The method you use to wash your hair is more important than you might think. Maryam Hampton shows us her technique to achieving clean, hydrated, and tangle-free natural hair using Aveda Damage Remedy products.

To begin, Maryam shampoos her hair with Aveda Damage Remedy Restructuring Shampoo, focusing on removing build-up and oil from her roots and massaging into her scalp. She then rinses out her shampoo and moves onto conditioning and detangling. Maryam uses Aveda Damage Remedy Restructuring Conditioner, applying the product evenly throughout her hair and focusing on her ends. She brushes the conditioner through with a wet brush, gently detangling her hair in two even sections. After rinsing out the conditioner, she applies Aveda Damage Remedy Intensive Restructuring Treatment from roots to ends and lets this sit for 3-5 minutes. This weekly treatment is ideal for repairing damaged hair, preventing split ends, and adding a layer of long-lasting hydration prior to heat styling.

Hey guys., My name is Maryam Hampton and in today's video I'm going to be sharing with you, how I cleanse my natural hair using all Aveda products.. So if you're interested keep on watching. So for shampoo, I'm going to be using the Aveda Damage Remedy Restructuring Shampoo.. This shampoo has a specific protein that helps repair and strengthen damaged hair.. When I shampoo my hair, I like to focus mainly on the roots. Massage in the shampoo into my hair and getting rid of any gunk and buildup that I may have. Once I am done. Shampooing, my hair, I will thoroughly rinse all of the shampoo out and move on to conditioner. [ MUSIC PLAYING ] For conditioner, I'm going to be using the Damage Remedy Restructuring Conditioner. This conditioner works extremely well with the matching shampoo and it is a right detangler.. Now I'm just going to apply this conditioner all over the length of my hair and let it work its magic. [, MUSIC PLAYING ]. Now I'm going to start the detangling process. And, as you can see, this conditioner detangles like a dream., I usually detangle my hair and four sections, and sometimes even eight sections.. But today all I had to do was detangle my hair. In two sections. I was able to do detangle my hair extremely quickly with this conditioner and I literally am amazed. [ MUSIC PLAYING ] After I'm done tangling my hair. I will thoroughly rinse out all the conditioner and move on to deep conditioning. The next product. I'M going to be using is the Intensive Restructuring Treatment., And this is more of a deep treatment that you're only to do weekly.. This product has organic quinoa oil as well as Castor oil, two of my favorite oils., And it helps support hair's natural defense against future damage.. So it's definitely a great product to use before straightening your hair.. So I apply this product from my roots to my ends and I leave in for about five minutes. [ MUSIC PLAYING ]. After a few minutes, I go ahead and rinse all of that product out of my hair. [, MUSIC PLAYING ], And then I will go ahead and just put my hair into two big twists., And that is it.. That is how I cleanse and condition my natural hair.. I really hope you guys enjoyed it., Give me a huge thumbs up and make sure you subscribe to Aveda's channel for more tutorials.. Thank you so much to Aveda for allowing me to share my tips and tricks on how I cleanse my natural hair. And thank you for watching.

Kelly: Yasss Maryam Sold!! You never steer me wrong ❤️

Nubia Sista: It would be nice if you guys partnered with someone with 4c hair. With this quarantine i am unable to go to salon, but i still want to take care of mt hair. I just want to know which products would be best to use for my 4c hair on wash day if I want to straighten it myself.

Acacia: @Aveda Is the sulfate in the Brilliant shampoo enough to remove the silicones in the same conditioner after each wash? I've been sulfate and silicone free for 8 years and I'm worried my wavy/curly hair will dry out. I want to know that my hair can still absorb my leave-in conditioner after using this conditioner with silicone. I don't know what my hair porosity is unfortunately...

Sage Void: Aren't this shampoo and conditioner for relaxed or transitioning hair? Why would you use shampoo for damaged hair only on your natural roots which are the healthiest? What other Aveda lines would work for healthy undamaged natural hair?

Shamiirian Da Entertainment: You ❤️

AllLove LeadsToHelp: I thought you should never detangle wet hair?

Joly M89: Why would anyone use a Denman Brush to detangle their hair after shampooing it, that literally hurts my heart ‍♀️
