L Rajic: After shampoo, you need to clarify your hair about once a month, put 1 teaspoon baking soda in 1 cup warm water, stir. While hair is wet, pour over the baking soda water, gently massage in, rinse. This removes shampoo build up You may substitute vinegar for baking soda (also 1 cup water). Always follow with conditioner.

Traci Goode: No one needs to do what anyone says is good for you but if you don’t want to change ur shampoo constantly, ur hair just reacts badly to washing it often, or your hair ends up damaged and oily very often then consider switching to silicone free products. It won’t cause the build up, you tend to not use as much product and it will leave ur hair amazing for days after washing.
