I'm going to prove once and for all that the natural hair community has become such a scam. It's no longer centered on sisterhood and education, but it is really a way for companies, brands, and influencers to push products for financial gain. There's no rules yall! Learn your hair and do what you want!

#naturalhair #washday #type4

Hey y'all, it's sheree: what's up, we gon na get into it. Natural hair is a scam imma just put that out there, natural hair and what has become the natural hair community is a scam, a lot of what we know about our hair. What we think we know about our hair really comes down to marketing. It comes down to companies telling us what we should do to our hair, what we should use on our hair, so this video is to prove ourselves and the community wrong. Today, i will be using products in the wrong way. I have said this before that there is really no wrong way to use products once you know your hair once you know ingredients, i wasn't just saying that i meant it in this video we're going to use products not like they're marketed at all i'll, be using A leave-in as a rinse out a deep conditioner as a cream, because you can so without further ado without any long talking, let's get into it. So these are my quarantine twists from my q, a video. If you haven't seen that video, you can definitely check it out right here. Let'S get into pre-pooing the products i'll be using to pre-poo is the diva curl. I know i know, but i want to use it up. This is a diva curl, be leaving miracle curl plumper. This is to be added on top of a leave-in or a cream to get volume, but i'm gon na use it as a pre-poo because it has water, glycerin and guar gum, which i use in my pre-poos. So that's what we're gon na do. I probably won't have enough in this to also be going in with the brand that we don't talk about on this channel no more. This is their curl souffle. It is full of water and glycerin too. Those two ingredients bring moisture to the hair. This gel souffle is supposed to be a styling gel, but for anyone who has ever used this product, it don't define nothing so pre-poo it is. This is super watery. Okay, my hair was actually locking up in the back, and this is getting through my locs a little bit more because you all know i'm heavy-handed and i want to use it up. This is supposed to be used for wash and gos, but i don't wash it anymore, so this is the best way for me to use it like. I thought i did run out of the diva curl, so we don't have to dip into the shoe moisture. So that's all we gon na do, but you can see so far. This is doing a really good job of hydrating and defining my hair. So we love to see it now, for the souffle smells good, it's literally crazy and glycerine. Oh, this feels good. This feels really good if you have the souffle and obviously it doesn't work for you as a gel, try it as a pre-poo wow right y'all. So i'm done applying my pre-poos using zebra, curl and shea moisture, and my hair honestly feels great. It looks great. It looks nice and hydrated i'm gon na. Let these products sit on my hair for about 10 minutes and then i'm gon na go in with a shampoo. I'M not gon na go in with dawn dish. Detergent, i'm not there yet. So i'm just gon na go in with the shampoo. I'Ve never used this one though it's from the main choice is their detangling hydration shampoo. I will link everything that i'm using down below and, as my rinse out conditioner i'm going to be using the giovanni direct leave-in conditioner. I tried this as a leave-in and i hated it. I have a video on it. You can check it out when i don't like a product as a leave-in. I usually use it as a rinse out. So that's what i'm going to do today so see you in the shower. The first step is to rinse out the pre-poo. I start off in this back right section, your left and i like rinsing out the pre-fu and then going straight in with the shampoo, and i don't need a lot of shampoo. This shampoo goes a long way. It was one of my favorite products in this wash day, one of my favorite products period. It was an instant staple great for detangling great for cleansing all around excellent product after i work this shampoo in, i pin that section up and move on to the next section rinsing out the poo poo, yet again applying the shampoo and working it throughout my hair. After i shampooed all four sections, i rinse out the shampoo in each section making sure to go between the parts and get all the shampoo. Then i go in with my leave-in as my rinse out. This had an interesting texture in the shower it foamed up in a way that it doesn't outside of the shower. I found that to be interesting. It didn't make it any more moisturizing or detangling, but i would say it's definitely better as a rinse out conditioner than it was as a leave-in. It got the job done enough, so i just continued to detangle my hair section by section, after applying it to all four sections, i rinsed out all the sections making sure that i got all the product out. As always, i braided my hair into two sections and then covered my hair with a t-shirt towel for some mongolian amount of time. This is what my hair is looking like. I won't say it's the best rinse out in the world, but my hair still feels soft. So that's good definitely feels better as a rinse out than it did a leave-in. For my deep conditioner, i used two leave-ins. I use the curl days ultra moisture cream with kakui oil, and i use the camille rose. Honey leave-in. The first ingredient in this is honey. It literally could be used as a deep conditioner, and i didn't like this product, so i combine it with ayurvedic herbs. Y'All know i like to do something ayurvedic every wash day. That is why i've gained the health and the length to my hair. So let me show you how i made this many of you know that i am an island girl, so i did have some old avocado and plantain left over around the house. They were going bad and i didn't want to waste them, so i did throw these into the mix as well. I put one whole avocado and one plantain into my nutribullet for two minutes and i blended them up after blending. Of course i had to strain. I used my nut milk bag, as i always do just to get all the bit, so they wouldn't be stuck in my hair. This is what the mixture looks like nicely sifted and smooth. Then i went in with three quarter. Cups of brahmi brahmi is one of my favorite ayurvedic herbs. It'S great for body. It'S great for volume is great for strength and shine. Then i went in with the curl days curl cream. I didn't like it, so i wanted to use it all up. So i used up all eight ounces of it in that mix. Then i went in with the camille