Hi guys welcome to my channel. This is my very first video. Thank you so much for joining me and I hope that you'll join me for more today. I'M gon na be talking about the Dyson supersonic and comparing it to the Remington 3d air yeah in South Africa. The Remington has been getting a lot of buzz because our local drugstore has it on buy one get one free. As soon as you open the box. You will notice this beautiful case. The case itself has this very satiny feel and everything about it feels luxurious. I cannot fault this case at all, and obviously I will speak about the dyson later on that this is one of the areas we. I was absolutely amazed. The Remington's case is absolutely beautiful. When you open the box, you are immediately presented with the sleeve of plastic, which at first seems a little bit silly, but I guess it's to keep everything in place. The unit itself is pretty secure, so I'm not sure if that's really necessary, but oh well. The first thing that you see is the head of this diffuser and it really does remind me of my Dyson's head. I was surprised. The size is almost the same, and the silver accents really do make the stryer absolutely beautiful, so you'll notice that I keep poking at that piece of paper and it's kind of annoying. It'S a silly, the silly sleeve that fits over the base of this case and you'll see later on that in order to get the unit's out of the case, you actually have to lift the sleeve up swiftly. Moving on to the dyson supersonic, which I have had now for about two years also with this unit, you do notice that massive diffuser cup - it's not the biggest on the markets, I'm pretty sure the black orchid has a bigger head. I don't have one of those, but I will say that at least for my here, this cup is definitely sufficient to get the job done and later on. You will see that all of the attachments in the Dyson are magnetic. That'S really nice to have now. I'M just quickly pointing at all of the accessories which both units actually did have. There is the silicone mask the strap the manuals, both the Remington and the Dyson? Have these attachments, but I'll be honest, I've never use them. If you haven't used the Dyson before or seen it you'll see the very distinguishable hole that goes all the way through the Remington doesn't have that it's kind of an illusion on the Remington, because they have that piece of plastic. I did point it out, but I think I was talking so much and yes, my face is incoming and I'm gon na mess it up from the get-go just watch divided into Nicole, divided into two, but now anyway, moving on so without this becoming a styling video. I'M just quickly showing you that I'm putting a tiny bit of kinky curly custard throughout my hair, and I have split it in two. Yes, I could count after a while and on one side I will be showing the Dyson and on the other side I will be showing you the Remington, I'm also going to add a disclaimer that I don't always diffuse. I actually prefer air drying, but if I do diffuse or if I should say if I need to get out quickly, diffusing is king, but I know for a fact that diffusing in this way, what are you doing Nicole? I know that diffusing this way. I am going to have a flat middle. If I was gon na diffuse. I would do it upside down with focus on the top of my head. That'S usually the flattest. I don't. I don't know guys. I'M sorry. I don't know he has the magnetic heads that I was talking about and this never gets old. You don't know how satisfying that is on the Dyson over here, I'm showing you the different mechanisms on the top by the pink portion. You can adjust heat and fan speed at the bottom is the on and off, and a quick burst of cool, a button which is really handy as well. I must say: I'm not gon na do anything very fancy, yeah guys it's just gon na, be a pulsing motion with the Dyson using the cool and medium sitting, which I'll do the same thing with the Remington. So while I miraculously move at SuperSpeed every now and again I'll grab my towel and dab with that, I love my mommy so much. I can't explain my love, I'm sorry, guys! You'Ll notice, I don't diffuse to completely dry. Your remains inside upcoming you're about to see the lack of magnetic head yep. You can tell I'm pretty salty about it and also it doesn't go all the way through. I'M pretty sure you could see the that plastic sleeve or plastic foam going through the middle yeah, but the settings are pretty cool in the Remington very similar to the Dyson you're about to see me feel the heat yeah, because obviously this is the first time I'm Putting on the Remington - and I must say that it's not as hard to Esther Dyson, that medium setting is not as hot or warm. However, you want to describe it as the Dyson that could be a pulse for a negative thing. I think that one would go up to personal preference, but personally, I think for curly here it would actually be a good thing. I'Ve tried to keep this review as unbiased as possible, but please pay special attention to what's coming up. I continued pulsing and I must say at this point I