Hola everybody welcome back to my channel. If you are new here, my name is maria nelly and i do curly videos and some beauty videos as well. I hope that everyone is doing fine and staying healthy, and i know i say that in every video, but i do really mean it: i'm staying healthy, stay home and just stay safe out there. So before we get into this video guys, if you are not subscribed to my channel, please make sure you subscribe to my channel also hit that bell notification, so you get notified every time. I upload a video right now, i'm doing once a week, um aiming for more, but so far once a week is working for my schedule. Also, you guys can follow me on instagram. I'M gon na leave my instagram link down below, so you guys can just click. It and go follow me so in today's video, i'm pretty excited for this video i've been wanting to really do this video and compare both of these combs. So today we're going to be comparing uh two demon brushes um. These are my two denman brushes um. I have the d4 and the d3. This one has been my first. This one was my first demo brush i've ever owned um. I have mentioned this one on my channel before. Oh, this is the d3. So this one here is uh the d3 and this one has a nine roll of bristles um yeah. So, like i said this has been my very first burp. This was my very first demon brush and then i purchased the d3, which is this one. So this is the d4, and this is the d3. This one has seven rows of bristles and the only reason why i purchased this one was because of the color. This is my favorite color. This is a this is called the violet african violet um denman brush because of the color um. I got this one off amazon. I will link it down below um. I couldn't find it last time it was out of stock, so i'll try to look for the link and link it down. If you guys are interested in purchasing this color um but yeah, and then it was good because this is actually a seven row bristle. So i don't know what the difference is. I went on demon.com to check out what uh the description for the combs are and both of these combs fall in the curly category. They are both for curls uh for curl definition. The only thing that for the d4, it does say that it is for longer curls for long hair, um, that's pretty much it. It doesn't say anything else that you'll get more definition or anything like that. It just says that it is for smoothing longer curls, but for some reason i feel like with the d3 i get more koi, i get more ringlets for some reason i don't know. Maybe i'm wrong. I don't know um, but i do feel like that is happening. I don't know so i really wanted to test it. I really wanted to compare them both on my hair at the same time, so i'm going to be doing half and half to compare both of these brushes um a little um style before i use the denim brush before i purchase this denman brush. I did not use a comb at all. I would always use my fingers to detangle and also to style, and i did that for a couple years and when i made a couple years, i did that for like since i started my curly journey. I didn't want to break my curls, so that's why i didn't use a comb um, so i would only use my fingers to style into the tangle to this day. I still use my fingers to detangle, but i do always use my denman brush for styling. Like my denman brush uh ever since i tried it ever since i actually figured out how to use my demo brush. That'S all i use all the time when i first purchased the denim brush. I did not like the first time. I used it because i used it completely wrong. Um i had the definition of the curls, but i had no volume. My hair was just laying flat so then to finally, i saw on instagram people started to use it. I started to see how people did how other people used it and then i used it and ever since i just i i can't stop. I use it all the time to style my hair now but yeah. So i completely love my brushes um. If you are wondering, if you maybe want to purchase a denim brush - and you guys um, don't know which one to get the d3 or the d4 well um, hopefully this video helps you guys out to determine that, but yeah. So don't think that these brushes are detangling. They are not made for detangling, they are made for styling um, but yeah. I tried one time and it was bad news. So don't do that guys. Don'T do not try it. I washed my hair today i clarified and um yeah. I have not washed my hair in about four days. I usually go. I push it up to four days so today, so my hair is pretty. Actually it's not damp. I need to wet it more. So i'm going to wet it a little more um, i don't style my hair soaking wet. If you guys have not seen my let it my latest youtube video um, i will link it up. If i talk about all about my hair, my hair porosity, my hair texture, my curl pattern and my hair density, if you guys, are confused about your hair and want to learn more about your curly hair, i will link my video, so you guys can see it And probably learn something different about something new about your curls. I am low porosity hair, so i've been styling my hair damp. I don't like soaking dripping wet hair. I'Ve done it before it does great. It does work great, but it takes forever for my hair to dry. So i'm going to be parting, my hair to style and to compare to compare both of these brushes. So on my left side, which is your right side, i'm going to be using the d4 brush, which is the nine bristles and on my right side, which is your left side um, i'm gon na be using the d3 uh yeah, so i'm gon na be using The d3 on this side, i don't usually style my hair with a middle part um, but for today i'm going to be doing that. Obviously, so i have not done my hair mask. This is my