rose honey leave-in. I had about two ounces left, so i used that up as well. I wasn't completely satisfied with the mixture and i figured i did not have enough for my hair, so i did go in with a quarter cup of brownie just to add a bit more then i went in with two tablespoons of avocado. One of my favorite oils is great for slip and shine and, of course i had to go in with an essential oil. There'S no charade also recipe without an essential oil, i'm using spearmint and literally that's all i did. I did give it a mix with my mixer just to make it smooth and the end results were nice and smooth and amazing. Now that i've shown you how to make this deliciousness, it is time to apply. So you all know, i'm heavy-handed, i'm just gon na go in and apply this baby and i'll. Let you know what i think once i'm done. So this is what my hair looks like. It feels nice and strong, but it feels soft, i'm really loving how my hair looks and feels it has a lot of strength to it. It has a lot of body. My hair just feels a lot fuller, so two thumbs up for that deep conditioner. I'M doing i'm doing well this. This is going well as i expected, but now we're gon na move on i'll be going in with a rinse out conditioner. As my leave-in, this is the curl junkie, smoothing lotion. I tried it as a rinse out and it was okay, but this is 20 dollars, so definitely better use as a leave-in, i'm gon na go in with that. On top of that, i'm gon na go in with my diy aloe vera oil. If i already have put it up, it's right here, on top of that, i'm going in with my cream, which is actually a deep conditioner. This is the main choice. Do it for the fro deep conditioner? I did not like it as a deep conditioner and in the past i have used a deep conditioner as a cream. A cream is really water, glycerin and oils or butters, and the first five ingredients in this is water oils glycerin. So you literally can use a deep conditioner as a cream. People feel weird about it, but conditioners conditioners: conditioner rinse out can be a leave-in, a leave-in can be a rinse out or deep. Conditioner can be a leave-in. A deep conditioner can be a cream. It is marketing that makes you think this can't work as a deep conditioner. I hated it as a cream, maybe i like it so we'll see and because i don't think this is going to have enough hold. I am going to cheat a little bit and i'm going to go right on top with this. This is also from the main choice. This is their pink lemonade and coconut super antioxidant and texture beautifier moves. So let me just apply this leave-in throughout my hair and then we're gon na get into the interesting part, which is the cream or the deep conditioner. So i'm done applying the leave-in and oil throughout my head. I won't say this is my favorite leave-in, i'm very particular about leave-ins, because that's where the moisture is that's, where you're going to get the hydration for your style. So i wouldn't probably use it as a leave-in again, but it's definitely better as a leave-in than it was a rinse out. So if you have this conditioner or similar conditioner, and you don't like it as a rinse out, try it as leave it now for the deep conditioner and cream. This is what it's looking like. It literally looks like a thick cream. Um doesn't do anything for me as a dc. I'M gon na use that much actually i'm lying. I'M gon na use this much in that entire section. It'S like thick literally like a cream. Oh it's so good got my curls popping. It'S helping to reduce the frizz and for just a little bit more how this feels it makes me want to try it again as a dc, because it instantly added, moisture and oh and definition, marketing, y'all marketing. That looks so good. It did not do that. For me, as a dc now we're gon na go in with the mousse to really get the definition pop in. I went in with five pumps for the this entire section. I'M gon na go in with any more pumps. Yes, i'm heavy-handed, but that's all right split. This section into two we're doing that chunky twist out because i'm lazy, regular smegular two strand twists, i'm not even doing three strands. That'S it literally! That'S it! I'M just going to twist the other section and keep going so i'm done styling my hair, this deep conditioner as a cream. Definitely the wave my hair feels so soft. My twist looks so juicy. I never seen my twists look like this, like it's literally curling from the roots to the ends these twister bombs. If the style looks as good as these twists, i may have done, did something. Okay, my hair looks so good. This is two days later. Y'All took my hair down and these are the results. This is probably one of my best twist outs in a while y'all know. I'Ve had a lot of failed twist outs, but this looks good. There'S definition, there's shine, there's volume, there's body honestly, it's almost perfect. I would say that i still don't really care for this product as a rinse off or as a leave-in. It does work better as a leave-in, but still the moisture is not there for me. For me, the leave-in has to be moisturizing, even if i go in with a moisturizing cream if the leave-in is not moisturizing. For some reason, my low porosity hair just doesn't bang with it, but even so, even though my hair is not as moisturized as i would want it to be, i am totally totally satisfied with what my hair looks like. There are no rules when it comes to natural hair. There is no blueprint. You have to figure out what works best for you. Now, i'm not telling you to go out and buy a deep conditioner specifically to use it as a cream or to buy a cream. Specifically, to use it as a deep conditioner, but when you have products in your stash and they're, not working in the ways that they are marketed to, you use them in different ways. Literally, there is no right or wrong if it does a product. That'S a deep conditioner and it's not working like that with your plastic cap, try using it as a cream. This is all this video was about to allow you to open up your mind to see the potential for you to see the potential in your natural hair. All of what we are told comes down to marketing and honestly you can do what the hell you want. If we be an honest, but that's it that's my video. If you enjoyed this video, definitely let me know if you have products that you use and you ignore the product labels and they work for you that way. Definitely let me know what those products are down below if you are not subscribed, make sure you subscribe. I cannot bring you these gems if you don't subscribe, so thanks in advance for subscribing. I love you guys so much and i'll talk to y'all later peace, bye, y'all,

