This video is sponsored by EVA NYC.

Hey babes welcome back to my channel, thank you so very much for watching, first and foremost, stop drop and roll. We are gon na go from this to this. I'M gon na walk you through how to create kind of the opposite of my day-to-day look, which is more of a like less defined kind of frizzier, beachy, mermaidy, wave, hair vibe look effect, but today we're gon na be putting the denman brush to work on my Wavy, hair and creating silky smooth definition: it's gon na be a vibe and please be sure to give this video a thumbs up. It helps me out so very much in the algorithm. I really really really really will appreciate it. So please take half a second to give it a thumbs up. It'S free and biggest of thank yous to eva nyc for sponsoring today's video again, i am such a fan of their affordable products, so we'll be using them in the shower and then helping using their stylers to create today's look all right. Let'S do it. We are jumping right on in with the eva nyc satin dream, smoothing shampoo, baby boo, and this shampoo is key for fighting frizz, adding shine and just smoothing the hair in general you'll see at the end. This is truly the shiniest my hair has ever been, and it's silicone free. Might i add okay, so this shampoo, the key ingredients, are snow, mushroom and poppy seed. Oil, fun fact: snow mushroom is an 8th century chinese herb compared to hyaluronic acid. So what this essentially does is it pulls in moisture and delivers powerful anti-oxidation properties, while the poppy seed oil, which is also in our satin dreams, conditioner as well, is rich in phytonutrients and antioxidants that are absolutely key for adding moisture, and i really like super random, But i just love that the shampoo and conditioner caps are different colors on these products. It makes sense you will never mix up your shampoo and conditioner people. Never again. Someone was thinking and, of course, friendly reminder that these products are all cruelty. Free vegan sulfate, free silicone, free paraben, free thylak, free and gmo free and, of course, vegan, and because this conditioner creates such a great amount of slip, if you struggle with detangling, you will not need to add a detangling spray, a mask anything. This is enough. We are fresh out of the shower and you might be asking yourself, india, why are you rocking a middle part? That'S a great question. I have no idea myself, so we're gon na go ahead and fix that real, real quick, because i just don't. I don't have a face for a middle part. You may think no, india, you can pull it off. I cannot okay to all my gen z's out there. I can't i'm sorry it's just not just not in the cards. For me, wow i mean just how much better see what i'm talking about so now that we're fresh out the shower in order to enhance that extra frizz free, moisture, satiny vibe, we're gon na jump in with the eva nyc satin dream: smoothing leave-in cream. So if you struggle with frizz, i always say frizz is a curl begging for moisture. So adding a leave-in cream is a great way to help eliminate any and all frizz and really smooth down those flyaways. Since today we are going for that perfected defined frizz, free, smooth, look that you guys are always asking for it feels so soft and dreamy and creamy, and it amazes me this is silicone free, like how eva like how eva how and i do want to mention Once again that this satin dream line is in their new forever recyclable aluminum packaging, which is so important to me that eva nyc thinks about their impact on the earth. There'S so many hair products that i'm not able to recycle, like even after rinsing it out the packaging just isn't recyclable and to think about that impact that that has on the earth makes me feel guilty. So i love that this is a guilt-free product, where i know that this product is forever eternally going to be in recyclable rotation, and i just think that it's very impressive, even my see, you've outdone yourself and then we're just going to evenly rake it through this Side as well to just be sure that the product is evenly distributed throughout now that we've got our styling products for smoothing, we need our styling tools for smoothing and defining that's right. You guessed it. Ladies and gentlemen, you probably guessed it from the title of this video, but if you didn't read the title, that's right. We are using the denman brush here today, i'm very very excited this is going to be. I think the first time i've ever used a denman brush here in my channel. These are great if you want to add definition to your hair, and i think that the denman brush in particular is really marketed and geared towards the like curly hair community, which i know wavy. Girls are a part of, but i feel like it's more so targeted towards the 3a community and up and more so used by those influencers with 3a hair and up so today, i'm going to show you how a 2b wavy gal pal can use it as well. Get excited very first thing before even jumping in with a denman brush. It didn't break we're good you're gon na want to jump in with some water. That'S right, ladies and gentlemen, i will have a link to this in the description box. Down below these are amazing. Um to re-wet your hair because of course, we've been chit chatting and all that jazz. You want for your hair to be soaking, soaking wet. I always talk about this, but i never show you so you want your hair to be soaking soaking wet in order to achieve that perfect definition and to really let the demon brush just work its magic. Let me just wipe you down real quick and we're ready to go first things. First, i'm going to take a clip and we're going to be working fast, honey because we want to have this wet hair wet when we do it so um, i'm just going to section my hair in half. I don't have a lot of hair. So if you have super super thick hair, please by all means do three four