Hi friends, i'm amanda welcome back to my channel happy friday for those of you who are new here, i post a new video for you every friday morning. It is usually something beauty related or a product that i love or a designer piece that i either like, or i don't like, and i'm kind of tailoring my channel to things that you guys are liking, seeing that makes sense. Um, i'm not sure if you guys are familiar with that, but it is jen atkins hairline and if you don't know who jen atkin is, she is a very famous hairstylist she's, an entrepreneur. She wrote a book um called blowing my way to the top nice pun. On words um, but she's, considered to be one of the most influential hairdressers in the industry. She'S young she's, very hard-working she's, worked on people from the kardashians to chrissy, teigen she's, actually really good friends with chrissy teigen and she's very active on instagram, and i think that's nice, because you get to know her and that's what actually made me want to try Her products, because i work in a high-end salon, i have access to luxury shampoos and conditioners, but we don't sell her line and i just i wanted to try it um, so i bought it her instagram, so you guys know, is jen atkin, hair and i'll make Sure to leave that for you, and but i wanted to let you know that um when you go on the way website, o-u-a-i you pronounce it way, um and you're, not sure what you need like me. I wasn't sure um you can take their quiz so um. I took the quiz and i'll put it up here, for you guys you can just kind of see, but basically they start by asking like your hair density and thickness and what are your concerns and is it color treated and do you have a straightening treatment like A keratin or brazilian blowout the quiz is designed to help you find the best, shampoo and conditioner for you. So i you know, i'm not sure if you guys know, but my hair is it's fine, but i wouldn't say it's like super fine um. I would say it's kind of like medium in texture. I do have it heavily highlighted, as you can see, and my natural color is dark. Okay, i am a brunette as you can see, but i also have extensions in here just to like thicken out the bottom. So i have a pack of great length extensions in here if you guys are interested about my extensions or anything about like the process and how it works and how to do your hair with the extensions. Let me know in the comments below i'm thinking about doing um a video on them just answering questions, because i do get a lot of questions and a lot of people are surprised that i have extensions. I don't personally do them myself, but i've been getting extensions for like probably 10 years now, maybe more so i have a lot of knowledge and these are great lengths. So if you guys are interested in learning more about that, just let me know i can do a video on that for you as well, but also my hair is naturally wavy, which they do ask you. Is your hair curly wavy straight frizzy, so my hair tends to get frizzy in the summer because it is naturally wavy um, so it's harder to smooth out the way i got my hair like this. Is you know every day i blow it out and i actually use like a blow dry brush now and then i just kind of hit it with a um curling iron. Just you know just to give it a little like movement, it's very, very easy, but i wanted something um that i could use on my hair because it does have a lot of bleach. My hair is dry and i have extensions, so i just wanted something that would work for that. So i took the quiz and the quiz recommended that i get the medium, so this is it. This is the medium shampoo and the medium conditioner. I like it. Um i've been using it a little while i want to just redo the back, because i just find their language and the way they talk to their consumer kind of funny, and it kind of feels like you're talking to a friend so um it says, need a Glow up this hydrating shampoo, shampoo, nourishes with baba su and coconut oils, strengthens with keratin and adds shine with kumquat extract hair is left, shiny, silky and flirting. So you can update that profile picture. That'S kind of cute. I like that um, the shampoo and the conditioner. Both retail for 28 dollars now that's a pretty good price, i would say that's like middle of the road for a luxury, shampoo and conditioner. I also appreciated that the conditioner was the same amount of money as a shampoo a lot of the times. The conditioner is more money, i'm not sure why i'm assuming it's, because we probably go through our condition, our shampoos faster and we use less conditioner. I want to let you know with the conditioner. Let me read you what they say actually, because it's kind of funny says feeling out of control. This conditioner makes hair and life easier to manage promise, strengthening keratin, nourishing babasu and coconut oils with kumquat extract, leave, hair shiny silky and smooth hair. So good, you won't even notice that mercury is in retrograde. You guys right now. It is february 1st 2021 mercury is in retrograde right now. How funny and do you see what i mean about how she communicates with her consumer? It