Valencia S: I will not waste my money on DevaCurl or Shea Moisture. It is clear their products aren’t made for black women and are over priced.

Christina L: I can't be the only one who feels the natural hair community is breaking down. We have too many rules and constraints. Everybody want long healthy hair. All we gotta do is spend time with the hair to understand what the hair needs. Our hair literally talks to us, if we're willing to listen.

Faye In The City: Girl soon as you said DevaCurl, I got stressed out!!!

trianna2008: I NEVER throw any hair product away, no matter how they work on my hair. Bomb leave in? Add some extra oil/honey/aloe vera and use it as a deep conditioner. Drying conditioner? Throw some castile soap and peppermint oil in that ish and get a stimulating shampoo! Even Cantu that had my hair feeling like sun dried hay was repurposed...to a tub cleaner lol! In all honesty, I've spent hundreds on products that did nothing for me, just because someone told me to buy them. Now, unless it's a brand/person I want to support (like Naptural85), I stick to the same 2 products and herbs and stuff from my kitchen and just modify the ratios to fit whatever I need.

Failedpuberty6x: I've done LOC, LCO, just L, just O, just C. I've left deep conditioner in my hair, I've slipped leave-in into a hot oil treatment, I've just washed my hair with water (bc ya girl was can't afford a paper bag broke) and my hair was still gucci. I have tried so hard to identify what "method" my hair likes best but she acts like she's on a street corner, just accepting any and everything that comes her way. So I finally decided to listen to her and stop stressing about not getting my steps right. As long as I love her for who she is, don't try to change her, and take care of her, she is ride or die.

