What is up boss babes welcome back to another video. If it is your first time here, my name is Jasmine, the x is silence and Anya is pronounced, like Kanye. Without the K in today's video we are going to be talking about hair businesses and when I say, hair businesses, I mean any business, that's selling bundles, wigs anything along those lines and what y'all need to stop doing if you want it to be successful in 2023, 2024 and just moving forward okay, so I continue to see these mistakes being made and y'all it's time we put stop to it. Okay, so that's the reason why we're here today now whether your goal is to make ten thousand dollars a month, a hundred thousand dollars a month, a million dollars a month, 10 million dollars a month, whatever is possible. So let's start there. If y'all have any doubts, we need to just remove those before we even dive in so if you do have a hair, business or you're contemplating on starting one, then I'm pretty sure you are already familiar with the big dogs in the industry and that's great, but Y'All need to start paying close attention to what the big dogs are doing. So the first mistake that y'all got ta put a stop to ASAP is solely focusing on Instagram to Market your business. Now I'm not gon na get too deep in this, because if you're new here, you may not know but the ogs know, I've been talking about Instagram and the downfall of Instagram for the past three years. Instagram is not where you want to Market your business. If you are a new business starting out, don't do it don't waste your time. There are other platforms that will be wonderful for your business and I'm about to tell y'all a few. So the first one I suggest you Market your hair business, yes Market, your hair business on, if you solely want to upload photos or mainly or mostly photos with a little bit of videos, is Pinterest a lot of people sleep on Pinterest, but Pinterest is a gold Mine y'all, it's a gold mine people, use Pinterest every day and there's not a lot of businesses on Pinterest. So, therefore, your competition is extremely low and your reach potential is extremely high to get in front of your customers. Now I mentioned Pinterest, because that is where we go to get hair ideas, outfit ideas, decor ideas, all the time you have businesses that are leveraging Pinterest, getting hundreds of thousands of views a month just from posting a couple times a week are y'all hearing me. Okay, so to get Instagram, I said it. I meant it forget, Instagram get on Pinterest. If you want to post mostly images now, it may take you a while to grow this, but they also offer ads that you can put on your Pinterest account as well to just kind of boost that up quickly. The next platform I suggest y'all get on ASAP. If you more so want to do, videos is Tick, Tock and YouTube YouTube YouTube YouTube. Now I think everybody should start a YouTube channel. I don't care what you do, what your business is, but today we're talking about hair business, so I'm gon na stick with that. If you take a look at these Tick, Tock accounts, they are killing it and the opportunity that you have for organic reach. It'S just creme de La Creme right now, y'all, so the difference between Tick, Tock and YouTube is Tick. Tock is going to be your short form content. So if you have shorter videos, more aesthetic videos and YouTube is going to be your long form content. I suggest y'all do both so take a long, video cut it up into different tick, tocks and then also put that video on YouTube. You can even utilize the YouTube shorts first and foremost y'all. Let Instagram go if you starting a business. Let it go, Let it go. I view Instagram simply as a lookbook and a lookbook. Only I'm there to run my ass and get up out of there. That'S it y'all, and if you don't have the budget to run ads, Instagram is not the place. You want to begin your hair business Journey moving forward. The next thing y'all want to do if you want to make it in 2023 and moving forward, is stop trying to sell every single product that your vendor has to offer. Too often, I see people go by all this inventory, so they're selling straight bundles, curly, bundles wavy, bundles closures, frontals, wigs and they're, not selling anything they're, barely making sales and I'm gon na tell y'all a secret. There is a way around that and that way is to Niche down. This is a secret that I hope, don't go over your head, but Niche down and focus on a particular pain points or a desired. Look. If you caught my video from The Big Bang business Series where I covered hair businesses on episode one, I presented an example of this exact thing with the curl candy. So if y'all learn familiar Pearl, Candy is a hair brand that focuses only on curly hair. So they have all different types of curly hairs from wavy to curlier more coily more loose, but that is all that they serve curly hair and they are killing it because people know that this is my desired look. So when I'm thinking about hmm, what should I go for curly, hair, curl, candy comes to mind time. You guys can do that same thing. It'S going to save you a lot of time. It'S gon na save you a lot of money and it's going to help. You get in front of exactly who you want to get in front of so curl candy is focusing on a desired look, you can Niche down and do that or you can also niece down and focus on a particular pain point and that's how you Market your Business, this could look like something as simple as only offering more natural