second week that i have not done a deep hydrating mask uh. So therefore, i'm i am going to apply um a leave-in spray and today i'm going to be using the lisa curls uh refreshing the tangle spray. This is also a leave-in conditioner, so you guys can use this one as a leave-in conditioner. I'Ve been using this one guys and i've been loving it so far. Amazing, i love the smell on it. I love it because it's not overpowering, it's like it's really. I don't know it's really natural, it's just it's! I like it. So the only thing about uh leave-in sprays - i don't really like when um a leave-in conditioner comes in the spray bottle. I don't know i just feel like it gets everywhere um. So this one i feel like what works for me is uh spraying. It on my hand, really close to my hand like so um, just because i feel like the product gets all over the place. The spray is it's good, though um. So if you do purchase this yeah, i suggest for you guys to keep this um spray and just add water and keep it because the mist is really good. I just don't feel like it's good for the uh leave-in, so yeah, i'm gon na apply this much, and this leave-in leaves my hair so soft, it's so bomb and then i'm going to be applying my curl, my curl cream, and today i'm going to be using The salon, graphics, um, crow power cream - i've been really loving, this leave-in cream, it's a nourishing, curl cream. It says, define and shine weightless hydration, coconut oil and shea butter. So if you saw my video, my latest video talk about me talking about coconut and shea butter being um heavier products for low porosity, hair, um and you're like this one has it. Why are you putting it on your hair? Well, i also did say to look at the backless ingredients and to look where those heavier products fall in the in the ingredients. So if you guys uh read your ingredient list on this one, those two products are the last products to be added on this cream. There, therefore, it does have very small percentage of it, so i can get away with it with my low porosity hair. By the way, this one smells so fire guys like this. One smells like straight up like a salon like when you walk into a nice bomb salon, that's what it um what this smells like so put together with my riso clothes and this one the smell. Oh, my gosh, it is a bomb, so i'm gon na put this side up in a bun um to keep its moisture. While i work on the other side of my head - oh my god guys, if you guys don't follow jlo. She posted a picture. Last night of um, this bomb hairstyle she had on with two buns. Oh my gosh, she looks so bomb i'll post a picture, so you guys can see it um. I love the hairstyle. It looks so good on her. She rocks basically anything anything she puts on. She rocks it like a goddess, so um. I do have a video explaining exactly how i use my denim brush. I will link it up if you guys are interested in watching that um, because i do get a lot of people asking me how i brush my hair, how i style my hair with the denman brush. So i will link it up, but i will give you guys a little quick recap on how i do it: okay, so guys what i believe um, how to use the demo brush from my own pre from my own results and how i do my hair. I'Ve seen that if you get the small, if you get the smaller the section of hair, the more ringlets you're gon na get in that section, um and the bigger the section of hair you comb, you're gon na get bigger ringlets here at the bottom. I try to get small sections um just to give me more ringlets, so basically how i comb my hair is um. You don't want to comb your hair down because you want definition. I mean you want volume, i'm sorry so for volume comb, your hair away from your face. Um this way, the rule, it's going to lift the rule and you're going to give volume. If you comb down, like, i did my first time using the denman brush you're, going to get flat, curls you're gon na get the definition, but you're gon na get really fat flat curls if you guys are going for that, then go ahead and try it. But as for me, i always like volume um. So i just brush up, i kind of like go up and then pretend like you're you're, gon na be using scissors to do like a a a what's. It called a um a ribbon and bring it down. The denman brush is great because of its curve, so it helps you curve, your curl, i curl it like so and then give it a little shake. Let me show you guys again, so comb from underneath um bring it down, give it a little curve shake. I shake this, so the so the strands can get loose and create that ringlet. So then i scrunch up, so you see how my root is already lifted. That'S because i'm combing away from my hair, this is gon na help me get the most volume out of my hair. So then i scrunch up, i feel, like my hair - needs a little more hydration okay. So this is what i'm gon na be doing. I'M gon na um kind of like fast forward for you guys, so you guys can check. So you guys can see how i do my own hair but yeah. I just do small sections. It just works the best for me so here on my head. I so here at the crown of my head um, i start doing kind of like a a rectangle, so i start here and then at the bottom um. So you see how i'm doing it i go from here and then the bottom. So i'm gon na go back up here and do this section um. I just feel like this gives me the most volume um just by set the way i'm sectioning my hair and um combing it, and so that's why, if you guys want um definition, i if you guys struggle with volume, i would suggest you guys do your um. You comb your hair in very small sections and pull that hair up. Okay. This will give you this will help you guys for volume. So this is how i do it. You see okay, so this is what my