Hi guys welcome back to the channel it's a girl. Today'S video is going to be on this beautiful flat. Twist hairstyle. Listen, i haven't been styling. My hair, i haven't been really taking care of my hair, so this is a perfect style. That'S going to have your hair tucked away protected moisturized for the week and you don't have to play in your hair. You don't have to do anything so just my kind of style. If you ask me if you're interested then keep on watching all right, so i spent about almost a year actually without getting braids last year, and then i got braids about a month ago and i got them back to back. So, basically, i did two cornrows style back to back and for the past year my scalp was doing phenomenally well. Okay, i had absolutely no flakes. There was nothing on my scalp for the past year when i was doing wash and go's and at least washing my hair as frequently as i can, and then i started getting braids and the first time around, and i know this because my mom helped me put My first set of braids in and she was like wow your scalp is clear: you have no dandruff and she calls it dandruff. I don't think i actually have dandruff. I think it's just dry scalp. My scalp was looking good. Okay, that's what i'm trying to say and then i got braids took them out, got braids again and then my scalp started flaking. So all that to say we don't like to admit certain things, but i have to say when it comes to braiding my hair at least what i've noticed is that it doesn't serve my scalp very well, and i do my braids myself. So i try to be very mindful of how tight they are, but even then a little corner here, a little thing there sometimes can be a little too tight and you feel it like, for example, when i did this braids right behind my ears here um. It wasn't tight, but every time i put on my glasses it would hit the back of my braids and i felt like it was kind of ripping my hair out, but i guess we'll see now so basically, all i'm saying is that our scalp really does benefit From having water on it frequently at least my scalp did because the moment i stopped, i started getting dry scalp again, i'm trying to take these braids out in a way where i can preserve the hair, because if i do decide to braid my hair with extensions Again, it's going to be the same one girl, because i don't have any other extensions. How am i supposed to save this? How? No you know what we're just not gon na use: extensions; okay, we're just gon na flat twist our own hair, all right. Another thing that i've noticed when it comes to protective styling and protective styling with no oils is that my hair doesn't dry out as much as it typically does, like. Typically, when you take out your braids, your hair is in rough shape. Okay, we can admit it. We don't have to lie about it, but when i take out my braids, even though i've been ignoring my hair for the past two weeks and let me say something i did not even tie my hair down at night, my hair was all over the couch just Drying out, friction on friction and my hair. Isn'T that bad like it doesn't dry out the way that it would when it was coated with oil. So that's another thing to point out, but let me take out these braids and then i will be back okay. So i'm almost done, but i have a question. I have a question: okay, um. Do we still watch hair videos? Hmm, oh, that's a deep one! Be honest. Let me know if you are someone who's still very much interested in watching hair videos, because i don't know. I just feel like everything that could have been said about hair has been said. Even though now there's a whole new wave of education. That'S happening, you know, don't use oils. This is what you should do. So let me know if you still watch her videos and if you don't, what kind of videos do you enjoy watching? Let me know down below i'm just curious. I want to know i want to know what y'all be doing on your free time. So leave a comment down below we are done. My hair looks uh very much crazy. It'S giving i need to cut the color. It'S giving big drop is coming soon. It'S giving oh a faded, tapered cut! Oh, i see it alright! So right now i am going to wash my hair and my scalp is on fire and it's also very flaky. I don't know if you can see it but very flaky, and you know what i don't know. If it's because of the extension itself, you know how they say that the extensions is coated with like something that should not be in our hair, and sometimes we have a bit of a allergic reaction to the extensions. I don't know if it's that or if it's just the fact that my hair has been braided for two weeks and has not seen water, because at the end of the day, scalp is ken and if we're not in it on a regular basis, cleansing it washing. It taking care of it, then it's gon na be flaky girl and that's okay. You know, i know what i've done, i'm not tripping about it. So to wash my hair today, though, i'm gon na use some new products. Let me grab them so these products were gifted to me, but i'm interested because i can't even open the box. Oh there. It is i'm interested to use them because a white man made them honestly. That'S that's! That'S why jvn, i'm not sure if you guys have heard of this line, he's like a jack of all