was pretty happy with Gaia. The results were looking pretty good and overall usage was really easy, so which one do you choose? I mean the Dyson is a lot more expensive than the Remington, but before you make up your mind, have a look at this clip which happened on my second try of using the Remington. I can't believe that happened so, as you can tell, this wasn't really a planned recording. I was just doing it on my cell phone, hence the portrait mode, but I was shaken like who expects for a machine to chow a hey. I lost a good half of that clump. If you look at the length on this replay - and you can hear the Machine grinding, my hair, I was shaking for the rest of the day and honestly up until now, I'm still utterly appalled that a machine could do this to you here in the next few Minutes you're gon na see me ranting because I was so shaken. Nick just recorded this with my cell phone, I was really upset so yeah, I'm busy just trying to video something for Instagram, but I put the diffuser on now and I didn't expect my hair to be showered. However, you in this happen, you way he was sitting yeah. Were you in the bottom? The bottom. Could you yell it from the bathroom like it just it was like my. He got ground up by the motion yeah and we're not turn the machine back on now Nichols Nichols with me means a machine back on now. The machine might literally was on fire, not not the whole machine, but when you look inside the unit you can see orange, which I'm assuming is a flame, and then you were smoking. I was like okay, no, you switch it off and I must say that I know that the Dyson has the motor at the bottom, but I don't understand why this Remington has done this with my hair, like my mother has a Pollux machine and it's just one Of those old-school dryers, we were where the vent is at the back. I'Ve had my Navy caught in, like those old-school drives before, but usually it'll just be like a heel too, and then you can just pull it out and start like a big deal. Nick had to literally cut my hair now and now, I'm in a state where I was about to the committee, this project, justice, I was about to recommend sparked this. I was opposed to recommend this trial to everyone as a cheaper option. The choices are you hear getting sucked up into the machine? That'S I know it's just hey what, if it wind higher up like what? If what, if I didn't, switch it off in time because you don't, I quickly switched it off. I can't explain exactly what happens, of course in flames, and I fasted on eating near the motors jammed, so the motor is on the inside of the remington like this is a hole, and you still see my hair coming out of the thing. If I do this, I would have thought to myself that, because the motors on the inside that it would be hard for your hair to get sucked up, but my hair just went straight into the motor and then now this this, this machine is unusable. Who really disappointed? I mean, apart from the fact that I mean my scalp, is for now with any guts stuck really upset, because there are so many people that are buying this. Try are hoping that it's the same as the Dyson. Once again, I apologize for this. Being in portrait mode, it was not planned filming, but I really wants to record how I was feeling at the time just awesome honestly. After that ordeal, it is really hard to review this and be unbiased, but I will end off the review by saying that the Remington itself is a beautiful machine. The bag is absolutely stunning. The Dyson doesn't come with the bag like that. You have to pay for it extra so immediately the bag as a plus in the Remington. The design, however, on Dyson is unbeatable. There is no other machine on the market that has that motor on the handle. To my knowledge, I'm about to show you my results from both sides regardless and please ignore the flat predicted middle, but on the one side is the Dyson and on the other, is the Remington. I must say from far it looks pretty good on both sides. You probably can't see the difference, however, I am about to zoom in on both sides. Sympathy and then you can make up your own mind. Up first will be the Dyson side and I already know the results I get from Dyson they're, pretty good. The Dyson gives you this shine. That is really hard to explain on the other side is the Remington. Mb is no mistaking that there is a halo of frills. It'S not easily distinguishable from far, but up close, you do see it and it did progressively get worse over the days. I'M summarizing at Yale, with the pros and cons for both. You can pause this and have a look. If you'd, like I'd like to bring your attention to the very poor customer service from Remington, I message them almost six days ago. Now they read the message and have basically chosen not to reply. Our local drugstore clicks, on the other hand, were amazing and took back the machine without any issue, and that brings us to the end of the review. Thank you so much for joining me and I hope that you will subscribe and I will see you soon. My next video will most likely be on product usage, bye,