Kayla: I really try not to waste products, for example, if there's a shamppoo I don't like, I use it to wash my hair tools

juliemangotrini: I've been waiting to see which YouTuber was brave and honest enough to address these companies marketing schemes

LOLO 1: Love ya Sis! You’re always keeping it real in the natural hair community! The definition ➿➿

Ebizzill: i still think its a crime for all of these products to be so damn expensive when pantene n'em are suprisingly doing the damn thing for half the cost.

She Crochets ByCoolCraftyCreations: Back when I first went natural (Circa 2006), all of these so called ‘natural’ products weren’t even thought of or on the market, for the exception of DevaCurl Giovanni and Carols Daughter. I only do DIY Ayurvedic products from my put together cabinet. A Deep Conditioner for me was and is a conditioner that you choose to just leave in for maybe .10-.15 extra minutes longer while you clean your house so it can draw some heat from your workout of cleaning up your house, lol. Child, I left the hype of the product band wagons years and years ago.

Shari-Lee Davis: Now i can use my kinky curly leave in as a rinse out cause it just doesnt give me that moisture that everybody talks about you really got me thinking about my other products! Thanks sherea!!

Stephanie Khaguli: My glitch in the matrix moment was when I just didn't rinse out my deep conditioner one time. I'm not heavy handed because low-po,most of it had absorbed after applying heat, and the product had ranted and raved about being natural with great ingredients so I just decided I'm not going to rinse it out. The softness and moisture retention was spectacular

Go Get Me A Coffee: About a month ago I started learning how to take care of my hair. I’ve seen all of the famous people on YouTube with thousands of expensive products. I just use a few things that I’ve been using for years that work for me. I’m glad I saw this video because I was about to become a product junkie and waste my money on a bunch of crap that does the same exact thing as the products I already have!

Joy Banks: That's thinking outside of the box! Repurpose failed products. You are one smart woman!

Truthers Protecting Truth: You have to be careful advising not to follow directions on the label. I watched a video from 22nd Century Woman and she stated to use products as stated on the label. For example if the label states to leave in and rinse out after 15 minutes, you should do so. You don't know what those chemicals are doing to your hair if you leave in until your next hair wash. I became natural to use less chemicals. I believe mixing all of these products/ chemicals will not benefit anyone in the long run. Just like the perms and color did not benefit me after decades of use. 22 Century Woman is older than you and the length of hair proves she has learned from experience. My hair is fine and thin and I know from experience that these companies almost never test in their labs, combining their products with other competitor products.

Georgiana Morgan: Yes! I’ve been trying to tell ppl! I’m a recovering product junkie. It took me a little over 2 years to downsize to the minimum of what my hair needs even with gifting 1/2 my collection away to friends/family. I don’t buy rinse out conditioners anymore and I’m not as concerned about store bought shampoos anymore either. “Moisturizing” shampoos and rinse out conditioners were out here clarifying and drying out my hair and i had no idea bc I trusted the marketing. My hair is so much happier now that I‘m more informed about ingredients and that I’ve eliminated some “traditional” products and “must haves”. Spread the word!

Lady D: I SO appreciate having you here, SheRea. Thank you for your common-sense perspective!

Zandraj: Fantastic job! Your hair is gorgeous but I need something much simpler. I'm old and by the time I finish mixing all those products I can't do anything else but take a nap. But thank you for an enjoyable tutorial.

Pagecat: I find this to be mostly true! There is an exception with deep conditioners though. Some ingredients like certain alcohols or proteins shouldn't be left in the hair for a long period of time. But you are right, leave-ins, light conditioners, and curl creams can be used interchangeably.

Gayle Friend: The products you chose worked really well for you hair, and I too think it's one of your best twistouts. I love gels and gellies to help detangle my hair. I've used both Camille Rose's gels to help as pre-poos. I almost picked up that Mane Choice shampoo the other day. I heard that Do It Fro the Culture deep conditioner was really good too, because you can feel the oils in it. I actually used Eden Bodyworks Coconut Shea masque as my cream last week for some finger coils - turned out bomb. Great minds think alike lol.

