Cradle cap is a skin condition that occurs in many healthy babies and usually begins within the first three months of age. Cradle cap causes flaking and skating around the scalp caused by an overproduction of sebum and skin cells. This is a result of high levels of hormones transferred from mother to baby at the end of pregnancy. It'S not a serious condition and isn't harmful or painful and left alone will clear itself up within six to 12 months to give it a helping hand. Here are some things: you'll need coconut or olive oil. A soft, clean toothbrush and samar baby shampoo for more persistent cradle cap, some apple, cider, vinegar and some cotton buds or cotton or pads natural oils, such as coconut or olive oil, can be used to soften the area enough to remove the flakes about an hour before Bath time apply a liberal amount of oil to the affected area and let it sit for at least 15 minutes, preferably longer next. Take a soft, clean toothbrush or a baby brush and use a circular motion to slowly lift the skin. You don't have to remove it. All in one session, what doesn't come off with a few light. Strokes can be taken care of on baby's next wash day using a small amount of baby shampoo gently massage into the scalp and then rent apply a small amount of coconut oil to the hair and scalp to finish. Here'S a before and after as you can see, almost all the cradle cap has been removed. Sometimes cradle cap can be slightly more persistent. This was the case with my daughter, although I knew it wasn't harmful would most likely correct itself. I found that the hair growth seemed to be impeded in those areas, so I wanted to take care of it sooner. Rather than later, i diluted some apple cider vinegar. I used one part apple, cider, vinegar to one part water, then using either a cotton bud or cotton wool pad. I applied it to the small areas that were still affected, be careful not to saturate your applicator too much, so the solution doesn't run or fall into the babies eyes. Apple cider vinegar has a strong smell, so I usually applied it about an hour prior to her nighttime bath, so I could wash it out, and by morning the smell was gone after to oil and vinegar treatments. The cradle cap was permanently removed. Thank you. Lacy Telles: This was so helpful for my little one! My baby is mixed and when I searched online I had a hard time finding photos of cradle cap that matched what the scales looked like on my baby's scalp. Your video totally helped and also the remedies have already started to work after three days. Thank you!

Davis52gether: She is so precious!! Congrats on your new edition.  I used these methods 16 when my daughter had cradle cap. Very effective.

TotallyTyra: Great video and what a beautiful baby! Both my babies had it. I used the first method you described with jojoba oil and it only took 3 treatments before it was completely gone.

Dashia Rahmaan: Your daughter is so cute. I really enjoy watching your vids...you're so gentle with your children's hair. Wish my mom would have did the same when I was a child. I hated getting my hair washed and combed. Thanks for sharing! :-)

Kathryn Atkinson: Your baby made my heart smile!

YT4Me57: Cradle cap is a very old phenomenon among newborns. I've read about it in old medical books my mom had. I love the use of natural products to manage it. In the old days, that type of treatment was recommended. Happy to see doctors are returning to it.

girley011: My 3 month old daughter with a completely full head of 4a/4b hair texture has had cradle cap since she was born. I was using olive oil at 1st and it did nothing, then I used coconut oil but not following up after the olive oil scrub. The coconut oil didn't seem to work either. I then used shea butter and her scalp got read, puss-filled and inflamed. I've been using Mustela products and it isn't as bad but still present. Do you prefer olive oil over coconut oil for moisturizing and if using a water bottle for moisture, should I use water and olive oil or water and coconut oil?

Pinkpassion: I always watch you massage your child's hair it makes me wanna get massage.and my nephew had cradle cap and it was white and flaky I didn't know what to do so I slowly picked it out.
