A WORD ABOUT PROTEIN SENSITIVITY: If you're protein sensitive, please remember to test a small hidden patch first before committing to the entire head. It's not a one-size-fits-all solution, so please use caution as every woman reacts to various ingredients differently. Bananas and coconut milk contain a small amount of protein. However, some protein sensitive women love using bananas and/or coconut milk to condition. Some, do not and cannot handle ANY amount of protein. So please test a small amount to figure out where you stand. This mixture is not "Protein-Free" but is geared towards those who have "Protein-Sensitivities" based on ingredients that have been recorded to work well.

My new favorite DIY homemade deep conditioner for protein sensitive natural hair! I made it specifically for my viewers with protein sensitivity, but it works amazingly even if you're not protein sensitive! My dry natural hair was extremely moisturized and shiny after just one application! Definitely give it a try! Whether you're natural, relaxed, have a protein sensitivity or not, you're sure to love this mixture! I hope it helps!

How To: DIY Avocado Banana Hair Mask Solution For Dry Curly Hair http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Be8kWFI...

How to Co Wash for Shiny Strong Moisturized Natural Hair http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iL4gbp9...

Whatup guys washed a well Co wash day, it's time to Remo stur eyes, my dry crust, tastic hair, but instead of using one of my usual homemade recipes, I wanted to make something new that my protein sensitive girls might be able to use too. So I'm gon na do this little dance for you and we'll get on to making this amazing conditioner. Oh and this recipe is actually my new favorite. So even if you're not protein sensitive, I think you should definitely give it a try all right. Well enough of the weirdness, let's get on to the recipe. So weird, sometimes I swear alright, so you're gon na need one banana bananas are really great for reducing frizz and increasing the moisture content of your hair so toss that into the blender next we're grabbing aloe vera juice. Aloe vera restores strength to your hair, soothing, the scalp conditioning and promotes shine and reduces frizz, so add one cup of aloe vera juice to the blender and then of course, mix it all together. Try to use a setting on your blender, that's gon na make it the smoothest all right using the same technique. I showed in my avocado and banana video grab a strainer with tiny holes and then pour the mixture into the strainer. Just let the liquid pass through. Naturally, leaving the banana pulp in the strainer, this is so important if you skip this step, you're gon na get banana bit stuck in your curls, and that is not a good time. Okay, so we're using half a can of whole coconut milk. This fatty substance is going to nourish and moisturize the hair, as well as strengthen so add a half a can to the bowl. Next we're using olive oil, olive oil, softened and moisturizes dry hair promotes shine and reduces frizz. I add about 1/4 cup of olive oil to the bowl. Now this is optional, but I'm adding Argan and rosehip oils Argan and rose hip. Oils are really great for restoring moisture and shine to dry, brittle hair they're, also really great for reducing dandruff. Now you can add one of these oils, you can add both or you can even add nuttin totally getting rid of it all together. I'M going to add 6 drops of rose hip oil and 6 drops of argan oil, so just grab a fork and whisk it all together. This is the perfect amount for my length and thickness of hair, of course, make more or less depending on your own hair and the stuff smells so good. Like a pina colada with bananas, I was really tempted to drink it, okay, so time to apply it. I'M just going to apply it like normal sectioning out my hair and painting the conditioner thoroughly into each section, and I apply it from scalp to ends. Don'T forget the ends now disclaimer time many women who are protein sensitive, love, bananas, but some don't many protein sensitive women, love, coconut milk, but again, there's still some who don't so please if your protein sensitive test, this mixture on a small hidden section before applying it To your entire head, protein sensitivity is a very delicate thing and unfortunately it's not one size fits all. Every woman is unique, but I tried keeping the protein content to a minimum, so make sure you test it before you commit when you've coated all your hair cover. Your entire head with plastic conditioning caps and leave them on for at least half an hour after half an hour just rinse out the conditioner. Using the same method, I used in my updated co-washing video the next morning, you're going to experience extremely moist and conditioned hair. My hair was so soft and shiny. This truly has become my absolute favorite conditioning recipe to this date, definitely give it a try whether your protein, sensitive or not you'll love this mix. So I hope this helps guys I'll see you in the next one. So I definitely did the unthinkable and dropped my iPhone into a pot of water. The other day yeah check out how I managed to save it and what apps I'm currently loving over on my style channel, and you know where to find us for our everyday vlogs. Click the link to the right to come, hang out with me in my home I'll see you guys there

