Hey guys, hello and welcome back to my channel, so today i am going to be making bows. So i have a market tomorrow and of course, i've left it to the last minute. I sold a lot more bows at my last market than i thought i would have so now. I have a bunch of bows that i need to make. So what i do with my bows is. I just have like this box full of scrap materials um from making like the scrunchies like the mini, scrunchies and stuff, so i have like little remnants of fabric left over and then i do cut fabric as well. So i'm just going to go through this box. See what i have available in here and then i'm just going to go from there, i'm hoping to be able to make at least probably 15 bows, if not more, between standard size and the mini bows. So hopefully i have enough, like remnants of fabric in here. If not yeah, like i said i'll, have to cut off a few pieces, so i don't have much of anything so yeah, i'm pretty happy to just get a few bows. They don't. I normally don't sell like a lot of bows at um markets. I mean this is only my third market, but i'm guessing because of christmas coming up. Maybe that's why i sold a lot more at my last market than i thought i would have so yeah. Let'S get bow making okay. So while i'm sorting through my fabrics, i'm just going to turn on my iron, because i like to iron down my bow folds before making the actual bow, is um. Okay, so going through that box, it looks like there's a lot of pieces that are just really small that will be used for centers, and i have a couple of other little pieces, but yeah i'm gon na have to cut a whole bunch of fabrics. I think i think i've already used up all my scrap, but yeah we'll go from there. So i was just looking for my clips that i add into my bows and i did find a couple of already half made bows. So these are my mini bows, so i just need to add in a couple of center pieces, i'm not happy with this one. So i'm going to redo that one and then that's another mini, so i just have to add in this center part here. So if you haven't seen my bows before i do have like three left or something from my last markets, this is the regular size. This is the standard and they just have a clip on the back. They'Re super easy to make, and then this is like a mini size, so the mini size are a little bit smaller. They still have a clip on them and yeah, so i just need to make these centerpieces for a couple of them. So my irons are heated up now, so i'm going to get going now, maybe okay! So now i have a bunch of my fabrics: uh ironed up and some of the centerpiece is done. I don't like to do too many at once. Just in case i'm not going to get all these done. I want to make sure that i have some actual product done. I'M just going to take some thread and a needle - and i do just use white for this because it is just going to be in the center and i just make like a really long piece. Obviously you don't want to make it too long. Otherwise, it will get knotted, but i do like to have a decent size and put a little knot in the base of that and there we go so i like to try and measure my pieces so when i fold them. So this is what it looks like when it's ironed and then i fold it in half and try and make it as even as possible. I just get a ruler and i try to make sure that there's yeah basically the same size on each side, and then i just stitch it. So the good thing with making these bows is, if you don't quite like it, you just pull the thread out and start again so before i pull the needle all the way through. I just try to like, have a look at it and make sure that it's fluffy enough and that i'm yeah happy with it and then i just pull it through and then just wrap it around a few times making sure it's nice and tight in the center And then i just kind of play around with it to make sure that it's good, so it's not quite even so i'll, just unwrap it and then re-wrap the thread and i like to go around like three three-ish times. So that's pretty good. I'M pretty happy with that and just pull it nice and tight. And then i just do like a little stitch in the back, wrap the cotton around the needle a couple of times and then just pull it through. And then you have a knot and then i just cut that and then i just kind of play around with it. So it kind of looks funny when you don't have the centerpiece in. But then, when you put the centerpiece in it looks much nicer. So it's going to look something like that do so all right, so i have made all my bows, i'm pretty happy with the amount i've got so they're all dry now and, as you can see, the clip is really really sturdy like. I can pull that and it's not going anywhere. I'Ve never had an issue with anyone. Coming back to me saying that the clip has slipped out, so that's really good um yeah. I do like to glue it and then i know some people just like to slide it in, but yeah i like to glue it to make sure that it definitely holds. I know kids like to play around with their clips a lot. So if it's extra sturdy, then that's even better - i used to hot glue it in, but it just makes it bulky and yeah. I find using the fabric glue so much better. This fabric glue, which i've mentioned in the past, is not that great. It takes a long time to dry, so once this is all gone, i am going to get a better one that dries a lot quicker, but i have got. I'Ve got about 24 bows done, um and yeah, i'm pretty happy with that amount. If i get more time later, i might make a couple of extra ones just to make sure i have a good variety, but i want to concentrate on making some more scrunchies and things like that. For my market, i have a mixture of the bigger bows and then some of the mini bows as well, so yeah, okay guys. So i'm going to end this vlog here.