sections: whatever you got ta do baby boo, i'm gon na show you how i use the denim brush to create a nice more defined look than i typically have um it's a little Bit different than maybe how most people use the demon brush but have curlier hair than me, but just be patient with me. So you want to take a section about yay big pop the brush underneath not over underneath place the hair in the center brush down and before you get to the ends about with this smudge hanging down you're kind of going to want to like curl the hair. By wrapping it around itself, you see how it's kind of creating like a rope curl. So you just want to like get that rope twist all the way to the top as tight as you want and then kind of like release it and then what you're gon na do is take it from the bottom and squish, and you wan na hear that Squish sound okay, you hear that hear that hear that sound now this is probably going to create a rather like clumpy curl. Once it's dried and you don't want to look like you only have like you know, seven curls on your head, but what we're gon na do once we're done and it's completely dry is separate the curls so that it'll still look nice and thick okay perfecto. All right, so each piece is definitely going to look a little bit different, but this is what this piece is. Looking like and honestly, like the more you vary, the decor, the direction you twist it the more. You vary um the width of the pieces, all that jazz it's going to make it look a little bit more natural because it won't be so perfected. So keep that in mind, depending on what look you're going for start from the bottom at the roots brush up bring down and twist okay, then we're gon na scrunch and i'm losing a little bit of water here. So i'm just going to spray. Some in my hand, there we go that's that squish, i'm looking for all right, i'm going to fast forward doing the rest of my head, and i will show you what it looks like before. I let it air dry all right girl. I am back after demon brushing my entire head of hair, except for a couple pieces in the back, because i'm lazy, um and this does take a while. I will say that this method takes a while, as you can see, my hair looks incredibly different than it normally does uh when my hair is soaking wet. My hair normally has naturally more of this pattern to it that s shape, whereas this is actually getting. You know spiraling action um, so that is the difference that the dim and brush technique will make and, of course, having the right smoothing products from the eva nyc satin dream line are really really helpful and, honestly in the past, i would have recommended doing a look Like this with silicones to get that perfect, frizz free satin finish, but even though these products are silicone free, you still get the smoothest hair you'll see once it's all dry, so i'm probably going to air dry most of my hair, but then maybe diffuse. Just a little bit air drying in general typically gives me more frizz free results. Diffusing can frizz it up a little bit. You know from like touching it and things of that nature, but we ain't got all day. I will see you once my hair is dry. We are back in better than ever. We are having a fantastic definition. Great spring i mean there is not freeze on my hair. It is just perfectly satin dreamy honey and i just want to say this little caveat before styling for the finished result. Um. I do get a lot of messages in regards to my hair and how i choose to style it. I love to do a more defined look and i love to do a more voluminous. Barely wavy look, you know i just enjoy playing with hair, and i think that truly is the beauty of having wavy and curly hair is that my hair can just be so easily manipulated to whatever i want it to be that day. So if i want to get products that give me a perfect frizz free, moisturized, hydrated, bouncy curly, look, then i can do it or i can create a more voluminous look and i can do that with other eva nyc products as well. Okay caveat over, and i just want to show you some of the definition and shine up close and personal so that you can just see um what we're working with. So if there are any bigger, clumped curls that you want to separate and create into multiple curls feel free to do so. Oh that's such a cute little baby. Once i'm separating your curls, i'm simply going to shake at the roots. So i'm going to try not to disturb the outer layer at all, because i don't want to create unnecessary frizz, so i'm kind of just creating underneath volume so that we can maintain our definition a little scrunch all right babes. These are our finished results using the eva, nyc, satin dreams collection. I love it. I wanted to get up close and personal so that you can more so see the shine that these products are creating um blonde hair in general, if you don't know, can be really really hard to get it to look shiny and healthy, even if it is it. Just can have a very dull and see-through appearance almost, but with the satin dream collection, my hair is looking honestly. The shiniest has ever looked, especially in person. It'S like whoa whoa, i'd love for you to vote down below on whether you prefer my hair, more defined and shiny, or, if you like, the more kind of like messy mermaid vibes. Let me know and be sure, to check out the links in my description box down below for all of the eva nyc sand, dream collection, products plus the denman brush. If you want to try to recreate this look, i think that the denman brush is perfect. For those of you, maybe longing to create more definition in your hair or if you just want to be able to switch it up some days, you're wavy some days, you're, more curly you're going to want this. If you enjoyed today's video, please be sure to give it a big thumbs up and, of course, big as a thank you to eva nyc for sponsoring today's video and until next time, i'll see you soon bye, guys

