So the first thing that you're going to need is shampoo and conditioner. This is just the suave professionals line, they're, really cheap they're about two dollars or less depends where you get them, and this is shampoo in the conditioner and for extensions. You don't really need anything crazy, expensive. You just need something that wash them and condition them in something that you know works decent. I'Ve used these on my hair before and they weren't all right. So I know that these do work. You don't again have to go out and spend crazy money for your extensions, but you do want to invest in a good, deep conditioning mask, and this is the triple moisture deep recovery hair mask from Neutrogena. I have used this quite a bit on my hair and it works amazing. So this is the first time I'm using them on my extensions, and you really want to invest in a really good, deep conditioning mask because your oils are not in your extensions like in your natural hair that are distributed from your scalp. These obviously are not attached to your scalp, so they don't have any type of oils at all. So you really need to replenish them and get a really good mask, and then you can need a brush or cup and then you're obviously going to need your extensions. Why not looking a little bit dry right now? These are the foxy locks extensions in superior set. I have recently done a review on these, so if you're interested I'll link the link below and I'm going to actually be doing a new, updated review on it. An actual review, because I feel like the last one wasn't that great. But in a very last thing that you'll need is just a basic towel, preferably one. That'S long enough to lay out all your extensions and you're going to want to do this in an area that you don't care, gets a little wet or gets hair on it. So I'm just doing it in the bathroom sink, so the first step is to brush them out and I'm going to brush these individually and then i'll meet you guys are back before you actually start washing you're going to want to go ahead and lay out your Towel and just lay it out like this, so that your extensions are easier to lay out in to grab before we start, I'm going to go ahead and brush them out one more time, because it you want this to be tangled free. Okay, then I'm going to put the water on lukewarm and then we're going to put the condition and condition are extensions together. You - and this right here is just like the color from where I dyed them. That'S coming out, then you're going to rinse with them. We'Re just going to take these together. I basically wring them out already and you're, going to lay them gently on your towel and you're just going to want to pick up the first one, since this is a single one, I'm going to take two and another single. So that it's a decent amount of hair and by picking the ones on top it helps with the tangled so that they don't get tangled so we're going to go ahead and wash and condition these instead, taking these extensions we're going to wet them, it will take The shampoo and put a little just a little bit do not mean too much if you have hairspray or any other products, you might want to use a little more, but we're just going to massage this into our hair all the way down to the tips so Root or left to tip and you're just going to really make sure that you wash them pretty decently, then we're going to rent and I'm going to rinse again with lukewarm water you're going to want to make sure that you get all the shampoo out so that It doesn't make it greasy or have any product left in it. So now we're going to take your deep conditioning mask which ever one that you choose and you're going to take a decent amount, nothing too much, just a decent amount and start from the top. The hair and just work your way down. They are starting to look a little rough, but once you wash this out, they'll become smoother, so they are going to look really tangled and gross, but just ignore that for now once you have the condition we're going to. Let this sit for, however long you want mind, I'm pretty damaged and dry, so i think i'm going to let it sit for probably 20 25 minutes. So what you're going to do now is going to take this and where we have this hair go down and just let it soak and then take another left or two and then repeat the process. So i'm going to do a few of these and let you see how I do you so when you get them washing and conditioning, they should look like this just chillin on the towel and they are kind of clumped up just because we're letting the conditioning soak In for a while, if you notice for the bigger pieces, I use more conditioning because there's more hair in those pieces so make sure that if you have bigger hair pieces, you use more conditioning. So I'm just going to let these sit here. For probably like 30 minutes and then I'll check back with you guys before I go and let these sit, I just wanted to mention that you don't want them to sit on the floor. You can't put them in the bathtub or move them to your bedroom and then bring them back to rinse them out. So you don't have to keep them on the floor. So it's been about 30 minutes and I just kind of grabbed all of my extensions together and I'm going to go ahead and rinse them out together. Then I'm going to put some more at this conditioner and just because I want it to be really conditioned. You now I'm going to take them individually and I'm going to rent them really well and get all the conditioner out with really cold water. To give it a really good shine you, so i just got done rinsing out all the conditioning and everything and they kind of just got thrown into like this jumble of a mess. So now I'm basically just going to take them all and i'm going to bundle them up gently and i'm going to wrap this towel up and then i'm going to take it in my room and lay it out. So, as you can tell right now, they're like a little a little bundle, and i pulled one piece away and you're going to want to do they even take whichever ones on top and it's a little tingly as you can see, we're just going to start at The bottom and gently brush it and work our way to the top. I don't know if you can see this, but i'm just again, starting at the bottom and working to the top, and once you get it brushed out, i don't know if you can see, we brushing it. Sorry, if it's out of frame once it's brushed out and smoothed over we're going to take it and lay it at the end right there and you're, basically just going to do that to all the pieces and lay them out make sure that they're flat like. Let me find one that's a little bigger like save this piece, for example, how it has four clips. Instead of laying it like this you're going to want to lay it brush, it out, first obviously, and then lay it out flat and keep them together like this piece, but make the whole piece like that. So I'm going to go ahead and do that to all the pieces and then I'll check back with you guys. So this is what they look like after they've been brushed out, tangled free and just laying flat. This is probably the hardest step for me, because I'm a very impatient person I like to get things done, quick and everything in this step. You have to take your time with and really make sure you work it gently because, regardless of whether you use a comb or a brush, you are going to lose quite a bit of hair, not nothing too bad, but you're going to lose some hair. So you want to be very careful with this, so you don't lose too much. Also when you wash them, you might see a little bit of hair come out. That'S normal. A little bit of hair is going to be lost when you wash them. That'S why you only want to wash them when you need to. I really only wash mine about once a month, because I keep them straight and I don't put any products in them. So if you leave it the same style, then you can basically just get away with not washing it as often the only thing is they don't have oils so you're going to have to replenish them and they do break easy. So you want to make sure that you're careful with the ends when you're brushing them out. That'S a really big deal, because you don't want any more split ends and you don't want to lose any more hair than you need to. So this is the video sorry that the quality isn't that great or that it's kind of dysfunctional. I don't really know how to explain how to wash them. So sorry, if it's a little confusing, but it's actually very easy to wash them, it does take a while. So you want to do this at night, I'm watching them during the day. But ideally you want to do this at night and then let them air dry overnight and then in the morning you can just put them in. However, you don't have to let them air dry if you laid them out like this, you can get a hair, dryer put it on the setting cool and you can air dry them that way with the blow dryer, but make sure that's on cool because you don't Want again any more split ends or anything like that so and I don't put any product in mine again, so I don't put any heat heat protector, anything on it. I don't put any products at all whatsoever, so I basically just let them air dry and do this thing and then put them in. So that's what I do and thank you guys for requesting this and please keep it tuned for keep it to that. Please keep watch for my new review on these extensions if you're interested I'll put the old review in the description box so make sure you check that out make sure you subscribe. Follow me on Twitter and Instagram and thank you guys so much for watching I'll catch. In my next video bye,

Kaylee A: Omg this helped me so much! Thanks!

Heather Eidahl: You should use a sulfate free shampoo on your extensions, it will help them last longer and prevent the shampoo from stripping away the hairs. :)
