LHASA APSO3: At the top of the list of some of the things that cause hair loss is heredity, disease, and medications. Then there is the assortment of products used for "haircare," such as shampoos, conditioners, volumizers, hair sprays, texturizers, color, straighteners, heat and yes even food. Unless you know a person's medical history, don't be so quick to judge and explain their hair loss or why they choose to wear wigs and weaves. I agree that people need to be thoroughly educated about the dangers of using products that can cause hair damage, but by the same token some will take that chance, all in the name of beauty.

lisa lewis: I been knew this for years. I used to work at 2 beauty supply stores. I test it by burning just a little bit. Human hair smells like burnt hair when burned.

No human hair for me anymore, because of the problem of demonic spirits attached to hair, especially the stuff coming from India, China, and South America, but also I believe women the world over need to stop cutting off their glory, AND we America (primarily) women need to realize that there are teams of MEN literally stealing women's hair just to sell it on a black market (Brazil), and THAT practice definitely needs to stop. Ha! Men have better hair than women do, so why in the world aren't they growing their own hair long and selling that??? Bothers me that many, many women have beautiful long (more than 10 inches) hair and just because they do not know how to take care of it so that they could realize its full potential, the turn to weave and extensions put in the wrong way. Next time you buy a weave do your own testing, simply cut a piece at the end, and burn it, and watch it carefully if it's synthetic it will burn so first. I want you concentrate on the smell it should small like rubber. Another thing to watch for is, if it's "synthetic" it will have a little beads, where the fire stopped. oh when the burning stops don't burn the whole thing stop the burning halfway. Do also the test your own hair that way u can tell the difference by the small of the two. Bcz human hair and synthetic hair small way different. PLEASE CUT PIECE OF YOUR HAIR THEN BURN IT.