K L Brewington: Whitney gurl, you have been my savior! I started to grow out my relaxer in 2011. In 2012 I was diagnosed with breast cancer and by Feb 2013 I was completely bald. I now have a head full of natural curly hair. Not sure of the type but it's tightly coiled, soft and thick when it's not stretched out. I started watching your tutorials about two months ago. Your hair was/is extremely long. I recently stumbled upon your BC videos and was completely amazed at how long your hair is today from your BC a few years ago. My length is about chin length when it's in its curly stage. I am following your videos from that stage and you have given me so many wonderful ideas.   Thanks Sistah Gurl!!!! BTW you have a beautiful family. I loved the Pats gear!! Yes, I am from Boston too!!! Keep up the great work girl!!  God Bless Keitha B.

Ezella Collins: My review on this treatment: I did it exactly as described and it loosened my curls and defined them. The one thing that shocked me was how smooth my ends were!! I did my big chop a month ago and my ends were super frizzy, dry to the touch and even felt hard and different from the rest of my hair. The next day when my hair dried...my ends are no longer feeling that way!!! OMG Will be using this again and again and again! Thank You!

Life By Olivia: Okay so I just tried this and my hair loved it! Mine was a super runny because the coconut milk was really runny, no solids. I used the olive oil and a capful of glycerine since I didn't have the other oils she used and my hair is so soft and moist! This will definitely be my go-to deep conditioner!

Ajanae Dawkins: SOOOO excited to try this! Your wash and detangling routine along with protective styling has helped me grow my hair to almost armpit length in a year after years of my hair staying at the same length. THANK YOU <3

lady__lithium: I seriously tweaked this recipe using treseme naturals conditioner as a base, half of an avocado (I am allergic to bananas) half a can of low fat coconut milk (bought at the 99cent store), honey, grapeseed and rosemary oil. Let me tell you, my hair hasn't felt so soft and shiny in ages. Thank goodness for Whitney @***** for coming up with this recipe because it works some insane magic in the hair of this protein sensitive natural. Would have never thought to try this recipe or tweak it if not for ms Whitney.

Ceelyn: I made this last night and used it on a section of my hair (I'm unbraid, deep conditioning, then rebraiding my hair quarter sections at a time) and this stuff is literally amaziiiiinng! This morning my hair had NO tangles, it was soft and smelled delicious! I have never gotten those results from store bought deep conditioners!

Jourdan George: Hey! I love watching your hair videos. I'm glad you made this video in particular. It offers an explanation to why my hair got super brittle and damaged after using the DIY Mayo mix. I've been trying to restore my hair to it's original state ever since. I have three different textures of hair. The very back closest to my neck is soft with loose curls, the middle is more course and brittle, the top is a mixture of the two. My hair now is about shoulder length but it doesn't have the same texture and behavior. Should I cut it off and start over? Or can it be restored?

Angélique Marie: I did this treatment yesterday and my hair feels amazing today! So soft and moisturized--even after I blow dried. I hate bananas so I gagged while putting it in my hair, but this is definitely a keeper. Thanks!

Samantha Harper -Truth Be Told: I have been following you for a little while now and I must say I love the fact that you use natural products for hair care. The hair whip was the best thing I could have used for my hair. I have been looking for a DIY leave in conditioner and you have it. My hair has really grown since my MAJOR CHOP in December. I cut it to 1/4 inch, since then it has grown to 3 1/4 inches. I think is it growning slow (but that's me) but I am in love with my hair.

Bella Fuller: What I truly enjoy about your videos is that hair type never comes to mind when I'm watching your videos. Your videos always make me incredibly determined & believe that I really can get my hair to be as healthy & beautiful as yours (even though I totally love my kinks). According to the Hair Typing Chart, I'm 4C & it's a popular belief that my hair isn't as pretty or will never reach the length your hair has. But I just shake out my hair & continue. Why? Because of natural hair leaders like you. Thanks for continuously restoring my hope~<3

Thearla Kozy: I needed to do a deep condition before installing braids and was concerned about how hard my hair gets after a protein treatment.  So I tried this recipe.  This conditioner was amazing!  I didn't have coconut milk, so I used coconut cream.  It worked beautifully.  Thank you so much for sharing!

lady__lithium: Btw this is also an AMAZING conditioner for the winter and for super dry hair. I love it so much I can't stop talking about it. If you don't have a blender just whisk the mixture REALLY well for about 10 minutes. :)

Gratitude Griot: 5 years later + your recipe still holds up! Just tried it for the first time + my hair is super soft!!