looking wigs for the everyday woman that works a nine to five corporate job, or this could look like selling just short wigs for a woman who has long hair, but also like to rock a Short style every once in a while, so you're now niching down and targeting someone with a particular pain point or a desired look. Hopefully, y'all picked up what I just put down, because I'm telling you this will make all the difference. If you're trying to enter a market where you already have people that are more established and already have loyal customers, you are going to do yourself a disservice, because you didn't take the time out to figure out what is going to be your purple cow. And if you know what a purple cow is, can y'all put some purple hearts in the chat if you're not new here, if you're OG you've heard me say that before Purple Cow, I'm your purple cow y'all. The next thing I want to see y'all absolutely break free from moving forward, is solely relying on your social media. Followers for sales, y'all, there's so many ways to Market outside of social media. But even if you are utilizing social media, you have got to stop relying on the people who follow you for sales and sales. Only you have got to put together a marketing plan. How are we reaching people organically and pay and if it is organically, if you don't have followers, how else are you reaching those people, so I'm gon na give y'all a few ideas, because I know you're like okay, but I don't know how to do that jazz. I got you so we're gon na run. Through these you have email, marketing, SMS marketing, yes, they're different referral programs, affiliate programs - yes they're different paid advertisement, of course, focusing in on your SEO. So that's your website, optimization. You could pay for guest blog posts and you can also do some in-person events. So that's just a few hopefully y'all got that, but you really really really really really don't want to rely on just getting sales from people who follow you a lot of the times. For one, your followers aren't seeing your post for two just because they follow, you doesn't mean that they're necessarily ready to purchase. Quite yet you may not have convinced them enough, so you have got to really diversify your marketing strategies. Now, before I tell you the last two, if you are new to hair business, or you just really want more sales, I put together some resources just for y'all on my website. Y'All can check it out in the description because I know y'all be needing some help and I'm trying to come out with more tools and more products specifically for my hair business girlies, because I see the emails, I see the 10 comments. I see the DMs. I got y'all, so the next thing y'all got to stop doing moving forward is not investing in your branding. I cannot stress this enough. Y'All are already going into a market, that's heavily saturated now. Does that mean anything? It just means you got to be more strategic. A little finessing, so I always say people, that's starting a hair business now are the boldest people. I know I love y'all y'all have a lot of Courage. This is a heavily saturated Market. That doesn't mean you can't succeed. You absolutely can, however, when you enter a heavily saturated Market, you have got to come in swinging, you cannot come in then average. You cannot come in be in mid. You cannot come in looking like an amateur. You have got to have all your ducks in a row and too often y'all are not investing in your branding. There is absolutely no cohesiveness across your channels at all, y'all got ta. Stop that everything needs to look professional. Everything needs to be branded and look like there was some thought put into it and a lot of times y'all be wondering. Why am I getting all of this traffic to my website, but nobody's buying people are coming because, however, your driving traffic is working. However, they're not staying around and spending their money because they don't trust you enough and I can guarantee after looking at so many websites is because you are not in investing in your branding or something wrong to check out one of the now. The last thing, y'all absolutely have to focus on make some changes and improving moving forward is putting funnels in place. If you don't know what a funnel is, I'm gon na link a video that I have on my channel where I broke it down. In a simplest simplest terms, so you can understand what funnels are they're so important and you're going to have multiple funnels, depending on how you're driving traffic to your ideal customer. But when you guys don't take the time out to build a profitable, proper funnel you are leaving money on the table. So if, at any moment anything that I even said during this video confused, you or you were just kind of lost on you've, got to take the time out and educate yourself on that particular thing. Whether it's marketing channels funnels branding, you are trying to become a business owner. You got to know this stuff, okay, but if y'all do have any questions feel free to comment down below, and I will answer as many as I possibly we can now again y'all. I have resources specifically for hair business owners to help you out with your branding and to help you out with your marketing and that's in the descriptions. I will see you on my next one and I hope y'all listen to me and what I said and make some improvements. So we could get this money in 2023 and moving forward. I love y'all and I will see you on my next video