Tabatha Jacobus: I love this brush for all 6 of my children’s hair!! They are mixed, & each has a different hair texture.❤️ I have the cantu version for myself (which is literally the exact same), bc I typically tend to spend more money on my children vs myself. Anyway! Love your videos!!

Annie Bennett: this is the EXACT VIDEO I NEEDED YAYYAYAYA! i’ve been looking into buying a denman brush but there are no videos about it on someone with similar to my hair type! thank you india ❤️

Karen Hise: I love this look with healthy, defined and shiny curls! Thanks for all your tips and entertaining methods! ❤️

Laura Taylor: Honestly, this technique gave me the best waves I’ve ever had. Thank you so much! I was just wondering what you do to refresh your waves on day 2/3? Do you wet it and go in again with the denman brush? Thank you so much!!

Angela G: Girl, you could rock a middle part, side part, any color hair, straight, curly wavy or bald. You are beautiful all around and a beautiful person as well. You should get your Mom on again. The 2 of you are cute together.

Lidia Varga: I have 2c curls/waves and I always use the Denman. Love it! Also I recommend to extract some rows of the brush to get bigger clumps.

YG Williams: I tried this last night! Your tutorial helped to mitigate my expectations so I actually felt like I was successful! I have long, thick hair that’s wavier on the bottom (s-type pattern). This method helped me give my hair a uniform-ish pattern. Thanks for taking the time to show us!!!

BeautyWearsBoots: I think side parts can be a curly's BFF because it helps create volume, and you can even do zig zag or angled parts to hide any areas that aren't cooperating

Robyn: I love to see youtubers outside of the zero waste community promote sustainable brands/products, it reaches a much bigger audience and hopefully puts more pressure on other brands, thank you!

mce1939: Great video! I have curly hair, probably a little curlier than yours, and I've used a classic Denman brush for years cuz I wear my curly hair in vintage-inspired hairstyles a lot. The classic Denman is a "must have" for me!

Samantha Quintero: Why is every video so very amazing? Does anyone else notice how on top of being entertaining India is always giving actual information to us ladies? Love her!!!

Michaela Rothschild: Thank you SO MUCH for this!!! I've been trying to adapt the 3a+ denman tutorials for my looser texture and failing miserably haha. And also desperately searching for tutorials on a post-drying fluff-up technique that doesn't create frizz. So excited to try this, now on to binge your entire channel...

sundancer: I've found that using the denman brush also trained my curls over time!

Mrs. Adams: I would like to thank you for all your videos and sharing your knowledge! I also have 2B hair and never thought I could have it look like yours! Your videos inspire me to embrace and love my natural hair that I've been straightening for decades! Also, I love both styles on you! However, the sleek curls seem more appropriate for date night or glam events etc and the mermaid style for everyday. Either way, BEAutiful!