Monique-Chicago: I love the way you explain the benefits of each ingredient and how you take us through the process step by step❤

Karen Daley: Hi Naptural85, I absolutely love your videos and thank you for all the helpful tips and hairstyle ideas.  This is my first time writing to you.  I am protein sensitive and would will be trying this recipe.  My question is, should my hair be washed before applying, or do I just apply to dry hair as you did in this video and after washing out the product, do i add the shea butter and then braid up?  Thank you for any help/advice you can offer.  K

long yarn: Just wanted to let you know I just tried this, and Wow! I added one scoop of fenugreek and slippery elm bark powder and left it in for 30 minutes with a hot (Well, pretty warm not Hot!) cap. It really made my hair super soft! I'm going to share the rest with my family and some elderly neighbors. Thank you so much!

Cee Boyd: Hello Whitney I just love your channel. I've been watching you since I started my hair journey. I had to come tell you that I tried this mixture and my hair loved it. The only problem I had is I made way too much, but that's fine I just found an old jar and put it in the fridge for later. This homemade conditioner is the best by far (for my hair) and the smell OMG. The moisture last for about 4 days before I had to re-moisturize my hair. Thank you Whitney. Keep the videos coming. They are so helpful.

eg038889: I tried this homemade conditioner and my hair felt and looked so freaking soft. It was also the first time, in a long time, that my hair was actually flat and smooth, thus giving it that beautiful shine!! This will definitely be a staple for my 4 b/c hair. I tried the egg, mayo, honey concoction you posted years ago and had a bad experience with my hair coming out easily. Thank you so much for sharing!! Now, what to do with this leftover coconut milk...

guapaguapo: So happy to hear about someone addressing "protein sensitivity." Although I am not certain if I have a protein sensitivity & will have to test a small area of hair to determine if I do, has anyone ever heard of an "oil sensitivity"? After using oils, I definitely experience the same negative characteristics (i.e. straw hair, dry stringy strands that feel like they have been stripped & broken to one dry strand that is experiencing breakage, & overall, hair that starts thinning & shedding) that Naptural85 mentions when describing "protein sensitivity." I experience these negative characteristics when I do a hot oil treatment with my hair using extra virgin olive oil, definitely when I use almond oil, and/or with avocado oil, coconut oil & macadamia nut oil used in a mixture. Even when I use all of these oils mixed with Shea butter to make a concoction similar to Naptural85's Shea butter mix, I definitely experience those negative characteristics two days after I take out braids or twists outs after using the oils mixed with Shea butter. With all this said, Naptural85 do you think I have an "oil sensitivity"? I would also love to hear anyone else's comments of feedback as well regarding an "oil sensitivity" & if it exists or if I am experiencing some other kind of problem. Thank you Naptural85 (aka Whitney :) for all the wonderful, helpful, informative videos. Always a pleasure to see your beautiful family & that gorgeous little baby girl as well. Keep 'em coming! :)

esimm: My hair was breaking, dry, and unmanageable! Since, I've been following your videos my hair is strong, moisturized, and manageable. I would like to thank you for the hidden gem to healthy hair!

Damikwa2010: I absolutely love your videos! They saved me from going back to a relaxer! I was so defeated and tired of trying to manage my hair as it got longer. I have been natural a year now and I would like to thank you so much for your helpful videos!

Precious Lafleur: Thanks sooooooo much this conditioner is awesome!!!! I tried it last Sunday for myself and my daughters for our co wash and the results were a-m-a-z-i-n-g. I applied it as a co wash, and because it's for 3 of us I used 3 bananas, 2 cups of Aloe Vera Juice, and a full can of Coconut milk. As far as oils go I used Castor oil Argan Oil( my new go to oil. My hair looooves it), Olive Oil, Tea Tree Oil, and honey. I also used your co washing method. I have been protein sensitive all my life. I have used every protein conditioner known to man. I even used your yogurt conditioner and they all left my hair feeling the same way extremely stiff and dense. I eat slot of protein, but still have problems with breakage. Hopefully this will help a lot. I cannot thank you enough!!!

London LiketheBridge: Your hair results are always flawless! You make it look so easy! Love your vids :)

Monica Jackson: Thanks for allowing my natural hair journey not to be so scary. Love your videos and awesome tips.  After fifty two years, I can say "I love being natural!!!"

