from years ago.

NaturallyNatural: Hi Kim, in regards to suggested hairstyling how about a wet set using rollers, still avoiding heat, allowing to air dry

Oh So Limitless: I'm definitely going to give the rice water a try - love your videos Kim!

Meticulously Meticulous: Looking forward to your updated wash day routine

Life With Dalee: I have been following you since you began your journey and i love it. And that edge booster is the truth.

Tanesha Turner: Melanin will always be my staples as well! Thank you for this video!!

Sierra Mannie: I've always appreciated your minimalist approach. you're such a gem of a follow tbh!!

A. Denise Smith: Looking beautiful...thanks for this update!!!

TheMzny: Ulta had the shampoo on sale and I bought it. I like it but you definitely should pre poo before because it does leave your hair squeaky clean.

Marita Garner: I look forward to my wash days as well it's like spa day for me

Shenequa Dupree: BEAUTIFULLY SAID, THE HAIR IS AMAZING LOVE IT!!1 ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU WEAR IT CURLEY!! I;VE BEEN NATURAL FOR A YEAR NOW, IT'S SOMEWHAT CHALLEMGING HOWEVER LOVE THE CURELY LOOK SO THAT WORKS FOR ME!!! BLESSINGS ALWAYS

TI: Thank you, people think you have to use heat for most styles. Even hairdressers will tell you "you should blowdry it so you won't get tangles, it lasts longer" for styles you want. What's the point of being natural if you have to change the state of your natural hair EACH time before a style? That didn't make sense to me. So, I just did the styles on my own, no heat. When I first wore extensions, I didn't blow dry my hair. I use heat usually every 18-24 months. I trim it in any state, because you can see split ends even when it's naturally kinky coily curly.

Angela Fletcher: Yep the single strand knots is while I stopped wearing wash and go's. Stretching your hair really does cut down on that

QuadraWithLove: I would love to see how you would do one of those puffy, over the shoulder, side braids with the cute edges. I've been liking that style lately and I haven't tried adding hair to my hair before but I'm thinking about it.

nf094e R E N É E: So nice to see you on this nice Thursday.

Le'Asia Mabry: You look flawless!❤️

Joy 58: Thank you baby girl you are amazing. Thank you for sharing this. I'm thinking on going into my hair jounery too...best of luck to you

Beauty Begins Hair: I love how your edges are intact!!!

MsBrooklyn11232: Hey. Thanks for this hair update!

Tee Tee J: You can definitely prep the rice water ahead of time and freeze it. Hopefully this helps.

Danni Bishop: Im low porosity, fine strand medium density: and i started using rice water this year july-august. I use to use it by itself when i first started off. I was using it off and on. Then after i watched a naturalista youtuber she was diluting the rice water. And i started diluting it. When im doing a wash day i'll use the rice water in my hair when im pre pooing i'll wash it out. Then use it again when im deep conditioning in the same day. If im using it as a leave in i'll just spray it in my roots of my hair