hair looks like now: um pretty much defined with the denman brush. Like i said, i used on this side um the d four. I get a lot of cross um separation and, as you can see, um already, having definition um so for the hold for today, because i want a really strong hold a stronghold gel to hold my curls. So you guys can really see the definition of the curls. I'M going to be using today the we dad advanced climate control stronghold gel. I really really love this stronghold gel. If you guys are looking for a stronghold gel. I really recommend this one. This one holds your curls with that it does give you a small cast, but you can always break it off with um some type of oil, but i really really love this one um. This will have your curls lasting up for like three days with a lot of definition, so i really love. This is one of my favorite uh gels. Ever since i used it, i completely fell in love with it. Um yeah, and this is a very runny. It'S like a glazey um, it's a glazey gel, so yeah. So what i do at the end after i style is um, rub it on my hands, obviously and scrunch up lightly. I don't want to give my curls any frizz. I just rub them just try to coat all of my curls to give it a strong hold for the d3s side. I'M gon na do exactly the same thing. I'M gon na start off with the small section at the bottom. Like i said okay, so i want to show you guys the difference with this. I want to show you guys how much definition this gives me like the difference of ringlets, so you see how this brush gives me already like so much separation. Like i don't know, if it's just me, you see that i feel like it's it's the brush. I don't know if it's just me or am i seeing things okay guys, so i'm done brushing both sides. I have not put gel on this side, yet i'm gon na put some right now um, but, as you guys can see, i don't know if you guys see any difference um i don't know yet like, but yeah guys, i'm gon na go diffuse now and i'm Gon na come back um when, once my hair is completely dry to show you guys what it looks like if there's a difference on definition or anything like that, uh so yeah see what you guys think, but yeah. So my hair is now completely dry um. As you guys can see, okay, so i'm gon na bring you guys. I'M gon na get a little close up, so you guys can see my what my hair is looking like. I don't know if there's a difference. Um, like i said um, i have not fluffed my hair out. That'S why it still looks like a little like dry. I mean a little wet because i haven't put any oils on there. Um, the weed that uh stronghold gel basically just holds your curls in place until you break them off. With i mean till you break off the caps with the with oil. So that's why i really like this one, because it just keeps your curls it just it. Just holds them so okay, so i'm gon na bring you close up. So remember. On this side we used the d4 um. I usually have more the curliest curls down here, so you guys see all these little curls i have down here and on this side we i used the d3, where i said i feel like this one gives me the most ringlets um. I have a big one here. I'M gon na have ringlets down here, so you guys can see. I don't know what do you guys think about this now, comparing them side to side, i feel like there's really not a difference in both combs um. I don't know. What'S the reason for having a nine row and a seven row um but yeah, i just feel like they're kind of the same um, i'm gon na fluff out my hair, i'm gon na put some oil. I'Ve been using an oil that i'm gon na be reviewing for you guys at the end of the month, um so yeah, i'm gon na put that oil to break the cast. I'Ve been really liking, it um. So i can't wait for you. I can't wait to share it with you guys, um but yeah, and then i'm gon na fluff it out a little bit and just style it all right guys. So this is what my hair looks like fluffed out, um. Basically, what i do to fluff it out. I just uh scrunch up the cast and just get them a little move them around, so they can get separated, so they can separate a little bit um. I don't use a pick. I want to use a pick, i'm kind of scared, but um because, like i said, i already have a lot of hair, so i mean i like some volume, not huge volume, even though i have seen jasmine's brown hair with a lot of volume and she looks Gorgeous i love how she looks um, but i don't know if i can pull that off um but yeah. So to me this is like the most volume i'll get probably get a little bit more um later on throughout throughout the day, but um yeah um. This is what i like uh. This is basically all my hair. What my hair looks like, but yeah guys. Let me know what you guys think um. Is it necessary to get two of these to get the d4 and the d3 um honestly, i feel like it's. Not i feel like now that i can see them both side by side side by side. I feel like they both really gave me the same definition. I don't see a difference, a huge difference, um so yeah. If you were thinking of buying a diamond brush um, i hope this video helped you guys out to determine if you guys really need another demo brush or if you want to purchase whichever one like. I said the only reason why i purchased this one was because of the color and then getting the seven row. Bristle was a plus but yeah guys. So thank you so much for watching. If you guys like this video, please give it a thumbs up and if you're not subscribed to my channel, do not forget to subscribe to my channel and, like i said you guys, can follow me on instagram. I'M usually posting more pictures about my hair. If you guys are interested in seeing that, so thank you so much for watching and i hope you guys are back to my next video bye, guys