A K: Very nice review, loved the PPT on pros and cons. Just one question, does Dyson actually reduce heat damage as compared to any regular hair dryer? I have straight, moderately thick hair and want a dryer that does least amount of heat damage. If Dyson indeed beats other dryers, then I may consider the extra (lots) money. Glad if you can respond, Thanks.

brytnyt: I'm so sorry with what you experienced with Remington. But letting you know your review is helping me halfway across the world (Philippines) to decide against getting that machine. So glad I looked for reviews first.

Sumaya Essop: Thank you for the review I have very thick long hair, and the Dyson has made drying sooo much more bearable! It really is a great product

Billie Sinclair: Was hoping this would be a more affordable option instead of Dyson... dang. Thank you for this review. You probably saved my hair from being sucked up and butchered.

Line Asp Hansen: Thank you for this video! I've been wanting the dyson for a long time, and alot says that the remington is just as good, but I've tried like you, and get my hair stuck in a dryer, and I'm so afraid for that to happen again! I have hair down to my bum, so it's gonna get past the bottom. No thanks! So I will wait til I can afford the dyson. Thank you!

Pearly shells: Thanks heaps as I was almost about to order one tonight online. I did see a lot of good comments about the dryer but I also saw comments about it getting caught with the hair and I sort of thought that would not be an issue for me as I have not got very long hair. However after seeing it with my own eyes. I think it's not wise to get that dryer!

olive squash: I have the remington and it absolutely sucks up hair and even towels hanging nearby. Its not so much a problem for short hair (less than shoulder length), but I definitely wouldn't use this for long hair.

Cecille Van Staden: Thanks for a great review. I was considering buying the Remington Air 3D, but after seeing your hair get sucked into the machine I will no longer be doing that. I have long hair that is thick, it could get stuck as well.

Estefanía Gonzalez: Is very nice to have an honest review.... Anyway, I couldn't think to buy it, because is overpriced. I got the Karmin dryer and I love it

Naadei: Damn, I was just about to buy the product - it sucks that it doesn’t work on longer hair. There are a few other reviews saying the same thing - hope they fix it

Alicia Klazen: Nice review What was the drying time comparison? Also what is the price comparison? How much was the Remington?

funkrod: €400 for a hair dryer is insane

Smokei Grey: this was such a helpful review. Thank you.

Sarah Turner: Thank you for your video, very helpful to hear about hair getting sucked into the motor

Elizabeth Callaghan: Really informative love your stuff

Nadeige Singh: I’m so sorry for you hair! I do appreciate this video so much since I was doubting which diffuser to buy

sarsie84: I wish I found your video earlier because I bought the Remington air dryer. I used the diffuser and it did catch my hair and smelt burning.

Nirvana Naidu: Loooove it ❤️❤️ I just play with the Dyson driers in the shop

Natassia Botha: Thanks so much for this video. Im so glad I stumbled upon it because I was about to go and buy this tomorrow and I have long hair

Tita Zamoran: I have the remington dryer for 4 years, nothing Like that has happened to me

Nirvana Naidu: That Remington is dangerous no matter what hair type you have that is scary as heck

melancholyRed: Thank you! I'm definitely not buying Remington.

Meagan Nel: This really makes me think why they are trying to get rid of this item hence the Buy 1 Get 1. Lovely video though. Well done Nicole

Bee Gill: This is actually a very biased review. If you don't follow instructions of course your hair would get stuck and burnt. That would happen with any hairdryer. User malfunction not appliance. I have this dryer. NEVER had this problem.

grace malone: Not being funny but if you put your hair near the back of any hairdryer it’s going to get stuck in the propeller..

Chikara: I think you'd use an airplane engine to get your hair styled. The Remington works pretty well, maybe you're paid by Dyson.

Steff Peeters: Have you showed this video to Remington?

Tiffany Miller: Nicole This is so scary.. I feel like I should take mine back

Kureshan Pather: And here I thought I wouldn't get drama in the first video XD

ntube7: Sponsored by Dyson!

South African Curly Princess: Hi love the video

Shante Ogle: Yaaaaaas

Tom Brown: Your Dyson is Counterfeit ( Plug is Not a Dyson ) - Dyson is Also An Overpriced Below Average Hair Dryer - There Are Thousands Of Hair Dryers Throughout The World That Beat It. - I Do Like The Remington, But Severely Overpriced Too. God Bless

Meredith Playsontheinternets: Hahaha well that’s why nobody should have drugstore dryers - just my opinion