Daisy Flower: I have used deep conditioners as leave ins and creams in the past. I'm even planning on trying it again. I was shook at how good your hair came out

Jonelle Alexis: Thank you for every heavy-handed disclaimer, my low porosity hair needs more than a few dabs on the fingertips!

Cara Downey: Thanks for posting this video... I've watched a lot of youtubers channels, purchased products from different brands etc etc etc and when I first went natural it was all about education for me and finding products that work. I got sucked in the trends and the do's and don'ts of natural hair. My hair wasn't doing what I knew it could and I experienced breakage in the beginning... I said enough and I've been doing what works best for me and my hair is thriving and I'm loving it. This video is so true... this is why I love your channel. You keep it 100 at all times and you never compromise yourself for a brand... you're the best! Keep it coming sis :-)

Kishonda Perkins: This is so true! I use rinse out conditions as my leave in and my hair always be super soft! Another different but great video!

RajaMonae: You just have to read the ingredients, some products such as deep conditioners have ingredients that if left on your scalp can cause irritation and scalp dryness. Also the pH balance of your hair is important, certain products that are made to rinse out may have ingredients such as ACV, which can affect your hair pH balance. But I agree, many products that can used in different ways, great video!

K L: Yup, I use to subscribe to the this big YouTuber. After that whole Mielle organics mess, she went and gave a review about the mielle rice water products. Saying it was amazing Thats the moment I realised she sold out and couldn’t trust the community as much

Call Me Swivel Hips: This gives a really interesting psychological profile on the product junkie I wash my hair with nothing but water. I make it work by clarifying my hair after the shower with distilled water. Oh, and technique is really key to it on top of that.

blkbry 1972: Hey girl , you need to do another video repurposing your products in your stash, this was fun to watch! I use the Eden Bodyworks hibiscus and honey custard mixed with oil as a prepoo.

Twist N Shout: You Just helped me a whole lot. I literally had a bag of stuff determined to throw them away because they didn’t do what they were intended Let the pre-pooing begin

Denise.Adore: Your DIY’s always look amazing and I can absolutely tell how beneficial it’s been for your hair I’m taking notes from each video. Thanks for another great video

Isolda: Nicely done, young lady! Thanks for your hard, detailed work. And yes, I believe in getting my money's worth, too!

Pat B: Great video, honestly. When you look at the ingredients for deep conditioners, leave in, masks and rinse outs, it's all the same main ingredients. Namely water, glycerin, cetyral alcohol, etc. Don't be fooled guys!

Raa E: Interesting topic: I do everything wrong all the time because the "standard(s)" have never worked for my hair. My best wash and style days have been doing something wrong on accident (or on purpose), like cocktailing based on what my hair needs. Love the Mane Choice!

NeeNee Brown: This is why you are THE QUEEN of Natural Hair (in my opinion) I will ALWAYS spend money or make DIYs you make because EVERYTHING you say, I can honestly say I’ve tried and have seen my hair changing and evolving since subscribing to your channel. I’ve been wanting the see what (I hope I don’t screw the name up lol) the Doux product line is all about but I haven’t seen you review it so i haven’t gone near it yet. But yea, some natural hair videos are OVERLY edited and I’m just like what DONT you want us to see? And that’s not me bashing anyone because I understand people have bills and need their coins, plus it’s hard to get in front of a camera and do videos. Anywho, this comment is too long. Lol, much love to you Queen

Shantell Hall: Love it! So true once you know your hair and ingredients. Such a great way to use up products i don't want to trash. Thank you! Beautiful hair!

Remika Williams: Your freakin hair looks amazing Expose these marketing schemes!!!! I appreciate all you do

Apara: You can use shampoo as hand soap/shower gel, conditioner as shaving cream, combine the oils with lotion and use for body. Yup, don't throw away those products that didn't work for your hair .

Mia .Hardeen: I absolutely love your content- really eye opening video- keep up the good work- genuinely quality content

Jenita Moore: Love the video. Trying to use my stash I accidentally used a Carol's Daughter Coco Creme DC as a hair butter because the packaging look similar to their moisture butter. It actually worked better than the butter. so thanks for making me feel better about not always using product's for their intended use

sillykitten202: I stopped watching a lot of natural hair youtubers and felt really sad about my hair journey once this whole shift in youtube started. It's so annoying to never know what a person actually uses or likes because every video is a sponsored video of them sponsoring a brand. I feel like its even worse in the looser curl world (because of colorism they get more sponsors). I hope one day this all shifts :/

Charvys Hair: Gurrl, you had me screaming about the brand you no longer mention! I thought I was the only one who felt the souffle was totally overrated. Nothing I did made it work for me either.