Jennifer Levitt: Thank you for posting this! I also have 2B waves & bought a Denman brush and tried following tutorials posted by those with curlier hair where they pretty much run the brush through like curling a piece of ribbon. Well, doing it that way only straightened out my waves. I’m really happy to finally find another way to use the same brush which works much better for my hair’s natural texture.

Monica Guzman: I love your hair❤️ the mermaid vibe look is my favorite tho c: it adds more volume and it allows for your curls to curl in the direction they naturally do

Leslie’s Mature Makeup & Beauty: Both styles are gorgeous but I do like the more defined look. It’s nice to be able to have the best of both worlds

C L: Finally a curly hair vid with eco-friendly products!! Love to see it and your hair is GORGEOUS!!

Rachel: I love how versatile your hair is! And this video reminds me of Bianca Renee's switch it up challenge. It can be so cool to switch up products and my styling routine

ll hughes: Girl you look fantastic with both styles. I think the wavy, beach’s mermaidy hair is MOST you, but defined curls are stunning as well!

Chloe Jones: I struggle big time with achieving definition, so that’s probably why it’s my favorite look lol. Thanks so much for this video, it helped a lot! I have a wet brush, but I’m not sure if it will work the same. Love both looks on you!!

Kristina: Great video as always, India. I love your hair more defined; however, I love your beachy look equally! I think you should alternate. Also, doing your hair with the Denman will 'train' your waves and can make them more defined or curlier. Maybe you should do your normal routine but do a few Denman spirals throughout your hair to create a totally different look! I would love to see a 2nd or 3rd day hair with the Denman! I'm guessing you will have much more volume and it could turn into something you adore! Also, maybe try the Denman style but add a light hold hold gel during the 'squishing the Denman spiral curl' part. That would def add more definition and make your 2nd and 3rd day curls POP with volume AND definition! In summary, I would love to see a 2nd video on different Denman uses, such as the ones I mentioned. I have a feeling it might bring more fun into your curl routine b/c our routines can become so monotonous and sometimes boring. P.S. I bought the Denman years ago before it was all over the internet and paid less than 12$. I see it is over 20$ now!!?! That is insane for a brush, shame on them for upping for the price just b/c everyone uses it now!!

Julia B: Love the look! I use the Denman brush now and then for a fancier look. I kind of pair it with finger coiling and a ton of gel/mousse and it literally comes out looking like I used a curling wand!

Crowned Lily: Gen Z needs to realize we did the middle part already. I wore one in both middle school, and high school. However, I wore my hair straight back then. Now that I've tossed out the flat iron, the middle part doesn't work with my wavy hair.

Helen Heggadon: This was helpful. This is my hair! Although i often get wet frizz at the root, or pick up the previous curl by accident when curling the next one. But it makes me happy to see my curl type looking so lush and lovely!

Brittanie Lack: OMG! Thank you for this! My daughter has your exact type of hair, and I really need visual hair tutorials exactly like this

Vicki Johnson: I've seen your hair over the past couple of years, and while it's always good, I really love it best this way, with more defined, soft looking waves!

Jane Billeter: I have 3a thick curly hair and the denman brush is the only thing that gives me frizz free defined curls... I love Eva NYC products too...they are amazing. You look beautiful no matter how you wear your hair...simply gorgeous

Chrystal Thornton: Thank you thank you for showing your hair at the beginning of this video. This is my hair exactly and I thought no one else was "blessed" with such strange hair. Now I think there is hope.

Bec Diane: Love the more defined look, but both are so beautiful!

pheeno barbidoll: Your final result is *exactly* my hair. Exactly. Volume, curl pattern all of it. I have *never* seen anyone end up with my exact hair before and I am jazzed out of my mind!

Cate Richards: Messy all the way, when I started caring for my wavy hair I was styling soaking wet and trying to get that well defined look, but I have changed my ways since watching your videos! Damp styling changed my whole hair game

Mica Pabia: I was worried the denman brush wouldn’t work on my wavy hair, but now I definitely want to try it! your hair looks beautiful

AK Honeybee 907: I’m a 2c-3A and this was so helpful to me! Thank you! I ordered the brush with the link you provided. The off brand is cheaper than expected so I am excited to give this a shot and make my curls more defined with less wet and dry frizz.