trades, he's a comedian actor hairdresser, just everything, there's an embodied collection, a complete collection and an undamaged collection. But the embody collection is more for volume, which i don't care about. So there's a nurture collection, which is a hydrating shampoo. I think i'm going to use this. One shine drops instant recovery, serum interesting, pre-wash, scalp oil wait a minute. Oh it's made with squalane. Okay, it's a regular oil, i'm tempted, i'm so tempted. How do i put it in my hair? Oh my god. I am very much tempted okay, so i think all i'm gon na use is the shampoo it's funny, because so many products that you know are white counterparts uses have a lot of oils. So you know i kind of feel like i'm restricting myself for no reason at this point, but anyways we'll just use the hydrating shampoo, which looks like this and then interesting container. It'S like a middle like aluminum. What is this anyways um and then i'll use? Probably a g conditioner, you all must be so bored of me using ag hair care, but i have them and i have to use them. You know i'm not gon na throw it away. You guys have seen me wash my hair a million times, so we are going to skip the wash process and we'll just come back when my hair is washed and then we'll be ready to style. All right hair has been washed and it is time to get into it. Today'S style is going to be easy breezy. Hopefully it doesn't even take too long big flat twist. That'S what we're gon na do just to hold our hair for the next week. I don't need it to last and i don't really care if it's actually i do. I do. I want it to look cute, but i don't care if it doesn't. Last. Oh, my god, it's been a while, since i've styled my hair on camera. Why do i know what to do? I have some water bottle on deck products that we're going to be using is the camille rose. Leave-In camille rose gel. I recently started using this for wash and gos, but because i have umektens and stuff in it. I want to use it here, we'll use some mousse only if needed only if needed. Let'S put this leave-in conditioner everywhere. Oh my hair has grown so much honestly. Why am i still holding on to the color? I don't know so, let's get to partying. So the part of partying, i'm thinking like one two, three four, maybe like five flat twists all right. Let'S do the first one now we're going to add a little bit of the gel, especially on the ends. Okay, we're going to add a little bit of water because my hair is starting to dry out a little bit and then i am going to use the mousse. I didn't think i was, but i think it's gon na make my style a little sleeker, because i mean technically i kind of want this to look good. I want it to be minimal effort, but look good all right now, let's start to flat twist, if you want a flat twisting video, i have a whole detailed video on my channel so check that one out all right first twist is done. This is gon na be fast. I can feel it all right next twist, so for this one that tip all the way over here, mm-hmm all right, just like that, we are done we're gon na. Do the finishing touches okay. So what i'm gon na do is tie my ends with bobby pins and then do my edges. Yes, girl. I am going to do my baby hairs and then i'll come back when my hair is all done. Unless you want to see me, do my edges, do you, okay, i'll, show you edge control that i'm using? Is this blueberry bliss girl by curls? I have been liking it i just find that it gives a soft hold. So hopefully it's not ripping out my edges bobby pins, i'm not going to use a lot of the curl edge control thing, just a tiny bit and i'm just going to put it around my edges just like that and as you can see, i'm actually just using The back of the cone or just the comb to do this, i find that it's just much gentler on your edges. That way, once you're done go ahead and tie down your hair, why am i struggling with this? Why am i struggling what's going on all right? Let it dry take it out and we'll see what it looks like there. We are final look. My hair actually feels amazing. First of all, you know using products that are heavy in humectants. It'S such a game changer, my hair, is not completely dry, but it's going to take a while for it to get fully dry because of the humectants, and that's just such a nice feeling, just your hair being moist all right. This is the final look. This is what my hair looks like i like it. It'S going to keep my hair nice and protected for at least a week. I do want to do my hair next week. I'Ve been neglecting my hair for the longest time and i i need to get back into it and i say that but then i don't so i make no promises. I will say we'll see what happens, but the goal is for me to do my hair again in about a week all right. Thank you so much for watching today's video. Let me know if you enjoyed this style. If you want to see me, do oh no, i was going to say if you want to see me do more styles, but i don't even know if i want to start this can of worm start the can of warm yeah open the can of warm. I don't know if i want to do that because y'all won't be like yes, i want to see styles, but i don't. Maybe i don't want to do it alright. Thank you. So much for watching and i'll see you in my next one. You