Cddl: Hi Whitney...thank you so much for this video and all of the rest !  I am transitioning...8 months post-relaxer.  Woo Hoo !!  I am so glad that I found your channel.  Even though it seems that you have a different texture hair than what I'm seeing right now in my own hair, I find that a lot of the tips you post work for me as well.  I tried a version of your banana mask (I say version because I have not found the Aloe Vera Juice yet and I bought the wrong coconut milk ! lol) I just used water and the coconut milk I had and I cannot believe the difference in my hair !!!  I used your Co-wash technique afterwards and the shedding was markedly minimized !  I will definitely be doing this again !!!!  Keep up the great work !!

Kyla Pratt: Ladies please don't skip blending the banana before applying it to your hair please don't just mash it up. I speak from experience of having banana bits in my hair and having to blow it out!!!!!!

tatomkili: Is anyone wondering how she doesn't have a million subbies yet?! Lol. She deserves it. So knowledgable and helpful!

Monica -Thompson- Alston: I love, love, LOVE your how to vids on making your own hair products! Thanks for this one, going to try it tomorrow! I am not sure if I am protein sensitive, but I have horribly itchy, flaky scalp issues. I am desperate for anything to work, that isn't going to break my bank! I love your shea butter and oil recipes, those are my go to for moist, well-defined, frizz-free curls.

Bernadette Vines: Love, love, love this conditioner!!! Two weeks ago I made this conditioner I left it on for probably 3 hours as I cleaned, cooked and loafed around the house with my head wrap in a towel to hold the heat in.  When I took the plastic cap off I LOVED how soft, and surprising tangle free, my hair felt. The smell of bananas was AMAZINGLY YUMMY. Since it was optional I just rinsed, I did not was the conditioner out. This past weekend I left the conditioner in for maybe 1 hour and this time I washed it out.  I was not as happy with the end results.  So, I already have a banana browning and I hope to find a nice ripe avocado today so I can repeat this weekend, leaving the conditioner in as I did the first week. Thank you for so much for advise given freely. Blessings to you and yours.

thatprincessg: your hair is just so perfect!! like i saw some videos of your hair when it was shorter and i would of never known that it would turn out like this not saying it was bad in the begging just saying that with time you can get AMAZING results like this! im starting my natural hair journey for the second time and i hope this time i can do it! i feel like this time around I'm more committed ^.^

Naptural85: Hey Guys!! You'll know you're protein sensitive if your hair feels dry, brittle, or is broken after applying a protein-rich product or deep conditioner! For example, my DIY Mayo and Greek Yogurt DCs are SUPER protein-rich. My hair likes that and feels stronger and healthier after application. Someone with a protein sensitivity is going to feel the opposite: lots of damage, dull strands, straw-like texture, etc... If you haven't experienced this already and you've used a protein-rich product, it's likely you don't have a protein sensitivity! XoXo! <3

Elizabeth Tittlemouse: Hi Whitney, I am not protein sensitive but I love your protein sensitive conditioning recipe! I also spritz my hair with water before bed and in the morning; it has worked wonders. I was wondering about using coconut water to spritz my hair for a little extra moisture and nutrients...or would it not be advisable to leave coconut water in the hair?

Olimpia J.: You and one other YouTuber have definitely inspired both me and my mom to aim for healthier hair! Thank you! WE are excited for our journey.

LunarSagittarius: omg so happy! I just finished using this. It smells sooooo good. I was so tired of smelling mayo and nasty raw eggs, the greek yogurt was a bit better smelling, but still not pleasant. This smells like a yummy fruity drink and it's super hydrating to my thick combo 4b/4c hair. My curls are just bouncing all around. I also replaced the olive oil with red palm oil, Super Hydrating. But be careful with red palm oil though, it stains clothes lightly.

SweetSantifer: YES! My hair gets so stiff w/ too much protein so thank you very much for this. I use some of your other recipes & I love them! I know this will be great :)

Lauren Rhodes: I've always wondered my hair felt like straw after using those expensive protein treatments!! I didn't even know protein sensitivity was a thing until now! Thank you so much for this. Your videos are amazing and your hair is absolutely gorgeous <3

Jasmine Sorensen: This is perfect for my “off” weeks from protein. I’m obsessed!!!!