Jacinta Wilson: Thank you so much for this video! I truly appreciate what you said and I have quite a few products that I'm going to use differently!

Tiffany Danielle: I quit listening to the natural hair community 4 years ago after my good friend assumed the products would change her hair texture until I explained GENEs!!!!! Besides, I’ve seen better results doing the opposite of what the over marketed natural hair community recommends !

Melly Boo: Liked before watching as always. Great video sis, love that you are keeping it real

Andrea Alexander: Just when I thought the content couldn't get any better than what it already is, SheRea just comes out, shows up and shows out. This is dope!

Moti: I've learnt people change their mind about a lot of things, so I'd like to see your hair's progress in a year with a re-review on your thoughts about this idea as well...I find it interesting. Thank you!

D.V. Perez: I needed to hear this! Thank you Goddess!✝️❤️ Excellent points regarding marketing!

Healy Means: You are truly the QUEEN of no lies ive been doing this since middle school ... and it works! rinse-out condish as leave-in and deep condish as styler... yep yep tfs

A. Barrie: i love your videos so much and i'm so glad i'm subscribed! i never get tired of your honesty and genuinely helpful hair tips

Love4MyPeoples: Thank you so much for this video! I'll be using my *Garnier Fructis Leave-in* as a rinse out on my next wash day! So glad I found your channel

Nicole Kirksey: I’ve been natural since 2009 . I’ve used a lot of product. I found out the ABSOLUTE BEST products were the ones I made myself!!! ✨

krys: Thank you for showing us there are no limits! I must try that deep conditioner you made. You look so beautiful, I absolutely adore how your hair came out, lots of love to you dear!

P Lee: Your hair looks amazing! The definition and volume is everything. I loved this video.

splashofcolor: Girl.... your a genius! Now I know how to get rid of those products I don’t use and more. Much love and appreciation ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Shenice Dells: Yow!! I've been doing this since I started properly taking care of my hair. And my friends thought I was crazy..you're speaking facts! It's marketing

Gold-In-MELANIN💛: The natural hair community is not a skin in its entirety! Just always going to be a few wolves in sheep's clothing but at the same time people have to stop looking for a Magic Bullets to solve their problems and accept the fact that they're going to have to take things for me holistic approach! There is more than one factor that comes into play with regards to healthy hair.

Qubilah Huddleston: Welp I’m too late to the party because I just tossed out two products after being upset at how dry they had my hair

A D: I have been using Rinse outs & Deep conditioner as my curl stylers for years. Works better than any cream styler I ever tried. Plus I like to double up uses for products. I dont have the space for 10 different products in my bathroom.

Silent Night: The vast majority of people get paid to promote products in hair care and other videos.

Leah McLean Tewari: SheRea! This is a GENIUS idea! I have some Mielle custard and gel that I want to get rid of and I’ll use them as a pre-poo as well! Thanks for the great ideas! ❤️

Bromista Davis: I've used the Melanin styling cream as a heat protectant for my blowout last year and it was bomb . And I've used Camillr Rose Naturals Bacuri Styling Foam as a styler for a twistout and I got MAJOR definition.

TBella26: A great way to use up the stash!! Loved this video sis!!❤☺

Iam Myancestors: The Mane Choice Do It for the Fro DC was a fail for me too on my low porosity hair. Also the Do It for the Fro shampoo and conditioner was a fail but the Leave In is my staple and I have bought it four times, loading up when the Mane Choice has a sale and cutting the plastic container open to get it all out at $17 a whoop! Will try the DC as a cream styler. Thanks for the recommendation on the Nut Bag too.

Victoria Mitchell: I really enjoyed this video. Although I can't do this now bc I'm nursing my hair from a setback, I have wondered about this very thing! But I was always too nervous to try it out LOL. Once I feel my hair is better again I'll give it a shot. Also, why we not mentioning SM any more...what I miss?! I know about the other one but guess I misses this.