kind of feels like a friend is telling you how to wash your hair. I like that. The thing about this conditioner, which i also appreciate is you can apply, and you should apply it roots to ends a lot of conditioners. We say to apply midshaft and ends, but this conditioner is light enough that you can apply it roots to ends i'm on day, two of washing. So i washed my hair yesterday. It'S not greasy, it still has shine and movement, and i put the conditioner right up to the root. I take my wet brush and i kind of brush it through and leave it in for a couple minutes. While i do everything else in the shower, that's just typically what i do with conditioners and i don't feel like my hair gets dirty and flat, and i've tried other products where i've you know done what they say, and i don't like to wash my hair every Day like who has time for that, nobody, um and i've had to like be like. Oh, my hair is like dirty, so i've had to like pile it up with the dry shampoo. That is not the case with this line. I do feel like i've gotten a lot of movement out of here and probably not even going to shampoo. Tomorrow i mean tomorrow i may hit it with a little dry shampoo. I love her dry, shampoo too. Oh, my god. I love it and um i'll make sure to link that, and this in the description. Something else that i want to tell you about is. I think that this is a really good idea, um, especially if you're being environmentally friendly, when you want, when you're out of this okay, instead of just like going online or going to sephora and just ordering a whole nother container um, you can order the refill pouches And it's like a pouch and the pouch supposedly uses about 60 less plastic than the bottles, and just so you guys know, this is all recycled plastic as well the caps and this and it's recyclable. But it's such a good idea that if you just are going to need more shampoo conditioner to just order the pouch and fill it in your own bottle that you have um. The pouches are more money, they're 56, but you get more than one bottle full. So i thought that that was like a really good idea: um and just kind of nice, something else um the smell. I love the smell of this. It'S very light, it's very clean and they say that it is peony orange magnolia, musk jasmine. Those are the scents that are in here and i i like it. It smells clean and light and nice and it's not super strong something i will make note about with whey. Is they have um vitamins for thinning hair, which i think is like a really good idea? It'S a 90 day supply for 84., so that is really really good vitamins and collagen, and all of that is super important to take care of your hair. It does make a difference. You want to take um the vitamins and supplements consistently for about 90 days before you start to really see a result. You'Ll also notice it in your fingertips, your nails so really important. You know it's not just biotin there's a lot. That goes into it and i think that it's a really complete line because they're doing supplements. I also thought it was kind of funny because they have um, what's called a chill pill and what it is. It'S an adult bath bomb that retails for like 30. They came out with those during the whole quarantine and they're. You know people are taking baths and doing self-care, so those are 30 dollars. She has body oils. She has body creams, which are like 32 to 38 dollars um. She has perfume like a fragrance collection which matches the sense of certain things that she sells. If you love the scent - and i notice a lot of other lines, do that too, like i'm, a huge orbe fan, oribe now makes a perfume that smells like their products, because just the smell is so amazing. So i have to say that i was like really impressed with the gen atkin line and i would definitely recommend trying it. I love the appearance. I just think it is just so simple and beautiful. As you can see, i dropped this in the shower, but i just love the clean lines like the white and the black and the smell. You get a really good, um suds with this and i'm a huge fan. Now is this my most favorite shampoo in the world? No, i have yet to find something that i love more than oribe, i'm an oribe girl. I just love their shampoo and conditioner. My hair just feels amazing, but this, i would definitely say, is a close second. I probably like this more than caristas i'm a caristas fan too. This is right up there and it's a better price point than oribe 28 for shampoo 28 for conditioner. I would highly recommend it is safer, color treated, hair, safe for extension, safe for brazilian blowout, save for keratin, complex she's, thought of everything and she's amazing, and i just think if you guys want to support someone who's made it in the industry and is passionate about What they do - and you know it's worth - checking her out like i said her instagram - is at jen, atkin, hair, um, she's, really active, oh, and also this is safe for synthetic hair, um wigs, it's good for, like all sorts of stuff, so check it out the Websitestheway.Com and i will leave all the information for you guys below in the description.