Sssstephanie: "you don't want to look like you have like, you know, 7 curls on your head" That's ME!!! Thanks for the tips for thinning/sparse fine hair people like me!

Kati Benzer: I love how versatile you are with your hair. It always looks great.

wavygirljessie: Loved your video India gorgeous results! I've got wavy hair and I've done a couple videos on the denman brush, my only issue is my hair is really fine and tangles super easy so no matter how much slip I have the denman rarely just glides through my hair I prefer to use the denman paddle brush to style with instead as it's easier with that brush

Rebecca Romine: I’ve been watching your videos for years. I think the big, beachy curls look best with this shorter length. But I gotta say, when it was really long I preferred the more defined curls. I mean either way you’re beautiful so. ❤️

nomadhermit: I love only a couple other wavy hair channels, but I will always love yours the most because you go for the messy waves vibes that I love! Definition is fun sometimes, but MY ultimate hair goals is young Julia Roberts in Mystic Pizza and Pretty Woman ❤️

ShallowWaters: Love it!!!! Both looks are great. I agree it’s wonderful to be able to switch it up.

Frances Keller: messy mermaid vibes both are-gorgeous tho!!! ps. that leave in creme smells so good! I love it for when im giving myself a blowout along with a relaxed and smooth airdry.

Deedra Nelson: Love your hair both ways! This was super helpful as someone who does like more definition and has a less defined wave pattern than you

Lauren Jill Marshall: Thank you for helping me wear my side-part with confidence once again. I’ve been feeling super old ever since I was told that it’s out, but I need it!

Lydia Thornton: Love the defined look, India!! Thanks for sharing this video!!

Christina Obert: Your hair looks so cute. I would never be able to pull this off without a gel. I do the same thing with the brush just upside down with the brush. It's almost like finger coiling just faster.

Hope Gleich: Not gonna lie, mochi NEEDS to drop that hair routine, his curls be poppin

Tanya Tucker: I love your hair both ways babe ❤️! I definitely think I could pull this look off so I may have to give it a try! I’ll tag you when I do try it on Instagram! Love ya boo!

Keri: Just got my behairful brush Was debating between the den man and behairful. I like to go for the messy big volume for me personally and love the results I get with the behairful!

Rosana Achraf: The results looked gorgeous! But beach/mermaid waves are definitely more of your vibe✨ Love watching your videos♥️

Chey Beauty: I def love this defined look. And I can't rock a middle part!

Syl B: Both looks are beautiful!!!! You look like you have a ton of hair! Hard to believe it isn't so. I guess, the right products and styling techniques are really worth it! Would love to see how you diffuse your hair these days.

Richardson Ramble: Almost 50 years of age here with a 25 year old daughter, guess you're never too old to learn new tricks. Natural curly with frizz, so I'm trying this; thank you!

Ivy Collins Poitras: I got a denman brush almost a year ago, tried it once and had an awful time with it. Felt like I pulled out half my hair and it came out SO frizzy and undefined, totally flattened any waves/curls. I thought it was because I have more wavy than curly hair but it worked amazingly on you?? Now I think I’m gonna have to find it wherever I threw it in my rage and try again haha

Public Service Announcement: Sometimes I use leave-in, foam, gel styling cream and a drop or 2 of oil or two to scrunch the crunch OR I use leave-in and detangling spray. Do you and have fun playing around and figuring out what works for YOU. Olaplex has made my hair feel so much less damaged than it's been since childhood. I trim it every 4-8 weeks too and that's made a huge difference.

KittyCatHotDish OnAStick: This is usually how I syle my hair! I love the definition! Thank you for this video India! ❤

Read with Chimey: By the way, you look absolutely beautiful. Your eyes are mesmerizing. I came here to find a solution to my wavy, frizzy hair, but got more blown away by your beautiful personality and face:) Stay blessed.

