DETAILS ABOUT THIS VIDEO

Check out my blog for a break down of this treatment Here

http://easynaturalhair.com/2014/01/15/...

Ingredients:

*3 Eggs (in this video I am using organic eggs, but using a regular egg works fine)

*1/2 cup of Extra virgin olive oil

Start off with clean hair.

Apply to egg all over the hair, make sure to cover each strand.

Sit under the heated hair dryer for about 30 minutes or until the egg has hardened.

You can also use a hand held dryer, but don't touch the hair. (if you are afraid the egg will cook and be hard to get out you can just use a plastic cap and let it stay on for 30 minutes to an hour. It's all about preference!

Rinse out with conditioner of your choice.

Deep condition afterwards to balance moisture and protein. You don't want to be left with hard hair that starts to shed and snap off.

For my deep conditioning I just use my regular rinse out conditioner and extra virgin olive oil.

After your deep conditioning add leave in and style as normal.

So I'm getting ready to do a protein treatment on my hair and I'm whipping up a little salt in something I'm going to be using three eggs and half a cup of 100 % extra virgin olive oil. So I already have the eggs here: I'm going to go ahead and pour in the oil and make sure that you mix it up. I start on freshly washed hair. I applied the mix all over my hair. I leave my hair uncovered and then I just sit under a heated dryer for about thirty minutes or until it starts to harden just like you do when you're using a CG. That'S right. So I'm sitting here jamming listening to percent Michelle okay. So now I am done, and you can see here that my hair is still so you want to be very careful. You definitely don't want to comb through your hair. At this point I go ahead and I like to rinse out the treatment with conditioner. I don't want to add: shampoo is just going to really dry. My hair out protein can be very drying, and that is all stay tuned for a few details. At the end of this video, I used this nail for over three months. I was using the effigy and I decided to switch it up a little bit and let me tell you there is nothing like using egg and your hair for a protein treatment like it was so good. I was pill it. I was pleasantly surprised because I'm not one to whip up some hair products in my kitchen um, but it's great for the hair. My hair is still really nice and soft. Now what I did notice is: it is a pretty strong protein treatment. So if your protein system be careful, I am so. I can only do this like once every two months once a month, maybe - and I'm someone who uses heat so I'll - just be very careful with it um make sure you do condition afterwards. I'Ve definitely did a deep conditioning afterwards, um, so that I can balance the protein and the moisture, but I hope you guys enjoyed this video off with more details down in the About section subscribe thumbs up bye, you

SammySingally: Alicia! You posted it on the 14th, the day I "celebrated" my third year natural! :) I love doing protein treatments with eggs. They are amazing in protein treatments! I usually add a bit of honey to my protein treatments and not just the eggs and olive oil. Ohmigosh! When I heard, "hooded drier," then saw you under one, I was like, "I hope some of the egg doesn't get cooked in her hair. 'Cause if it does, Mrs. James is going to have some breakfast in her hair."

Tisha P: tried this yesterday! ive been suffering from some breakage, for example when I run my fingers thru my hair I would always come out with little peices of hair! this whole day ive been running my hands thru my hair and havent gotten any little hairs! I can definetly tell my hair soaked up all that good protein. thanks for the tip!

Faith E: Omg I used the same protein treatment during the summer but with honey in it! It really does wonders for your hair :) !

nite kat: What deep conditioner would you recommend? Does it grow the hair? Does it straighten damaged or shredding hairs? Thank you for your feedback whenever you get back.

khalilah40: Just tried this this morning, its so similar to aphogee 2 step treatment. I love it, was just really messy, but ,my curls are popping! Thanks Alicia 4 the recipe!

daphnie7: great video! straight to the point and informative.  thanks for the extra notes afterwards.. very very helpful*

Kay Seminomadic: Nice. I do this once a month after dying my hair and it makes it soft. I used to use Afrogee as well. I usually add essential oils to balance out the egg smell.

Napashah Lahat: Try a better method.... Beat the eggs first. Then sift 1oz of oil at a time. Beat together and continue until you've made it all a homogenous mix. The mix will become thicker. It should whip up and you should see peaks like a conditioner. This IS your protein and deep conditioning treatment. Cover for 30-45 min and rinse.

Love Layefa: I'll defo be trying this once I take out my braids. I love that it's so simple not too many ingredients. Thank you!

Marquita Wilson: I just want to say i tried this over the weekend and immediately have noticed my hair took product better (not sure if that's what its for), it was incredibly soft, not frizzy and im just in love will definitely be doing this in my regular routine

Aysia Santana: Tip: use an electric handheld mixer on high speed to beat the mixture to a creamy, custard like consistency.

Rosannasfriend: last year, one of my fave mixes was eggs, yogurt, olive oil and honey. AWESOME!! Right now, I'm into store bought protein treatments and moisturizing treatments. But I intend to go back to homemade mixtures soon this year.

MAR: use only egg yolk with olive oil or other oils while the egg white keep it for face mask and no heat required for hair treatment just keep it for 45 min to 1 hour and let the scalp absorbe all the ingredients in same time use the egg white face mask.