🌻Sunshine🌻: Yes, Im still obsessed with watching hair videos like simple hairstyles, protective style challenges with two strand twists (no extensions) and DIYs.

L. W.: Flatwist, twistouts, and two strand twist until the end of time for me. However I clarify my scalp and shampoo my hair every 7 to 14 days. I’m addicted to watching videos on twist and flatwist hair journeys because that’s my life.

Naana- Ési Acquaah-Arhin: I do go back on videos i've already watched just to see 4c hair being handled nicely, washed, braided, fluffed, w/ever. It's so soothing to me, especially brush or comb detangling. I feel like 4c hair asmr is an under-served niche fr

harmoney1980: Still look forward to my tried and true afro hair influencers releasing new hair content. You were one of the 1st influencers I found who had hair like mine and broke things down so I could understand. Will be forever grateful for that. Still a product junkie but a lazy natural so love hearing about new products, tips and tricks. I have my wash weekend, then have 2 weekends off. Always in 2 strand (nearly) mini twists as I like the flexibility of them. After 3+ years natural I now like to do my own research on hair and scalp health. Reading the actual papers that are often used as sources can open up a whole new world. Going to Chemists Corner, the Natural Haven and the beauty brains blew up so many misconceptions that I had about hair. I had given up on coconut oil as a prepoo as it made my hair feel dry. Turns out I was using an excessive amount and not leaving it on long enough. One final thing a tip I have learned if you use Marshmallow Root. I use it as a detangler works great for me but every one always said to boil it then leave it to cool. The best way to actually prepare it is to soak it in water overnight then strain it and stick it in a spray bottle. Anyway thank you for reading my word vomit

mizztotal: The flat twist was so relaxing. I'm gonna wash and do mine this weekend. Your videos really helped me on my 4C hair journey. Thanks for the tip on the humectant gel!

Bridget Sekati: Hello Jenn. I watch very few hair videos these days. Over the past year I realised that I had to be picky about the messages that I was listening to about hair. Finding videos that don't make me feel stressed out (long regimes, purse draining products, healthy attitudes towards hair at every stage) is not exactly easy which is why I love you so much and will continue to come back here for more. I vibe with videos about loving the woman that the hair is growing out of.

Tina Blair Bronson: Hi Jenn! Good to see you back! I don't watch as many hair videos as I use to! I watch more for new product info. I still stick to my routine of a wash day every 7 to 8 days!

Naturally Stylish: I still watch hair videos... My purpose for watching them has changed though. At first it was because I didn't know how to style my hair. Now it's because I just want to watch someone do their hair while I'm doing mine...we don't even have to be doing the same style. But I especially watch creators that I can relate to

BaZa girl: Yes I still do watch hair videos and here are my reasons: -things change all the time -discovery are made and need to be shared. -Hair topic evolve and still interesting. -There is more to learn about our hair and videos reminds us of things we tend to forget. Don’t stop making hair videos just be creative about them! Keep it fun but a learning opportunity. Thanks for doing you! You’re doing great

Neosoul_prima: First off sis, that flat twist pattern, is something I definitely want to try! It truly looks effortless, and it leads me to your question! I definitely still watch hair videos! However, I only watch them from creators who are more about having a solid foundation and doing easy simple styles like yourself! I still get excited over product launches, and I will always love to watch people shampoo and condition their hair. It's truly relaxing to watch!

MoreSwahiliNaps: I watch hair videos for the therapeutic benefits it has on me. I love watching ladies doing their hair. I could binge watch washdays for hours! So yes, some of us still watch hair videos not so much for the tips but it’s soothing to watch. At least for me.

G.J Fan: As long as I have my hair on my head, I will watch hair videos; protective hairstyles, wash days ugh my faaavvs, dyeing hair.. anything and everything with type 4hair sign me uuppp Keep slaying Jenn✨

Kim Lewars: Yes. Give me all the hair videos! You’re one of the few that I can say my hair REALLY looks like. Not necessarily a how to but let us get ready with you so we can see hair, make up and outfit. I just big chopper for the 5th time lol so I’m back to looking on here again for shorter styles ‍♀️

Divineservent s: Jen! I followed this tutorial last night, woke up this morning and it turned out so good! This was my 1st time trying flat twist and I couldn't be prouder of myself. Thank you for helping me grow more confident in my natural hair journey :) Big hugs

NAIKOchan17: Still watching hair videos! I've also stopped using oils and butters so I watch them more now for specific style inspiration rather than looking for products or education (that hole has been filled with all this new info and simplicity thank God). I am still quite invested in your hIr journey because you are the only popular influencer with similar looking hair to mine who is still on this journey of discovery. Looking forward to seeing your progress with your new methods, especially since your new growth is all hair that has been Oil free, so won't be going through the uphill battle of oil induced dehydration. Also I like that you are always being realistic and positive about and towards your hair (the 4c pity party as gotten really tired for me). So I hope you will keep sharing your hair updates even if it's not as often as you did before. You have a lot happening in your life currently, so don't box yourself in and do what you want!

Skylar Carreiro: I still love watching hair videos! especially since I just had my first curly cut two weeks ago, I need all the help I can get on what to do with this short curly hair!!

Cheshire Dj: I still love watching hair videos. I can always do better with my hair and I've been natural for decades! They are relaxing and also inspire me to get up and start my washday

Marley Hill: That's what I wear! Short-term protective styles for 7 -10 days then shampoo. my scalp thanks me. lol! I love watching hair videos!!

Mame Diarra Drame: I can't get enough of hair videos! I even watch vlogs just because people are doing their hair in it. It's just really relaxing to me.