For God's Glory: I'm subscribing because this had me cracking up. This is exactly what I do with my products.

Jacky Wairegi: I also just mix up things when I want them gone but also don't want to throw my money in the bin

Adele Brown: When I big chopped for the 2nd time last year, my curly hair was super short & I used CURLS Control Paste as my only styler. Just a $1 conditioner as my leave in and edge control as my styler. Easy.

TeachingWithClass: Just by reading the title of this video I didn’t even watch the vlog...I do not totally agree with you....15 years or longer ..we used crack cream perms and still use straight hair wigs... I think the natural hair community did wonders for women of color...for example low self esteem has risen... when the natural hair community showed how our curls popped and it was cute..most if not all embraced the curls ...even though we still have challenges..but most still embraced our natural hair and still do years passed..I think you should change the title of this video to fit your point...it makes me think of click bate or trying to get brownie points or you just didn’t know how to title this...I do agree that some influencers are lying to get that paper..but we have to do what’s best for us...and do research.. I do enjoy some of your videos...but girl this title didn’t fit your point...be safe

Meraki 9: Hey...absolutely loved this video just goes to show that there's no specific way to use products ... your results are beautiful this is my favorite twist i have seen you do as well keep the good content coming i really enjoy your channel

Christina L: Also we need to let go of the notion of "natural hair products". These hair companies are laughing all the way to the bank. HAIR IS HAIR. Read the product ingredients and see if your hair will like it.

Patricia Garcia: I loved this video and how you know so much about the product ingredients. And how you didn't just throw money away but tried the products a different way. I think your personality and that island accent is incredible.

LoLo Tho: Thank you for this video and your insightful wisdom!

eveningbreeze: You used my fave shampoo With those suds I might try the Giovanni as a cowash. I don't care for it as a Leave-in. Nice way to use up products. You've inspired me to rethink prepooing options.

Sheedavision: Lol it’s true! You can use products for whatever you want. 5 years ago when I was a senior in college, I used Shea moisture superfruit complex deep conditioner as a styler and that was one of the best twist outs I’ve had ever. Lmao

Insecurely Natural: You are so creative and innovative! I never thought to use a DC as a cream but it makes sense! Plus your hair looks so soft. I love a fluffy fro ❤️

LeadingTheCheer: haha nice title, got me with that one! but you're right! The natural hair industry makes you believe that its all about products. You want to know what really changed my hair? A good trim and apple cider vinegar. I am going to wash my hair later and i think i'm going to add a little bit of dc as a cream :)

Karen Goddard: Yes!!Thank you!! The companies may not lol but i do. Some of the mishaps coming out ok after no glasses in the shower make sense now. You did it again‍♀️

Seer Channah: You’re so right. I hate both companies. Both of the ingredients break my skin out in hives.

Channygirl Chantel G: You have definitely influenced how I approach products. I have stuff that doesn’t work as it’s marketed and I’ve started using that stuff as prepoo’s. And you gave me courage to make my own DC. Last week I made my own with NO added purchased products and my hair was wonderful!! And it’s more cost effective. Now I’ll use my store bought DC’s when I don’t have time to mix up my own. You’ve changed how I approach my hair and hair care and after 10 years natural I finally feel confident and trust myself to know what works for me! I’m actually using less product as well because steaming adds so much moisture I don’t have to layer a whole bunch of products anymore. Thank you!

Jennifer White: I love your videos just because you always keep it all the way 100

Tea Art: Sometimes when I ran out of leave in conditioner, I just leave the regular conditioner in my hair. I’m not get ready to go to the store for some leave in conditioner.

dw04: I'm a fairly new sub and I'm so excited about this video I have been natural for hell I dont even know how long and I still havent figured my hair out yet lol..I gave up after a while because it became overwhelming...but my hair is extremely dry but any who I never thought about using products in different ways instead of what they say its for..and as far as any diys I have tried welp they have been a fail I havent tried any of urs yet tho..I'm still watching ur videos cuz I'm only subscribed to 2 of yall so when I wana find out about something I check with 1 or the other to see what's up THANXS I will try this out

Amber: Chilee I locd my hair because it took too much time and effort. Also there weren’t many 4c youtubers back then so I had to figure everything out on my own. I realized after 5 years that it wasn’t for me. Your hair looks beautiful tho ❤️

Juliana Outen: I love the idea behind this video. I have a leave-in that my hair didn't love so I'm going use it to make a mask with some amla, brahmi, and bhringraj.