Heidi Embrey: I have very protein sensitive, high porosity hair, and I can attest to the fact that my hair loves your ingredients here. Banana, vinegar, aloe, coconut milk..my hair absolutely loves all of those. Good job!

kitten007ccts: Hi Nap! I have braids in now but as soon as they come out I'm definately trying this out on my hair. I'm not protein sensitive but this looks super easy and I loved the shine you got from it. Question: Do you know if it is possible to freeze it and keep it for later if you make too much of it? Thanks for existing! I always enjoy your videos and you're such a great help to naturals everywhere! ♡♡♡

Cheyanne S.: I tried this yesterday! My hair was all lovely and shiny this morning! It's definitely worth a shot :) x

MsCoCo8799: I can't wait to give this one a try! I'm already in love with the mayo deep conditioner, as well as the Greek yogurt the deep conditioner. Since my hair is very similar to yours I know I'll be in love with this one as well. :-)

MojoSojoJojo: Wow thank you so much for this! It worked great for my hair, which I didn't know was protein sensitive until I tried your previous Protein Treatment Deep Conditioner. But this was amazing, AND it's VEGAN! Which is also awesome, and something I was searching high and low for. Thank you so much, this is a recipe I will be using for a loooong time <3

SweetSantifer: YES! My hair gets so stiff w/ too much protein so thank you very much for this. I use some of your other recipes & I love them! I know this will be great :)

Gaby W: Thanks for the recipe. I love coconut milk. I mix it with my henna. Leaves my hair so soft. Thanks to you I have embraced my natural hair. My texture is like yours. I had no idea I had such beautiful curls. My hair is only 8 inches long. I am on a quest to grow it another 10 inches so it is shoulder length. Thanks again! By the way, your husband is gorgeous! You are one lucky woman to have such a loving and caring man in your life. He seems like he is also beautiful on the inside, where it matters most.

Malikah D: Hey this is a great DIY! Although it took me a couple of tries. It was really watery . Then I realize I had to refrigerate the coconut milk to get a thicker consistency

sdoubles410: Im so happy you posted this bc ive been searching high and low for a protein treatment that my hair loves. And I think this is it bc my hair loves coconut oil, and when I do mayo treatments my hair feels spongy and gross.. keep coming up with these genius concoctions.

mariah is skinny fuck blue lives: Wow, I always noticed that my hair would turn brittle and dull after using anything with significant amounts of protein or amino acids in it, but I didn't know that there was a name for it and that other people experienced it too. Great video.

Cordelia M: I tried this and it worked perfect for my hair. Left my hair very moisturized ... Love it . Thank you for sharing

Reyna J: Great conditioner.  I had soft shiny defined curls next morning.  From myself and my hair - thank you!

Letha bo: I just want to let you know that your videos helped me a lot. My hair is healthy and wont stop growing :) we have the same type of hair and your homemade videos are AWESOME. keep up the great work !!! the only thing is the fact that the products you re trying in your reviews are really mooore expensive in Canada so I m just making the homemade ones for now... and I dont think we need a loot of products in order to have healthy and long hair...

U Like: I'm definitely protein sensitive, and you came right on time with this deep conditioner. Thx :)

Willow: Finally a DIY DC from Naptural85 that I can follow other than the banana and avocado one of course! I learned the hard way that my hair is protein sensitive... whew a hard hit to the wallet too. Thanks Whitney!

Heatherlynn: This recipe, minus the coconut, actually helped my protein overloaded hair. I added extra oils and mixed it with suave daily clarifying conditioner. My hair hates just about everything, so I was really surprised

LatashaTrueHeart: I love watching your videos! So far everything you've shown me has worked for me! I can't wait to try this one out!

Syrease: Love this! My hair has stayed soft for 4 days now. My hair is very dry, so this is a first. Thank you!

Brittany Tinker: Wow that looks amazing! I'll have to try that! I do the plain coconut OIL hair treatment a lot and that works really well so i'll give this a try!:) Thanks for the video.

Kesha Thompson: First and foremost, thankyou for sharing your experience with us. I enjoy your tutorials. My question is, have you ever tried using a Mango Butter mix or a Shea/Mango Butter mix? I'm currently deployed and can't wait to try it when I get home. Was wondering what your thoughts and/or experience is like. Thanks!

Ayyee_shaa: Results look incredible! Can't wait to try this one! Thanks a lot!

Sonya Henry: I will definitely be giving this a try. I loved your Mayo and Greek yogurt DC and couldn't believe how great my hair felt and looked afterwards. Thanks so much for the great tips!