sinaloa818: Hi! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge for us new beginners who are just getting to learn how to care for our curls. Question, what did you use to break the cast from the gel? You did mention it should be an oil but what oils do you recommend?

Nicole R.: With the 9 row brush, you could always remove 2 rows to get the 7 row. The D4 brush is like having 2 brushes in one. Why spend $40 on two different brushes, when u can buy one for $20 and remove rows if you want to? I just ordered the D4 Denman brush for this reason. Can't wait to receive it and try it out!!

Jesse Smith: Great video - very helpful. As a 2b, I'm going to get the D3 brush. Your hair is beautiful.

Miss Kay: Manes by Mell vibes for sure she's a great curly creator. Super grateful you posted a comparison on these brushes! Your hair is stunning regardless

aurora: This was so incredibly helpful, thanks so much! I'll give my brush a second try as I hated the first-time result and never wanted to touch it again lol

Cindy N: I don't see a difference either. You're hair looks the same (amazing) on both sides. Thanks for doing the test though ... I was wondering the same thing when I was trying to choose the Denman brush to buy (I ended up with the 7 row). Glad to know it wouldn't have made a difference. :)

360 Revolucion: I found two similar brushes to the Denman brushes at Daiso (Japanese dollar store). One brush with seven rolls of bristles & similar color scheme and the other slightly different (color and material of the handle). I know they have Daiso stores in L.A. & I was wondering if you could do a review on the Daiso brushes? Since I'm still learning how to do & care for my hair my hair results using the brushes would not be optimal & it would sort of be false results therefore unfair for the brushes potential. I'm not sure if the brushes work correctly or not or if it's just me still learning. If that makes any sense? I hope you can find the brushes at Daiso and review them. Most products we use are made in China, these are Japanese so the name brand on the label doesn't always make a difference besides the increase in the retail asking price.

Tezla Celaya: I tried my best to see the hair, I believe the D4 gave great coiled curls but gave more volume and the D3 was more coil curls than volume and etc.

Elizabeth Scoble: Wearing a black/dark coloured top makes it difficult to see yours curls, maybe try a lighter top? Great looking curls though

Yara Alameddine: I absolutely love your curls. I found your videos randomly on youtube and I watched a bunch and I subscribed. Your curl type is the same as mine!

Nicole R.: Thanks for the video! I think I'll buy the 9 row brush and if I want to drop to the 7, I'll just remove 2 rows. Thanks again!

Elizabeth M.: You’re hair looks amazing! I need to buy this brush for my daughter & I.

Ânâ Lūcía: I can kind of see the difference… the d4 side made your curls a bit more coily. The ends on the d3 are a little more “stretched out” but it could just be my eyes lol either way looks amazing

Shaylee Trevil: I don't see a difference either but your curls are so beautiful I think maybe its better to get a D4 bc you can remove some bricells so u can make a D3 but very nice video I like how u explain everything so good❤

olivia: i'm so happy it makes no difference cuz the 7 row is £9 so its more expensive than the 9 row in the UK and i couldn't find the 9 row anywhere but i finally found a ton of 9 rows in tkmaxx yesterday for only £5 but i wasnt sure what the difference was so i'm defo getting it now

kim smeets: have you experimented with taking out some Rowes on the brush? I read that that also might affect the curls

Fardowsa Yasin: Loved the video. I’ll definitely be purchasing the D3. This is off topic but I love your watch! Where is it from?

Lin: I have 2b/c hair and it's extremely fine. Would a 5 row be better for my hair or a 7 row?

Moomoo: What do you think about the D31/41 brush? I know those are for detangling but do you know if they sculpt curls too? I have long and fine 2C/3A curls. I really want to define them but they get realy tangly sometimes too. Should I get the Denman detangler and the D4 brush? Thank you!!

