J E N N A W E I R XX

Hey everyone welcome back to my channel hope everyone's doing well, um. I know i'm going a bit stir crazy at the minute with lockdown, but i think the light is at the end of the tunnel and hopefully next week we will be back to the normal um yeah normal for 2020, really um, but yeah um during lockdown. I really got interested in taking care of my hair and the previous lockdown that started back in march. I wanted to make my hair stronger and grow it longer, while we were in lockdown um, so i did take a look at the two main shampoo and conditioners on the market that are actually really good for your hair and normally, i would just use like i Think it was usually like pantene before, especially people like me, who have dyed their hair multiple times. That is no good for you, um, so yeah. I am going to compare olaplex versus the way, um and i'll. Let you know which one i like the most um and if you don't know my name is jenna weir and thank you so much for clicking on my video remember to like comment and subscribe to my videos and channel and if you want you can follow me On instagram at underscore jenna.weir, where i'll post more regularly for photos of lifestyle, beauty and fashion all right, let's get started right, so i just wanted to give you a little background on my hair and i've been coloring. My hair, since i was like i don't know, i think, 18. um, and now i color it quite um. Often i go probably every three months just because i am going with a blonde color um, so i do have to top it up. So my hair, before trying any of these products was quite damaged, um wasn't shiny and it was getting quite frizzy which was not like my natural hair at all um. So that's why i decided to pick up the whey product first um and then i moved on to olaplex um right. So i'm going to be reviewing the shampoos first and the whey shampoo here, retails for 22, pound or 26 dollars and the olaplex number four bond maintenance, shampoo, retails for 26, pound or 28, and so there is a little bit more money to be spent on the Olaplex, however, the olaplex oops olaplex shampoo has 250 milliliters, which is 8.5 ounces, and the whey has 300 ml milliliters. So you are getting a bit more product in the olaplex and then the way and the packaging. It'S not a huge deal for shampoo, because it's really the product that you want, but if you were to choose um for packaging, i think i would go with the whey. I just like how it's quite sleek and modern um. The olaplex just kind of looks a bit like i don't know you got a hair salon and that's kind of like that's kind of what it is though, and you're using this. But um yeah packaging wise way is nicer to look at i'll. Read you the back of both products, i'll start with whey, so the whey is the fine shampoo, and this is what it says it will do. It says this shampoo brings life into fine flat hair with strengthening keratin biotin, nourishing hemp extract and chia seed. Oil hair is left, clean, bouncy and full of volume. So you can finally be fine with being fine. So that's what this product says. It will do um. So it does have quite a few good ingredients in there like keratin and biotin, which is really good for strengthening and growing your hair um and then also with the nourishing hemp extract and chia seed oil. I'M sure that's really good to make your hair shiny and just look nicer. So that's what way says it will do and then olaplex says formulated with patented olaplex bond building chemistry, restores repairs and hydrates to add incredible, shine and manageability. Every time you shampoo it's made without sulfates, parabens or gluten, it's vegan and color safe. So a few things that stand out to me with this one, it's color safe, which is definitely what um i like, because you spend a lot of money on getting your hair done and colored, and then you end up just ruining it with your shampoo. So it's good to see it's color safe. It also has no sulfates or parabens, which is really really really good for your hair and for its growth. If you keep adding different chemicals and stuff into your hair, it's just going to build up and your hair will not grow, and so it's nice to see that that's what it says on here as well for shampoos, i like to wash my hair twice um. The first one, the first wash is more of like getting rid of all the product, the grease the dirt um. And then the next washes to like actually make it clean um and give it a bit of a lather. Because if it's a good shampoo, it shouldn't lather on the first one um yeah just shouldn't, i'm not really sure why but yeah it shouldn't lather and they both do not um but yeah. With the way i have to use more product. It'S just a bit more thinner, a substance than the olaplex. The olaplex is more of like a thicker and creamier texture and so yeah. The way you need to use more product which isn't good because it's also small, so i went through it a bit faster than i did with the olaplex between both of the products this one, the smell of it, smells like to me personally, like a retirement home Um, it's like a floral stale, perfume. I don't like it. I don't like the smell of it. I try to like it um because everybody raves about the smell and how nice it is and all that, but i do not like the smell it. Just yeah it just does not does not make me feel clean, um the olaplex. It doesn't really have much of a smell it's more of a clean subdued kind of smell. It'S not in your face and, like i said it just makes you feel clean and like that you've washed, your hair um, so yeah, that's the difference between those and personally i did buy the whey shampoo first um when i first started uh buying shampoos that were A bit more money, i had really high expectations for it and, unfortunately, it's not for me. It made my hair really knotted and tingly um, even more so than it did with the drugstore shampoos. Um, i'm assuming maybe because it's fine hair and it wants to add volume um. Maybe that's why my hair got really knotted, i'm not too sure um, so that complete and with the smell i just thought nah. This is not for me um. I managed to have like that much to the bottom. I wanted to use it. I wanted to like it and but i just yeah not for me um yeah. What else can i say it just didn't work um. So i moved on to olaplex and i literally cannot think of any other shampoo better than this one um. It is definitely worth the hype. I think it has made my hair grow. It is so much more shinier and it just feels so so soft, like my hair, i know it has all the bleach and dyes in it, but when i wash my hair with the shampoo, it just feels so soft and just so clean. I love it like. Definitely worth the money definitely worth the hype um. If i had to pick between them, both, you obviously know which one i'd go for it would be the olaplex and yeah, so that is the winner between the shampoo right moving on to the conditioners and the whey retails for uh, 22, pound or 26 dollars. The same as the shampoo same, the olaplex retails for 26, pound or 28, so they're the same price as the shampoo and the bottles are the exact same kind of as the uh shampoo. The whey is uh, not see-through anymore. It'S just a bit more sleeker products. Same amount, same price, same amount in them as the shampoo, but now they're, just the conditioner and the smells are the exact same. As the shampoo and i like i said, i don't like the smell of the whey um and the olaplex is smells a bit cleaner and nicer and like they're, pretty much for the texture of them, like the olapex is quite creamy and gooey, and the whey is More just a creamy there's not really much gooey to i don't know how to explain it, but it's not as thick as the olaplex and so yeah when they're used together with the shampoo they're supposed to complete the full look. I don't know. I guess, because i like the shampoo of olaplex, i like the conditioner better and so yeah. The winner is the olaplex. So, as you can probably tell my pick between the shampoos is definitely the olaplex and definitely definitely worth the money, and it's definitely worth investing into um. It lasts such a long time and as well. It also makes your hair last a bit longer between shampoos. Like i said, i wash my hair twice a week and i used to be washing my hair every every single day in high school, which was, i don't even know how i did that um. Then i moved on to washington every other day and i just found it got really greasy um and then, when i invested in olaplex, my hair now can go like four or five days and it looks just as good as it did at the beginning other than Like a little bit of dry shampoo near the end and but yeah definitely worth the money um, definitely if you're thinking about purchasing olaplex or whey um for me personally, olaplex is definitely the winner between both of them and as well. I just think it smells cleaner. The whey is way too overpowering and it just smells really florally. I don't like it hope. This has cleared up your thoughts. If you were gon na buy either or i know they are a bit of money, but it is worth it definitely um so yeah. I hope you liked my video today and let me know if you have any questions about either of them, that i didn't review with you and i'll definitely help you out with that um as well. If you did like my video, can you please like it and remember to subscribe and yeah? I hope you have a great week and i will see you next sunday bye