MzWonderful2005: Wow, that looks absolutely yummy for the hair! Can't wait to try it!

Karin M: Wow, so beautiful! Love how shiny and healthy your hair looks. What a brilliant idea.

Ladeja Morris: Wow, love it. I love it. My hair is officially past my boobs and in the middle of my back. You have really helped me with my hair journey so far, keep it up, love ya gurl

Tee SoNatural: Whitney, Thanks so much for this! My hair was shedding, I guess from protein overload and after using this it stopped. I definetly made sure I strained it b4 using. So this is my fav conditioner now!

Jai Doll: I'm going to make this for my hair! I LOVE bananas and coconut. My hair isn't protein sensitive but I just want to use this for the smell, shine and softness, thanks for this<3

ttjewel: Your hair looked amazing after this conditioning recipe...I'm definitely giving this a try!

Gina Schønheyder: thanks for this tip. I love your videos. My hair has been through too many harsh winters and woolen hats, and I'm afraid it's shredded beyond repair, but I'll give this deep conditioner a try. If not, then I'll just shave it all off and start over. I've always been natural, but never shaved it all off! I'm so nervous about that.

b: Wow your hair looks AMAZING!!! I LOVE IT and am going to be a fan from now on to see if I can get my hair looking like yours. Thanks a million girl ❤️

KayCam: What happens when you're protein sensitive? I've never heard of that. I'm allergic to bananas, so what could I substitute for that ingredient? Love your videos and sense of humor! *Thanks*

Ja'Cole Crawford: I always try your things and they work so well and made my hair grow like crazy on my 2nd BC and i will most definately try this one too (:

Hautemomma1970: Oh I am definitely trying this on my 10 y/o daughter! She has extremely thick, long natural hair and it doesn't seem to hold moisture anymore. I had a hairdresser tell me yesterday that I should let her put a relaxer in my child's hair. I was like, oh hell naw! I don't care how thick it is and how easily it gets tangled. I'm never putting those chemicals in her hair.

Pebbles Brown: Tried this and I absolute LOVED this and it made my extreme 4C hair very soft and manageable. A must try!!!

SummerJ200: Thank you for sharing this vid! I finally realised what is wrong with my hair I am protein sensitive, Allthough this conditioner is lush (smells like baby food yum) as soon as I applied it my hair felt very brittle, this has ben a blessing in disguise for me..ease up on protein! thanks Naptural! xxxxx

Dana Miller-Cotto: I never thought of just applying deep conditioner to my hair, rinsing, and styling if I didn't need to co-wash that week. I may need to start doing this more often. The middle of my head is a lot coarser and drier than the rest of my hair! I suspect it is from a henna treatment from a few months ago, but since deep conditioning with heat, it is so soft. Can't wait to try this recipe! I always have bananas and coconut milk in my house :)

J Lee: Crazy... Before I watched this I did my deep condish today and used very similar stuff... Coconut milk, aloe vera gel (straight from the leaf :)), and olive oil. Also used honey! My hair felt a bit weirdish after but so soft as soon as i oiled it with argan, and coconut oil. Felt stronger too though while rinsing.. I'm the worst judge of hair results but as long as it don't fall out I'm good lol

Tasha Sneed: I'm going to try this for my 5 year old we've tried so many conditioners and I still haven't found a good one. I'm so glad I followed you for the past year and a half, my hair has grown so much thank you thank you for being such a beautiful person and you just helped me so much so I could get back to my old self.

SOULSTARBELLYDANCER7: I love it! I plan to try as a co-wash this week. I have been using all natural products for the past few months. Commercial products and all their proteins irritate my scalp, plus I have a gluten sensitivity...so far I am noticing a difference, using henna has helped. Just waiting to get rid of the color damaged ends. I also completed my first trim this weekend! So excited :) And thanks for the tip on using a strainer...not sure why I didn't think of that before...have a great day!

NunYaBiz000: My hair loved this deep conditioner! I tried it this past weekend. I wonder if I could make a batch, divide into containers, and freeze? My hair is short so the one batch you made could get me through about three to four DCs. I would assume it would be fine to freeze since it's banana, coconut milk, aloe vera juice, and EVOO. What do you think?

Dupra1980: I'm going to have to try this next week. My hair hate protein so we'll see! I love all your tips!

Tana Wilson: Thank you soooo much for this vid....I deep condition every week with avocado and other oils mixed in and I couldn't understand why my hair was hard to comb and kind of brittle. Will definitely try this on my next wash day.