Berchy Zgb: Amazing curls, and not that you don't already, but I think you would look incredible with a lot of volume, I don't know why you think you couldn't pull it off like Mell says from Manes by Mell, the bigger the hair, the harder they stare

Chablee Peterson: Can’t wait to use the brush on my channel... love it

Karine Hovsepyan: I’ll buy the demon brush after watching this video, thank u Your hair is amazing

Soul Magical Michele: My guess is 9 vs 7 is more about people taking out rows but I'm not sure. As a wavy, I struggle with the brush.

Jovanna Whalen: Your hair is beautiful. This was a great video. What oil is it that you used in the end?

Elyse Ladouceur: Sis don’t worry about your shirt having been black, I’m severely hard of seeing and I can see your curls no problem ❤️❤️ anyone saying different is trippin or hatin! Your curls and this video is amazing and very informative!

Jose Contreras: You are very knowledgeable and your hair is testimony of it. Both sides look great. May I suggest that you edit your videos to make them shorter and to the point

Penny Ranan: Your hair is simply stunning !

Jasmin Ortiz: What hair products did u use. Love the curls

Menti 2211: Is the 5 row one also good?

Simone W. Morton: You needed a contrasting top for us to see and compare better. Both sides turned out nice.

DIANA FERRERAS: Is that brush is authentic? I was looking at this one on amazon but I read the reviews saying it’s fake but I’m thinking of getting it since your hair came so beautiful.

Johanna Hernandez: Queen of ummmm lol Love your hair. D4 side looks fuller actually. I guess it depends on styling preference.

Rocio Medina: A 7 row brush is for curls that are 3b . A 9 row is best for curlier hair !

YsabellaSkyy: Love your channel!!!❤️❤️

Crmn: Can I ask why you put the gel on after and not while combing it in sections.? Is it better to do it after defining the curls.?

Nicole R.: Wouldn't it be better to put ur gel on first? I thought one of the main reasons to use the Denman brush was to distribute products??

The.Penthouse --- Barre: Hey!Hey! BOMB ❗Try as I might, I can not get used to using My D3 the 7 Row, I just struggle every time I try to use it ⁉️ Oh!!! I JUST LOVE THE "FREESTYLE " VIBE YOU HAVE Oh yeah ❗BOMB Go on ❗XS

Meltem H.: Black hair and black t-shirt was a bad decision because it's hard to see anything, but still thanks for the video

Tim Rose: *_Hey there my friend! I saw you in Cathrin's comments section and thought I'd stop by and say hi! Wishing you tons of success and blessings on your YouTube journey! ^_^_*

alex: if u cant see the curls, u should use a laptop. i can determine how they look with it. also ur curls looks great!

tannia cardenas: Almost at 2k ! Keep it up !

Mary Sykes: I can't really tell you should have used a different blouse a lighter color because The blouse you have now plans with your dark hair color but your hair looks gorgeous but I can see but I can't see the difference of it because of your blouse

Buy Sell Call Yenel: having to watch over 10 mins on a video that is a brush comparison to actually get to that part is not good

Mamma Bear: I thought you wrap your hair around the handle? I guess everyone does it different

ceren yılmaz: Im a stranger I was undiceded I have dyed and permed long hair do you think I should buy denman brush d3 or d4?

Ashley Bisessar: i want to get a danmen brush but idk what D4 or d3 is can you tell me?

Carmen M. Rivera Colón: EZ detangler brush or dupe is better than Denman

Awilda Jimenez: Very pretty.

Keisha M: You kept mixing up the brushes. You called the black brush the D3 and D4 multiple times.

C VMA: you kind of confuse me because you said they were both D3 at the beginning and then said that one is the D4.... y hubiese sido chevere que hubiera usado otro color de camisa porque no se ve nada con tu cabello oscuro :(

memr fewuz: There is no any difference between both sides

Max Van den dop: What a beautiful woman !!!!!

Dayli Lopez: I dislike the denman brush lol

Menna A. Mosaed: You are very beautiful and cute, I am Egyptian

Yoko Nono: omg i thougth you were arabic classic beauty

S.aura.h: Why so many adverts???

Sara B: طريقتك حلوه بس سوالفك واجد ليتك تسوين وانتي ساكته

Ss Minty Fresh: God Bless everyone Jesus is coming back sooner than we think you can turn to God Before it's to late you have free will

Lorena Piazza: what happened to her voice in 11:48

Brenda: With that black shirt I can't see your hair

Prasanna Patil: Y is the video so fkin lengthy?? I don't have time

Kamila Moyer: A