MRS. W.O.: I agree. I waste nothing. I often re-purpose my product to suit my needs. Great topic.

Tucsha: I love this video! I love using rise outs as leave ins!!

Ty Naomi: I wish you could’ve heard the *record scratch* that played in my head when you mentioned Deva Curl

TVGLAMM: Great INFORMATION as ALWAYS.... Thank you

Curly Cutie: I have some coconut curling cream from Cantu that seems to dry my hair more than it moisturizes it. I’ll try using it as a wash out conditioner. Hopefully it works better that way. I hate wasting products/money. Thanks for the video.

Ms wise Senior: Your hair came out beautiful... thanks for all the tips!

n patrice: Lady, I love this video! In my opinion, the only thing you can't get around is the shelf life/expiration date. Everything else is fair game. Blessings! ❤

Dana Fisher: I am so glad I started my journey before YouTube is what it is now so I didn’t rely on anyone I didn’t know to tell me anything. I had to do research and read different sites to put information together. Like I said before NO ONE has hair that looks like mine, I watch to get techniques and mostly for DIY at this point.... hence why I kick it tuff wit you sis

Leslie Witherspoon: I know there's a big issue with Shea Moisture, but the Manuka Honey and Mafura oil line kill it for my hair. So much so that now I use Manuka Honey and Mafura oil in my own DIY products and only use that line of shampoo. I never really understood the puddings or styling creams. I always just added gel to the leave in creams to set braids, twists, and curling or flexi-rods. I feel like a lot of products are a waste of money and you can make the same stuff at home that is cheaper and better quality.

ShyAnn Smith: Beauty and brains!!! Sis u don't fail us. Love the video

Elizabeth Johnson: The mane choice Easy on the curls detangling hydration shampoo is so good! I bought it when Alove4me mention it on her channel. It is a stable! Your hair is flourishing for sure!!!!! Great video!

Teisha Hickman: Well, stylist who aren't "Natural Hair" stylists also say you shouldn't leave conditioners that aren't designed to be leave ins on your hair. Why? Because they're made with stuff that shouldn't just sit on your hair. Of course you can do it...But that doesn't mean you should do it.

Val's Tasty Sensation [ Mukbang / ASMR ]: I've never used any of those products you shown they've always been too expensive for me I started out well TRESemme olive oil and Eco Styler gel and that's all I use for years then I started buying VO5 from the Dollar Tree as a conditioner instead of Tresemme when they change the formula it doesn't take a lot of money to do your hair if your natural 3 products is all you need. You can get all three products from the Dollar Tree they have olive oil gel and conditioner. the cheapest the better, that's what I found that works for me when my daughter start making products I start using hers love the video, love your Insight, keep the good work up

Elma Reynolds-Newsome: You are awesome! know the truth and it will set you free...THANK YOU

S 22: Your hair said yes bish!!! Love you girl! Stay excellent!

Marla Morris: Island woman!!! I'm not much a rule breaker. But when I use a powder heavy ayurvedic treatment, I use a silicone free conditioner to help rinse out the powders. With that being said, I use my Emerge BFF leave-in conditioner for this very task. Pretty Witty put me on to using disappointing shampoos as hand soap. I add a touch of glycerin and a bit of oil. Pressed for Curls hipped me to using Maui Moisture Heal and Hydrate Deep Conditioner as a leave-in. I believe it says you can do so on the packaging, but I didn't know it had a secondary use until I watched her YT post. You've inspired me to try the Mane Choice Ancient Egyptian DC as a styling cream. I wasn't wowed by it as a DC and it just looks so lonely sitting on my stash MC shelf. It's getting used. . .soon. . . #useyourstash. Shout out to Tresses of Alexis.