Coconut Lovers Magazine: Can't wait to try this out! Thanks for the tips Whitney!

Munchie: Nap I love you! No seriously :) your awesome thanks for making my natural hair journey THAT much EASIER!

Vânia Luz: Eu amei isso de mais. Seu cabelo está cada dia melhor.

judy blackman: Hello Nap85, thank you for these home made recipes. How long can the hair conditioner last refrigerated, or do I need to make it fresh each time? I know I don't have to refrigerate the shampoo. Nice stuff! Just what I was looking for. Bless you.

Libra Moon: I can't wait to try this one.  You hair looked sooooo shiny afterwards.  TFS!

AliFit: I used this on my 4C hair this past Sunday... it still feels like butter!!! Thank you! Only problem was I thought I had washed out everything but noticed little white particles in my hair after and had to go back in the shower and co-wash it out...I have a feeling it may be because of the coconut milk brand I used. My mixture also ended up being less thick than how yours looks in the video. Going to buy a shower mirror like you suggested and will definitely be trying it again next month :)

Ashlee Vaughnzea: Oh My Graciousness YOU did it again! I was looking for a deep conditioning treatment to restore LIFE back in my hair and BOOM you upload this lovely piece of work! Love you Love you LOOOOOVVEEEE YYOOOU! ^_^

Motherofcurlz: Wow! This conditioner really gave you nice results. Your hair came out so shiny and moisturized. I have to give this a try. Thanks for the tip

michellecalling: This looks real good. I try this on my next wash day. Thanks for the tip!

Ida Renee: Aloe Vera juice is amazing! I've incorporated it into my wash day routine & my hair is stronger shinier & I experience less breakage. Can't wait to try this!!!

Theidra Gardiner: This recipe worked very well for my protein sensitive hair except I had to also tweak it a bit. I used 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise, 1 tablespoon honey, 1 teaspoon coconut milk (the rest I used for cooking :) ), 1 tablespoon avocado oil, 1 tablespoon grape seed oil, 1 teaspoon jamaican black castor oil. I put it in the fridge for a few minutes so it can be more solid. I then put in in my hair, used a handheld/travel hair steamer for 5 minutes (which you use to steam clothes) then covered my hair with a shower cap for another 25 minutes.

Shari Louise: OooOOOooooOoohh SniZZaPp!! Hands down, THEE BEST deep conditioner I have EVER used! I have low porosity hair, except for the front of my hair which is SUPER POROUS and a completely different texture, so I always struggle with finding the right ingredients to treat both hair types. This is IT! I used the gel straight from the aloe vera plant and some liquid coconut milk (=diluted with water). My hair has never been this soft, manageable and voluminous.. And this is just day 1! Thank you soooo much for this easy, inexpensive recipe. We have similar textures (3c/4a) but definitely NOT the same hair type, because I tried your mayo/egg dc before and it was NOT a good time.. At all. Lol, love you Whit! xoxoxo from Amsterdam <3

Deborah Russell: Love this DIY, I made it and added to routine, followed up with conditioner, and it was great!!! Love, Love, Love easy peesy......

Valdosta Courtney: Hi, I love your hair and I can't wait to try the Homemade Deep Conditioner.  I came across a video entitled Cherry Lola Treatment and alot of people really love the results but, one of the ingredients is baking soda, which lifts the cuticle.  Can you please give me your thoughts on this treatment?  Also, have you ever used it?  Thanks, Val

Kurbypinky: Most definitely going to the store today. It looks so easy! :-D

OcTaVia: Hi Whitney, Did u do any more moisturizing after washing and before u did the twists or was it already moisturized from the conditioner?

D'Lena Duncan: Just made this and put it in my stubbornly dry hair. It is more moisturized than it has been in years! Kind of blown away. Thanks for sharing!

Christan Ross: I absolutely cannot wait to try this conditioner out!!! And I love your fun unique personality. The intro in this video was HILARIOUS!! It looked like something I would do! LOL!! and your makeup was so beautiful and natural! Where'd you get your lipstick? I love the natural pink color!!

black.and.nerdy: That looks like a yummy conditioner! For non-protein sensitive hair I wonder if you can add a little Greek yogurt to beef up the protein? Looks fabulous!

ColourBrights: Your natural hair is gorgeous! Do you incorporate a special diet to keep it growing so full and long? And how long did it take you to grow out that length?
