Today, we're going to show you how to make a standard two and a quarter inch grosgrain boutique, though it might not be this easy, but it won't be hard either how to make a standard boutique, though you're going to need to 34 inch strips of two and A quarter inch grosgrain to three and a half inch strips of 3/8 inch grosgrain. What the zip tie to smaller clips just for holding your work as well. A lighter for sealing the ends of the ribbon, a pin, some nail clippers to clip the zip tie and some fabric scissors we're going to start by sealing the ends of all of our ribbon. This just prevents them from free. Now lay each of your 34 inch strips on top of each other line them up now we're going to fold them in half. We use our lighter just to heat up the ribbon on the end. So when we pinch it, it will leave a nice crimp. Now pull the end into the center, then I want to make this about 45 degrees. He'S one of your small clips to hold this in place. Now do the same on the other side, click that in place as well now take the center of the left loop and pull it into the center of the X. Do the same with the other side, overlapping, about half way use your PIN to hold this in place now flip it over, and you can remove your clips now we're going to start folding the bow so send the pin back to create a valley and then pinch It again, I'm gon na make another valley and then tuck it around the back to finish. I'M gon na do the same on the other side, so create a valley and a hill and then send it back just let it go now slide. Your zip tie under your finger and round and secure it to hold all of your folds in place, but don't tighten it down all the way, leave it a little bit loose. So you can make adjustments if you need to go ahead and pull your PIN out. Flip your bow around and make the adjustments that you need to make it nice and even one sides, a little bigger than the other. You can pinch down that side and slide the zip tie over and it'll make it more balanced, fluff up the bow and check for symmetry once you like it finish, tightening your zip tie and then use clippers to snip off the end. Now we're going to cover our clip right now, I'm measuring to see how long I need to make it it's a little bit long. So I'm going to trim off the end, don't forget to heat seal. It now run a strip of hot glue down the center and then you're going to lay that ribbon right on top. Try to keep it as straight as possible, now fold it over and put a little dab of glue right on the end of the clip and lay down that ribbon. Make sure you've got a nice flat space to put your clip, put down a generous amount of hot glue and then lay your clip down. Hold this in place for a minute to let the hot glue dry then you're gon na pinch, it open with one hand, put a dab of glue right in the center of the clip and then you're going to press that other strip of 3/8 inch ribbon right Into that glue, pull the ribbon around measure, how much you need it snip off the excess and then heat slip. Now we're going to glue the other end down. I like to hold the clip open with my index finger and my thumb and use my middle finger to hold the center ribbon in place and lay down that Center ribbon, just like so make sure not to glue your clip shut, pull off any excess strings. Fluff up your bow and you're all done the great thing about this style of boutique, though, is you can get super creative by that using different prints? Colors styles, you can get all the supplies you need for this tutorial at ribbon and bows. Oh, my calm. Thanks for watching
