Hey loves this, the foster here and in this video I'm going to be showing you guys how I do my perm rod set. I love this hairstyle, the curls come out so defined and shiny and moisturize I'm going to be using the salon Kerr. Three quarters of an inch size, perm rods, it's the orange ones and I use about 34 of them. That'S about three packs, I'm starting on freshly cleansed and conditioned hair. When I go ahead and apply my curls blueberry blitz, leave-in conditioner, like I do with every single hairstyle going to make sure that I get that all throughout my hair. Now I'm going to go ahead and part my hair into five sections. The partying process is very important because you want to make sure that you have to break up the parts - the least amount as possible, because the more you have to break up parts of more potential there is for frizzy hair. So I'm going to do three across the front and two sections part it horizontally in the back, and I'm also going to use my fine-tooth comb to create the part. My part where I want it now, I'm going to take one of the front sections and I'm going to grab my spray bottle and saturate that section with some more water. Since my hair is already wet. Now I'm going to apply extra virgin olive oil to that section, making sure that I work it in really good, because this is really important for hydrating and locking in the moisture that I got on my hair from the water. Now I'm going to apply the Shea Moisture, curl enhancing smoothie to the section, and I'm going to make sure that I call all of my strands with this product, because this is going to be the styling product used and it's going to determine how moisturize and define My hair is at the end, so now I'm going to grab a densely bristled brush and I am going to smooth out the hair. This is really really important. Now, with this technique, I'm going to make sure that my roots are really straight or as straight as they can be. So I'm going to start by two strand twisting the section and then I'm going to grab my perm rod, smooth it down the section and start to roll it up. The second part of making sure the roots are straight is going to be the way that I fasten the perm rod onto my hair. So I'm going to take the fastener around the back of the perm rod after I roll it up and then I'm going to fasten it. This is going to make sure that the rubber part of it is right up against my roots. So now I'm going to show you the technique again on another section: again, I'm going to go ahead and brush it with my bristle brush and then I am going to two strand twist detangle with the fine toothed comb apply, my perm rod, smoothing it down the Section before I start to roll up and then I'm going to take the fastener behind the back. Here'S another slow motion and you can see that I'm bringing it around the back and I am fastening it so that technique. It does take some time to get used to it, but once you kind of get the hang of it, it's really easy and the results are great. When you take the hair down, your roots are going to be very smooth, so I'm going to go ahead and show you a few more times sped up my technique now, also when to throw in there that in the two sections in the back that are parted Horizontally are part of both of those sections a second time horizontally, to make sure that I was working a small enough sections for my hair to be defined and not frizzy. Also, when I get to the top section, I do the same thing. I separate that section into two sections and please ignore the weird faces that I'm making, because I make really worried face when I'm styling my hair, for whatever reason so now I am all rolled up and you can see that it looks really neat. My roots are not puffy and my hair looks really shiny on the rock, because I'm going to be sitting under the blow-dryer for a little bit, I'm going to take my chi 44 ironguard heat, protectant and just spray it all over. My hair, I ended up sitting on a dryer for one hour and then I slept in the rod, so my hair was dry by the morning now my hair is dry and I'm all made up and I'm going to go ahead and start taking down the rollers. You can see here my hair is extremely shiny and very defined this product, the Shea Moisture curl enhancing smoothie works really good with olive oil, and it just was a perfect product to use for this style, so we're going to go ahead and take down the rest Of my perm rods, now I'm going to cut my hands on olive oil for the takedown and separating process. I like to separate my hair as I am untwisting. I don't like to go through and untwist all the clips and then go back and separate because I miss a lot of sections, so I am just going to separate the two strands with and then I'm going to very carefully pull the section apart where it naturally Wants to part at and I'm just going to twirl it around my finger all the way down to the tip of the hair, and that is how I make sure that my hair is frizz free and so here's, my hair, all separated, and it's just so defined. It'S not frizzy, and I just I love it so much even just like this before I start picking out the roots. So now I'm going to take my pick and I'm going to do my favorite part, I'm going to pick the roots out now I'm going to go ahead and shape my hair really quick, y'all know I like to use bobby pins to create illusions with my hair. Since I'm kind of in this awkward stage of hair growth, so I'm going to define my part a little more by adding bobby pins to my part and then I'm going to add bobby pins to pin up the back just a little bit. I like to do this because it creates the an illusion that my hair is in a particularly really isn't in, because my hair is cut even all the way around and now my hair is done. I think this style is so adorable. It'S very nice. It'S very moisturizing, the curls are very defined and I just love it. It'S definitely a nice switch up from my twist outs and my wash and gos. I hope you guys enjoy the video make sure you rate comment and subscribe, and I hope that you have an amazing amazing amazing day have a good one. Peace