Fabsileini: I honestly love both of them! I switch back and forth between olaplex and the medium shampoo and conditioner

Elizabeth Beighley: I actually swapped from the olaplex shampoo/conditioner to the Ouai brand, lol. There wasn’t anything that I disliked from the Olaplex, but just prefer the Ouai so much more.

J N: This video was informative, but I feel confused at the point where you state you get more bang for your buck with Olaplex? Olaplex is more expensive than Ouai and contains less product than Ouai. Olaplex is £26 for 250ml. Ouai is £22 for 300 ml.

Debbie Gowland: I totally agree with you! I ❤️ Olaplex too! Great video!

Marina Miramontes: I love the smell but it’s her opinion. I bought the whole Quai line you’ll smell and feel like a million dollars!

Stella S.: I'm obsessed with Ouai products and love the smell. Needs and opinions are different

Danae 🌻💭: This is exactly the review I needed omg, thank you!!

Christina: Love this review and your hair is so beautiful!question: does this shampoo foam a lot or doesn’t it do that at all? I like a shampoo that does have foam bubbles but i’ve heard that this one doesn’t havr that :(

Kalista: Se agradecen los subtítulos en Español , buen vídeo, un saludo.

User Name Here: I’m with you. Can’t stand the old lady perfumy scents. Oleplex shampoo is leaving my thick hair so weighed down and greasy. I don’t underhand why I’m not getting the same results as everyone else :(

Dorothy Lisbon: I recommend you research fortified shampoo for fast hair growth.

roxayne: Olaplex is too pricey at my location, any others besides ouai?

Nnenna: How's 300 ml less than 250 ml? It should be the other way around

Cindy Ipuz: What I see is that Ouai is more for natural hair, My hair is not as processed as yours. So for me Oraplex is too harsh, but for you it seems to work because your hair looks super processed.

Jessica: I thought I liked the smell , bought it, it smells like an older woman, like an old woman

Melanie Sawickyj: ❤️ Olaplex & ❤️ You

XSam RX: Hey hun I really can’t pick up your accent? Where are you from? I’m from the UK and it seems you have a mix of British and American combined. It’s really interesting

Conor Weir: Who’d have known