Alicia James: ❤ Thank you everyone for watching and commenting! I will be answering questions below asap and will also do a thorough blog covering all questions and concerns regarding this process! Thank you again! :) ❤

LYSTRADEE: PEOPLE!!! Don't use heat with the egg protein treatment!! Just put on a plastic cap and let it sit for one hour! The added heat is way too drying!! Lawd!!

Sweetlady1916: What is the difference between a deep conditioner and intensive hair mask? Do both add moisture to hair, or protein?

Chay Andrea: Loved the video :) I actually just uploaded an egg and olive oil protein treatment with yogurt and I loved how strong it made my hair!

babyboi39339: This is something as a father i can do to my daughter's hair. Thanks and i subbed you

brianna: Your hair looks gorg! I tried this on my hair and it works very well tysm!

NiñaPreciosa: You should add honey in your Mask It Will help with the dryness:)

Alicia Grogan: Great vid! Short and to the point. Thanks

Individually Me: So glad I found this video. I usually do nap85's protein treatment but I had already washed my hair before realizing I was all out of Mayo lol

JoyToTheWorld: I do this treatment too.  But I add raw honey to mine.  I do it once a week on my wash day.  My hair is so much thicker!

Azariah Stacy Neriah: did it help your hair grow faster?how often did you do it?

MissNatural UK: Egg and oil is basically mayonaise. As there is lots of oil added to the egg it will not cook. I am low porosity but will try this when I need a protein boost as I colour my grey's. Thanks Alicia for another punchy straight to it video xxx

kimberly rodriguez: How long does it take to help split ends?

Fun-Sized Joan: I'm still not sure how often you should do this treatment. I've read comments that say do it once every week, once every month, 2 times a week... Can anyone tell me the best method to this? My hair is growing, but I'm still not happy with the length (BTW My hair is a little past my shoulder) and I want it to my mid back by the end of August. Any suggestions?

Aramide Akingbola: Can you still do this treatment on a dyed hair? After putting the mixture on your hair,do i wash with warm or cold water first before using the conditioner?

Michelle M: My hair loves egg also! Isn't it nice to have a natural, inexpensive protein treatment for the hair that won't  harm it? :-)

DimplesDeep1: How would I know if I am protein sensitive? I'm also surprised that the egg didn't cook under the dryer...I get pieces of egg fried by just washing it out with luke warm water. Thanks for the video

louisa street: i have a tip- once you have used the egg and oil just rinse it out and put coconut oil in your hair and rinse and condition it out in the morning

Cassyp4cLife: Yessss...that egg is a protein POW to my hair, I usually do it 1 X a month. Thanks for sharing, and of course I love your hair. How did you get your finished hair at the end?

08PEARLfection7: For hair that may be a little shorter than yours, would you recommend maybe using one or two eggs instead of 3? Or should the three eggs be what we all use?

Anolta Matthews: How often should you do this treatment? is twice a month too much?

Beatriz Thurmond: Do you have to use olive oil? Or can it be any kind of oil?

Nakeisha Evans: qu question, was your hair always that long or did you have to grow it out? its so pretty.. thats the length i am trying to get to.

Leigh Walters: I use Greek yogurt and oil for my protein treatments :)

robstarTV: I love homemade kitchen treatments! You hair looks great.

reallyme02: I love your videos. They are always straightforward. You look fab as usual.

sparkle gazer: Can this treatment be used on all hair types? I'm Caucasian with coarse thick hair and my hair has me crying

Diamond Charles: Could you substitute the olive oil in for coconut oil?

missj Stephens: Yay good to know i can use my dryer. I always thought the egg would cook into my hair

Kaligirl: I have a question Alicia. You said after you finish from being under the hair dryer you said you rinse it out with a conditioner. Did you first rinse out the egg protein first? and then put on the conditioner? Also, when you said you start off with a fresh wash, you mean you shampooed your hair first and then did the protein treatment ?

ChrisHitBills - Ps3: does it matter what type of condition you use ?

Jada Johnson: I did egg n olive hair growth today it makes my hair grow. Should I shampoo or conditioner after egg n olive oil hair growth? Which olive oil or pure olive oil

Curly4Christy: Sometimes I just don't understand why you don't have 1 million subscribers by now!!! lol you are awesome!!

Kay: My hair is damaged. Will this help a lot for my damaged hair? I have very thick, 3c, mid length hair if that helps.

Nick Step: Will be trying this on my next wash day....question did you have problems with egg left in your hair with applying the heat?? would not have thought to sit under the dryer because of the raw egg

Beauty Queen: How often do you do the treatment

Lua: Is it weird that I've never seen anyone else have my exact hair texture/curl. It's like fascinating. O_O

Kari Baker: will this help with high porosity hair?

Jenny O: Problem. I washed my hair two day ago, and now it's dry and brittle. I washed it out with a deep conditioner yesterday, but it didn't really work. I'm wondering when my hair will return back to normal. Im starting to get fearful that it wont turn back to normal. I need help.