Jessica Brewster: I don’t know if I can vote on a preference. Honestly, your hair looks GORGEOUS either way!! I’ll definitely have to try this styling technique on my hair though!!!! Thanks for sharing :)

Julia Fuller: People who say anyone can rock a middle part dont understand how weird that looks with my widows peak

Marie Faulkner: You’re a beautiful soul!!! I’ve been doing my best rocking my natural hair more. Thank you for entertaining us!

Sherry Russell: Love it! My hair is very similar to yours. I have my denman brush but still haven’t used it lol. Will try your routine next wash day. Xo beautiful hair btw

Krisi Marovska: I have wavy hair and the denman brush is the best brush I have ever used! It doesn't pull out hair, it detangles, it's soo good, I have the older version, but thinking of getting this version too!

Susan Marie: Loving this more defined curl!

Gaelen de Klerk: THANK YOU for promoting cruelty free products ❤️❤️❤️

Bud Girl: I lone this !! I must get this brush cause my hair is exactly like yours!! Love it

Gather, Create, Live with Leslie H.: You do get so much more volume from the less defined hair do and I love that. I have very similar hair and now see why mine is so flat.

Karen Hise: I love how the top of your hair at the crown gives lift away from your face (I cannot make my hair do this and stay all day). On your next hair tutorial, will you show how you do that? Or even a few shorts with different options for the front of your hair. Just a thought.

The Spicy Butcher: How long does the process take for you? My hair is super thick I want to do this but it looks like it would take forever . What do you do for day 2 and 3

Cata Wood: i like both but i vote for the messy bigger hair. Thats my fav on my own hair too. Messy carefree lived in look <3

Orange Fox: Love this look, actually more than your usual way

Sunny Sky: I’m going to order this Trio. When you was washing with the shampoo, was the ends of your hair dry? My hair has been frizzy lately and it’s driving me crazy! Can’t wait too get this in the mail.

Kelly Sharnsky: I love your normal voluptuous look & have a similar look myself. HOWEVER, I do want to help some sections, like around my face, so I totally appreciate this vid!

Amy B: This is a different technique that I've seen others use with their Denman Brush. Thanks!

Anna Bland: I love this look and I’m interested in trying these products! Have you tried the Maui Moisture flaxseed formula for fine curly/wavy hair? I just got it for the first time and I think it’s a newer product. I’m excited to try it!

Deanna Hohenbery: I love how many videos you dedicate to drugstore products my wallet appreciates it lol you need to try the jozi curls at target! they are all $5 and amazing for my wavy hair!!

Better With The Irish: Love it! I’m going to have to try this. I love both ways. I’m like you I like switching it up depending on my mood

Nandini Gupta: I love this!!! So glad I subscribed so many years ago - feel like I've seen your hair evolve along with mine hahahha it's a journey. Love your content and you're the only YouTuber that hair like mine haha it's sooooo helpful to get your opinion ❤️ sending love from Toronto

Christy Durham: You hair looks wonderful!! I am gonna try this technique with my Denman brush. I like your hair both ways

Noralynn: I love both styles. That’s the fun of curly hair.

Debbie Creekkiller: I just started watching you tonight ! You are something else, and I LOVE it. I have liked them all plus subscribed. I think your hair is gorgeous no matter what you do, but personally, I like the messier look. Thank you so much for the tips, as I have curly hair too. It sometimes has a mind of its own ‍♀️. I now have some new, great tips to keep it curly, messy but not a hot mess !! Thank you and keep on doing you !

Ella G: For you, I feel like the mermaid vibes fit you better. However, I think adding one or two denman curls here or there would add to your look!

yessimperfections: I like both girl but I love a more defined look

Alicia's Reviews: Love it. Thanks. I will give it a try. My curls always look frizzy. These products are affordable.

Wuthel Fant: you should try flaxseed gel. it adds sooo much shine and moisture to the hair and it helps the curls to last longer <3 its easy to diy and the cost is minimum :D

Kaitlyn Ellis: Yayyy! I’m happy to see a video about using the Denman brush on wavy hair thank you❤️

LindyTN: Is anyone besides me thinking if you try this you will hopelessly get your hair wrapped and tangled in that brush????? I think there is a level of skill that needs to be perfected before trying this. LOL Your hair looks wonderful.