1GoldenBreeze: Love your flat twist style! I still watch hair videos it's soothing to watch people do their hair. I enjoy laughing at myself because even after years of watching flat twist and cornrow videos I still can not do either one. I like watching people who care for their hair the way I do, and people who care for their hair totally different. My favorite is watching people with long hair to get ideas of styles that I might do with my hair, but I rarely try any new styles because I like keeping them simple. As a matter of fact, most of the long-haired type 4 ladies keep their styling simple. I don't know the effects of extension hair on the scalp because I have never used any added hair. Other types of videos that I watch are family, vacation, gaming, police and fire rescue, and computer building.

Ash O: Natural hair videos are like ASMR for me. I won’t get tired of it even if nothing new is said!

Reneg8d_locs on Instagram: I have microlocks now but I've been following your channel for a looooonnng time. Since before you big chopped after getting a relaxer. I said all of that to say, you're the only hair influencer I watch with loose natural hair. Just can't let you go Girl! Your content stays current and I love that!

Sweetmamarms: Hey Jenn love watching hair videos it’s relaxing especially with someone exciting like you love your channel keep up good work

Ameerah B: I love watching hair videos, they are definitely still my favorite thing to watch !!!

Christiana Underwood: Literally was just watching hair videos before this one. However I definitely watch them less frequently then before. Honestly I just watch whatever y'all post. I may have come for the hair content but stayed for the personalities. Congratulations on your career moves and getting married. :D

Quelsplace: I love the entire Camille Rose Coconut Water Line!! I really like the Curlmaker too, that's what I used on my last wng.

S'celo Chris Njapha: People start their natural hair journey all the time...so yes we still watch hair vids! Love your content Jenn! I get excited for your vids! No one does it quite like you! Love from South Africa!

Milokuhle Mdanyana: Me personally I still enjoy hair videos, they calm me when academics start hitting hard... More especially wash day videos

Twin Mom: Super chic and pretty. Yes, I still watch hair videos. I have learned a lot over the past 3 years, but hair videos relax me and ease my stress. And I alwaya love seeing the finished product. Plus, they help you too because as long as you're making hair videos you'll be taking care of your hair the way you should.

Shelby McDanDan: Totally binge on hair videos. I think it’s important for newbies. I feel there are always new eyes. Just like I just found you for the first time.

D H: Yes I absolutely still watch hair and wash day. Idk but they give sense of connection and actually feels encouraging to watch someone taking good care of their hair

Devyn: I love hair videos! I like to learn about improvements to routines, and hair styles. Because I still struggle with the midweek style after styling my hair at the beginning of the week.

Portia Grant: I still watch hair videos as a reminder of how to do styles I have not done in a while. I also like to watch them as a form of entertainment.

latanya winters: I love watching hair videos. It's so relaxing to me. Keep them coming.

Lyndsay Hale: YES, still enjoy watching hair videos. not so much for the information but for the relaxation so thank u for this!!

sheilaw1983: I watch hair styling or wig application videos and also Cyn Doll teaches about the science of hair so I watch her videos as well. She helped me get my hair routine on track and she is very knowledgeable. Other than that, I do not follow the dumb trends and stuff that youtubers post about because I know better now.

BlackBerryDiamond1: Lovely...I swooned when your final reveal popped up!! Very beautiful, hair, face and skin...very inspirational. TFS

ClassyWithIt: I just shaved off all my hair and still watch hair videos! Love your hair vids.

Ms Boro: I absolutely love watching hair videos. I'm increasingly upset that my favourites seem to be wanting to branch out and I'll need to find new people to subscribe to and watch.

Jeannine Gorden: I am a newer natural (I transitioned due to Rona) so I still watch videos regularly. I watch a wide variety of other content too.

Isabel Santana: Great to see you girl, love vibes sent for you

RaShonda Danielle: I’m growing my hair back and it for SURE will be on flat twists as soon as I get a bit more length.

Shenita Lobley: I still like watching hair videos. Especially someone like you who experiments. I like seeing people who have experienced a set back and watch them nurse their hair back to health.

I am typically more interested in random life updates/vlogs from my faves though than I am specifically in hair content. Yes, I love that flat twist style on you!

Latasha Pannell: Let me just say I am so happy to c u doing a styling video. U always did such beautiful styles and I missed it. Unequivocally yes! I still watch hair videos every day. I seek them out over vlogs, skincare, wig installs, and the like. I’ve been n the YT natural hair family for 2 1/2 yrs and learned soo much. I still learn things and I love that for me Keep um coming Mrs. Newlywed! Congratulations

Paula Lanton: I do still enjoy watching hair videos. Even though I feel like I’ve learned all there is to know, I still need a refresher. I enjoy silly cats A LOT!
